Dr. Tran and her staff have been immensely helpful in treating my dry eyes. Dr. Tran takes the time to hear your concerns and helps tailor a plan to you. She uses up to date treatments such as IPL and LLT therapy and does a great job explaining the benefits of each in conjunction with medications and lifestyle modifications.

I dyed my hair blue and purple when I went through divorce, and she used her expertise to restore my hair back to normalcy when I was done being crazy about the life changes. She makes excellent suggestions for cuts, color, and product, and she is a great listener.

I called on a Saturday and asked how late they were open until. The phone girl said 8pm. I asked if they had a 6:20 or 6:40 available in the Open Sun and she said both. I said I’d take the 6:40 and she got my last and first name. I showed up on time to find the store dark and open sign off. The sign on the front door said they were only open until 8pm on weekdays and weekends was 6pm. I laughed and thought to myself how could they schedule me for after close? Now, you’re probably asking yourself why I still have them 5 stars. I messaged them on social media and explained what happened. They apologized, said they would talk to their staff and put a free tan on my account. That was good enough for me. Mistakes happen, they owned up to it and made it right. Their facilities are always clean and staff friendly and knowledgeable. I’m sure this was just a one off with an in training employee. I’ve tanned at Sunsation off and on since I was in high school, and I’m now 38, so for 22 years. They will always have my business.

I called when they first opened to make a same day appointment for pedicures for my husband and I and they were able to fit us in and were very friendly. We just finished the pedicures and they were perfect! The chair was comfortable with a built in massager. The lavender scrub and hot stones were a nice touch, we will definitely be back!
I’ve been to pretty much every single nail salon in Anchorage and this is by far the most clean and most professional establishment when it comes to nail care. Helen does an excellent job, but everyone on her staff is very capable and my nails look great afterwards. I highly recommend giving this place a shot.

Went in for a set of volume lashes. Came out with these stubs! The lashes started on one eye 1/4 up my eye instead of the very beginning of my lashes, the other was even further up. I don’t know what she put on them at the end, but they are stiff. I came out looking like I already needed a months fill. This is legitimately the worst lash experience I’ve ever had. I tried to like them, but ended up crying with how bad they look. I messaged them saying how much I hated them. Was told they don’t have time to fix them, but gave me a referral for a walk in where I could pay again for lashes that should have been done as volume the first time. I once loved this place, but I’ll never return!
Edit: I will not remove my review, but I was very upset at the time that I had spent this amount of money and the response I received. Ember Asthetics is a wonderful place and so welcoming. I had always had the best experience. The first person I went to I absolutely loved, but they changed what they wanted to do.
My review is a real situation that happened from my side and should they have corrected them faster, yes. I couldn’t pay what I paid to go get fixed and wait for them. However, I also do understand it can be hard to get someone in quickly. I was just so upset at that moment because I could finally afford to do this. I have custody of little ones and I had to buy everything all over for them, as 3 young children were flown to me with just a small backpack of stuff for 3 young young babies. Child care and buying everything they needed was a struggle that I needed to hold down 2 full time jobs, but it’s no excuse to write a deeming hateful review. It was my honest opinion in the beginning.
Do all in all, do go to Ember Asthetics, to this date I have still recommended the place for others and I will continue to recommend them. My teeth gems have lasted I believe 3 years. The artists there are warm, welcoming, and usually the best. I normally walk out with what I want and feeling like a beautiful queen.
So all in all, if you want an inclusive, no judgement experience, do visit Ember. Just don’t be like me and not say something in the moment. Do not
wait as I was really trying to like them. Ember deserves our support to keep going and thrive in the environment we live in today!

