She was able to repair my snapped anklet chain as well as replace the magnets on my belly chain with a lobster clasp quickly, efficiently, and very affordably! Got body work done and felt the difference. My lower back felt great afterward and the massage entailed various body systems. She explained everything she was doing and afterward showed me a lil body diagram and showed me where I needed work. The space is very clean and nice. Highly recommend
Sarah is an amazing massage therapist. Whether you're looking for a relaxing session or a recovery massage after pushing your body hard in the gym, she is your person. She's great at finding the right level of pressure and stimulation both through her own feeling and by listening to the patient. She has a deep knowledge of the body and how different muscles interact with each other, which allows her to work on the right muscle even when the issue manifests itself elsewhere. Couldn't recommend her more!
Amazing massages from all the masseuses especially Bébé. Worth the slightly higher prices than nearby competitors because the quality is easily 10 times as high. I'm only on my 2nd visit and I've already made them a weekly event.

I trust her to keep things the same when it's working and help me figure out how to switch it up when it's time for a change. I'm not a hair stylist, so I really appreciate Farzaneh's ability to talk through what's possible and realistic to expect for my hair type (and my preference for low-maintenance daily styling). She has recently opened up appointments earlier in the day (7 a.m. on some weekdays!) which is perfect for my work schedule. Her salon is so relaxing and private with space for one client at a time, and I love getting my hair done with a view of the little garden area outside. Great hair, great company, and a haircut experience that feels more like a self-care ritual than just checking a box on my to-do list.
Priscila has been dying my hair for over a year now. When I bring a reference photo to show her, the finished product is even better than the photo. Elmer was my barber a few days ago. he gave me a great skin fade with a little more on top and a beard trim. I was a little nervous at first but he used all of his skills and gave a great cut. he listened and didn't take too much off of my beard which is a few inches long and gave it a great shape that fit my face well.
Elmer also was a great conversationalist but also knew when to let conversation go and let you enjoy the cut he was providing. It was well worth the $60 plus tip for a good beard trim and shape with a great hair cut as well.

I was almost not going to get a pedicure while visiting Santa Cruz but I’m so glad I came to Tropical nails! I can’t express enough how amazing my pedicure was. I really appreciate how much time and detail and precision went into just the prep of the nails before getting painted. I felt so relaxed and taken care of and got to leave with a beautiful pedicure. I wish I lived here to be able to give them my regular business but I will definitely come back when I come to visit again. Very sweet people and an amazing job❤️

I got the couple's massage with hot tub session. Massage was more of therputic rather than deep tissue or any other. The tempo is slow and claming, the water sounds from the fountain outdoor makes the entire environment very relaxing. Hot tub area is private and outdoor. Entire place is private and has sauna and shower area as well. After massage, you're directed to the hot tub area and get to enjoy the time in the hot tub. Teas and robs and towels are included.

My sister and I were in Santa Cruz last minute for our father’s passing and had to spend a day in town while we waited to bring him home to Washington. While property management dragged their feet for almost 3 WEEKS on approving an EMERGENCY situation, I was always in constant contact with Brad's (thank you Lucy!!!!) and they were so helpful, understanding, and actually cared that I was dealing with an emergency. Scheduling an emergency response was quick. Plumber Lupe arrived within 20 minutes, identified the problem, and explained what he would do, and what materials were needed, at every step. When I thought we would be without water for a couple of days, Lupe was able to fix the problem in a few hours. He was very friendly and was kind to a senior woman who knows nothing about plumbing.
The technician from Santa Cruz HVAC Services was very thorough and professional. He diagnosed the problem fast and repaired it properly. The system is running perfectly now.

Our home's electricity went out at 8pm on Friday night and none of the local 24/7 electricians were even answering their phone. I was very grateful that the people at Alpha Omega answered the phone, and then came out right away. The technician drove quite a long way, was friendly, efficient and did what needed to be done. What more could you ask for?

