I was out running errands with my mom a couple days ago and on a whim while walking by towards the Academy decided to walk in to see if I could get a haircut. The gentleman at the front (I didn't get his name but was super nice) found a way to work me into the schedule - and Angie very generously was able to find time to give me a haircut. She was so friendly, and I told her I was looking to get all my old highlights cut out of my hair. Not only did she do just that, but she gave me a beautiful cut that was really healthy and very suiting for my curly hair. She also gave me a treatment which brought out my natural curls. She told me she specializes in curly hair as well. She was so funny, warm and fun to talk to, and an amazing stylist. I will definitely plan to book an appointment with her again.

Cut and Shave Barbershop is hands down one of the best barbershops I’ve ever been to. The shop is always clean, welcoming, and has a great vibe every time I walk in. The barbers are skilled, professional, and pay close attention to detail, making sure every cut comes out perfect. They work with all hair types, and one of the first things I noticed was how diverse their clientele is. As a Black man, I was a little hesitant at first, but I was pleasantly surprised and felt completely comfortable.
I also love that walk-ins are welcome, which was always a challenge for me with other shops. The fades are sharp, the lineups are precise, and the quality is consistent every single time. They really listen, offer advice when needed, and make sure you leave satisfied.

In the past I've felt as though people stand there and wait for you to finish and still cut however they were gonna. Maybe it's lack of talent. Maybe it's arrogance thinking they know better. From those very short nails to now having long, healthy ones, she has been incredibly patient and professional throughout the process.

I came to Mindy to get some help on my cracked heels. Typically I go to a normal nail salon but they do not help with the heels as much as I need… it’s more of a basic “fluffy” pedicure. Mindy is more of a medical type pedicure. She is not going to spend time massaging the legs….Mindy spent all of the time on the feet/ heels and now the cracks are so much better. Mine were painful. Also she told me what to do and what not to do…. Like the cheese grater thing in the shower is bad! So I learned a lot about how to take care of my feet. She has tons of paint colors to choose from as well. Also very clean! I plan on going back to her.

Erin is the best for anyone with curly hair! I was always so nervous going to hairdressers in the past because they would chop way too much off and didn’t know how to frame my face. Erin is a pro at cutting curly hair and coming up with ideas to help accentuate your features and boost your confidence!! She is patient and she can take the reins if needed if you don’t know what to do with your hair. Highly recommend to anyone who is anxious about their hair being touched but wants a change.

My mom has a complex medical history that has damaged her hair, and Kim was amazing at creating a treatment plan to bring her hair back to life. My experience with Diane and the lash lift + tint she provided me with was top-notch; the lashes came out Beautifully. I had gotten a lash lift before, and my prior experience (which took place at a large scale chain) didn't give me even half the results Diane's work did. It's safe to say that not only are my expectations now higher for what I know my lashes can be, but that I'm also not trusting anyone else with them again! Diane is super personable and friendly, too. As a customer with no stake in how a business is run or turns out, I don't think I've ever left a review that rants and raves about a business like this one before, but it's warranted in this case. My favorite place to get my lashes lifted! Have not had my hair done here so cannot speak for that, but Nagisa is super sweet and keeps my lashes looking great without damaging them :) I also love how there are many options for how the lashes are curled/lifted. She also recently started doing eyebrow services and they are so much more detailed and precise than a typical brow wax in the US. Much recommended! Update: had my hair cut and color done here recently as well- hair turned out great and I was comfortable the entire time! I’ll be back :)

Really appreciate Nam and all that she has done for my skin. I started going in June because my skin was acting up pretty badly. I had cystic acne along my jawline and hairline and no matter what I did, it wasn’t getting any better. I even went to a dermatologist and they couldn’t make it any better - I was using tretinoin and winlevi for a very long time and I still had congestion and acne.
By August, my skin was looking much better. And now it’s October and my skin is almost perfect. The hyperpigmentation is almost gone and I have so much less congestion. On top of monthly treatments, she helps me create the perfect regimen. I really appreciate that she works with the products I currently have and educates me on the best ways to use them. Like for example, I had the Dermalogica daily microfoliant and I hated it until she taught me how to properly use it and now I consider it a holy grail, among the sunscreen, moisturizer and cleanser that she recommended. My skin hasn’t been this clear in the past 2-3 years.