Great COVID protocols. All must be masked, temp taken, questions asked. Also -I've been seeing Ashley about year now and have a very troubled back. Fused spine T4-L4 to treat scoliosis for the past 24 years. I'm pretty active but not super athletic. Anyway, if you want a medical massage that really deals with tension and knots she will work with you to get movement back and decrease pain even if it's longterm issues. She had helped me with scar tissue, old knots, even TMJ. I am thrilled to have recommended her to others who also have only good things to say! I've seen a good number of therapists over the years and she's the best. Has great bedside manner to make you feel comfortable and really wants the best for you!

When you arrive, you're led to a room that is comforting and relaxing. When the facial starts, you're introduced to pure bliss. Jen went thru some options but I basically left it up to her. She was very kind and accommodating when I came in as I was running late misjudging my travel time from Eagle River. Very calm and non-judgmental which put me at ease. Her space is very clean and also very soothing. I love my lashes and received the compliments that they looked natural and fit my face and eye shape. I don’t wear make-up so they really were perfect for my more natural, but feminine vibe. Highly recommend!

She called around a lot of places and Darrell (the new owner of this shop) was able to get her in and get it done. He was professional and friendly. He explained why the tattoo had to be bigger than she wanted (due to it being in color). It was a great experience, great price, and great looking tattoo. I myself will get a tattoo from him too.

Had a consult with Taryl for my eyebrow piercings that I thought were rejecting (I originally got the piercings out of state). They were incredible! Great at explaining possible causes and things to consider if I want to get them repierced. I really appreciate that consults here are free.

6 stars if I could!! I had no heat or hot water. Don was able to come out the same day I called and fixed the igniter on my boiler. He is quick! He is very professional, his prices are reasonable and he knows his stuff!!

Great service! I had grey water come up through my garage drain late Friday night. I called AK Rooter and talked through the issue and agreed to a Monday appointment to avoid weekend OT. They snaked the pipes and let me know there was a blockage caused by HAIR! They flushed the system and were on their way.
Bob was professional and a great communicator. He was able to come over in a timely manner and came on time (same day I called him) to clear out a pipe clog. He also talked me through how to prevent the problem from occurring in the first place in the future.Service: Drain cleaning
We had some ceiling damage from a slow leak in our rental condo. I was going out of town, so I called around to try and get a quick estimate.. At first Sound Mechanical didn’t have any appointments, but said they’d call if something came open. It did, and the plumber, Eric, arrived as expected! He was able to quickly find the leak source and efficiently cut a neat hole in the sheetrock.. He also spotted the source of another leak that I thought was a non-plumbing related issue. He promptly fixed both leaks using a tool that compresses copper pipe instead of having to sweat it. So much faster with no torch flame! The price was reasonable, and I am very happy with Eric’s service and professionalism. Sound Mechanical will be our go-to for any plumbing issues!

I have been a customer since 2006 when I bought my first home. Over that time Circle has provided service, repairs and installation for the simple valve change in a shower, water heater replacement, to a full heating system change and upgrade in two homes. Circle has always been friendly and professional. Even at times when I had questions or complaints. I have high expectations of any business that provides service. I don’t believe in finding the cheapest but if you charge a premium for anything your service and follow up should match that level. No company is perfect but how they handle a miscommunication or mistake show the level of service and integrity they operate their business. I feel this is where Circle has earned my repeat business for my home and other properties. They are truly a generational family business serving other businesses and families.
We have had Cassidy Plumbing & Heating complete several jobs for us. We had them repair two water line leaks in the crawl space. We then asked them to replace the copper lines with Pex tubing, so no more worries about leaks. Then we had them replace our water heater and boiler. Finally, they just completed the installation of infloor heat thru out our entire house. It is wonderful!

