“My (now) husband and I came up to Alaska to get married, and we ended our three-week excursion with a final stop at Primal Instinct Tattoo before we flew home. I had coordinated with our artist, Kaitlin McCanless, months beforehand, and we had a plan in place. She was super easy to communicate with and more than willing to work with us on our budgets and visions. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a cool-ass shop, super friendly folks, and some pretty sick tattoo designs that she had prepared. Kaitlin was super intentional in her work and was incredibly patient with us as we hashed out the final details. Her linework is super clean, her designs are top-tier, and my only regret is that her tattoo makes my surrounding tattoos look like ass because hers is so good!
She was also incredibly transparent and gave us her honest feedback and opinions, which was invaluable. My husband ended up getting his wedding band tattooed on his finger, and she really did a fantastic job being honest and explaining the healing process and the touch-ups that his ring would require. Ultimately, we ended our marriage trip on a super high note, and when we make it back out to Alaska, we’ll definitely be stopping by for more work from Kaitlin!”
