I originally came to Sebastian just hoping to add sleeves to a sleeveless dress. Not only was he incredibly gracious and welcoming, but he also took the time to truly look at the design and make the 'impossible' possible. On top of that, despite a very tight deadline, he was able to adjust the fit and alter the length of the dress perfectly.

First time here dropping off a suit and the man was very courteous. When I picked it up a week later the woman came out as soon as she heard me walk in and was just as courteous. Both times they had me in and out in under 1 minute. Prices are fair.“

“Absolutely bring your alterations here. The man is very talented, reasonable, very accommodating. I am so grateful for this place!!!! My baby shower was 4/19. 4/18 I picked my dress up from a tailor in Eltingville next to eltingville nails and sofias restaurant. It was done so badly and that’s the first two pictures i included. My mom desperately brought my dress to Nelson tailors 25 minutes before they closed on Saturday and asked if he could help. He said yes and he completely saved my baby shower dress. I did not take a good picture of the finished product but you can see how much better he fixed it in the last two photos. He charged less than half of what the Eltingville tailor charged and even though he was closed on Sunday, allowed my mom to pick up the dress on Sunday morning 4/19 before my shower. I wish I went there in the first place, the man is very talented, knows exactly what he is doing and is more than fair/reasonable in pricing im very grateful for this place!!! Absolutely take your alterations here.“

I’ve never had an issue with all the tailoring I’ve brought here, Maria does a good job with everything I’ve brought her and she’s done all my suits both jackets and pants, and dresses. I’ve never had an issue with anything she’s altered for me before and I’ve done more than 20+ outfits altered by her. Originally I came here because it was around the corner, but since I’ve moved I still drive the extra distance to come here.“

“This lady charges reasonable prices and works pretty quickly. She sewed up a bag same day that other people said cannot be repaired and replaced the end of the sleeves on a jacket so well that you cannot tell it was altered.“

“I recently stopped by Amboy Cleaners for their tailoring services. I dropped of a hat I wanted a patch affixed to. I came with a price range in mind and when I asked how much my job would cost they lovely and charming young lady was spot on with what I felt was a fair price. Now that is some good business when everybody wins.

Now that my former local dry cleaner and tailor, Yukon Cleaners (had been using them since 1975), has closed their shop and retired (may God grant them hapiness), I am happy I so easily pivoted to finding a new to me, but still a long established and well regarded venue, that can undoubtedly address my dry cleaning and tailoring needs. I look forward to future business here.“
