I brought my elderly (92 years old) mother to Kim's for a haircut before a family event. Kim was a model of efficiency (between hair washing and the cut, it was only a half-hour) and cheerfulness. And she cut my mother's hair beautifully; I gave Kim a picture to work from and the cut was shaped perfectly. My mother was so pleased with the result. We will definitely be returning, and recommend her highly.

Went in for a taper today and Kenan killed it as usual. I showed him an inspiration pic and he instantly understood the look, then took his time and spent over an hour making sure everything was clean and precise. The fade and blend are flawless—no rushing, just pure attention to detail. Easily one of the best barbers out there. If you want a consistent, top-tier cut every time, he’s the guy.

The owner cut my hair and they’re really skilled. The salon is family-owned and in a super convenient location. I think it might be the only Japanese salon in Burnaby, which is amazing because I used to drive all the way to Richmond for haircuts. This is definitely my new go-to
Theresa gave me such a great cut. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she cut it perfectly. She knows asian hair. Quick and professional; she’s been cutting hair for decades. There was even a walk-in client before me who had a perm done. I don’t know what her hair looked like before but the perm looked amazing and like it was natural. Theresa has SKILLS! Unfortunately, when you go to book online, her name isn’t on the list of options. It should be.

I can’t say enough about Meraki & Michelle!! I was referred to Michelle through a colleague of mine when I was going through eyebrow laser removal. The removal process was almost a two year draining process for me & the moment I meant with Michelle for an eyebrow mapping consult, I knew she was the one I would entrust with my eyebrows. She discusses in full detail the step by step process as far as the types of brows (nano, micro blading, etc), what would work for you & what you are looking for (the shape, colour, whether you want a more natural brow, etc). I knew l wanted to go with the nano brows & that Michelle was the artist I wanted to go with, but in between my consult and appointment, I got anxious, so she kindly had me come into the studio to talk and we decided I’d wait a little longer! She made me feel so comfortable in my decision to do it when I was ready! I admire her for that.

She puts her whole heart into what she does ~~ no shortcuts. The staff are all kind as well, from the receptionist to Lily who has treated me multiple times. My scars are pretty deep and old, but after three microneedling sessions and one Morpheus treatment, I’m finally starting to see a difference. I actually have hope now lol. I recently had a drainage issue that was causing a persistent gurgling sound, and Andrew from Pristine Plumbing did an excellent job resolving it. He arrived right on time and was professional and courteous throughout the entire visit.
Since I was working from home, Andrew was very considerate and let me know that I didn't need to be around while he worked if I needed to focus on my job. After a couple of hours, he had identified and fixed the problem. Not only is the gurgling sound completely gone, but the sink is now draining better than it ever has before.
I was impressed by Andrew's professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail. He made sure everything was cleaned up before he left and was very careful not to damage anything in our home.

He was on-time, professional, and took care of my problems without any hassle. I love that they will come and do the assessment for free (so many companies I called will charge $$ just to come) and gives you very reasonable pricing, which you approve, before doing the job.
I had a broken garburator and problems with hot water not coming out of my kitchen sink and Damien came and took care of everything in less than 2 hours.

I had a disastrous leak in my suite while I was away on holiday that affected five of my neighbours, two common hallways and multiple ceilings and walls. I organized a replacement toilet through Urban - taking time out of my vacation from 10, 000 kilometres away - to ensure I had a working toilet upon my return home. One of the owners, Carmine, and his business partner were out of town and some balls were dropped. The plumber was essentially a no show - this was not a window replacement, or flooring - this was a life necessity. I could have left a crap Google review, however I contacted Carmine with an email explaining what happened and my disappointment. He STEPPED UP right away, sent me an email apologizing and taking responsibility and ownership of mistakes that were made. HUGE respect for his accountability in this instance. Highly recommend giving your hard earned dollars and trust in Urban Plumbing and Heating after this incident. I have to do a renovation in my apartment and I know that Carmine Zuzolo will go out of his way to make sure it’s done right. In a world of very little accountability? Carmine showed integrity and professionalism. BIG kudos to him.

I called regarding a leak in my toilet. Mike returned my call promptly and gave an assessment and price range over the phone, taking care to walk me through likely steps. For my appointment, he showed up right on time, and was thorough with both the toilet repair and cleaning up the area afterwards. After fixing the leak, he also inspected all other parts of the toilet for necessary adjustments. He also answered my questions about my sink and water boiler, educating me in his responses.
Overall he was knowledgable, professional, and very pleasant. His rates were also very fair, and matched his initial phone quote. Will definitely be calling him again next time I need a repair.

I have to admit I wasn’t sure what we were in for as it had to be done throughout our building and each suite but I got a say with Cory the foreman at the helm with all his organizational skills and professionalism and to all his incredible professional staff just made this project seem seemless.
They were so respectful as they did such an incredible job in my suite that I’m actually going to miss them in our building.

