Dr. Tran and her staff have been immensely helpful in treating my dry eyes. Dr. Tran takes the time to hear your concerns and helps tailor a plan to you. She uses up to date treatments such as IPL and LLT therapy and does a great job explaining the benefits of each in conjunction with medications and lifestyle modifications.

This was my first time at misfit salon, and it was an excellent experience. I’ve been going to my salon for years and because of circumstances that had nothing to do with the salon I was going to. The stakes were a bit high on this one since I popped in for hair and makeup in preparation for new headshots, and she nailed it. Everything is perfect. It's not too much or too little and works with my style. Bonus, I've been looking for someone to trust with managing my long hair, and she even has all the products I love!
I only let Mary touch my head anymore. She fixes all of my self-done catastrophes like cutting my own bangs or coloring my own hair. I dyed my hair blue and purple when I went through divorce, and she used her expertise to restore my hair back to normalcy when I was done being crazy about the life changes. She makes excellent suggestions for cuts, color, and product, and she is a great listener.

I went to this one place and I got a horrible haircut feeling lost and horrible I went to this barber shop. Mourad fixed my hair completely and made it from a 2/10 to a 10/10 the haircut he gave me was one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten it’s not only a good barber shop but a good place to laugh and be at 10/10 definitely recommend

Our Track & Field team is in Anchorage for the State Championship and wanted to get team cuts- couldn’t recommend The Blessed Barbershop more! They gave them all amazing cuts and the service was above and beyond! Modern mullets for everyone- coach included!

I called on a Saturday and asked how late they were open until. The phone girl said 8pm. I asked if they had a 6:20 or 6:40 available in the Open Sun and she said both. I said I’d take the 6:40 and she got my last and first name. I showed up on time to find the store dark and open sign off. The sign on the front door said they were only open until 8pm on weekdays and weekends was 6pm. I laughed and thought to myself how could they schedule me for after close? Now, you’re probably asking yourself why I still have them 5 stars. I messaged them on social media and explained what happened. They apologized, said they would talk to their staff and put a free tan on my account. That was good enough for me. Mistakes happen, they owned up to it and made it right. Their facilities are always clean and staff friendly and knowledgeable. I’m sure this was just a one off with an in training employee. I’ve tanned at Sunsation off and on since I was in high school, and I’m now 38, so for 22 years. They will always have my business.

Ive been going to Yeiris for the past several months. I am a chronic nail biter, ive been getting builder gel for the past 6 months; after being on acrylics previously. I cannot recommend them enough, ive always felt ashamed about my habit. Although, they did not make me feel like I should be. But they wanted to figure out the best way to ensure that I can get over this habit. Ive never seen my nails so long since I was 12 years old! I will only go to Yeiris nails for as long as I can help it. They are absolutely the best! Thank you so much!!
I came in because another nail salon messed up my nails. The young lady was being careful when she was ginding around my cuticles due to the other salon cut to much of it. She did a refill with four nail designs.

I called when they first opened to make a same day appointment for pedicures for my husband and I and they were able to fit us in and were very friendly. We just finished the pedicures and they were perfect! The chair was comfortable with a built in massager. The lavender scrub and hot stones were a nice touch, we will definitely be back!

I'm so glad I listened to the FB and Google reviews. Hanna D. really is the best! The turquoise set below was my first time with her. I went simple on purpose and this pic was taken almost six weeks later, when prepping for the pan pride set. Still simple-ish, but more flair and skill to execute. She didn't bat an eyelash, and I've received compliments all over Anchorage over this set. The third pic is my most recent set and was more of an AI-wish. Y'all. She free-handed from the pic, and it's adorable. I can't wait to rock these at the Garbage show in Dublin next weekend!

Great COVID protocols. All must be masked, temp taken, questions asked. Also -I've been seeing Ashley about year now and have a very troubled back. Fused spine T4-L4 to treat scoliosis for the past 24 years. I'm pretty active but not super athletic. Anyway, if you want a medical massage that really deals with tension and knots she will work with you to get movement back and decrease pain even if it's longterm issues. She had helped me with scar tissue, old knots, even TMJ. I am thrilled to have recommended her to others who also have only good things to say! I've seen a good number of therapists over the years and she's the best. Has great bedside manner to make you feel comfortable and really wants the best for you!