We had an electrical emergency on a Friday at 4pm. I called Pleasure Point Electric out of the blue based on reviews here. David took the call and after I explained the circumstances, assured me he would take care of the matter immediately by calling PG&E and sending Carlos out to investigate the issue. It would have been very easy after a long week to let the late Friday afternoon call go to voicemail and handle it on Monday, leaving us to worry about the issue all weekend.Carlos arrived within 15 minutes, investigated the issue, ensured everything was safe, and referred the matter to David, who provided a quote on Monday to replace the entire electrical panel and obtain all permits on our behalf. He reassured us that all would be fine. Once the permits were secured, the Pleasure Point Electric team arrived, installed the new panel, coordinated with PG&E to restore power, and obtained the City permit with no issues. This company is a fine example of a local business that operates professionally with honesty, integrity, and fair pricing. The work was spot on and David and his team were very professional and personable. We are grateful to have found Pleasure Point Electric and highly recommend them.

Great cleaning job for a large home we’re selling. Kitchen cabinets and floor look new! Bathrooms are amazing! All nooks and crannies cleaned. Doorknobs look great. Old aluminum window bottom guides that accumulated dirt over the years were thoroughly cleaned. Lights cleaned perfectly. Fireplaces look great. I was looking for a hard to find fruit tree and was referred to Orchard Keepers. I reached out and got a quick response. We had a phone call and exchanged several emails. They helped me find what I was looking for, gave me a reasonable quote, then came and installed my tree for me in my back yard. The person that did the work at my house , JP, was on time, knew what to do, answered my questions, gave me the info I needed on caring for my trees going forward, cleaned up after himself and just like that I am good to go. Again I am impressed by the whole experience. A quote was provided based on some short videos I sent of the trees. Based on the quote I booked the pruning service. Liam arrived at the scheduled time confirmed what was to be accomplished and set to it. He worked wonders with our trees especially given the condition they were in.
Liam answered my questions and helped to educate me on how to care for the trees going forward. A follow up email detailing the service, findings and recommendations for future care arrived a day or two later.
So happy to find local experts that provide excellent service at a reasonable price.

So, this was the most easy-peasy experience I think I've ever had. I called and left a message late in the day, got a call back the same early evening, David went out to the house to look at the issue the next morning without us even having to be there, and I called the office that afternoon and paid over the phone! Ridiculous! And I mean that in the good way... we hadn't even moved in yet, so this was fantastic! I don't have enough words for the levels of customer service and courtesy and general greatness that Cardiff delivered through David, and I sure as heck know who I'm calling if I have any issues in the future. I had some questions about planting a garden over a septic drain field and was referred to Biosphere Consulting. I called Andrew and he spent almost 15 minutes listening to me and answering my questions one by one. His patience and helpfulness are very much appreciated, and if we ever have a need to hire someone for help with our septic system we know who we will call!

I definitely would recommend Black Diamond for your hardscape project. David Emmons did an excellent job helping me with designing the layout for the pavers in my backyard. He made sure that all of my design needs were met and made sure that I understood the entire process for each step of the installation. He was incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns that I had and responded quickly to resolve any issues that came up. Arturo and the guys that helped him did a really good job installing the pavers, they're extremely good at their craft. They did the work fast and it looks beautiful! Cannot say enough GREAT things about the design and construction of my new large koi pond. We had a pond for 20 years and because of the design, tree roots were able to grow through and cause huge leaks. I was referred by a local koi expert (Rick Blazo) to the owner of Pond Magic, Esau as the best designer. He built a beautiful Oasis for my koi. It is truly a stunning landscape architecture master piece. Beautiful lighting, plants, stonework. The neighbors are convinced we have a natural spring in our front years! It’s also predator proof. His employees were respectful, kind, quiet (no loud music) and we were able to have guests in our air bnb without interruption! This was even with a back hoe, 10 foot hole, large rock delivery etc. AMAZING COMPANY! We have worked with 4 other Koi Pond design/maintenance companies (at least) and POND MAGIC hit it out of the park!!! Amazing service and STUNNING results.

My son had his first visit with Dr. Porter yesterday for a routine cleaning and to check on a wiggly tooth that just won’t let go. The dental hygienist keeps up with the new products and recommends the best brushes etc and explains why one brush is superior to the other. Out of all hygienists I have seen, she is the most devoted to the field.

