Called them for a small emergency after our water heater started leaking onto the garage floor late in the evening. They responded faster than expected and managed to stop the leak before it spread further. The plumber explained the issue clearly and didn’t pressure us into replacing anything unnecessarily right away.
Today Saturday January 17, 2026 was acupuncture happy hour. It was a great way to relieve some stress and included a sound bath. As a plus there was stretching by FROM (Full range of Motion). I Can't wait for the next event.

Cori was an incredible trainer for Bear. He learned so many things! No more jumping up on people, no pulling when walking and not distracted by other dogs when walking. I say sit he does, stays until the dogs or people walk by and I say with me and he gets up and we walk. I can put him in down and he stays. I can walk out of the room, but he will not get up until I come back. Amazing!

Ralph is the ?. He gives the best fades and fade-adjacent type haircuts in the county, and anybody will tell you this. (Maybe he does other stuff IDK.) Occasionally, I'll be traveling or need a haircut quickly and go see someone else ... I usually end up regretting it. I hesitate to leave this review because it will make Ralph STRONGER than he already is. And then, it'll be even tougher to get an appointment. Well damn. I messed up. I need a haircut.

I was going on a cruise and I needed to get a wax. I nearly forgot. My regular waxer lady was all booked up. I looked up Charleston Wax Girl. I went to a Yelp event here once and got $50 off a wax. Brittany did a great job then so I figured I'd give her another shot. I got there and was pleasantly surprised when I quickly found out that she remembered who I am. She asked me how I was doing, and when I answered, she made a comment that was related to what we talked about last time. She definitely remembered me. I mentioned that and she said she remembers everybody! She's been waxing for years too. She is new to Charleston, but she waxed in New Jersey for a while before moving here. Come check out her space. The outside has a cool mural that looks like a monopoly board but made with Charleston related things like the Arthur Ravenel Bridge and the Pineapple Fountain. You go thru a door on the ground level that leads to a set of stairs. The suite is on the second floor. It's a cute little room she rents out in the building. I like the way she waxes me. She is a pro! Both times she waxed me so far, I haven't gotten any ingrowns. I get them a lot, so that's a great achievement. I would definitely recommend hiring Brittany to do your next wax. You can book online. It's very easy and you even get reminder texts. Help this nice woman from New Jersey build up her business in Charleston. Come see her for your next wax.

This is the second location of the Woodhouse Day Spa in Charleston that we have visited. It does some things better, and other things not as well.
Let's start with what works...
The location is beautiful. One look at Wentworth Mansion and you are swept up by its beauty and majesty. We highly recommend going in the front door to get a glimpse of the hotel before proceeding to the carriage house where the spa is located.
The spa is quite small - 3 massage rooms and a small but comfortable relaxation room. Because it's so small, they don't encourage you to stay too long, and the drinks and snacks do speak to that. But, it's very pretty and quiet.
The deep tissue massage was very good and the masseuse did pay special attention to problem areas we discussed beforehand. It was a good amount of pressure and the atmosphere and music were soothing.
This location had a few more nice touches like nice lotion and mouthwash in the bathroom.
What didn't work was the limited relaxation space, the snacks (little packages of granola bites and nothing more) and the once again awful excuse for a mimosa. Tea selection is still good.
Honestly, the locations in Charleston need to get it together. For the amount of money they are charging, they need to do better on these things. For example, at the Maryland location we went to, the mimosas were fresh squeezed orange juice and prosecco, the snacks included savory, sweet and a basket of fruit. There was flavored water and iced tea. They even had a small menu where you could stay and order a snack or sandwich. And the relaxation room was large and they encouraged you to stay.
One of the very best parts though was indulging in exploring the hotel a bit after. The Wentworth Mansion itself really knows how to provide a luxury experience, and it's just beautiful. That part alone made it worth the extra $25 per service at the spa in this location.
Highly recommend Anna!! I was paying a fortune for lash extensions at a national chain. Little did I know, extensions aren’t always good for your lashes and you need to take care of your lashes. Anna suggested using growth serum for a few weeks and then a lash lift. Exactly what I was looking for. I have blonde lashes and hate wearing mascara. I just wanted my lashes seen. She has before and after photos. The difference is AMAZING! Also a lot more affordable