I have been getting facials from Tricia for years. She’s seen my skin through pregnancies, job changes, and many Alaskan winters. She’s like a chemist with her products. She assesses what my skin needs, finds the right mix of products, and delivers every time. Facials from Tricia will be a staple of my wellness routine for as long as she’s providing the service.
My daughters booked a facial for me here and it was marvelous, start to finish. 11/10, definitely recommend! Now that I have found this little corner spot, I will definitely come back for other services. The facial included some massage of the arms and head as we waited for some (lovely smelling) products to soak in. And of course, the neck area was not forgotten. I felt totally relaxed and rejuvenated.

When you arrive, you're led to a room that is comforting and relaxing. When the facial starts, you're introduced to pure bliss. Jen went thru some options but I basically left it up to her. She explained everything that she was doing very well. Not only did it feel great during the facial but I cannot remember my skin looking so good after any of the others. She called around a lot of places and Darrell (the new owner of this shop) was able to get her in and get it done. He was professional and friendly. He explained why the tattoo had to be bigger than she wanted (due to it being in color). It was a great experience, great price, and great looking tattoo. I myself will get a tattoo from him too.
Went in for last minute tattoos with my mom and honestly had a great experience. Rick was very personable and friendly. Made sure we felt comfortable and cared for during the whole session. Was honestly one of the best tattoo experiences I have had! Dom even had a conversation with me post tattoo session about which, place in town had the best chicken. I recently had my water heater replaced by All-Star and was very pleased with their responsiveness. They scheduled the replacement quickly after my old unit reached the end of its life, provided the same brand and model, and completed the installation efficiently.
There were a few issues during the process, but All-Star addressed them promptly, and the project passed city inspection on the second attempt. While they were not the lowest-cost option, their pricing was competitive, and most importantly, they were able to complete the replacement within just a few days.

At 9pm, our boiler had a major issue and we had serious concerns for the pressure warnings we were getting from the control panel. I can’t recommend this company enough. I had been trying to replace a ceiling fan with a dimmable LED light and had spent hours troubleshooting the wiring (more complicated as it had 4 different cables entering a single J box). I finally called after hours, and to my surprise, he arrived within 15 minutes. Before he agreed to come over, he offered to help me troubleshoot the issue over the phone.
He immediately diagnosed the issue, explained exactly how the circuit was wired, and took the time to teach me what was going on instead of just fixing it and leaving. As someone who enjoys learning and doing projects myself, I really appreciated that he explained the “why” behind everything.
He had the entire job completed in about 30 minutes, the new light and dimmer work perfectly, and I walked away understanding my home’s wiring much better than before.
If you’re looking for an electrician who is knowledgeable, honest, responsive, and willing to educate his customers, I wouldn’t hesitate to call him again. Money very well spent.

100% would recommend! We bought an old home and Ion refinished the wood floors (original maple, had not been refinished in 64 years). It looks like a new house! Completely transformative! He's a perfectionist and we took his advice on the stain. (I wanted lighter but he suggested a slightly darker honey that would bring out the warmth in our cabinets). He was 100% right. We couldn't be happier with the results.
Moreover, we had to remove the existing fireplace, so there was a large area without wood that we needed to patch. We also had him fill in the old forced air vents since we have baseboard heating as well as add a bullnose around the spiral staircase.
We received another estimate (similar price), but when I asked about matching the wood for fireplace area and vents, the other guy said there was just no possible way to match the wood without it looking like an obvious patch. He suggested we patch it in the opposite direction of the grain (?) and he would try to make it look like an old patch (?)
Anyway, Ion was able to patch the fireplace and floor vents perfectly! It's so seamless it looks like there was never anything else but solid wood.

