He was immediately at ease in the office waiting area and gave the games “two thumbs up!” The office is clean and very welcoming. The staff were all warm and friendly and took the time to greet us by name, and made us feel like long time clients! Dr. Porter was so friendly and explained everything to both my son and myself in easy to understand language that didn’t feel overwhelming or confusing at all. “Got in to see Dr Cheng on short notice to check a crack in one of my teeth. He tested in several ways to insure the health of the test. I left with a big smile on my face knowing exactly what to watch for and how to protect my tooth. He’s so thorough and thoughtful. “Amazing dentist! I have been going to Dr. Curtis since she began her practice in Santa Cruz after my previous dentist retired and she took over. What a blessing and a true gift (thanks for retiring previous dentist ?)!!!
Dr. Curtis takes her time and explains things until you feel 100% comfortable with the procedure. She is extremely intelligent and knows all of the developments in dental technology. Dr. Curtis is the queen of cosmetic procedures and matches color perfectly. I love her dental assistant-they make a great team!
The dental hygienist keeps up with the new products and recommends the best brushes etc and explains why one brush is superior to the other. Out of all hygienists I have seen, she is the most devoted to the field.

“OMG! I came to this dentist because I was having excruciating dental pain due to a crown that had not been shaped properly at my former provider. I was literally BAWLING the night before and needed to go to ER because of how bad the pain was.I called Five Gables the next morning, and by a stroke of luck, they squeezed me in same-day. They reshaped the crown for me, and I kid you not, I feel SO MUCH BETTER AFTER 3 DAYS! I'm so mad I didn't come here sooner! I dont wanna unalive myself anymore! They're the nicest people I've met since moving to Santa Cruz a few months ago. I'm very happy with my experience and have now encouraged my partner to become a regular patient with them too!!!Thanks so much“