I was a newby to the waxing experience and she made me so comfortable, talking me through the process and using her many years of expertise to make the experience an easy one (without too much waxing pain!). Had a great experience with Brittany and Brianna for my wedding day! I did a HMU trial, and they were flexible when I decided to do a different style for the actual day. Brittany also did a spray tan for me at their office - I am very fair and get nervous about spray tans, but it looked amazing and is definitely the best spray tan I have ever had! They brought great energy on the wedding day as well - would highly recommend.

We’re a same sex couple so Dominique had the “high stakes” job of doing hair and makeup for two brides instead of just one. She did a great job, and delivered upon what both of us were looking for. We had our trials a few months before the wedding, and we both had some changes we wanted to make on the day-of. Dominique took these in stride and worked with us to make sure she understood exactly what we wanted and that we were happy with our final looks. We also had one additional hair stylist and one additional makeup artist join to handle hair and makeup for the moms and sisters. Everyone was professional, warm, organized, and helped make our wedding morning very smooth and stress-free.

My 18-year-old daughter was dead-set on getting a tattoo. So I was like, Ok, I will go with you and get one too. I got a tattoo at 18 too, 30 years ago, only I went by myself and am lucky to be alive (in many ways ha ha).
So instead of dissuading my daughter I decided I would manage the process, so I did tons of research and found Holy City Tattooing Collective. I researched all the artists, and both my daughter and I really loved Jason Eisenberg’s work.
My daughter wanted a bird design, and I wanted an SC flag tattoo- but the artist’s variation on that theme. I’m not from SC. Mr. Eisenberg is an SC native, and he’s obviously super talented, and I loved his artwork, so I wanted him to design his own variation and run with it.
My only tattoo before this was this very ill-fated attempted triskalion 30 years ago that quickly turned into a blob, and I would like to get covered up. After that experience, I never got another tattoo- until now.
I was super nervous! Jason and other staff were friendly and put me at my ease. He chatted and played a bunch of old school rap- some stuff I haven’t heard for like 30 years- and I ended up actually having a blast at the tattoo session!
My daughter was the same. This was her first tattoo. I was really nervous. He played her favorite music, he was very reassuring, and she had such a positive experience. I was so happy!
We LOVE our tattoos! The design and the placement are perfect. The design he did of the SC flag I just love more and more every time I look at it. Such a positive experience, and we’re so happy with our tattoos.

Called them for a small emergency after our water heater started leaking onto the garage floor late in the evening. They responded faster than expected and managed to stop the leak before it spread further. The plumber explained the issue clearly and didn’t pressure us into replacing anything unnecessarily right away.

Very professional. They show up on time, do excellent work, and fix it the first time every time. All the plumbers are professional, courteous, and polite. Atta-Boy Plumbing is also locally owned and very responsive to requests for service calls. They flushed my hot water heater, repaired a leaky toilet, repaired a shower drain, and replaced a leaking faucet for me. They are my first call for all plumbing needs.

Craig is the best. My heat pump likes to break during 3 day holiday weekends when the temps are at record levels. Somehow Craig manages to get there and get things back up and running in no time. My entire family calls these folks for service. Very happy.

Blitch Plumbing came to my rescue once again! We've used them a few times now, and every single experience has been consistently wonderful. They're always quick to respond and super professional. I called yesterday afternoon about a leak, expecting to wait at least a day or two, but they scheduled me right away for today. They called prior to arriving, then their plumber even apologized for arriving two hours early—talk about great service! He fixed the issue quickly, cleaned everything up, and was respectful of my home. The price was fair, but honestly, the level of care and attention was above and beyond. Highly recommend!

