Esteban and his team at SSJ flooring put down our vinyl plank floor in 2023 -beautiful job. We were very happy. Nice finish, easy to keep, looked really good. In 2025 we had a major flood. 6 inches of water everywhere. The maintenance team at the apartment building are still talking about the floor. It held the water. They quickly sucked it up . We put down some fans and all is as good as new. Nothing moved, nothing shifted, no mold has appeared. Esteban came right out and looked it all over. He gave us advice as to how to proceed with the cleanup. He tested the moisture levels for us. We highly recommend the product, the installation and the after care.

If you need a professional tailor, this is the place. I had this dress since COVID — it was secondhand from a girl who tailored it herself. I then brought it to my friend’s mom who tried TWICE to hem it for me by hand, but I didn’t even know the fragile fabric had been cut (unevenly!) by the original owner.
This dress fit the theme for a wedding coming up, so I tried my luck here at A+ Cleaners for what would be a 4th time tailoring of this dang dress. CALL IN ADVANCE to check what time the tailor will be in. She was very professional and powdered a line from the bottom, so that the unevenness of the cut fabric wouldn’t matter. It was done within a week, so I was able to pick up before my flight. Here is the end result!!!

Shahana did a great job with our daughter’s haircut. She’s one year old and very squirmy, but Shahana was patient and careful! She had plenty of toys to distract her and was clearly experienced with young children. Also there’s parking at the salon which is really convenient!

Britt is a phenomenal stylist that takes a holistic approach to haircare. When I first visited her salon in May of 2024, I had been suffering from alopecia tied to low iron and vitamin D which caused excessive hair thinning and shedding. I was fed up with a prior stylist who acted like it wasn't a big deal and gaslit men repeatedly that nothing as wrong with my hair. Britt did a through scalp analysis and we discussed both my long and short term hair goals. I regularly saw her every 12 weeks or ago for trims and to apply the MyVeg reconstructive treatment. I already had a great at home regimen so no tweaking was needed. Over the past 16 months my shedding has drastically reduced, my hair thickened, and the growth is no longer at a snails pace thanks to me researching supplements and Brittneys expertise.

When I came to her for my first appointment, my hair was very badly damaged and needed a lot of maintenance while it grew out. Jenn gave me a lot of tips and used gentle products on my hair to help me with the grow out process. She is knowledge but she is also a kind person & she will listen & help you achieve you goals. Coming back after two years and it was just as good of an experience as the first but even better. I came a little early and was put in the chair despite that. I was greeted with kindness, and flexibility. The conversation flower and the nails blew my expectations since I came in indecisive, I was given lots of options and even a better one than expected. My nails always last a long time but I lifted up 6 40 case bottles of water up flights of stairs without breaking a nail... My expectations are HIGH. Also she introduced me to two tone polish and I'm so intrigued by the fact it changes color

I’ve struggled to find someone to do my hair as it is very difficult for me to trust just anyone with my hair due to factors like hair type, density, and length along with postpartum shedding. Great local business if you're in town and need a quick high quality massage. Amy is very strong and she will know if the pressure is too strong and ask you if it is okay. Did the full body massage and it was very nice and relaxing! Definitely bring cash to avoid the $5 tax fee on credit cards. Parking is located on Grace St behind the business.

Lovely massage with Francesca! I loved how the spa area was completely separate from the gym and had a totally different vibe - very relaxing! You can also use the steam / sauna before or after your massage which was such a nice and unexpected treat! Overall wonderful experience and will definitely return. My only suggestion would be to tell clients at the time of booking about the steam / sauna because I would have arrived earlier if I had known.

I do both lash extensions and nails at JC Lash Bar and both are amazing. The quality of the work is very good, and consistent, they have an amazing attentiont o detail. Booking appointments online is easy, and the salon space is clean and relaxing. They're a great option if you're looking for either nails or lashes (or both!).

