I needed my dryer vent cleaned, so I called B&T Air Duct Service. Roger showed up right on time and did a quick but very thorough job getting all the lint out. He really knew what he was doing. After cleaning, Roger checked the airflow and noticed the pressure still wasn’t quite right. He went up on the roof to check the vent cap and found that the original builder had done a poor job installing it—using duct tape and plaster instead of a proper elbow connection. Roger had the right part with him and fixed it the right way, which took just about 25 extra minutes. Now my dryer vent works perfectly. The price for both the cleaning and the repair was very fair. I’m really happy with the service and will definitely use them again. Highly recommended for anyone needing air duct or dryer vent cleaning in Jersey City!

I went to Michelle in October for my hair. She did a cut, color, styled and put my extensions in. I get 8 colors in my hair, with a split dye, multiple patterns and some pieces one color some are up to 8 colors, so it’s a lot of work! She is absolutely amazing! Everything comes out perfect!! The vivids pop and some pieces are pastel which I love! She is extremely kind, patient, talented, knowledgeable. She genuinely cares about you and your hair health. She will give you what you want, while also making recommendations and making sure your hair is healthy! I don’t think that you could find anyone better who will do more of an amazing job while making you feel comfortable and answering all your questions along with product recommendations. I’ve been going to Sunbelievable-Westerleigh for many years. Although every worker there is super friendly, there’s no one like Anne! Not only is she super friendly, but her knowledge of how to use each tanning bed and what’s best for everyone’s specific needs is something that all the employees there should know especially for safety, and they all do not. She goes out of her way to make sure your experience there meets all your expectations! If I don’t c her when I walk in I’m actually hesitant to go bc I burn very easily and I’ve had some issues there with burning when other employees have suggested what to use. But NEVER when Anne is there! When you go there ask for Ann! She’s the best!

This is my second time coming here after searching for a good salon on the island and I’m so glad I found it. The staff is friendly and professional, and you can tell they really care about their work. Jesse did such an amazing job on my nails, paying attention to every detail and making sure everything looked perfect. They work quickly but never rush the quality. My nails came out exactly how I wanted, if not better. I’ll definitely keep coming back and highly recommend.

I have gotten my nails done by almost few different manicurists however the work they do here is great and better than any other place I have visited. I’m so happy with this studio! I’ve always struggled with getting lashes that last and feel worth the money. I also have sensory issues so if lashes are too thick or feel crunchy I end up removing them but for the FIRST TIME my lashes have held up sooo well! I haven’t lost any when washing them, very few when brushing them out, they don’t feel crunchy at all and this is the 2 week retention! So happy with my experience, I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Prices for fills are a bit higher than other studios but in my opinion it’s worth it, you get what you pay for!

I have used Coda Electrico a number of times over the last few years to do some updates. I live in an old co-op building with over 100 apartments, Jack and his crew updated all the electric boxes for the entire building and since then they have done a number of jobs in my apartment including LED ceiling lights , closet lights , electrical boxes in ceiling, installed ceiling fans etc. I just had Joey in about a month ago and he installed some led closet/ pantry lighting that looks fantastic. Going to have Joey come back and do a hall closet next. My mother is also a happy customer. I highly recommend! The are my go-to guys for any & all electrical work.
About 21 years ago, we had hired website Electric to do all the wiring for our backyard pool, including exterior lighting. Their work was fantastic back then, which leads us to today. We haven't needed any electrical work since however we had a slight problem whereas we needed them to come back and check out our Breakers fixing a small problem. The company is just as good as it was back then, and we are glad they are still in business. Highly recommended to anybody on the island needing work.
Roger did an amazing job of putting things in order, correcting a few decades-old issues in our Cobble Hill house before we rented it out two years ago and helping in crucial matters concerning combining two apartments in Brooklyn Bridge Park. He is extremely careful, very resourceful and amazingly neat in his work. He is creative in solving difficult problems - which in a 177-year-old brownstone is hugely helpful. I had my deck cleaned and sealed by Ralph of Powerhouse Pressure Washing over the weekend, as I have many times in the past. He offered a very competitive price and did the same great job he's done since I've known him. I definitely recommend him.
I booked Crazy Clean for a move-out cleaning, and they exceeded what I expected. The apartment looked better than when I moved in. Every room was spotless, and the kitchen and bathroom were especially impressive. Their work made the move-out process so much less stressful.

