Michael is a PRO! He patiently and so delicately removed a full gel x set for me. The charms were super hard to remove and he took the extra time to make sure they came off with zero damage to my nail bed. (Any less patience and serious damage could have happened!) He was so kind and went the extra mile to make sure I had a nice experience. Thank you so much!

I had a consult for a curl permanent, so glad they do this so we're not surprised after the perm. They are completely honest after testing one rod, I appreciate their opinion and wouldn't want to take a chance having my hair break or change color if we went ahead without testing. Everyone there seems to be in a nice happy mood, I like it.

Absolutely the most amazing experience and worth everything. At 40 I feel I am too young for losing my hair and so much thinning. I have natural curly hair and it used to be beautiful, and due to so many body and hair changes, I chopped it to shoulder length and regrets kicked in immediately. I felt it made me feel and look old. Did the online form and within a day was booked with Lindsey. The day came, and I was so nervous and scared. She walked me through the process, talked about my preferences and suggestions and we were started. She was fun and light hearted to be around, made the entire experience so easy. I left feeling like myself and have gotten so many compliments from people I don't even know.

So I recently discovered that the reason my hair was ALWAYS frizzy and never looked good was because I have wavy hair?! I saw Quincy recommended a couple times for curly cuts (not to start a discussion of whether or not waves are a type of curl) and decided to give her a shot since I had only ever gotten cuts for straight hair. I gave her not much more than "I want my waves to look good ?" and she was able to turn that into a reality. My hair has never looked better and I don't even have to try! Which is perfect because I am not a person that has ever gotten into taking any time to style my hair before work. Good bye constant pony tail because my hair never cooperates and hello hair that actually makes me feel confident.

I only let Mary touch my head anymore. She fixes all of my self-done catastrophes like cutting my own bangs or coloring my own hair. I dyed my hair blue and purple when I went through divorce, and she used her expertise to restore my hair back to normalcy when I was done being crazy about the life changes. She makes excellent suggestions for cuts, color, and product, and she is a great listener.

So my haircut was great no complaints there. My only issue is I was told cash only, so had to get cash out $75 for the cut, that’s kinda high to me pre tip… am I wrong? when I always tip at least 20% ended up getting out 100 and told me he couldn’t break it…. Just kinda felt like I was getting taken. But legit the cut was great!

So I recently moved up here a year ago, got here in like early December of last year. I have been looking for a decent barber all year long. Me being a black person, no one really knows how to cut black hair. Going through trial & error haircut after haircut (really annoying process). I ended up stumbling across this place on, “the cut” app, an app I used to used before I got here. Ended up booking an appointment with Mourad because it looked like he did great with all hair types. Before getting the haircut he made sure it was communicated on what I wanted. We then discussed what would look the best for me and ngl it seemed like he actually cared and was going to take his time. I felt like I was in good hands the ENTIRE time like how I was back at home. Safe to say Mourad did a phenomenal job with my cut. I strongly recommend trying this place out NO MATTER your skin tone.

We were in town for another appointment and decided to make appointments for my 2 boys. I was beyond impressed by the hair cuts Gino did for them. He is a true artist and was also very patient with my nervous 9 year old. I watched everyone who was working and they were all extremely talented. We live several hours away but I plan to come back for sure.
I live out of state and wanted a spray tan before my wedding in Anchorage. I wasn't able to get a trial tan since I don't live in AK so I trusted K's Airbrush Tans off the great reviews and I'm so glad I did! I wanted a natural glow to avoid looking too pale against my white dress. My tan by Kayla turned out great and the results lasted through my week-long honeymoon after!
I called on a Saturday and asked how late they were open until. The phone girl said 8pm. I asked if they had a 6:20 or 6:40 available in the Open Sun and she said both. I said I’d take the 6:40 and she got my last and first name. I showed up on time to find the store dark and open sign off. The sign on the front door said they were only open until 8pm on weekdays and weekends was 6pm. I laughed and thought to myself how could they schedule me for after close? Now, you’re probably asking yourself why I still have them 5 stars. I messaged them on social media and explained what happened. They apologized, said they would talk to their staff and put a free tan on my account. That was good enough for me. Mistakes happen, they owned up to it and made it right. Their facilities are always clean and staff friendly and knowledgeable. I’m sure this was just a one off with an in training employee. I’ve tanned at Sunsation off and on since I was in high school, and I’m now 38, so for 22 years. They will always have my business.