Awesome and concise! I called them and within 2 hours they were on the job! I had a fried breaker and a faulty outlet that was a fire hazard they came in and fixed it immediately. If you're looking for a great company to come clean your carpets - look no further. I'll spare you the details but one of my kids had a smelly "accident" all down the stairs. We were certain that the carpets were going to have to be replaced. So thankful though for Clean Team. They were candid in stating they weren't confident they'd be able to remove the stain/odor BUT they did.They were worth EVERY penny and were incredibly responsive. 100% would recommend! We bought an old home and Ion refinished the wood floors (original maple, had not been refinished in 64 years). It looks like a new house! Completely transformative! He's a perfectionist and we took his advice on the stain. (I wanted lighter but he suggested a slightly darker honey that would bring out the warmth in our cabinets). He was 100% right. We couldn't be happier with the results.
Moreover, we had to remove the existing fireplace, so there was a large area without wood that we needed to patch. We also had him fill in the old forced air vents since we have baseboard heating as well as add a bullnose around the spiral staircase.
We received another estimate (similar price), but when I asked about matching the wood for fireplace area and vents, the other guy said there was just no possible way to match the wood without it looking like an obvious patch. He suggested we patch it in the opposite direction of the grain (?) and he would try to make it look like an old patch (?)
Anyway, Ion was able to patch the fireplace and floor vents perfectly! It's so seamless it looks like there was never anything else but solid wood.

K & W remodeled our bathroom this summer, and the entire process was very smooth. Our designer Hayley listened to us very carefully and created very beautiful renderings. She helped us choose beautiful, high-quality materials within our budget. Also, she gave us great advice in choosing the colors that matched our bathroom theme.
As for the actual construction, K & W were willing to work around our schedule. We were provided a calendar that included the entire schedule. The process was very smooth, and the disruption was minimal. All the workers were punctual, professional, and respectful. Everyone cleaned up the area before they left for the day. We were also impressed with the fact that some of them were even willing to work on weekends to keep up with the schedule. Moreover, the craftmanship is excellent, and all the workers are seasoned and highly skilled. K & W transformed our old bathroom with a tub to a very beautiful walk-in shower.
We were also impressed with how often and quickly the team communicated with us. Every week the project manager emailed the update and let us know the upcoming works of the following week. Moreover, our project leader John always texted me in advance and let us know when the workers were coming. The team always answered my questions right away. Indeed K & W went the extra 10 miles for us. For example, after the remodeling was over, John stopped by and made sure that our ceiling had enough insulation. We truly believe that K & W wants to make sure that their clients are satisfied completely. The care, service, and communication exceeded our expectations.
Now we have a very beautiful bathroom, and we are very happy that we chose to work with K & W. It was very pleasant to work with the team. We have a few more interior projects in the future, and we would like to work with K & W again.

Innovative Construction and Design-Great people, fair prices and fabulous work! I love my newly remodeled bathroom! Josh was very meticulous in the work he did from the plumbing to the the drywall, texture and paint! My bathroom is my favorite place to hangout now! He isnt the cheapest guy out there but I would rather pay for some damn good work than be skimpy and have to pay another guy to come back in to fix the first guys mess ups. I am so thankful for my friends recommendation and giving Innovative Construction and Design a chance. I will have them back to remodel my living room next and eventually the whole house.

We lost shingles in the wind storms. Avalanche Construction answered their phone, gave us an estimate of when they would be out, and sent a crew when they said they would. The wind was dying down, but it was still too windy for them to work safely on the roof. They reassured us with a report on the extent of the damage, which wasn't as bad as we thought. Zak and Cole were promptly back on our roof the next day when it was safe. They worked quickly and efficiently. They were friendly, thorough, and answered all our questions.

Reno came in and did a fantastic job. The bottom of the tub had chips and the paint was worn and scratched. Saved lots of money not tearing the tub out with the associated costs of drywall, tile, paint and flooring.

We waited 10 minutes past our appointment time. The dental hygienist was very friendly with my 4yo and set them at ease for the routine dental cleaning appointment. My child said they were a little scared at first but the appointment went great and they were comfortable. Great experience!