Our air conditioning went out around 530 pm. Thermostats were offline. Called the company we have a service contract with and waited two hours for a call back with no response. Called Charleston Electric and within 5 minutes I had the name of a technician and an estimated time of arrival. Stew arrived and fixed the problem. We already have a service contract for our generator and are now switching our hvac service contract to Charleston Electric. Always excellent service. I didn’t even notice the small spots he mentioned but I appreciate the honesty. He also suggested other services when I asked him about non-carpet cleaning questions and he seemed very experienced and knowledgeable. After looking over the carpets, he explained that the building would likely need to replace them, so cleaning wouldn’t be the best value for us right now. He didn’t even charge for the visit! Absolutely our best carpet cleaning experience ever. Rusty and his assistant Akela cleaned the traffic areas of wall-to-wall carpeting in the two bedrooms of our condo (we didn't want to move the furniture out) and the carpeting looks as good as it did when installed seven years ago. It was totally dry in a couple of hours, so we had minimal inconvenience. Best of all, their cleaning product leaves no soapy residue that captures dirt back into the carpet. They also did a fine job removing some pet stains in the common hallway carpeting outside our apartment. We'll definitely use this service whenever needed in the future.

Palmetto Wood Floors refinished my wood floors last week. I am thrilled with the results! My floors look brand new. The old floors were orange with age and badly crowned in some rooms. Now they are all perfectly flat and have a satin water based urethane finish. I did not stain them so my red oak floors look light and fresh. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting to refinish wood floors. It is a lot of prep work but worth it!
TC and the rest of the crew who refinished my kitchen floor were absolutely fabulous. Tidy and efficient...and my floor is now beautiful. I live in a historic home and they did a great job of matching the color with the other floors abutting it. They did such a nice job, I am now looking forward to re-finishing other floors in the house. I have no complaints at all and highly recommend them if you need your floors re-finished.

We had such a good experience using Charleston Premier Workz! From the beginning they gave us great customer service from the office to JR, to the guys that showed up EVERY DAY. There was not a day where things were delayed or sat waiting for someone to come work. They were on time, always very careful, and did incredible work. We are so happy with the outcome of our kitchen and glad they were recommended to us in our neighborhood Facebook group.
Arbor Building Group did a wonderful job repairing the extensive wood rot of my grandmother’s house. Steve was great to work with. He was very professional and personable and gave me photo updates on the job as I was out of town we. He and his crew identified all areas that needed repair, scraped down the old paint and power washed then painted the entire house and awnings. His prices were very reasonable. He paid attention to detail and made sure the job was done correctly. Our family thought that we had snake eggs in the back yard! Of course, we were curious as to where the mother was if the eggs are present. I’ve been a patient of Dr Walker for several years and have had extensive treatment. Dr. Walker is exceptional. He is patient, kind, a problem solver, knowledgeable, and fair. He takes time to ensure that you are comfortable, know your options, doesn’t oversell, and are happy. Even when an emergency appointment comes in and he might be running behind (it happens. And it’s usually because of me!), I’ve never felt he rushed to get the job done. Rather, he listened and assessed and addressed the situation. It’s obvious he cares. Dr. Paul and his staff have become like family. We switched to them from a general family dentist that did not have the additional education and experience specializing in pediatric dentistry and we couldn’t be more grateful. They have stayed after hours to help us in an emergency and even after having a few procedures they are not afraid or nervous to go to the dentist at all but they know Dr. Paul will take good care of them. They also have the friendliest financial and front end staff and we are always welcomed with the biggest smiles. I could not give a pediatric dentist a more glowing review.

I went in with mostly cosmetic concerns with a front tooth cavity.
After numbing, I almost told her nevermind- because I was just so scared that it may be discolored or just look like a filled cavity in my front tooth… I would’ve targeted the small cavity than a discolored tooth forever.
When I told her my fear I loved that she said “Girl. I have the same goal as you! I will treat your smile like my own.”
And when I tell you the filling couldnt have matched better, it was 100% the same color. I never realized how self SUBconcious I had been about it, and now I feel like it was the best money ever spent. I can’t stop thinking about the improvement and it’s been two days now.
Even Dr K was saying “your gonna be so happy with this” while she was doing it and she was that confident for good reason.
The girls at the front desk ran quotes for everything that I asked for and everything that they did, before they did it, so noooo surprise at the checkout counter.