I got a navel piercing and a helix piercing done by Marc today—and I’m really happy with the results! He was very pleasant and gentle, answered all my questions, and explained the proper aftercare in detail. He was extremely meticulous when marking the placement for the navel piercing to ensure everything was perfectly aligned. He also helped me choose jewelry and explained everything thoroughly. Overall, I had a great experience. I definitely recommend him!
Probably the most patient place you can go to. I got a full back tattoo here as my first tattoo and I was a shaky mess, lmfao. The guy who tattooed me, Kevin, was very kind to me despite my stupid decision. Made an absolutely gorgeous piece.
I met Susy at the KC tattoo convention and she did my tattoo, based on an picture I showed her for what I wanted, she put her own artistic flair on it and I was floored by how much better it looked than the pic I showed her. the colors are vivid and clear and blend perfectly together and the detail and realism she put into is breath taking and all in just over 1 hour. It looks amazing now and is healing nicely and getting better every day. Her positive energy and confidence from the start is reassuring and the results are great. I would definitely recommend Susy to anyone and my wife now wants the same tattoo so we will be looking her up at next years show.

Ben Aumenta handled our job, everything with our hot water heather replacement job was quick and clear. We had an issue with the exhaust pipe on our previous hot water heater so Ben made sure he could fit us in asap to replace the whole set up. He also noticed that the condensation pipe from our HVAC system was dropped on an angle that would make draining difficult and he propped it up for us even though we hadn't hired him for the HVAC. Great attention to detail and care for the customer, we're really happy. Communication from Aumenta was excellent - email and text notifications when the estimate was scheduled as well as when the install was happening, so we always knew what to expect. We'd definitely recommend them!

I had a leak in my living room coming from a room above. First thing they did when they walked in was to immediately put down a tarp so they wouldn't get anything soiled. As a frequent customer, I always feel like they are a people-centered business, because they patiently listen to me explain the project I want to accomplish and then offer options within my budget and vision. Once, they called me that my order was ready, and upon hearing that I was planning to walk or call an Uber, they just offered to deliver. And they delivered within 10 minutes! Another time, they replaced a box of tile that was broken upon delivery within hours.
As a woman doing construction, I also frequently encounter condescension and sexism frequently in the industry. There was none of that at Standard Tile – just respect, kindness, and shared humanity.

Esteban and his team at SSJ flooring put down our vinyl plank floor in 2023 -beautiful job. We were very happy. Nice finish, easy to keep, looked really good. In 2025 we had a major flood. 6 inches of water everywhere. The maintenance team at the apartment building are still talking about the floor. It held the water. They quickly sucked it up . We put down some fans and all is as good as new. Nothing moved, nothing shifted, no mold has appeared. Esteban came right out and looked it all over. He gave us advice as to how to proceed with the cleanup. He tested the moisture levels for us. We highly recommend the product, the installation and the after care.
We hired Junior and his team to sand and stain the original hardwood floors in our recently purchased home. From start to finish the experience was excellent. Junior was able to come on short notice to give us an estimate and was able to start the work exactly when we needed. His team was efficient, friendly, and tidy. I noticed a lot more dust than normal around my house, so I just made an appointment for an air duct cleaning. The specialist showed me exactly what was within the ducting during the air duct examination and described how it affected indoor air quality and airflow. The service was finished completely, and the improvement was apparent nearly right away. The HVAC system appears to be operating more effectively, and the air feels cleaner. The technician took the time to address all of my inquiries and was kind and professional. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and I would certainly suggest this service to other people.

I have always been PETRIFIED of the dentist. I don’t stay away because I don’t care about my teeth—I stay away because dental care can be financially difficult, even when you have insurance. Unfortunately, that fear and financial stress can cause you to put things off longer than you should. Today, I never once felt judged or embarrassed.
The Dr. Keith Beins, took his time with me, explained everything he was seeing, showed me my X-rays, answered my questions, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire visit. For someone with serious dental anxiety, I cannot explain how much that meant to me.
Before today, I had spent sleepless nights in pain, taking medication that wasn’t giving me relief and becoming increasingly scared and anxious about what could be wrong. I even ended up in the ER because of how bad I was feeling. Today was the first time I finally felt like I had answers and, most importantly, relief.

