Family Fitness Karate & Kickboxing - Downtown Jersey City
“The first rule of Fight Club is: You do not talk about Fight Club.
But some secrets are too good to keep.
Family Fitness Karate in downtown Jersey City has become a quiet anchor in our week - a place where my two children are learning discipline, focus, and a kind of strength that isn’t loud but runs deep. Master Mike and every instructor carry themselves with grace, patience, and an understanding of how to guide kids not just in kicks and forms, but in life.
Fridays are special. Sparring night feels like something out of a storybook - electric, mysterious, full of energy and unspoken respect. And the Demo Team practices? Like being invited into a secret society, one where everyone bows in and belongs.
I’ve seen real change in my kids: more confidence, more calm, and a spark in their eyes that tells me they know they’re growing. Watching Petra bow to Master Mike as she received her belt - there was something quietly beautiful and deeply respectful in that moment.
I wasn’t going to say anything. But here I am, breaking the first rule. And I would do it again.”