Heard about this place listening to KWHL, specifically Bob saying how great it was so after days of hardly being able to get out of bed and struggling to even get dressed due to lower and mid back pain after trying to play football at 50 like I was still 25, I made an appointment. Dr. Hargrove, Timothy, and other staff were very kind and took the necessary time to really listen to me which I appreciated very much. After x-rays, 6 weeks of adjustments & therapy, I've never felt better and back to doing anything I want physically. Thank you!

I first saw Dr. Curzie when I was in Scottsdale back in 2021, for migraines. He worked on my back and neck, and after just one visit my migraines became nonexistent. Dr. Curzie's style of chiropractic care worked when other chiropractic and alternative medicines/therapies did not, which I had tried for over 30 years.
Three years later, I had a frozen shoulder. After working with my PCP and PT for months, without improvement, I saw Dr. Curzie. He worked his magic on my shoulder, made suggestions on exercises that would help strengthen it, and following his guidelines, I had improved range of motion and reduced pain within a month. Anyone I know who suffers from migraines or a frozen shoulder, I recommend Dr. Curzie's care.

VCA is absolutely amazing! From the front desk girls to the vets, they are caring and kind. They have treated all our pets and have accommodated us in urgent situations. Dr. Reece especially was helpful and incredibly kind when our dog needed back to back surgeries. I can't say enough great things about VCA. If you want your pets treated like family and with exceptional care, this is the place for you!

Dr Rapp and the staff at Cornerstone are great. I like that Dr Rapp doesn’t sugar coat things. He’s kind and compassionate but realistic. We’ve been using this clinic for 8-9 years through several animals and the service is always great. While some say they are expensive, I will pay the money for the peace of mind. When it comes to serious medical issues I don’t trust anyone else with my pets.

At his most recent visit Dr Averill recommended an enzyme toothpaste and after 2 applications (which my pup handles effortlessly) there is a visible reduction in his tartar buildup! Some of the worst areas are actually chipping away and his breath is SO MUCH BETTER! This guidance was topnotch and will significantly improve my pups health

We have been taking our cats here for years. They do a fantastic job, the cats come home looking, feeling, and smelling great. They often have a little bow or other bonus on their collars.
Wow! This place was A+ and its super organized, clean, wonderful, and a great place for dogs. My pup loved swimming and chasing Frisbee. Pool is like a lap size, with a ramp to allow slower dogs to get in/out. They use doggie life jackets. Have all the toys. Give you someone to assist if needed. After the session you are allowed to wash your dog. You might look at the session price and balk, but IMHO, it's 100% worth it. Give it a go, you'll wanna go back!

Our dog requires special attention and Jordan’s Pet Grooming is always accommodating and listens to our specific requests. Having a poodle requires attention to detail and patience and we have enjoyed our experience over the years. She excels with poodle haircuts and we would recommend her services to anyone seeking great dog hair care.

A great groom done on my cat! Making an appointment was easy. Left a voicemail and heard back from them promptly. He went in for dematting and they did a great job. No scrapes, smooth cut, and listened to the specifics I wanted done for him. I was nervous taking my cat to a new spot and they're a little more expensive than other places but I was very happy with the groomer and end result. He is also much happier now too! I just wish they had a legit website
This is the only place that has been able to trim my dog's nails. My dog is not very social, but she is comfortable here. We are so glad we found this place.
My absolute favorite yoga studio in Anchorage. Open Space has the coziest vibes and some of the best teachers in Anchorage.
This is also the only reliable spot in town to find ecstatic dance, cacao ceremonies, yoga workshops/retreats, prenatal yoga, and reiki services in town. They also offer yoga classes for people going through recovery from drugs or alcohol. All classes are donation based and they even offer punch cards to save a few bucks.
I believe this is also the longest running yoga studio in Anchorage! Absolutely worth visiting if you need some wellness and solid community in your life.
I can’t say enough good things about this studio! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, it was clean, lovely, and provided very nice rentals. Our teacher Amy was wonderful she could teach the beginners in the class simultaneously with seasoned veterans. Highly recommend especially for a drop in class while traveling.
I have been going to a Chiropractor, on and off for decades. I grew up as a Native Houstonian and Texan with a father who had a very well known Chiro that would always help him and she became the standard by which I judge Chiros, for my Houstonian’s, do you remember, “Day Lee” in Rice Village. Well, after years of doing half-marathon training, I had lots of damage from pounding the concrete in Houston and so I went to Dr LeBeof, a well known local Houston Chiro who was routinely on the news and part of HoustonFit. Then, when I became pregnant, I went to my best friend who is a Chiro, Dr Nora Pacha in Houston who also teaches and mentors. I only trusted her while pregnant and would see her only when needed and she always threw the kitchen sink at me. Now, as a new Sourdough Alaskan, I was hesitant to go to any Chiro office I saw on the street. I received a recommendation from a well known Anchorage family to see Treeka. I had my first appt last Friday and walked in with pain and literally walked out without said pain in about a hour. I went today for a followup appt and had a more extensive therapy session with a massage by AJ…I am surprised I didn’t fall down the stairs, shut the front door, my body was so relaxed afterwards…it made me realize how much I have stored in my body and how essential regular chiro appointments are and how this is necessary when dealing with a lot fo stress and pressure in the day to day life…