In May of 2023, my husband and I bought our first home, and we hired Vinny to transform our front-yard and backyard. In the back, he and his team removed the old deck, graded, sodded, and added mulch and top soil to the yard, and in the front, he re-sodded, added new top soil, mulch, and flowers. Working with Vinny was excellent! He took great pride in his work. We had a tight schedule when he hired him, and he made it work well with his team. Had a very large tree at the back of my property pruned today by G&R Tree Removal Service and was very happy with both their work and service. The crew was excellent and super helpful with moving all the patio furniture out of the way. They did excellent work on the tree and did a superb job cleaning up when they were finished. The price that I was quoted was very reasonable and I would have no problem using them in the future.

Dr. Zaccariello, gentle, friendly, compasionate, knowledgble... I called on a Sunday evening, and sure enough Judy answered and quickly arranged for me to be seen by the doctor. I was in huge pain. Dr. Zaccariello met me in the office within 30 minutes after my initial call. I can't thank him enough, the whole process of extracting the tooth was pain free. Didn't feel even the needle when he numbed my gums. He is a true dentist like a dentist should be. I highly recomend him.

He has a super pleasant bedside manner and takes the time to talk and really know the patient prior to any work being done. I am happy with the end result on the first implant and eager to start the second.

She was kind, professional, took her time and explained fully everything she did. Dr Taheri was very calming and explanatory. I had an issue that needed to be checked, and Dr Taheri was totally honest regarding my situation. I am 63 years old, and I could honestly say this was the best dental experience I’ve ever had. I am so happy that I finally visiting this office.

My treatment by Dr. Rao was so very kind, patient, attentive, knowledgeable and he has a pleasant sense of humor and easy on the eyes! Although my Sleep Apnea dental appliance took a long time with scheduling and calls to insurance companies I can say this dental appliance is sleek and comfortable. I have had other dental sleep appliances for the last 12 years (they last about 5 years ) and as time passes companies create better and more comfortable appliances. Dr Rao used top of the line AI EQUIPTMENT and computerized photography to create this mouth piece. This is the FIRST TIME it needed ZERO adjustments upon trying it on. WOW! I was very impressed. I can also say, if you are still using the Sleep Apnea Machine, I urge you to TRY the oral appliance, you will LOVE IT! It is like wearing a retainer! No tubes to clean, no attachments and easy to travel with. You also do not need to keep checking in with your pulmonologist for readings. For those who are snoring and gasping for air and haven't done your sleep study, I highly recommend you do so asap and let them know you would like to see Dr Rao at Oakwood Dental of Tottenville for a necessary sleep apnea dental appliance! It is also good for your heart and I am not waking up in the middle of the night for bathroom visits, I am sleeping better and I even lost weight because I was not craving during the day! 2025..Update several years later...If it wasn't for Dr. Defeo I would have NO front top or bottom teeth....change that to NO TEETH AT ALL. He's a brilliant dentist and once again, I thought that was it...after not showing up for way too long for an appointment...I was sure he was going to tell me that I needed dentures but no..he is fixing the teeth that need fixing and his bridges and crowns LAST FOR SO LONG...I've never had one of his cbridges or crowns replaced. The bad reviews because the front desk is so busy are absurd. They are the nicest ladies to me. Dr. Defeo is of the best dentists and human beings on Staten Island.