I had Nu Flow Alaska complete a pipe relining project at my home in Anchorage, and I could not be happier with the experience. Rock Phelps and the team were professional, knowledgeable, and clear throughout the process, from the initial inspection and proposal through the finished work.
This was exactly the kind of solution I was hoping for: a trenchless repair that avoided unnecessary excavation or demolition while restoring the sewer line properly. They provided before-and-after videos, explained the work, and even went above and beyond by relining some extra pipe and coating gaps they found along the way.
It is obvious Nu Flow Alaska knows this specialized work inside and out. I really appreciated their communication, their care with the property, and the quality of the final result. I would highly recommend them to anyone in Anchorage dealing with sewer, drain, or pipe lining issues.
Scott did such an excellent job at refinishing our fiber glass shower pan. It was at least 20 years old, chipping paint, uncleanable, battered by tenants, dingy, and flat out gross. He was able to transform it to better than brand new in half a day. His pricing is unbeatable and so insanely reasonable. Very responsive, easy to work with, cleaned up his mess when finished, kind, and knowledgeable. Definitely will be saving this vendor in my phone for the next time I or anyone I know needs help with their bathroom!
We lost shingles in the wind storms. Avalanche Construction answered their phone, gave us an estimate of when they would be out, and sent a crew when they said they would. The wind was dying down, but it was still too windy for them to work safely on the roof. They reassured us with a report on the extent of the damage, which wasn't as bad as we thought. Zak and Cole were promptly back on our roof the next day when it was safe. They worked quickly and efficiently. They were friendly, thorough, and answered all our questions.

I work for the Alaska Commercial Fishing and Agriculture Bank (CFAB), where I was tasked with mitigating a pretty severe pigeon problem—lots of buildup and nuisance. Our building is located near Lake Hood and has a large awning with exposed rafter beams, which made it an ideal nesting spot for pigeons and a more challenging job overall.
I contacted a few local pest control vendors, and none came close to the immediate professionalism, knowledge, and customer service shown by Apex Pest Control. Doug Griffin, the owner, personally came out multiple times before even providing a quote to make sure he fully understood the scope of work and to walk me through similar projects he’s completed. We’ve used Pied Piper Pest Control for years for annual ant prevention treatments, and their spraying has always kept us from having any ant problems. In the past, if we skipped treatments, we would end up with an infestation, so their service has made a huge difference for us.
Last year, we also had a wasp nest that needed to be removed, and Drazen was the technician who came out. He was very polite, professional, and thorough, and he completely solved the issue for us. The nest was located in a tree, and he went to great lengths to safely remove it.

I have a really hard time finding a dentist that will take my insurance. As an "elderly" disabled person, my only insurance is Medicare and Medicaid, and I had no luck finding a dentist in my hometown in WA state, so needless to say, my teeth are not great. I was paying cash for cleanings at my old dentist, years ago, which was over $150 back then, until I couldn't afford it. then I would go get a cleaning only when I could find a dentist having a "free exam with cleaning" special, or a "$35.00 cleaning" special, and the last one pulled a loose tooth for free, but wanted me to come back for $8000.00 of work. I told him that I would "think about it" (he knew what my circumstances were). I didn't go back. I moved to Anchorage last year and I just had my first dental check up and cleaning this week. The hygienist was amazing and didn't lecture me on not flossing (hard to do when your hands don't want to cooperate and have arthritis) and she was scraping for quite awhile. The dentist came in and did the exam and said "Oh, my!! We have quite a mess in here." (I already knew that, so it didn't bother me). Then he said, Tell you what. I need to think about what I can do for you, I WANT to do it all, but with your insurance, I don't know what I CAN do. So give me some time to look into this and I can see you another day and then we'll make a plan. Sound good??" I agreed, and have my next appointment scheduled. A lot of other dentists would do the work and I'd have a huge co pay, I think.

We’re new in town and we came to this place because they accepted TRICARE. They were fantastic with my kids. We had a wellness check and two sports physicals. As well as a physical for pre-surgery for a dental visit. They treated our kids wonderfully. We made an appointment they got us in right away. front desk was thorough and super kind. The doctor we saw was thorough as well covered every single base ; got us what we needed and we left with documents in hand as well as them being willing to fax them where they needed to go. Just exceptional care all around. I’m very impressed. You could tell that they love what they do.

