“My former hairstylist had left town, and I went to go see another stylist to touch up my layers. That stylist unfortunately did not do a good job. I had chunks of hair rather than layers blended into one another, so much weight taken off some pieces that the hair was sticking up, and uneven layers on each sides. Oddly, some layers were not even taken all the way around my head—they just kind of stopped. It was truly the worst haircut I had ever gotten and also the most expensive. (Side note: do not go see William at Queen hair salon.)

After this haircut catastrophe, I looked for a salon that would be able to fix it. I wanted an inclusive and kind environment and a stylist skilled with wavy hair. I called the Nook and got referred to Myra, who fit me in the same day.

Myra worked miracles and was extremely kind and positive. She asked for feedback at many points in the process and made small tweaks that made the cut really work for me. The other stylist did some damage to my hair that will take a while to grow out, but Myra disguised most of it and gave me a beautiful and unique cut.
