I had the most amazing experience at this salon, everyone was so sweet and helpful. Taylor Miller was my stylist and she is by far the best hairdresser I have EVER been to. She took my Pinterest hair inspiration, and copy and pasted it onto my head. I have curly hair, which can be tricky to style, however the blend of lowlights and highlights that Taylor gave me turned out so so beautiful. Beyond grateful for this place and I WILL BE back.

I had a haircut with Denise earlier today, and she was great! It was my first time at this shop, and Denise was very personable and listened to everything I asked for. This haircut is for my wedding on Sunday, and my bride-to-be and I are beyond pleased with it. For the price of a haircut, you get so much included. I paid $50 with a tip, and I had my hair shampooed and washed after the cut itself. I felt the service was unparalleled, and I also enjoyed the music that they played. All this to say, I can't recommend this shop more if you're in town and need a haircut.
I went in to get a haircut, told him about the cowlicks i always struggle with and gave a basic idea on what i wanted on the sides he freestyled the top part. He was very accommodating making sure i knew what i wanted before hand. The cut came out like no other, most barbers need to focus. I could have a conversation and still get the best cut in half the time as other places!
Ralph is the ?. He gives the best fades and fade-adjacent type haircuts in the county, and anybody will tell you this. (Maybe he does other stuff IDK.) Occasionally, I'll be traveling or need a haircut quickly and go see someone else ... I usually end up regretting it. I hesitate to leave this review because it will make Ralph STRONGER than he already is. And then, it'll be even tougher to get an appointment. Well damn. I messed up. I need a haircut.

Ahhhh, I was so overdue for a pedicure. I mean like A good 6 months at least! Walked in with no appointment, no problem. My tech was very nice, great leg & foot massage. I went to visit my sister in South Carolina. The one who does massages on a regular had never got a hair spa. She notice one around her area so we made an appt and came on Memorial Day. This place relocated a month ago so I didn’t seem much reviews. Once you get into the 2nd floor location, it’s a different world. Dim lit, ocean light effects, beautiful, clean and the staff was wonderful. She got a hair spa and I got a body massage. Delicious!!! Perfect touch, nice relaxing motion, hit the perfect tension areas. Wish I had this back in NY. A definite must try!

I was going on a cruise and I needed to get a wax. I nearly forgot. My regular waxer lady was all booked up. I looked up Charleston Wax Girl. I went to a Yelp event here once and got $50 off a wax. Brittany did a great job then so I figured I'd give her another shot. I got there and was pleasantly surprised when I quickly found out that she remembered who I am. She asked me how I was doing, and when I answered, she made a comment that was related to what we talked about last time. She definitely remembered me. I mentioned that and she said she remembers everybody! She's been waxing for years too. She is new to Charleston, but she waxed in New Jersey for a while before moving here. Come check out her space. The outside has a cool mural that looks like a monopoly board but made with Charleston related things like the Arthur Ravenel Bridge and the Pineapple Fountain. You go thru a door on the ground level that leads to a set of stairs. The suite is on the second floor. It's a cute little room she rents out in the building. I like the way she waxes me. She is a pro! Both times she waxed me so far, I haven't gotten any ingrowns. I get them a lot, so that's a great achievement. I would definitely recommend hiring Brittany to do your next wax. You can book online. It's very easy and you even get reminder texts. Help this nice woman from New Jersey build up her business in Charleston. Come see her for your next wax.

Anna originally from Europe and spent many years working there as a doctor in esthetics and dermatology before opening this spa a couple of years ago in Charleston. That background is very apparent from the start. She takes the time to listen, understand your concerns, and tailor the treatment specifically to your skin rather than following a standard routine.
My session included a Hydrafacial, a 30 minute face and neck massage (which you absolutely need to get, I would go back for the massage alone), and several additional customized steps based on what my skin needed. I went in looking for something non-invasive, effective, and reasonably priced, and this checked all of those boxes.
It’s not easy to find someone who combines medical training, experience, attention to detail, and genuine care for results, especially at this price point. I already booked my next visit in six weeks.