Dr. Rubenstein has been our Veterinarian for our cats and dog since 1989 and if we ever get another pet, their first visit would be to Victory Veterinary Practice. He used his skillful hands, not scans, to examine and diagnose. He’s gentle, yet got the job done. The studio itself is beautiful and well-organized, creating a serene and welcoming environment from the moment you walk in.Nicole, the instructor, did an excellent job teaching the class. I came in with a persistent neck problem and left not only feeling energized but also pain-free. Her approach to teaching is both gentle and effective, making it accessible for all skill levels.The only thing I would suggest is perhaps incorporating a slightly more intense class option for those looking for a bit more challenge. However, even with that in mind, my experience was outstanding. I give Yoga Nook Studio a well-deserved 5 stars!
Love this little Pilates studio, perfect way to get your workout in if you’re a Staten Island local. Everyone is so friendly and each instructor has their own style! Christine the owner is so lovely and always within reach, love that it’s a puppy and Pilates class, keeps the energy moving in the room!

I have been taking classes with Agnes Zbylut for the better part of a year. In that span of time, no two sessions have ever been remotely the same! An experienced and extremely knowledgeable instructor -- with a doctorate in physical therapy, no less -- she provides a challenging and safe mix of exercises in each class. Importantly, she accommodates the varying levels and ages of participants seamlessly. Her instructions are thorough, and the constant change is refreshing. I have recently added occasional private sessions with this highly-capable trainer. I love her!

This wonderful establishment was able to help my finance’s dream come true! Funny story, she was struggling to find a place that would help her due to English being a second language. One of the biggest challenges aside the language barrier is scheduling and time constraints. Time is against her because of our daughter’s school schedule so traveling outside “the island” for lessons is impossible. Lucky for us, one of the instructors is bilingual and was kind enough to go above and beyond the scope of her job description to help her better understand the lessons (gracias por sus esfuerzos; thank you for your efforts). Once we connected and had her settled in, the other challenge was to help her understand proper driving technique/ etiquette and get the practice down packed in time so she can pass the road test prior to her permit expiring on her b-day. Took her four attempts to pass (at no fault of the driving school) and on the fifth attempt right before her b-day, she did it! Needless to say that their efforts were not in vain; I highly recommend this school for anyone struggling to learn from A-Z and no prior driving experience whatsoever and with English as a second language! I also just passed my road test today on my first try thanks to Monique. She was very patient and very eager to make me pass. I used South Shore Driving School for my daughter and highly recommend them. Owen made her feel comfortable from the start and took his time. This along with necessary corrections made it possible for her to pass her road test on the first try. Thank you!
Best place to learn to drive! honestly, Sujata was the MOST AMAZING driving instructor. She gives the best advice and tips, and driving with her you will feel confident you will most definitely learn how to drive and pass your road test. If I could give her 10 stars, I would. She’s patient and thoroughly explains what you need to do to become better. Amazing person and instructor.
The only con is that when booking the road test, the wait is really long. Overall one of the best experiences ??⬛
You actually learn how to drive with this instructor, it's not just driving around the block with someone else touching the steering wheel and braking for you all the time (unless it's for safety, of course). This academy is very prompt with getting you started and being consistent. They are patient and flexible with scheduling and the rate at which you pay, as long as you finish paying by the time you take your road test (if doing a package). Reasonably priced and you don't feel pressured to take more lessons than you need. I highly recommend this driving school. I was able to pass my test on the first try because they were able to build my confidence.
I only booked them to take me to my road test and for one practice, but they were great. They were great about scheduling and were nice enough to reschedule me when I missed an appointment.
The only thing I don't like about this is that you have to wait to receive your certificate via mail. The option to get a digital copy is not available.
This is an absolutely wonderful school. My triplets went to this school and all passed the road test the first time with great scores. Thank you!
Thanks to instructor Ali. His skill of teaching outstanding. After 6 hrs hard work fill squeesed like a lemon, but happy and left course with motocycle driver license. Highly recommended.
I cannot thank Island Driving School enough, especially Lenny, for being the absolute BEST driving instructor ever. From the very first lesson, Lenny made me feel comfortable, confident, and truly prepared for the road. He has a way of teaching that's patient, encouraging, and never stressful, even when I was nervous. Every lesson was thorough, and he always made sure I understood not just what to do, but why it's important for safe driving.