My husband bought me a gift certificate from here and I finally had the opportunity to use it. This place gets booked quickly and walking in is a gamble, so making an appointment is a must! I experienced a clean and calm atmosphere as i got my pedicure. She was friendly, polite, and did a wonderful job on my toes. I can see why she is always busy!

I got a gel extension manicure and a gel pedicure here about 2 weeks ago, and not only are they gorgeous, but they've completely held up in quality. They did a wonderful job on the design I asked for and were pleasant and nice to be around. I loved Sunny and Stormy too. I hadn't yet found great quality manicures in Alaska, but now that I know about Hollywood Nails, I will be back whenever I'm in Anchorage.

I like to get a pedi every 2-3 weeks. The setting is calm and relaxing. The pedi is great and the polish lasts till my next visit, and would probably last quite a while beyond that! The massages are the best I have ever had while getting a pedi. I would highly recommend a visit!!

I recently sent my daughter in for an impromptu eyebrow visit, to my hurry I did not recognize that I had not scheduled with a master stylist for her. She came home a mess, with crooked eyebrows and tears just before her birthday weekend. She stated she felt rushed in the appointment and didn’t feel like the gal cared enough to hear her concerns as the next appointment was already there and waiting.
I reached out via the website with my concern and issue- Michelle, the owner was very prompt in reaching out to me and assisted my daughter in correcting the situation. We also received follow up from the gal who initially provided the service.

I have very sensitive skin (rosacea) and am limited to what I can use. This is the cleanest, most purest line of products I have ever found. My face is especially happy to have moisturizing creams that nourish, not agitate my skin. While I enjoy many of the products, my favorites are the Moisturizing Cleansing Cream and the Peptide Treatment Cream. Especially loving it during these dry months of winter! I highly recommend.

I got my 1st micro-needling session from the owner Sohyun and it was absolutely amazing! The service was top notch with an after cooling mask and scalp massage that was heavenly. I healed so well I decided to come back for the 2nd session of micro- needling and she added in a 10 minute session of red light therapy after to assist with the healing process and I do feel like it helped! The spa carries Aveda products that are vegan and cruelty free. I just love everything about this place and highly recommend it.
Jen is truly awesome! ? I've had many facials at many spots, in and out of Anchorage, and the one that I got at Pure Skincare was top notch. When you arrive, you're led to a room that is comforting and relaxing. When the facial starts, you're introduced to pure bliss. Jen went thru some options but I basically left it up to her. She explained everything that she was doing very well. Not only did it feel great during the facial but I cannot remember my skin looking so good after any of the others. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up, 5 stars, would HIGHLY recommend!

She was very kind and accommodating when I came in as I was running late misjudging my travel time from Eagle River. Very calm and non-judgmental which put me at ease. Her space is very clean and also very soothing. I love my lashes and received the compliments that they looked natural and fit my face and eye shape. Lai (owner) graciously accomodated us after we inquired to walk-in. She called us when she had an opening and we were able to get our design drawn out and started really quickly. She took our Inspo pic and created an image to our liking and adjusted where we requested. The shop has a $100 minimum. It was really clean and being that there were three of us getting a friendship tattoo, we watched her rigorous change out of tools and other materials at her station between each of us. We will be back and highly recommend SDI Tattoo.

I had a friend come from out of town and wanted to get an alaska tattoo. It was her 1st time here. She called around a lot of places and Darrell (the new owner of this shop) was able to get her in and get it done. He was professional and friendly. He explained why the tattoo had to be bigger than she wanted (due to it being in color). It was a great experience, great price, and great looking tattoo. I myself will get a tattoo from him too.

I give them a 4 star rating, bc they were able to get us in the same day we called! Only problem I had was the way they covered up my tat. Other than that, it was an easy fix & I love how my tattoos turned out. Recommend going! They gave me $100 off for my next tat.
Requested style: We were able to make small changes to how I wanted them & he even shared what would make it better.
Stylist: He was alright & I felt comfortable with him doing my tattoos! It's mostly quiet with background music on, but I liked it.

The main line was clogged. They were able to get the job done quickly and professionally, plus it was a great price!. I would highly recommend giving them a call if you have any sewer/drain issues.