This is the second location of the Woodhouse Day Spa in Charleston that we have visited. It does some things better, and other things not as well.
Let's start with what works...
The location is beautiful. One look at Wentworth Mansion and you are swept up by its beauty and majesty. We highly recommend going in the front door to get a glimpse of the hotel before proceeding to the carriage house where the spa is located.
The spa is quite small - 3 massage rooms and a small but comfortable relaxation room. Because it's so small, they don't encourage you to stay too long, and the drinks and snacks do speak to that. But, it's very pretty and quiet.
The deep tissue massage was very good and the masseuse did pay special attention to problem areas we discussed beforehand. It was a good amount of pressure and the atmosphere and music were soothing.
This location had a few more nice touches like nice lotion and mouthwash in the bathroom.
What didn't work was the limited relaxation space, the snacks (little packages of granola bites and nothing more) and the once again awful excuse for a mimosa. Tea selection is still good.
Honestly, the locations in Charleston need to get it together. For the amount of money they are charging, they need to do better on these things. For example, at the Maryland location we went to, the mimosas were fresh squeezed orange juice and prosecco, the snacks included savory, sweet and a basket of fruit. There was flavored water and iced tea. They even had a small menu where you could stay and order a snack or sandwich. And the relaxation room was large and they encouraged you to stay.
One of the very best parts though was indulging in exploring the hotel a bit after. The Wentworth Mansion itself really knows how to provide a luxury experience, and it's just beautiful. That part alone made it worth the extra $25 per service at the spa in this location.

Had a great experience with Brittany and Brianna for my wedding day! I did a HMU trial, and they were flexible when I decided to do a different style for the actual day. Brittany also did a spray tan for me at their office - I am very fair and get nervous about spray tans, but it looked amazing and is definitely the best spray tan I have ever had! My 18-year-old daughter was dead-set on getting a tattoo. So I was like, Ok, I will go with you and get one too. I got a tattoo at 18 too, 30 years ago, only I went by myself and am lucky to be alive (in many ways ha ha).
So instead of dissuading my daughter I decided I would manage the process, so I did tons of research and found Holy City Tattooing Collective. I researched all the artists, and both my daughter and I really loved Jason Eisenberg’s work.
My daughter wanted a bird design, and I wanted an SC flag tattoo- but the artist’s variation on that theme. I’m not from SC. Mr. Eisenberg is an SC native, and he’s obviously super talented, and I loved his artwork, so I wanted him to design his own variation and run with it.
My only tattoo before this was this very ill-fated attempted triskalion 30 years ago that quickly turned into a blob, and I would like to get covered up. After that experience, I never got another tattoo- until now.
I was super nervous! Jason and other staff were friendly and put me at my ease. He chatted and played a bunch of old school rap- some stuff I haven’t heard for like 30 years- and I ended up actually having a blast at the tattoo session!
My daughter was the same. This was her first tattoo. I was really nervous. He played her favorite music, he was very reassuring, and she had such a positive experience. I was so happy!

They were upfront about the service they could provide, he threw in an extra treatment for free (typically ~90$) because he had the equipment with him in the truck and thought it would help, and did a detailed walkthrough afterwards explaining what he did and why certain things wouldn’t come out. I didn’t even notice the small spots he mentioned but I appreciate the honesty. He also suggested other services when I asked him about non-carpet cleaning questions and he seemed very experienced and knowledgeable. Super friendly and flexible, I will 100% use them again in the future, it’s such an easy choice.

Everyone was friendly, and the carpet cleaning quality was excellent. Scheduling the appointment was simple, and I received clear instructions on how to get ready before the carpet cleaning team arrived. I also got an email, a phone call ahead of time, and a text from Nicholas and Gary when they were on the way to my home in Charleston. When they arrived, they explained the cleaning products and equipment they would use, how the carpet cleaning process would work, and they kept me informed whenever they noticed an area that needed extra attention. They carefully placed protective paper under each furniture leg to help protect the wood, and it came out easily once the carpet started drying. The carpets looked refreshed, clean, and much better after the service. They were still slightly damp the next day, which is normal after a deep carpet cleaning, but they were drying well and already felt much cleaner. I’m extremely happy with the professional carpet cleaning service. Our carpets are older and had several tough stains, and with dogs in the house they had really started to look worn and dingy. After this deep cleaning, the carpet looks fresher, brighter, and better than it has in a long time. I normally try to clean the carpets myself, but this time I decided to have them professionally cleaned, and I’m so glad I did. The difference between DIY cleaning and a true deep carpet cleaning was easy to see. The technician, Jonah, explained each step clearly, answered my questions, and also let me know about other services like upholstery cleaning and additional treatment options, which was very helpful. Jonah was patient and accommodating while working around my dog, and the whole appointment went smoothly. He was honest about drying time and explained that some spots may continue to lift after the cleaning because different types of stains respond in different ways. Even so, many problem areas improved more than I expected, especially considering the age and condition of the carpet. Overall, I’m very pleased with the results, the customer service, and the care taken during the appointment. The carpets feel cleaner, smell fresher, and look much better. As a local, small, woman-owned tour business, I always seek out fellow businesses that check the same box. Little Palm cleaned my 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. They did the blinds, the window sills, the hardwood floors, the counters, the mirrors, many table surfaces, the toilets, the sinks, the ceiling lights and fans, and a bit of dusting in 3.5 hours. They were communicative and used mostly the chemicals I set out for them as we have a home with sensitive health needs, allergies, and pets. Palmetto Wood Floors refinished my wood floors last week. I am thrilled with the results! My floors look brand new. The old floors were orange with age and badly crowned in some rooms. Now they are all perfectly flat and have a satin water based urethane finish. I did not stain them so my red oak floors look light and fresh. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting to refinish wood floors. It is a lot of prep work but worth it!