My skin have completely changed! I worked with Hli, the medical esthetician virtually and she knew exactly what my skin needed. My skin was so inflamed and overproducing oils. All I had to do was explain my skin conditions to her, send some photos and she was able to tell me things I did not know about my own skin. She recommended a few products and I have loved them all. As time went on, she recommended more products that would enhance my skin even more. My favorite skincare product that I have from Skinnovations is their Rescue Repair Serum. I have backups of these because my skin will freak out without it. Overall, I highly recommend Skinnovations. They have great staff, services, and products for any needs and wants!

Styles By Vero and Bridal Pros Beauty did such an amazing job on my make up. They had me come to their studio to do a make up trial. The studio was clean and a gorgeous space. The make up artists used my reference pictures and asked me recommendations on how I wanted different parts of my hair or make up to look. The day of the wedding they all arrived to do all the hair and make up. They were kind with all of the girls and helped make each and every one of us feel beautiful. I was worried about my make up lasting most of the night but was pleasantly surprised that both of them held up even after eating, drinking, and dancing the night away. I highly recommend their service.

Cody was very good. He arrived to fix a drain problem and a toilet problem and he quoted us the cost of the drain and several estimates for the toilet problem. Cannot speak to the quality of the job because I’m not professional in this area, but the leak from a pipe under the slab in dining room was fixed, and then a new concrete was placed.
Still was not very happy with the “Plumbing report”, that I got from manager, that I need to support my claim with insurance. When dealing with difficult insurance such as in my case, I want the best documentation possible.
When I was first starting out in my plumbing business Plano plumbing supply offered me a line of credit. the people there are great friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience.
Same day service and the issue was resolved in short order. (Bathroom sinks were not draining even after p traps and drain walls had been cleaned and snaked.)

Adis was at our home on this Saturday afternoon!!!!! He had equipment which he used to check electrical outlets with TING! REVEALING!!! I'm 88 years old and have had many electricians at my restaurants and homes over the years, but NO electrician that would sit down and discuss the situation like Adis did!!! HE ONLY CHARGED ME LESS THAN $70.00!!!! He is extremely qualified and pleasant to do business with.

It is a privilege to share some good words about Cyclone Professional Cleaners. Frank (Franco Listorti) and his helper did an incredible job rehabilitating the shower in my master bath! Soap scum, crud, and deteriorating grout built up over the past five years. Frank's professional, diligent, and thorough efforts made my shower look like a palace. He is knowledge is extraordinary about safe, approved, and appropriate cleaning chemicals suitable for stone tile . He also re-grouted the shower even correcting some deficiencies when it was originally installed. He arrived on time, spent the day at work, and left with a shower that looks fantastic. I have complete trust and confidence in his recommendations. He was also outgoing and friendly and took great care in protecting my home with drop cloths to walk on. He cleaned up after his work and removed all his equipment. Frank's work was well worth the time, effort, and cost, and I would without a doubt invite him back for any future work we might have.

Henri came to our house on 7/18/24. My carpet had become so compromised and dirty. I just wanted Henri to freshen up my carpet, until I could get the carpet replaced. I have been a customer of Bit a Bliss for four years. Previous companies I’ve used have always done a great job initially, then over time I would notice more and more issues and items overlooked. I would end up canceling because I’d rather save the money and clean myself if it’s not going to be 100%. This has never happened with Bit a Bliss. Their crews are ALWAYS thorough. I can count maybe two times in four years I had to address something (we’re all human) and response was quick and said issue never happened again (it was really as small as a few dishes left out and not put in the sink). I deeply appreciate how conscientious they are every time they clean. It’s such a treat to come home to a beautifully pristine home. They do the “extras” every time that other companies stopped doing after a while (straightening shoes, vacuuming couches, folding towels beautifully). Anyway, if you’re looking for a consistent, QUALITY service look no further. They’re awesome.

In 2022, worked with Wendy and her team to convert our traditional kitchen cabinets to drawers and paint the kitchen cabinets. Was very pleased with every stage of the process and the final result. No doubt there were some hiccups along the way with scheduling and what not, but nothing out of the ordinary for this project. Was very pleased with Wendy’s customer care and commitment to meet customer expectations. Reasonable pricing too. In 2023, worked with Wendy for some major house renovations including redoing flooring all throughout the house, painting the entire house, and renovate all bathrooms. Once again, Wendy and her team delivered on a great job.

