Glad I called them! Needed a dog run built at the back of our house called Top Notch fenceing Clay came out and came up with a plan then sent me a quote we made sure we were on the same page and I told Clay let's do it. The following Monday Josh arrived with Ty and Zack they unloaded supplies and started putting in fence post. By the end of the day all the fence post were in and the area was completely cleaned up! The following day they arrived and started putting everything together even incorporating a ten foot by ten foot kennel we had to save us money. By the end of the day the job was all done the area was immaculately cleaned! Ty even took the time to greet our new rescue! Very impressive the new dog run looks fantastic! Now our rescue is enjoying all the room she needs! Thank you Josh Ty and Zack for a job well done! Georgina and her team were wonderful, efficient, and did an excellent job. They went above and beyond including cleaning outside windows that I had said they didn't need to worry about. They completed our move-out clean quickly without compromising on quality. They also very generously offered us a discount on their rates given the difficult circumstances we were dealing with. Drew and his crew at Starke Contracting LTD were great to deal with. They were professional, punctual, and most of all, they were personable. Drew met with us to discuss our project (remodelling a shed, and building our dream deck), and not only was he able to turn our ideas into a physical reality, he added some beautiful touches of his own. They are a truly talented bunch (just look at their photos online ?). Came in on time, and more importantly for us….on budget!! Highly recommended!!! Give them a call, you won’t be disappointed!!!!
We arrived home from vacation to discover water damage done to our home, we called the insurance company. Within 2 hours Yaya was at our door willing and able to handle our situation. He was a very welcomed sight. Yaya communicates well, and knows how to get things done. We are looking to working with him again while we continue this process.
Tomas is awesome. He is kind, professional, and organized -- provides an upfront quote via email. He gave me some great advise on salvaging parts before discarding. We had Tomas come in fix drywall at our workplace twice now and moving on we trust him with all our repairs.. He is knowledgeable and charges fairly for his time and expertise.
I called for siding repair, which I understand is a smaller job and also can be tricky. Dylan responded right away, color matched our older siding and repaired it making it all look brand new. He was thorough and consulted with me throughout to make sure that we were happy with the work. The quote was exactly what we were charged and the end result even better than we expected. Without hesitation, we highly recommend Canpro Deck and Rail Nanaimo. As many people would be, we were hesitant at first knowing this would be a major replacement of our large deck, both decking and railings. We were hoping for the best and got that and more with a knowledgeable and very competent team, especially Nick, Frank and Joe. They exceeded our expectations on all levels, deconstruction, prep and install.
We are very pleased the outcome! Owner was professional from start to finish. He was very responsive as we added on a small amount after the original quote and it was no problem. He and his team did all the drywall repairs and painting. We asked him to come back for some small touch ups in the evening and it was done by 9:30 the next morning. He explained the quality of the paint, helped with colour choices and cleaned up all through the process. Price was fair and the quality of the work shows. We worked with MJ Chahley Construction on a previous renovation so we contacted them to work on the renovation of our recently purchased home. We can't say enough good things about our experience with them. Their staff and subtrades were very efficient and professional. Mike and Lavona were very good at keeping everyone on schedule and ensuring that the site was kept clean and tidy. They also gave us some very helpful advice and design ideas when we were feeling a little overwhelmed by all the decisions. The work quality is excellent and we are very pleased with the results.

Have been coming since they opened in 2018, before moving to Nanaimo I actually used to drive from Ladysmith(25 min) specifically to come to Four Crows cause their so good. It’s the only barber shop I’ve ever been to where they take their time. The staff are all awesome, down to earth, cool personality’s, great conversations, everyone’s always happy. They have a forever customer in me, ain’t letting another shop touch this mullet ?

That said, he was fantastic, got me all sorted, fantastic fade. The best part is that I didn't have to fix anything at home, nor did I have any hair on me!!

Today was my first visit to FBOMB Lashes, and although I rarely leave reviews, I felt this one was well-deserved. Flo is incredibly detailed and did an amazing job on my lashes. I have a lot of experience in the lash world and have worked with many lash artists—Flo truly knows her craft.
She was meticulous, attentive, and clearly cares about the long-term health of your natural lashes. Her salon is professional, clean, warm, and inviting. On top of her skills, Flo has a graceful presence and a great personality.