I switched to Modern Family dentistry a little over a year ago and have found their service superb. Dr. Pico and her husband are both excellent as dentists and provide personalized care. My friend recommended Modern Family Dentistry to me after never having fully settled with a new dentist in Jersey City. They really take an in depth assessment of the teeth via X-rays and measurements. They make suggestions and take time to listen to any concerns. There is never a long wait to be seen. Their team helpfully tell you were to concentrate after each cleaning. For an injection I was offered a tapping distraction technique which was really helpful. I’ve also only recently learned of a new treatment which could really be a confidence booster for something I’ve struggled with regarding my teeth for years. I’m incredibly grateful and optimistic as their patient. I look forward to continuing with their practice. I’m not someone who fears dentists, but I know so many people who struggle to get care. I highly recommend coming here. With either Dr Pico you will be in good hands.

I came to Dr. Kim because of some faulty dental work from my previous dentist. He fixed it within moments and I have been going to him since.
Dr. Kim is very thorough, a man of VERY few words, calm and makes me feel like this is not his first rodeo - which I need as a dentist. His dental tech is SUPER warm, plays good music and is very attentive. They make a great team and work together well when it comes to communication with myself, each other and the dentistry itself.
If I have any questions, Dr. Kim answers it and if I have any concerns, he solves it.
Oh! Not only is he good, he is fast. The fact I know I my appointment will start on time, he will be sitting in his chair within 2-3 minutes after I sit down and them I am out!?!? With HEALTHIER TEETH!?!?! Can't beat it.
The last time I was at his office for fillings, I was not feeling comfortable with a filling, so while I was paying I brought it up. The young lady said "Really?", called him back upstairs. He patently listened, put on gloves and fixed it in 1 minute. He did not try to dismiss my feelings, he was like "Understood" and he fixed it. I am completely satisfied.
In retrospect, I also like the fact that his staff feels comfortable enough to call him from another room to address my concerns. Speaks volumes.

Dr. Patel was friendly, thorough and also told me things I had heard at other offices but then gave me solutions (which the other places just told me the issues and ended it there) and again told me to work with the staff to see what I could get covered.
I ended up being able to get a cleaning during my visit which went well too. Quick and easy cleaning. The whole office was very clean. Left there scheduling myself again, my daughters, going to schedule my husband and whoever else from now on wants a recommendation.

She's a great chiropractor and she's a very warm and caring person, so it was always a positive and helpful experience. I was referred here for chiropractic following a car accident. Dr. Randi is excellent. She's knowledgeable and offered useful insights over the course of the treatment. Her approach is comprehensive. She recommended at-home changes, such as improved sleeping positions and seating posture. In addition, she arranged for the office to provide a therapeutic traction device for regular use. I first came to see Dr. Tejada in 2017 to treat a pinched nerve in my neck. I have had back/neck issues off and on, following a bad car accident at age 17. I was immediately impressed with how knowledgeable Dr. Tejada was by precisely pinpointing my issues both before and after my x-rays. She placed me on the ideal treatment plan which quickly healed my pinched nerve. I continue to see Dr. Tejada for ongoing maintenance/ whenever my neck/back pain resurfaces. As a mother, the possibility of my son having cancer was in the back of my mind. We always think the worst. The swelling on his face was not subsiding, dismissing the chances that it could have been a bee sting, or an allergy to pollen, or a fungus. I did not want to believe. He is a joyful child who loves chasing after cats, squirrels, douchebags, and plunging into the lake at Lincoln Park. On his tush, the hamza is etched to ward off evil eye and...douchebags. He is a rescue, from a terrible family, and landed into my arms like a blessing. So for reassurance, I went to Animal Clinic as they are walking distance from my house. We had the clinic to ourselves as it was a Thursday morning. He got sedated and tests and x rays were made on him. While the cytology came out inconclusive and no metastasis was present anywhere in his body, there was an extremely high chance that it was a tumor and malignant as such due to how fast it was growing. They sent us home with steroids to see if they would work on bringing the swelling down while advising me to make an appointment with an oncologist. There are no vet oncologists in Jersey City. There are no vet specialists for that matter, in Jersey City. So...ok....why am I giving the clinic 5 stars? they allowed my son to rest after the tests and wean off the sedation. He stayed in a room by himself, dozing off the sedatives, until he was able to walk on his own. It took 3 hours for that to happen and I am appreciative for them not to have kicked us out once exams were done. I brought with me my work and carried on my job at the clinic; it was like any other working day, while waiting to be able to walk back home. He woke up, was able to walk and we had a lovely stroll back to our fluffy beds and tushy tickles. Every small gesture of kindness towards my child is worth gold. Didn't matter if the tests were inconclusive and still had to pay for them. They treated my son well and that's all that matters.
Surprised to see anything but 5 stars here. Dr. Buchholz is super knowledgeable and helpful. Even though we moved we will still drive a long distance to see him because we trust his opinion and he provides the best care. Clean clinic, nice staff. The location is a bit annoying get to, but at least there's easy parking (private parking lot) and prices are very fair. Highly recommend!

