I came in today in severe pain after calling other dental offices that would not see me because I didn’t have the copay available that day. Baines Family Dental didn’t turn me away. They got me right in, treated me with kindness, and helped me when I genuinely needed it.

From Cat at the front desk, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming, to the dental assistant, who I believe was Sandra, everyone made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked through the door.

I have always been PETRIFIED of the dentist. I don’t stay away because I don’t care about my teeth—I stay away because dental care can be financially difficult, even when you have insurance. Unfortunately, that fear and financial stress can cause you to put things off longer than you should. Today, I never once felt judged or embarrassed.

The Dr. Keith Beins, took his time with me, explained everything he was seeing, showed me my X-rays, answered my questions, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire visit. For someone with serious dental anxiety, I cannot explain how much that meant to me.

Before today, I had spent sleepless nights in pain, taking medication that wasn’t giving me relief and becoming increasingly scared and anxious about what could be wrong. I even ended up in the ER because of how bad I was feeling. Today was the first time I finally felt like I had answers and, most importantly, relief.

What could have been another frightening dental experience turned into one of the most reassuring experiences I’ve ever had at a dentist.

Thank you, Baines Family Dental, for seeing me when I needed help, for treating me like a person and not a payment, and for making someone who has been terrified of dentists feel safe in that chair.

“I switched to Modern Family dentistry a little over a year ago and have found their service superb. Dr. Pico and her husband are both excellent as dentists and provide personalized care. My friend recommended Modern Family Dentistry to me after never having fully settled with a new dentist in Jersey City. They really take an in depth assessment of the teeth via X-rays and measurements. They make suggestions and take time to listen to any concerns. There is never a long wait to be seen. Their team helpfully tell you were to concentrate after each cleaning. For an injection I was offered a tapping distraction technique which was really helpful. I’ve also only recently learned of a new treatment which could really be a confidence booster for something I’ve struggled with regarding my teeth for years. I’m incredibly grateful and optimistic as their patient. I look forward to continuing with their practice. I’m not someone who fears dentists, but I know so many people who struggle to get care. I highly recommend coming here. With either Dr Pico you will be in good hands.“

“What a great experience. The front desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They let me know things about my plan’s coverages that no other office bothered to explain and how to maximize my visits and savings.

Dr. Patel was friendly, thorough and also told me things I had heard at other offices but then gave me solutions (which the other places just told me the issues and ended it there) and again told me to work with the staff to see what I could get covered.

I ended up being able to get a cleaning during my visit which went well too. Quick and easy cleaning. The whole office was very clean. Left there scheduling myself again, my daughters, going to schedule my husband and whoever else from now on wants a recommendation.“

Dr. Kim hired people who are not only good at their job(s), but genuinely caring people. Kudos.

Front desk people set the tone of an office, and for a dental office - having warm people greet and take care of you is very important. Even my reminder call is considerate, professional and not rushed at all.

Five stars when it comes to Dr. Kim's professional and friendly staff.

I came to Dr. Kim because of some faulty dental work from my previous dentist. He fixed it within moments and I have been going to him since.

Dr. Kim is very thorough, a man of VERY few words, calm and makes me feel like this is not his first rodeo - which I need as a dentist. His dental tech is SUPER warm, plays good music and is very attentive. They make a great team and work together well when it comes to communication with myself, each other and the dentistry itself.
If I have any questions, Dr. Kim answers it and if I have any concerns, he solves it.

Oh! Not only is he good, he is fast. The fact I know I my appointment will start on time, he will be sitting in his chair within 2-3 minutes after I sit down and them I am out!?!? With HEALTHIER TEETH!?!?! Can't beat it.

The last time I was at his office for fillings, I was not feeling comfortable with a filling, so while I was paying I brought it up. The young lady said "Really?", called him back upstairs. He patently listened, put on gloves and fixed it in 1 minute. He did not try to dismiss my feelings, he was like "Understood" and he fixed it. I am completely satisfied.

In retrospect, I also like the fact that his staff feels comfortable enough to call him from another room to address my concerns. Speaks volumes.

“Everyone in this office was welcoming and professional. I had a root canal and cleaning. Dr Rickerby was attentive and explained the procedure in a way I could easily understand.He also provided detailed information on routine care and other procedures that would help maintain my smile. I experienced little to no pain during the procedures which is a testament to how knowledgeable and experienced Dr. Rickerby and the dental assistants are in their profession. The dental hygienist did an amazing job cleaning my teeth. The office is clean and fairly large. I would highly recommend Journal Square Dental for all your dental needs and care.“