Our family thought that we had snake eggs in the back yard! Of course, we were curious as to where the mother was if the eggs are present. Since we have a toddler running around that love to play outdoors, we had to keep her inside and with minimal outdoor activities for us as well. I called and spoke with Matt at Biotech Pest Management and he said that he would come over to check it to determine if it was actually snake eggs. Well, Matt came over and found out that it was mushrooms! Haha! Thank God it wasn't snake eggs!

I am a new patient and can say that they really do a thorough job. They were more detailed on my initial visit than any other dentist I have ever had. I also needed to have a crown done and they did a great job. While the first crown mold didn’t fit they were great with getting the new one made quickly and they got me in immediately when it arrived. From the front desk associate to the hygienist to the dentist they all were personable and easy to talk to.

I went in with mostly cosmetic concerns with a front tooth cavity.
After numbing, I almost told her nevermind- because I was just so scared that it may be discolored or just look like a filled cavity in my front tooth… I would’ve targeted the small cavity than a discolored tooth forever.
When I told her my fear I loved that she said “Girl. I have the same goal as you! I will treat your smile like my own.”
And when I tell you the filling couldnt have matched better, it was 100% the same color. I never realized how self SUBconcious I had been about it, and now I feel like it was the best money ever spent. I can’t stop thinking about the improvement and it’s been two days now.
Even Dr K was saying “your gonna be so happy with this” while she was doing it and she was that confident for good reason.
The girls at the front desk ran quotes for everything that I asked for and everything that they did, before they did it, so noooo surprise at the checkout counter.

Their newest addition, Dr. Grace, is unlike any chiropractor I've ever experienced. The way she works is next-level. Deeply intuitive, intentional, and powerful. She FEELS what’s going on in your body. Nothing is rushed (as it shouldn’t be… we’re talking about our spines here), and you can tell she genuinely believes in quality care over quick adjustments.
She listens and actually hears you. And I really love how present she is, like you can feel it. Do you know what I mean?! She gives her all to her patients. Obsessed with her.

I would definitely use them again. The doctor at the West Ashely office is very thorough. He goes over pain and problems before he just slaps you on a table and starts doing stuff. He addresses your pain level and provides treatment that is efficient and helpful. They understand that all patients are different and their pains and treatment must be tailored to their needs.
Dr Bassett is the best thing that has ever happened to my back. He’s cured plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, golf elbow, shoulder tendinitis and a tricky small of my back that’s bothered me since high school. He’s AMAZING!

We just moved to Charleston and noticed our dog was acting differently. We were able to easily schedule a next-day appointment online. We saw Dr. Walter, who was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of our questions, and made us feel at ease. We also really appreciated the follow-up a few days later with results—very kind and thoughtful. Overall, a great experience, especially as new residents trying to find care we can trust!

We full time travel and had a problem with one of our dogs, Chloe. She had a hematoma develop in her ear. I called around to different vet offices in Charleston and this vet office is the only one that would fit us in and help poor Chloe. The care they provided was fantastic, and was less expensive than we expected..that doesn’t happen often. The vet explained everything beforehand, informed us every step of the way, and treated our very fearful rescue dog, very well. The next day, they called us to see how she was doing. Honestly, we were both impressed and would absolutely recommend this clinic for your pet. They care, and it shows. These Canadian travellers are very grateful, thank you ?

They helped me so much with my leopard gecko and took the time to truly educate me and help my little guy! Dr. McCarron gave me an incredible amount of helpful advice and information, and I left feeling so much more confident about my gecko’s care. The Veterinarian (Dr. Dimondstein) we see is wonderful - friendly, caring and willing to answer questions. The entire staff are warm, congenial and great with our dog. Our old dog used to be afraid to go into vet clinics - but both of our dogs like DI Animal Hospital. Our youngest won't let us walk by without stopping.