Brandon and his crew did a fantastic job with our side yard improvements. There are not enough superlatives to adequately describe DFW Improved or Kevin M. But what mattered more than the quality of their work was the amount of care and personal connection they showed. This is an organizational pillar because everyone we worked with demonstrated this: Andrew, Gabi, Tiffany, everyone. We added a bathroom, remodeled two more, extended our living room, and built a covered patio. It was a massive effort but time and thoughtfulness went into each step with the designs going through multiple iterations. It was their innovation and attention to detail in execution that made it perfect for us. Kevin spotted things that we wouldn’t have seen and made sure that every step was executed flawlessly and to a high standard. We could not more highly recommend them not only as contractors, but as people too.
I wanted to build another double garage on my property to accommodate future anticipated cars that I will be owning. I was surprised at the many details that had to be addressed in dealing with the city of Benbrook and our Homeowner’s Association. The toughest details and meetings were invariably well handled by Memar Interiors for the duration of our project. Even better, Memar consistently made suggestions of things I had not thought of that improved my garage such as gutters to protect the foundation, having a wide large window at the rear of the garage to bring in natural light(see photo), adding horizontal windows as well to the right side of the garage door to also bring in more light and add an artistic touch, and lastly installing a beautiful 7’ long German cabinet for excellent storage and workspace. Memar flawlessly orchestrated a variety of experts in framing the garage, laying the bricks, installing the garage door, insulating and painting the walls and attic, and even having his own father figure out how to install the intricate lock on the side door. A most professional job!

Called to request a quote for 186 linear feet of mastic last week and was pleasantly surprised that it was 50% lower than our other bid. Tracy got me on the schedule and the work was scheduled/completed within a week. The 2 person crew showed up on time and finished in about 2.5 hours. The results look fantastic.
Gleeson helped me order an Elle's Bubbles walk-in tub. They did a good helping me pick out the right tub with the right options and they helped me order it and when it arrived installed it. The pricing was transparent and upfront and they met the schedule. Once installed they gave me a tutorial on its operation. I had met with two other walk-in tub providers and neither were easy to deal with. Gleeson was a breath of fresh air.

I've been working with Matt and the Terra Turf Landscape team for many years. My initial project was having a French drain system installed to control flooding in my backyard and add shrubbery and color to my front flower beds. That project in 2021 resolved the ponding and rain water runoff that was flooding my yard. Fast forward to 2025 and I again needed Matts assistance with drainage due to a new patio that created additional drainage problems. The Terra Turf team added on additional surface drains to the existing French drain system and also put down about 700 sqft for beautiful Palisades Zoysia sod. The landscaping crew is just the best group I've had work on my yard in the 21 years I've lived in the house. They are respectful of my property, show up on time, and get the job done right the first time. Matt really knows his stuff and ensures the projects are completed to the customers satisfaction. If you have landscaping needs from weekly yard care, irrigation, drainage solutions, sod installation, or advanced landscape design, I wouldn't hesitate to call Matt and the Terra Turf team. Dr. Zohar and her staff are incredible. Beginning with scheduling, which they were so accommodating and made it easy. At check in everyone was friendly and prompt. All medical staff were personable, knowledgeable, and helpful with everything. Dr. Zohar is the best dentist I’ve been to in DFW. She has great bedside manner, is quick to diagnose, quick to treat, and will educate throughout. I’ve had a crown that’s fallen off multiple times now, and she immediately had a solution! I’m going to recommend all of my family and friends to come here!

Dr took me to review the X-rays they took. Saw the bone spur on my c5. Adjusted my neck and back and here I am 3 hours later feeling 80% better than I have felt in the last two weeks fantastic!!!!