I called on Saturday afternoon and spoke with Patrick. We had two old-style florescent light fixtures in a storage room. The light bulbs were dead and are no longer made. Patrick asked me to send him a photo. He texted me back 5 minutes later with a solution suggestion and a photo of it from Home Depot. It looked good to me. I told him that there was no rush but asked when he might be able to do the job for me. He did it THE NEXT DAY!! The price was good and the job well done. From the start of the project to the final delivery, it was truly a pleasure working with them. Our bathroom renovation was relatively straightforward, but the Image to Reality team took every opportunity to make sure the details were just right. They helped us choose tiles, the bathtub, fixtures, and fittings, and they took the time to ensure we were completely happy with every decision.
The tradespeople they brought in for specialty work, like tiling, were incredible. They often worked overtime to help move the project along since we only have one bathroom in the house. The quality of the installation, the attention to detail, the cleanliness, and the final finish were all excellent.
What impressed me most about the team was their communication. Almost every day I received updates about what was happening, when things would be completed, and any potential delays we might expect. That level of transparency made the whole process much easier and less stressful.
I’d also like to thank them for going above and beyond with a few small things around the house. For example, they noticed that one of my doors wasn’t hanging properly and offered to fix it while they were already there. I don’t have many tools, so I really appreciated them taking the time to sort that out quickly, and they didn’t even charge for it.
When we first received quotes for the project, Image to Reality came in right in the middle price-wise. Their pricing was very fair and in line with the industry. Ultimately, the reason we chose them was because of their excellent communication from the beginning, the collaborative approach, and the genuine sense that we were working directly with owners who truly cared about making sure our project was a success.
I honestly can’t wait until we have more renovations to do around the house because they will be the first people I call. I have no hesitation recommending them and I’m confident they’ll continue doing amazing projects in the future.

Over the spring, the grass and surrounding plants at the centre grew incredibly fast and before we knew it they became unmanageable.
I reached out to Cody at Para Space Landscaping and explained the situation. He was very open to the idea of helping us out and very quickly was able to detail a technician to assist us.
James arrived on site and did a fantastic job getting the bulk of the grass and the out of control plants back under control, to the point where our volunteers can manage the lawn care again.
Para Space Landscaping is a great corporate citizen and the BC SPCA is very appreciative of their contribution of time, equipment and personnel to assist us.

Today my buddy left his lights on while at the gym. Dead battery! Neither of us had jumper cables, so we asked the guys working for Contour Landscaping if they had jumper cables. They did, and they were more than happy to assist my buddy get his car started. These guys working very hard for hours already tending to the maintenance of a local Langley property had no issues helping out. They were doing a great job and the landscaping looked fantastic. Contour Landscaping obviously does a great job of looking after their employees and it reflects in the attitude of their staff. Thanks guys for helping out.

I am a bit of a Chiropractor snob. I have had a few amazing chiropractors over the last 30 years, including one in Northern Cal that I would drive 90 minutes to see. I have had several that were not great. Dr. Calvin Cheung is by far one of the BEST! He listens to issues (I have a lot) and uses unique techniques to get my body right. I have only been seeing him since August, but he helped alleviate intense pain in my lower back, sprained ankle and TMJ.

had the 50-minute Signature Flow Massage last Sunday and it was excellent. My therapist - Shahana was very professional and attentive. I was dealing with neck and lower back pain, and the massage really helped release the tension. The Tiger Balm Genius Relief also felt amazing and gave great relief. I have been visiting Burnaby North Massage Therapy for over a decade now. John has been my primary RMT and I wouldn't have come back if it wasn't for his services as well as his teams.
They are all professional, knowledgeable, and at the worst times when I needed therapy - they were there for me doing their best to accommodate me.
They've modernized over the years and have adopted using an online booking system.
This is one of the busiest RMT places in Burnaby for a good reason - because they are great at what they do.

Minna is the absolute best. I went there with severe nasal congestion and corresponding headaches. Tried a few different nasal sprays and antihistamines, nothing worked.
Minna suggested a lymphatic draining massage and cupping and it worked. My congestion reduced considerably and I was able to sleep without any headaches. Highly recommend.

I came to Dr. Tai after being diagnosed with gastritis by my family doctor. I was dealing with upper stomach pain, no appetite, and nausea after every meal — basically surviving on congee and plain rice. My family doctor prescribed a month of PPI, which helped, but I wanted to get off it sooner given the side effects, so I explored TCM as a complement.
After just the first acupuncture and herbal treatment with Dr. Tai, I felt noticeably better. The stomach pain dropped significantly within days, my appetite came back within a week, and the nausea was gone. By my third visit, I was completely off PPI and eating a normal variety of food without any issues.
What made the experience even better was the staff — friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout. Highly recommend Dr. Tai if you're dealing with digestive issues and want a treatment that actually works.
Yesterday, I’ve tried IV booster for the first time to treat my chronic pain. Frankly, I hadn’t expected it’d do much and just wanted to try since it’s covered by my company benefits. But omg, I felt so awake and energetic today. The pain is still there, but my energy level is noticeably different. I strongly recommend trying the IV injection, especially to people who feel tired all the time.

I highly recommend Ish as a driving instructor! He is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and knows exactly which areas you need to improve. From the very beginning, he was honest about how many lessons I would realistically need to be ready for the road test.
He shares so many practical tips and tricks that you won't easily find elsewhere, and his teaching style makes you feel more confident behind the wheel with every lesson.
Even though I had to take my road test twice, that doesn't take away from the quality of his instruction. My first test wasn't really within my control, a reckless driver suddenly cut me off, which unfortunately affected the outcome. Ish helped me stay positive, reviewed what happened, and made sure I was even better prepared for my second attempt.

Great experience with this driving school! I took the class 3 standard transmission 32hr package. In all seriousness, I went from knowing nothing to getting through my exam.