Professional and courteous, Jodie could immediately identify and diagnose the irregular skin. She took initial steps for treatment right away and then mapped out a plan for treatment. I felt well cared for.
My appt with Ivy, a PA who is unfortunately leaving, was very thorough and a number of issues were addressed. I will miss her but have confidence I will be seen by the correct professional to treat my issues and concerns. I did speak with the Office Administrator about the clinic's awful phone system (a new one installed when the clinic mo bed to its current location) and understand the problem and that not only are they well aware of it but are determining how best to address it. I hope that happens soon.
The LPN was personable, and she seemed like she really cared nice atmosphere. Glad to be back. It's been a while since I've checked on my skin and upkeep. I want to do better in this area. And I appreciate their help.
I wish I could explain in words what this clinic has done for our family and what they mean to us. The care, understanding, knowledge, prices, medicine advancement, is the best! Our older dog started having hip issues young and because of this vet we got to spend many more years with him. I’d trust them with any animal but especially the older dogs that we love so much.
They take such good care of our little dog Max! Professional kind, caring, friendly service, and treatment at this facility!

Dr. Seymour is the best! Very caring staff all around. They have always fit our dogs in for emergencies. We have a fear reactive dog and the staff are so understanding and have helped our dog be more confident all around. The other vets at VCA Lake Otis have also been amazing. No one else we would trust our dogs with.

The medical care my animals have received, including the recent Euthanasia of one of my sweet dogs, is always handled with care, understanding, honesty, and compassion. I cannot recommend Chester Valley Veterinary enough. They genuinely care about the animals they treat.

The team is fantastic.
At his most recent visit Dr Averill recommended an enzyme toothpaste and after 2 applications (which my pup handles effortlessly) there is a visible reduction in his tartar buildup! Some of the worst areas are actually chipping away and his breath is SO MUCH BETTER! This guidance was topnotch and will significantly improve my pups health

I can’t say enough great things about Alaska Veterinary Clinic and everyone that works there. My dog Kevin and I moved to Anchorage in 2021 and he’s been a patient here ever since. Kevin is now 16 years old and though health-wise the past 16 months have been really hard, I totally credit Dr. Lindquist and the staff here for him still being alive and having a great quality of life considering his age and with his diagnoses.
We are in quite frequently for integrative medicine visits, dental procedures, surgeries, and the occasional acute illness exam, and I just love how much the front desk staff, the techs, and the docs adore Kevin. They show him so much love which makes us both really happy and more at ease.
I’ve always been really pleased with the communication and the convenience of being able to text them with questions or updates. They’re able to relay that information to Dr. Lindquist, put it in Kevin’s file, and get back to me with any answers or follow up.
I also appreciate how patient they are with me through all of my questions and during really emotional appointments. They are honest, take their time, listen, and explain things well.
I am always singing their praises and referring people and will continue to do so.

Ivan always does such a great job on our mini schnauzer, who is a little anxious with new people. We adopted him this year at 5.5 years old, and second visit Bam Bam was all smiles when we picked him up. He smells great, so silky soft and just looks so good! Thank you!
My cat Ajax always comes back looking so handsome and feeling soooo soft. He’s not always happy about grooming appointments, so I’m especially grateful for the patience and gentle care the groomers show him!
Wow! This place was A+ and its super organized, clean, wonderful, and a great place for dogs. My pup loved swimming and chasing Frisbee. Pool is like a lap size, with a ramp to allow slower dogs to get in/out. They use doggie life jackets. Have all the toys. Give you someone to assist if needed. After the session you are allowed to wash your dog. You might look at the session price and balk, but IMHO, it's 100% worth it. Give it a go, you'll wanna go back!

I learned about Howling Peaks in early April because I was looking for dog training services in town that does not use force/pain/fear methods. Now, Howling Peaks is the only place I trust daycare, training, and boarding. What a positive difference it helped for my shy puppy! I recently adopted my dog about 5 months ago and it has helped her from anxious/nervous to confident/socialized dog and overgrow her separating anxiety.
Holly has been incredibly helpful with our private training session and day training. Before, it was frustrating to bring my dog out on walks because I would always get dragged at the end of the lead. After a few sessions (and ongoing training at home) my dog's leash manners has improved DRASTICALLY! This is the only place that I highly recommend to my other pet parents for any doggy services.
Great as always, Jordan is a wonderful groomer and treats my YORKSHIRE great!!. I highly recommend her.
This is like the 4th time bringing my fur babies into have them done up. And today they did a good job. But as well as the other times too. But today my baby girl was looking so good. With her purple ears and tail. I love it. And my son was so happy to see his baby girl. all dolled up.
My mini Aussie went to Brigitte for her first grooming experience and she did the best job ever! My baby girl looks like a show dog. She de shed and removed so much of her undercoat and I am just so impressed with the job she did.