I had my hair done by Becca, while visiting Nanaimo from Calgary, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! She added both highlights and lowlights and blended them seamlessly! It turned out better than I had even pictured! She also gave me a nice trim, refreshing my ends! She really took the time to ask proper questions and listen to what I wanted! The entire appointment was so much fun, I absolutely love my hair, and even though this was a new style, I’m hooked and will most definitely be doing it again!

Wow, went in for a scalp treatment and came out feeling like a new person! 10 out of 10 for, service, treatment, ambiance and result. Erin, the certified hair practitioner explained each step of the process along the way, showing me realtime images of my scalp revealing all the imperfections. I learned a lot about hair, how it grows (or doesn't) and had a few Aha moments too. Once my scalp and hair treatments were finished (including a fabulous scalp massage, shampoo, conditioner and blow dry etc), I was shown the before and after pictures using a microscope on my scalp. What an amazing transformation. I'll definitely be recommending this much needed service to family and friends and booking again for myself to continue the care and attention my scalp needs to produce a great head of hair. A call to Twin Peaks for a second opinion, and wanting to find a trust worthy company I could build a long-term relationship with in Nanaimo, to have a look at my heatpump AFTER another W Van Is company said reason for on/off of our ac was I had numerous leaks on the coil in crawl space, and it was going to cost what would have been a almost 7gs repair!!?? 1st company had sent 2 different people 10days apart to diagnos!? my gut was telling me something fishy(scam) was going on.
Twin Peaks sent their tech Tom over, diagnosis was done on the spot in less than a couple hrs, ZERO LEAKS, NONE!!
Tom's professionalism shows and he kept me informed as he went along (unlike 1st company)
Issue was found, and traced to the interior txv and I was told a very reasonable cost for repairs before he left.
I booked the repairs with Twin Peaks and Tom returned to complete the job when the part arrived.
We are very pleased with Tom and Twin Peaks and would fully recommend them for any work that this company could do for a home owner! 5 plus ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Dustin recently did a complete repipe of my house to swap out poly B for PEX. My favourite part about having Dustin work on my house is his professionalism and attitude. Purchased a new house recently, had some extension cords running the garage door openers to the socket on the ceiling, that needed to be replaced with individual sockets, and I needed another socket added to the far wall in the garage for internet hook up. Finally, there was no light wired-in in the master bedroom. McKenzie did it all for me. He responded to my initial request for a quote in a couple hours, or less, even, and was able to come to the house, and give me the quote for the job the same day. I'm very pleased with the results of the job. Will remember K-Lou Electric for future projects!

We were renovating our master bath and bedroom and used Den Mar Electric. Wiring for seven light sconces, several new switches, updated USB-C plugs and wiring for a heated towel rack were required. Ben and Al did a fantastic job. The re-wiring through the attic and into the walls was expertly done.
We were particularly impressed with Al's attention to detail and valuable insight into where to position things and why. Al was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, always let us know when he was coming and always cleaned up afterwards. Simply put, Al was amazing.

We experienced a power failure caused by faulty equipment on Christmas eve and the electrician we called could only restore single phase giving us a few lights but no heat or stove to cook Christmas dinner. He recommended we call Houle but he wasn't optimistic that they could respond on Christmas eve. Not only did they answer, one of their electricians who lives nearby was here within the hour. He went out of his way to find a solution so we had full power (and heat) for Christmas. Thank you and Merry Christmas to all the staff at Houle.
I recommend this company to clean stair carpets. They communicated really well leading up to the appointment and did a great job on ours. They did require a water outlet on the outside so it was lucky that we had one easily available. Would have been good to check that beforehand so they could prepare. Minor point, great job, will get them in again to do more.

I called for siding repair, which I understand is a smaller job and also can be tricky. Dylan responded right away, color matched our older siding and repaired it making it all look brand new. Terry and Deveraux are just great guys. I first got to know their work when I was at VIU, where they were doing some impressive renovations - taking tired old theatres and turning them into top-tier spaces. The quality was always high-end.