I’ve been taking my beloved pets to Dr. Whetstone since we moved here. I can’t imagine taking them to anyone else. She enjoys my dogs no matter their nervousness or acceptance of her. She has a gentle hand and smooth touch. When the end of life has come, she has been beyond gentle, patient, and understanding. She had embraced my rescues and held back tears when necessary. She listens and gives options but is always honest when you need it as a pet owner. When I had to say goodbye to my Pawley, she brought him Christmas cookies.
I took our CRT foster, Millie for a visit and the staff was so accommodating due to the fact that I was late for our appointment. Although she was terrified to be handled, the doctor and staff handled her with such care and recognition of her stress. Great job to the doctors and staff at Parker Animal and Bird Clinic.

Our dog Coco was on eye drops for about a year when he needed a double nucleation surgery. All the staff were super friendly and Dr. Solar did an amazing job reassuring us that Coco would do fine in surgery. Only a week and a half later, Coco is thriving and feels so much better! I really really enjoyed the intro session. It was a fantastic workout that gets you shaking by the end of it which I enjoy. I did get confused thinking it would be a bit easier than a normal session since it’s called a “intro session” but it was okay still. I do wish they had given us more guidance considering they knew it was our first class with them or more encouragement throughout. Felt a little lost sometimes considering everyone else knew the moves but I had to learn them quickly as we were doing them. I also wish they had more varied styles for each move for people who might be struggling with the moves. Overall, it was a great workout and I will be coming back as I enjoyed the walkthrough and energy of the place just a few things I thought I’d mention as a first timer.
Just had a massage here. Honest review! I gave birth 4 months ago. I’ve been having back pain. Especially where they injected the epidural. Joanna is your girl! She gave me a deep tissue massage for 90mins. She made sure I was comfortable and asked if the pressure was okay. She gave me the best massage! my body feels amazing and I don’t feel the pain from the epidural! lol if your like me… you need Joanna!

If I could give 10 stars I would! Tom really is the best massage therapist I have ever had. I have been going to him for about 2 years, my husband found him for me as I needed to do something for myself and learn to relax. I have tried to go to him monthly. Well fast forward! I had a massage today that was life changing. I travel for work and my stress got the best for me. I was in pain in my shoulder blades all the way up my neck. Tom used, Hot Stones, Sports Gun, Lavender oil and lots of other tricks along with massage, pressure points on my lymph nodes, knots and muscles and managed to take the pain away! It was life changing! Tom is knowledgeable and knows exactly what to do to help cure you. I feel safe and his practice is always clean, he listens to you and remembers how you like to have a massage. I can't not stress enough how awesome and talented Tom is! Go get a massage now!
Everything about HCT can be bragged on to the store ambience, material selection, classes hosted, etc. But today I need to brag on Julie’s massage oil. It is the best medium I’ve ever used, this coming from a diehard lotion only user who swore I’d never use oil. The oil is silky, soft, doesn’t dry my hands, not tacky, and a little can go a REALLY long way. Not to mention it’s so much safer and better quality than commercial grade oils/lotions. If you’re just starting out in the massage industry or looking to switch up what you’re currently using, try the oil from here. Seriously.
Bruce is very skilled and a great educator on body mechanics and movement . He is one of a kind in terms of skill, education and kindness.
Daniel has helped me recover from shoulder surgery, stretching the muscles and working out the knots. He also showed me exercises to continue the healing. Recently he helped to work out a contracted muscle in my back that is now on the mend. He is knowledgeable and skilled in the human body and the connections between muscles, tendons and bones. I highly recommend Daniel for pain management!

I called Dr. McVay's office to see if he had availability after getting the run around from other PT offices and being quoted a 6-12 month wait for my son to even get assessed. Dr. McVay was incredibly kind and concerned but said he didn't specialize in pediatric PT. However, he told me he would reach out to his network and call around to help me find someone else. I was so jaded from my previous experiences that I doubted he would actually call me back, but he did! About 15 minutes later, Dr. McVay called back to give me a number of another office that specialized in pediatric PT and actually had availability. I told Dr. McVay that I wished I could bring my son in to meet with him because he was so awesome, but I truly appreciate him helping me when he had absolutely nothing to gain from it. Dave Zeigler is the most knowledgeable physical therapist I’ve ever seen. He has helped me and 2 of my friends through various injuries and surgeries. He enabled me to be completely relieved of severe hip pains I’d had for 7 years. Dave is not a cookie-cutter physical therapist. If you have despaired of ever easing your pain I guarantee that Dave Zeigler will not give up on you until you are improved.