Dr DeRespino is incredible! We have brought elderly dogs to her for urgent help in years past and our young accident prone dogs to her in recent months. She also helped me with a very sick stray cat that found her way to us this spring. Dr DeRespino is so good at explaining things in a compassionate, clear way that always puts us at ease and helps us to make decisions during very stressful and unplanned visits. (Plus -she is FUNNY- and a little levity can sure go a long way in moments like those..! ) Our dogs AND our cats all love her and the Paw Med team. So thankful to have found them!!
I always have a positive experience here with my girls ( two kitties, 20 and 18 yrs old and a 12 yr old doggo). The doctors are very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. The staff is very sweet and caring. I have the utmost respect and appreciation for everyone at Air Harbor. Another big reason I appreciate them, my girls are never afraid or resistant in seeing them and that speaks volumes to me as it shows they are well-cared for while visiting.
My standard poodle, Stella, has been getting groomed at Zen Dog Spa for 8 years. Rachel is hands-down the best standard poodle groomer in Charleston! If you want your standard to have the classic poodle cut and, well, look like a poodle — isn’t this why you have one — then Zen Dog Spa is where it’s at!

I have a doodle, who easily mats and tangles, and he leaves every time looking immaculate. Bonus is his amazing mohawk they have given him and died blonde. (He’s black.) Compliments everywhere we go! My rescue dog can be difficult around strangers, especially in noisy environments. The staff stayed calm and gave him time to adjust instead of forcing him into the grooming area immediately. By pickup he looked relaxed, clean, and far more comfortable than after previous salon visits elsewhere.
The Island Pawplex did and continues to do an amazing job with our dog. They communicate and make the process very easy. Would recommend them to anyone looking for daycare or boarding.

Not only is Kat a wonderful person, but her pilates instruction is top notch. I was a beginner with an injury and she worked with me to personalize each motion around my bad back. The springboard classes really engage the body in a way that mat work alone cannot. I cannot recommend Kat enough!

The whole experience of having a massage from Jayya was exceptional. She really takes the time to listen to you, has a beautiful space and is extremely skilled at her craft. I had an amazing experience from start to finish with Downtown Charleston Massage! Dana was extremely responsive and helpful while booking, and she was so accommodating during the massage itself. I received a prenatal massage and it was extremely therapeutic, relaxing, and felt amazing. She is very talented in what she does, and you can tell she is experienced- especially with me being pregnant. I left feeling rejuvenated and restored. I will definitely use her again next time I’m in Charleston.

My wife and I have now been here three or four times. I've never had a bad massage. The first three times were probably in the 4-4.5 range if I had to put a number to them. But this last time was one of the best massages I've ever had in my life. Amy (Aimee?) was amazing. Actually focused on the areas that were causing me problems, and worked them until I left feeling better than I've felt in a couple of years. Simply amazing work by her. A couple of minor things - they turned away three people (one couple and one gentlemen) while we were checking in, because they didn't have appointments. So even though it says walk ins welcome, I'd caution to make an appointment. Amy did say they were about to expand next door so they'd be able to take more people in the near future, so I'm sure that'll help out. Lastly my massage started about 10-15 minutes late because they must have been backed up. Amy gave me a full hour massage, and I didn't get cheated out of any time (if anything she may have went a few minutes over), I just mention this as a warning your 2 o'clock appointment may turn into a 2:15 appointment instead. If you get Amy (likewise my wife said her masseuse was also amazing) you'll leave feeling great and definitely won't mind a few minute delay.

What stood out most wasn’t just her technical skill, although that alone is exceptional… it was the entire experience and the level of intuition she brings into her work. There’s an incredibly calming and grounded presence about her and the session never felt rushed or impersonal!
Without me having to overexplain every injury or tight area, she seemed to naturally understand where I was holding tension. I felt a level of pain relief I haven’t experienced in a VERY long time, but even more than that, I felt mentally quiet and reset in a way that’s hard to put into words.
Her space itself mirrors the experience. Quiet, calming, and tucked into one of the most charming areas of Charleston.
I can absolutely understand why Abigail was voted Charleston’s Best Massage Therapist in both 2024 and 2025. Dr. He is a healer. I’ve done acupuncture before but haven’t experienced anything like the care and empathy Dr. He and staff provide. What western medicine could not determine and improve, Dr. He is. When I’ve been in chronic, debilitating pain, Dr. He has eased my discomfort and we’re almost to the point where I’m pain free. Dr. He provides practical solutions backed by science, intuition, touch, and a love of seeing people healthy and thriving. I see Dr. He for pain and overall wellness and I’m pleased at my improvements with digestion, stress and anxiety, and gut health. I wish everyone could experience her presence and gift.
Does acupuncture really work? YES!! I had back pains so severe, I had to go to an emergency walk-in clinic. Their 14 day prescription was denied by the government, and I only got 7 days' worth. It helped but couldn’t be renewed. Went to a neurosurgeon who couldn’t help but said some patients got relief from acupuncture. I found your clinic and now I am able to stand and walk without pain after several months of treatment. Now, my once-a-month treatment has given me a much better life.
I have been here ever since move from New York. Dr.Chen is a real doctor on acupuncture. Fix my lower back pain in a really good price.