OMG! I came to this dentist because I was having excruciating dental pain due to a crown that had not been shaped properly at my former provider. I was literally BAWLING the night before and needed to go to ER because of how bad the pain was.I called Five Gables the next morning, and by a stroke of luck, they squeezed me in same-day. They reshaped the crown for me, and I kid you not, I feel SO MUCH BETTER AFTER 3 DAYS! I'm so mad I didn't come here sooner! I dont wanna unalive myself anymore! My 80+ year-old Dad's life has been changed by Dr. Chris' regime of physical therapy and home exercises.
Over the past fifty years, Dad has had other Physical Therapists but none that resulted in him following through with the home exercises.
Discussing this as a family, we think it is partly because Dr Chris sent him home with adult-type exercises involving apparatuses used for resistance and body weight exercises at his office sessions. The other piece is that he greatly enjoys how Dr. Chris works out with him.
Dr. Chris gave him a pulley system that hooked to a closed door and two types of bands. These are Dad's to keep.
Also included is a website login that Dad uses to log his reps. The site shows videos of all the exercises he has been assigned to do that week.
Everyone at the office has been warm, kind, and upbeat. My parents love the vibe.

I’m feeling amazing after my first appointment with Dr. Tom Smith! I had been seeing another chiropractor in Capitola for cervical reverse lordosis and scoliosis, but the appointments felt rushed, and I was actually feeling worse after each visit. That’s when I decided to get a second opinion and met Dr. Tom Smith, who, to my surprise, turned out to be my childhood chiropractor!
Dr. Smith took his time with my evaluation, carefully explaining my X-rays and reassuring me that my scoliosis is extremely slight and my spine looks healthy. He didn’t think I needed any adjustments at all! Instead, he prescribed a couple of exercises to strengthen my posture, especially in my neck and shoulder muscles, and suggested I gradually work into lifting weights. No follow-up appointments needed!

Dr. Kuty is not just a vet. She's an angel. When our little doggie suddenly went into crisis and we knew it was time, Dr. Kuty was able to come out within a couple of hours. She was so kind and patient with us. She talked us through everything. Her sensitivity and empathy were notable...she looked so sad, almost as though she felt the pain right along with us.
Her services didn't stop when our baby had stopped breathing. She patiently waited and let our other dog say goodbye to her. She let us walk out to the car with her, carrying Chica in a little bed. She gave us all hugs.
Later that day, I received a lovely text from Dr. Kuty. The next day, I received a sweet email. And the day after that, she sent a beautiful card in the mail.
Losing a dog is difficult. Dr. Kuty lessened that stress by helping our doggie die in the comfort of her home with her people and her brother around her.

As a first-time cat parent navigating the learning curve with my kitten, Ozzy, Marc and Christine were the perfect fit for us. Ozzy suffers from motion sickness, making car rides challenging, but Marc and Christine provided thoughtful solutions and medication to ease his symptoms. I've been attending level 1-2 classes with Maya Lev at the Yoga Center for the past year. Classes currently take place at the Vet's Hall in a spacious warm room with high ceilings and a quintessential Santa Cruz vibe overlooking Front St. Maya is a gem and a master teacher and I am so glad to discover her. Here's what I love about Maya: She has a deep knowledge and embodied understanding of Iyengar Yoga, anatomy, and human movement that consistently comes forth in her teaching. Each class is artfully crafted, with a progressive flow that ends with the whole body feeling completely stretched, worked out, lengthened, and strengthened. Maya has an exquisite verbal teaching style that allows students to move from one asana to another with clarity and precision about what to do, pay attention to, and feel. Students can drop deeply into their own bodily experience and are not required to frequently stop their practice to watch or copy a teacher. When she does demonstrate, which is not even in every class, it's to show specific details about a pose to help students understand how to refine their approach, and it's always very useful, like an "aha." Maya seamlessly instructs both students in the room and on Zoom in a hybrid way that truly works - with dual attention to each population that does not distract from the other. She teaches both groups while moving around the room making hands-on adjustments that give gentle yet clear and firm guidance. What an art! Maya always brings a meditative spiritual quality to each class, and she's down-to-earth and funny too - a great combination! As a Feldenkrais Method® movement teacher of 30 years and a person with many previous injuries and limitations who needs a really good teacher, I truly appreciate and feel safe with the master level of Maya's teaching. We are lucky to have Maya and the other excellent instructors at YCSC.
Before starting practicing at village yoga, I was hampered with Achilles and plantar fascists injuries. Four months later, I am pain free and able to play the sports I love. I've been to a couple of different yoga studios in the Santa Cruz area and I can confidently say this is the best studio by far. All of the instructors are great especially Amy, Michael, Sally and Laura. They make you feel very comfortable and want to help you fully express yourself in your yoga practice journey. I strongly suggest Village Yoga to people of all ages not only in pursuit of a exercise journey but a mental and spiritual one as well. Thank you to all of the instructors who have helped change my life for the better.
I had a great experience doing mixed flow and slow flow yoga classes here. Their space is beautiful and the staff is knowledgable and welcoming.
I haven’t taken any yoga classes here but the yoga place owner was extremely nice and helpful to me. I had a bike accident nearby in the parking lot, and the owner was about to leave. She saw me and offered to let me sit in her office and clean my wound. She also got me bandaid and gave me space. I really appreciate her help!
Awesome Thai massage. Was able to do a couples massage with same-day appointment. Very clean and pretty inside and great technique. Would come every month if I lived closer!