I came to Autumn at the recommendation of my vet due to her experience working with fearful dogs. I have a rescue that was scared of being groomed. I tried taking him to other groomers and he would refuse to come out of the kennel and would just cower in a corner.
Autumn is willing to work with him on a level where he is comfortable and no longer scared of getting groomed.
She has also been kind enough to let us come by and say hello just so he can get to know her as a friend.
oh man, i finally made it to anchorage yoga on a whim last week and im still thinking about it. the space is so calm and warm, like walking into a friends cozy living room but better. the instructor actually paid attention to everyone and gave little adjustments that made a huge difference. i usually feel super awkward in new studios but they made it feel so easy and welcoming. left the class feeling looser and way less stressed then when i walked in. i already booked another class for next week, its that good. if you need a break from everything, this is the spot.
My absolute favorite yoga studio in Anchorage. Open Space has the coziest vibes and some of the best teachers in Anchorage.
This is also the only reliable spot in town to find ecstatic dance, cacao ceremonies, yoga workshops/retreats, prenatal yoga, and reiki services in town. They also offer yoga classes for people going through recovery from drugs or alcohol. All classes are donation based and they even offer punch cards to save a few bucks.
I believe this is also the longest running yoga studio in Anchorage! Absolutely worth visiting if you need some wellness and solid community in your life.

Ashiatsu Massage with Mary was amazing, my first time her studio was warm welcoming environment and she made me feel comfortable. She was very informative and made me feel completely relaxed during the massage. Highly recommend!!

Regan is kind, professional and warm, but more importantly, extremely effective at her job. She really knows her stuff. After suffering from jaw and neck tension for years, she was able to get me out of my pain and tightness almost completely after just two sessions. I feel so much better and have had so many other health benefits since undergoing this treatment. I really wish I had known about her and done this treatment sooner. I can't recommend her enough.

Lisa was a middle-aged Chinese lady. It wasn't an exceptional but very descent massage. Best thing was that it was from head to toe and great attitude. Place was nice and comfortable and so was the room. It was very reasonably priced.

Great massage therapist, she can do really deep pressure too. A lot of people are always looking for that, she is really strong. She can get a lot done in one session. I walked out of there a lot less tight.
Edit: I felt even better the next day. One of the most beneficial massages I've had for my pain. She's very good at finding problems and working them out.

My toddler has been going here for both physical therapy from Ashley and occupational therapy from Dianne for a couple of months now. These ladies are absolutely outstanding at their job! My son actually smiles whenever we enter the building. The exercises they gave us to work on at home have been helping him to improve so much. Cannot recommend this place and their therapists enough! You can tell they really care about their patients.

I mentioned it to my son’s doctor, and he immediately referred us there. My son had an amazing experience with Mrs. Tiffany. She made him feel comfortable, safe, and truly cared for. Best acupuncture hands down. Jennifer is very caring and pays close attention to what your needs are. Writes notes down from previous appointments and has a very good structured company. She cares about her patients deeply and enjoys what she does which is helping people feel and get better. Saw her for several months for my wrists and my wrist pain has gone down substantially. I put in my calender when I have appointments and forgot my last appointment had some things going on in life but also didn't have a constant reminder that I needed to see someone for my wrists cus they were feeling alot better and haven't had pain in a couple weeks now. She truly is great at what she does.

Cloe was the best instructor I could’ve imagined having. Half the time I believed she had more confidence in me than I did myself. No matter if you are young or about to be a skeleton I believe that if you have Cloe as an instructor you can pass your test first try. I had came into the class with no experience besides driving around base and we were able to safely drive on the highway day one. She was super supportive and understanding of people who learned differently and always offered to show me before I had to do it myself. The minute I sat in the car for my test I felt like I had years worth of experience just from a week, in which I passed first try. Thank you Cloe! If anyone get Cloe as instructor trust what she says is true, she wouldn’t say it if it wasn’t.