Regan is kind, professional and warm, but more importantly, extremely effective at her job. She really knows her stuff. After suffering from jaw and neck tension for years, she was able to get me out of my pain and tightness almost completely after just two sessions. I feel so much better and have had so many other health benefits since undergoing this treatment. I really wish I had known about her and done this treatment sooner. I can't recommend her enough.

The staff here are so friendly and the vibes are so calming and relaxing. I can say with absolute confidence that I received the best massage of my life by Raven! She is extremely skilled and an excellent masseuse. I had a prenatal massage and she was just the right amount of gentle yet firm and also worked carefully on areas that I specifically requested and indicated I had pain or sensitivity. I left feeling utterly refreshed and I will absolutely return here. They even give you a chocolate truffle so you can leave on a sweet note, and many of the products used appear to be from local companies (hand soap and lotion in the restroom for example). Absolutely recommend a visit here!

Lisa was a middle-aged Chinese lady. It wasn't an exceptional but very descent massage. Best thing was that it was from head to toe and great attitude. Place was nice and comfortable and so was the room. It was very reasonably priced.

My toddler has been going here for both physical therapy from Ashley and occupational therapy from Dianne for a couple of months now. These ladies are absolutely outstanding at their job! My son actually smiles whenever we enter the building. The exercises they gave us to work on at home have been helping him to improve so much. Cannot recommend this place and their therapists enough! You can tell they really care about their patients.
I first started going to inspire physical therapy after my femur fracture. I had to have emergency surgery on my femur, with a rod and screws put in. I have been working tirelessly with Tiffany, and she has been absolutely outstanding. The effort that she puts into every session is incredible. She has rapidly improved my range of motion in my leg, and her therapeutic massages are out of this world. I am an athlete, mostly a skier, and I have no other option but to have a positive prognosis thanks to inspire PT’s care.If you are looking for a physical therapy practice that promotes community, healing, and friendship, look no further than inspire PT! Best acupuncture hands down. Jennifer is very caring and pays close attention to what your needs are. Writes notes down from previous appointments and has a very good structured company. She cares about her patients deeply and enjoys what she does which is helping people feel and get better. Saw her for several months for my wrists and my wrist pain has gone down substantially. I put in my calender when I have appointments and forgot my last appointment had some things going on in life but also didn't have a constant reminder that I needed to see someone for my wrists cus they were feeling alot better and haven't had pain in a couple weeks now. She truly is great at what she does.

Went in there for a diving test a few minutes before their 3pm cutoff, they were able to accommodate. Transaction was smooth and the kid was able to get his license. All in all great experience. In and out in less than 30 minutes. It cost a bit, but much quicker than the DMV with no wait or appointment.