Justin is a talented and intuitive chiropractor and I always feel better after an appointment. I first happened upon his practice when I was having a hip issue and nearly limping around from it. After several visits my body reset and I’ve been a returning client ever since. I highly recommend Lifeworks if you are having a specific issue or for regular chiropractic maintenance. Another bonus is Tammy, the massage therapist who also works in this office; she is great!

I was grateful to be able to make an appointment first thing on a Monday morning without having to wait several days to see a Doctor. Dr. Fantino listened to me explain my aches and pains and then proceeded to make several adjustments to my neck and face to give almost immediate relief to the shooting pains in my jaw that I had been suffering. I would highly recommend Dr. Fantino and the staff at Wellness Plus.

We full time travel and had a problem with one of our dogs, Chloe. She had a hematoma develop in her ear. I called around to different vet offices in Charleston and this vet office is the only one that would fit us in and help poor Chloe. The care they provided was fantastic, and was less expensive than we expected..that doesn’t happen often. The vet explained everything beforehand, informed us every step of the way, and treated our very fearful rescue dog, very well. The next day, they called us to see how she was doing. Honestly, we were both impressed and would absolutely recommend this clinic for your pet. They care, and it shows. These Canadian travellers are very grateful, thank you ?

I’ve only had one visit so far, but I was really impressed with Clements Ferry Vet. My girl is extremely anxious at the vet, and they were so patient with her and never pushed her past her limit. I really appreciated their fear-free approach and that they encourage happy visits to help build positive associations over time. Everyone was very kind, attentive, and genuine.

They helped me so much with my leopard gecko and took the time to truly educate me and help my little guy! Dr. McCarron gave me an incredible amount of helpful advice and information, and I left feeling so much more confident about my gecko’s care. The Veterinarian (Dr. Dimondstein) we see is wonderful - friendly, caring and willing to answer questions. The entire staff are warm, congenial and great with our dog. Our old dog used to be afraid to go into vet clinics - but both of our dogs like DI Animal Hospital. Our youngest won't let us walk by without stopping.
Dr baker was awesome! They were there to help New Year’s Day when everywhere else was closed. The pricing was extremely fair. The staff is very kind and helpful. I’d definitely recommend.

I always have a positive experience here with my girls ( two kitties, 20 and 18 yrs old and a 12 yr old doggo). The doctors are very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. The staff is very sweet and caring. I have the utmost respect and appreciation for everyone at Air Harbor. Another big reason I appreciate them, my girls are never afraid or resistant in seeing them and that speaks volumes to me as it shows they are well-cared for while visiting.

Brought my 11 lb. MorkiePoo to Island Dog Pet Wash for a full service grooming appt with nail trim. They are excellent with the nails, wash and cut. Price was $78 which is reasonable. Everyone was so friendly and my Pup was all smiles.
They have a Pet supply section for essentials along with Pet washing tubs if you are looking for a DIY Pet wash place.
Very easy to find right up 61, part of a shopping area with ample parking. They are always busy so plan to schedule with them at least a couple months in advance. We scheduled our next appt when we checked out. Island Dog came highly recommended from neighbors with Doodle breeds and I'm very happy to have found them.
Classes here have become a part of my weekly routine. My only regret is that I didn’t start sooner! Love this place.
When visiting James Island, I always have to visit Holy Cow. Love the variety of classes that I've taken this week and the 3 class pass is so great for a vacationer. Looking forward to my next visit. No wonder that Holy Cow is the oldest studio in Charleston, it's a wonderful place to practice.
Not only is Kat a wonderful person, but her pilates instruction is top notch. I was a beginner with an injury and she worked with me to personalize each motion around my bad back. The springboard classes really engage the body in a way that mat work alone cannot. I cannot recommend Kat enough!

I really enjoy going to this studio! You do have to schedule in advance to grab a spot but I can usually get whatever spots I want about 5-7 days out. Parking is super easy in the center it's in but if there's a wreck/backup at 17 and Main, it becomes super hard to get into the lot (nothing the business can handle, just a heads up for planning). The classes have all been challenging but doable and the instructors are all great.

