After more than four years between classes, I was so happy to return to Heather's class in person! I was pleasantly surprised to find that Adeline has moved to a new, even better location, just a few doors up. This class was exactly what I need, and I especially appreciate the helpful title: "Continuing Beginner," that's me all right! September will be 9 years I've been practicing yoga, but (almost ) half of that has been (almost) entirely on Zoom so getting in-person adjustments is a welcome change. I come with the heart of a beginner. Thanks for the great class! Also, pro tip for other continuing beginners: if you don't go to Adeline Bakery for a treat after this class ends, you're doing it wrong.
The class is a joy which ends with a feeling of wellness, connection with how I stand/move. Each pose is clearly demostrated and supported by Ana; great care is given to us as we respond. There is help, praise, and encouragement.
Schitt's Creek, Great British Baking Show, Adeline Yoga. What do these have in common? They all give me the warm and fuzzies :) After suffering from weeks of painful sciatica pain, I decided to start yoga. Starting anything new - regardless of age - can be scary. Not here! All of the staff and teachers have been unbelievably supportive, kind, and patient as I learn the names, the poses, and just how flexible (or not) my body can be at all hours of the day :) The environment is very light-hearted, and the teachers make us laugh during every class. I am only a few weeks in, but I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a safe and gentle environment, with the friendliest group of people around!