I've brought both my cats here for treatment and to get their nails done. The staff is super friendly and very empathetic to me and my concerns. I highly recommend this place if you have a pet. I also suggest getting pet insurance and a Care Card for surprise sicknesses. Now a days having this is the best protection against any pop up issues. These are important regardless of where you go.

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ponce and her team! She helped us navigate all the international paperwork and health requirements for our overseas trip with our dog, Montana. The team at Downtown Woody's does an amazing job with our pup. He is generally a bit fearful of noises (like the hair dryer), but they are so kind and patient with him, and he leaves happy and looking great. 100% recommend their services!
Komal is a wonderful teacher. I'm always grateful for the opportunity to attend her classes. She has a kind and calming presence and is attentive to her students, giving us feedback to maintain proper form and alignment. I've also enjoyed attending her reiki workshops. This yoga studio is a unique and invaluable resource to the Journal Square community. I highly recommend taking advantage of it.
Such a Lovely Jersey City studio. The person at the check-in desk was very helpful and welcoming to get me situated for my first class. Since then, I have had two more classes. I am not a fan of hot yoga, so I took two kinds of unheated classes. Both were led by competent instructors who knew their material well and were welcoming and kind. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is that I am not a fan of music during class. Call me old school, but I prefer to be focused on my poses and my breathing and not disturbed by melodies or lyrics. In one class, I actually had to ask her to lower the music because I could not hear her voice. She seem surprised by this and not particularly willing to lower the music for me. I will return, but I am searching for a studio that has more unheated options perhaps with no music at all.

I love going to Salvation Wellness! I have a membership so I either go once a month or go every other month for a longer massage. I have seen multiple therapists and I have always enjoyed my experience. I know that I like a lot of pressure so I went with the recommendations in the bios. I have seen Jay, Robert, Sandra, Nikki, and Carmen. All therapists regardless of gender are incredibly professional and make sure that I am comfortable. Would 100% recommend!

I’ve been going to NJ Acu for acupuncture and massages for years…and I can’t say enough nice things. The staff is warm and friendly. The treatments are top notch. The facility has more of a doctor’s office feel and less of a holistic center appeal. But it’s still fab!! Oh and they take insurance.
This review is long overdue! I had no prior experience with traditional Chinese medicine or acupuncture when I started seeing Erin over two years ago for severe back pain. Not only did she help me manage my back pain, she has also helped me with allergies, sickness symptoms, perimenopause symptoms… even grief when my dog passed. In addition to helping me medically and treating her patients with compassion and care, Erin is an extraordinary human who contributes so much to the community. She is fabulous at what she does, and she does it all with heart. Highly recommend!!

My driving instructor was Ricardo and i don’t think anybody else could have prepared me more! He is punctual and you can tell he really cares about his students. I passed my road test thanks to his preparation! The driving school in all does a good job making sure its students leave with a license, my only complaint is there receptionist who calls the students is passive aggressive and overbearing.