Sarah is an amazing massage therapist. Whether you're looking for a relaxing session or a recovery massage after pushing your body hard in the gym, she is your person. She's great at finding the right level of pressure and stimulation both through her own feeling and by listening to the patient. She has a deep knowledge of the body and how different muscles interact with each other, which allows her to work on the right muscle even when the issue manifests itself elsewhere. Couldn't recommend her more!

Sam is welcoming, beginner friendly and challenging, body positive, and extremely knowledgeable. I have a pre existing injury and have been nervous to exercise with it, but after a month of classes my shoulder is so much better. Highly recommend this class! Serina was amazing, the only reason I had to stop seeing her was because my insurance changed otherwise I would have continued forever! She is extremely knowledgable and kind, and her work immensely improved my injuries I came in with along with helping other things such as stress, skin and gut issues. I have been seeing Jordan for about 3 years, it is the best Accupuncture experience I’ve ever had! I am someone who is interested in health and already a believer in Chinese medicine - but Jordan has a particular approach that is very unique. I’m the beginning he was treating my neck pain after a serious car accident… but the appointments have evolved into overall health and general well being. If anything is off in my body (digestion, emotional imbalance, aches / pains, etc) I know he can at least make it better if not gone. Thank you Jordan! I am very grateful for the work you do :)
I found christina when my health insurance changed and I had to change my acupuncturist of 10+ years. It turned out to be an amazing gift --- christinas treatments have helped me manage ongoing overuse injuries from yoga and other active lifestyle pains, while also supporting my immune system and mental health. I recommend christina to anyone going through a period of personal or physical transition, as she makes me feel cared for as her patient. Ive learned a lot from christina as well about various nutritional causes of imbalance or nutritional opportunities for healing.
She is also extremeeeeely careful with the acupuncture needles. She takes her time to place them slowly and with care, so id also recommend her to anyone with needle sensitivity. Just communicate your needs clearly and christina is there to help!
It is impossible to overstate the love and gratitude I have for Kate. I am so glad I finally decided to try acupuncture to assist with fertility. And Kate soon became my first line of defense when I was feeling off through my pregnancy and postpartum. Kate is a miracle worker and has a down to earth approach for optimal health. She has helped me with digestion issues, carpal tunnel, fertility, stress and pain. There is nothing she can not help with. Kate is very calm, professional, intelligent and caring. I’ve been seeing Lauren a few years. She has helped me thru many different difficulties. I recently tried the facial acupuncture and after 2 sessions I’m extremely pleased with results on my brow frown lines. The reflex massage is a bonus that leaves you on cloud nine. I highly recommend her and all of her services. She works on my grandson ( 10yrs) as well for his high energy and lack of focus. it’s amazing what we see after the sessions.
