“My treatment by Dr. Rao was so very kind, patient, attentive, knowledgeable and he has a pleasant sense of humor and easy on the eyes! Although my Sleep Apnea dental appliance took a long time with scheduling and calls to insurance companies I can say this dental appliance is sleek and comfortable. I have had other dental sleep appliances for the last 12 years (they last about 5 years ) and as time passes companies create better and more comfortable appliances. Dr Rao used top of the line AI EQUIPTMENT and computerized photography to create this mouth piece. This is the FIRST TIME it needed ZERO adjustments upon trying it on. WOW! I was very impressed. I can also say, if you are still using the Sleep Apnea Machine, I urge you to TRY the oral appliance, you will LOVE IT! It is like wearing a retainer! No tubes to clean, no attachments and easy to travel with. You also do not need to keep checking in with your pulmonologist for readings. For those who are snoring and gasping for air and haven't done your sleep study, I highly recommend you do so asap and let them know you would like to see Dr Rao at Oakwood Dental of Tottenville for a necessary sleep apnea dental appliance! It is also good for your heart and I am not waking up in the middle of the night for bathroom visits, I am sleeping better and I even lost weight because I was not craving during the day! Check with your health insurance company because they will reimburse you a good percentage, as this is a necessity for your health. Dr Rao does this process as well. “Dr. Zaccariello, gentle, friendly, compasionate, knowledgble... I called on a Sunday evening, and sure enough Judy answered and quickly arranged for me to be seen by the doctor. I was in huge pain. Dr. Zaccariello met me in the office within 30 minutes after my initial call. I can't thank him enough, the whole process of extracting the tooth was pain free. Didn't feel even the needle when he numbed my gums. He is a true dentist like a dentist should be. I highly recomend him.“

“2025..Update several years later...If it wasn't for Dr. Defeo I would have NO front top or bottom teeth....change that to NO TEETH AT ALL. He's a brilliant dentist and once again, I thought that was it...after not showing up for way too long for an appointment...I was sure he was going to tell me that I needed dentures but no..he is fixing the teeth that need fixing and his bridges and crowns LAST FOR SO LONG...I've never had one of his cbridges or crowns replaced. The bad reviews because the front desk is so busy are absurd. They are the nicest ladies to me. Dr. Defeo is of the best dentists and human beings on Staten Island.“