The whole experience of having a massage from Jayya was exceptional. She really takes the time to listen to you, has a beautiful space and is extremely skilled at her craft. The obsidian stones and the singing bowl at the end really took the experience to the next level. I cannot recommend Jayya enough!

Dr. D always gets me back in good shape! I’ve had ongoing neck issues and she has helped tremendously! She even helped me get a good pillow since that was part of my problem!
My wife and I have now been here three or four times. I've never had a bad massage. The first three times were probably in the 4-4.5 range if I had to put a number to them. But this last time was one of the best massages I've ever had in my life. Amy (Aimee?) was amazing. Actually focused on the areas that were causing me problems, and worked them until I left feeling better than I've felt in a couple of years. Simply amazing work by her. A couple of minor things - they turned away three people (one couple and one gentlemen) while we were checking in, because they didn't have appointments. So even though it says walk ins welcome, I'd caution to make an appointment. Amy did say they were about to expand next door so they'd be able to take more people in the near future, so I'm sure that'll help out. Lastly my massage started about 10-15 minutes late because they must have been backed up. Amy gave me a full hour massage, and I didn't get cheated out of any time (if anything she may have went a few minutes over), I just mention this as a warning your 2 o'clock appointment may turn into a 2:15 appointment instead. If you get Amy (likewise my wife said her masseuse was also amazing) you'll leave feeling great and definitely won't mind a few minute delay.

After my session with Abigail today, I can honestly say she is in a league of her own and a master of her craft!
What stood out most wasn’t just her technical skill, although that alone is exceptional… it was the entire experience and the level of intuition she brings into her work. There’s an incredibly calming and grounded presence about her and the session never felt rushed or impersonal!
Without me having to overexplain every injury or tight area, she seemed to naturally understand where I was holding tension. I felt a level of pain relief I haven’t experienced in a VERY long time, but even more than that, I felt mentally quiet and reset in a way that’s hard to put into words.
Her space itself mirrors the experience. Quiet, calming, and tucked into one of the most charming areas of Charleston.
I can absolutely understand why Abigail was voted Charleston’s Best Massage Therapist in both 2024 and 2025. If you’re looking for deep tissue work, sports massage, chronic neck pain relief, or honestly just looking to destress, go see Abigail. David Seagle and Rehab Carolina were recommended by my orthopedic surgeon Dr. Lowery and my experience with David and his entire team have been 5 STARS from the Receptionist's introduction call walking me through insurance coverage & appointment availability through the first three sessions with David to address my severe back pain caused by a lumbar muscle sprain associated with a facet joint. David is super patient, thoughtful and encouraging. During my darkest moments waiting for meds to kick in, he gave me tips to minimize pain getting out of bed, walking and every other required movement. I've got much work to do rebuilding core strength and I'm grateful to have David and Rehab Carolina to help me!

I initially started treatment 3 times per week and at first wondered when or if I would feel improvement. Lauren was very patient and professional in her instructions and hands on treatments. Today Saturday January 17, 2026 was acupuncture happy hour. It was a great way to relieve some stress and included a sound bath. As a plus there was stretching by FROM (Full range of Motion). I Can't wait for the next event.

I have being treated by Dr. Zhibo Ding for some years now, and I definitely recommend her 100%. She is a miracle worker. Every time I go to her I got awesome results on the first treatment. Rotator cuffs, knees, sciatica, muscle and joint pain, anxiety, sleep problems, stomach and intestinal issues, everything she nails it in few therapies. I am so glad I found her. I had been treated by other acupuncturist in the past but nothing like her. She has the knowledge and that special touch to fix me. Be confident and call her office, you won’t regret it.

This is an excellent driving program. The instructors are professional, patient and safety focused. I felt very confident and comfortable with my child alone in a car with the instructors. They take the time to explain everything clearly and make sure students feel confident and prepared. I would absolutely recommend this course to other families.
I had Mrs penny as my driving instructor and she is the best 10-10 recommend she is very nice and patient with you and helps you and fixes things that you struggle with and is a good person. James island driving is best on the island