I am so very happy with the two kitchen pantries that Top Choice installed. They are high quality wood pantries and I am very pleased with the price which felt very fair to me. They worked with me to match my existing cabinets perfectly. Their installers did a great job. They were a wonderful company to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

5 Starts to Maxx Contracting! We had a large rotted-out 400 sq ft deck. The beams were good, but the joists, deck boards, facing boards, some lattice all needed replacing, and we also wanted to modify the entry and stairs to allow wheelbarrow passage.
Spencer lead the project and was fantastic to work with, and even raised the bar on an already nicely designed deck. He and Mike worked efficiently and consultation throughout was encouraged.
We are so pleased with Deck 2.0 - pressure-treated wood, clean lines, routered edges, hidden fasteners. The new stair design is better than we had originally envisioned, the new 6'x3' gate is solidly hung and perfectly weighted. On time and on budget. Thank-you Maxx Contracting! We hired Smart Site to do interior work on a house. In addition Andrew discovered there wasn't enough insulation in the attic and it was causing our roofs to fail prematurely. We had put in 3 roofs in 23 years. Not a good record for a roof. Yet the previous roofers never sorted out the problem. This job did not benefit Smart Site. The job was for another roofer. Andrew cares. He was helping us out as homeowners, not just looking out for himself and what money he could make. Another company quoted us over $15,000 to do what Andrew did for $5000. He recommended a realtor for us that was excellent and coordinated with the realtor. The house sold within a month during a pandemic. It doesn't get much better than that. We highly recommend Andrew. A most trustworthy guy. A good communicator. Great guy. 5 stars are not enough for this guy. He is the best!!!!

So glad I reached out to Eucalyptus Tree Service they were flexible, available, courteous, acted professionally and safely. I needed the job done quickly and Ivan made it happen. Took the time on short notice to drive out the next day to evaluate the job and provide me a quote. Ivan was on time, friendly took the time to explain everything that needed to be done and even with the urgency of the job his quote was very reasonable .I asked if I could get the job done the next day and he said he would make it work and he would call me later that day. I am extremely impressed by the service provided by VI Tree. From setting everything up with Gabe, to the work that was performed by Bosko and Jordan, the whole experience was first rate. Gabe was wonderful to work with as he took the time to explain the whole process and at no point ever put any pressure to commit, even though he knew that I was reaching out for three more quotes. I've been seeing Dr. Glen at The Wellhouse for the past 2 years, and I can't recommend the practice enough. I initially came to them due to old injuries that finally caught up with me. I was experiencing chest pain that felt like a heart attack, along with hip problems, lower back pain, shoulder pain, and neck discomfort.
Dr. Glen took the time to thoroughly examine me and discovered that one of my vertebrae in my back was missing a piece, which was pinching a nerve and causing my chest pain. Shara is so amazing with the dogs. I have been going to Divine Canine for 6 years. My dog can get nervous in some situations, but loves going to see Shara. She is very kind, and reads the dogs very well. I wont go anywhere else!

I’m a doordash driver and as such I get kinks in my legs from driving in the seated position for too long. I’ve been a courier for years. Add to that my age, 52, and the fact that earlier in the year I overdid it by joining an Ultimate Frizbee league and severely damaged my calves…so, as a gig worker i don’t have extended benefits nor a lot of extra cash lying around…I read the positive reviews for Pin’s Thai Massage (and I live minutes away). I decided to give it a try. I was a little bit apprehensive at first. We’ve all heard about the quality of massage parlours in shady alleyways.My experience was amazing. Pin is an elderly Thai lady who is planning to retire and move back to Thailand in a couple of years. She is completely professional and not at all inappropriate. I called her number and made an appointment same day. I knocked and Pin let me in. $65/hour. She asked my to take off my clothes except for my underwear. I came wearing shorts so I just removed my t-shirt and lay down. I’ll be honest…she’s strong and really dug into my damaged calves. It was wonderful and painful. I felt safe and wonderful. I highly recommend that you call and book a massage before Pin retires and moves away.

I was having lower back pain and thought I'd try a treatment. Went once a week for 6 weeks cause I was getting relief in my back and I also had much more energy, a better mood and overall more calm. Now I am doing a maintenance treatment every 2 weeks. I would highly recommend Alfred.
Prior to treatment I had chronic pain from spinal stenosis however, after a couple weeks of taking the tea that was specifically made for me I was in far less pain and discomfort. The results of the treatment were far greater than expected. I highly recommend!!

I have had opportunities to know the magic of accupuncture and for a person with medical training, it really does seem like magic in that results can be felt within the same day of a treatment, especially with Willa.
I recently had a swollen lymph node along my jawline that receded within hours of a treatment. I have also had immediate effect on muscle related low back pain. I think that the treatment works by decreasing inflammation and restoring blood flow to the painful area. I find Willa to be empathetic, gentle and warm.
