I would have given the salon a 5 star if it is not for Miki, who is one of the staff working there. She is very rude and negative. Rude when talking to customers and also talks gossip about her neighbour loudly in the salon, which really ruined the experience. She also has her own idea of how she wants the nails done and when customers have concerns, she will just rudely say she knows what she is doing! I love getting my nails done at koko nails with Angela. She works so hard at making the shapes even and clean. Having long nails, I am impressed how fast Angela works well checking in periodically to make sure that I’m happy. Im not very picky when it comes to color, but I love that Angela gives me suggestions on what she thinks will look good based on what she knows about me being her regular, and how I like my nails. For example, I did a French ombre set for a wedding and said suggested adding sparkles, I was hesitant, but seeing it on the 1 nail I was OBSESSED. I always had such a wonderful experience at koko. Their online booking system makes it very easy to structure my maintenance.

Mauve Hair Salon just recently opened up in Burnaby area, and I am so thrilled. I have been wanting to book for a haircut for quite some time, but their Richmond location is way too busy.Finally, I have decided to hit the new Burnaby location up, and it did not disappoint. I came in early, got sitted and waited for my stylist to come. This place has no free parking available, but they have plenty of street parking. The rate is $3 per hour. Miyo was my hairstylist and she took a really good care of my hair. Before she started cutting my hair, she asked my preferences; such as my habit (how I style my hair or if I just uses hairdryer, my plan (growing hair), and what kind of style I want to go for. Then she started cutting, and after she cut my hair half way, she asked me to move to the washer station to wash my hair. Once I got seated, she gave me a blanket to cover my legs. She covered the back side of shirt around the neck area with plastic wrapper and some towels to make sure the water did wet the shirt. Afterwards, she setup my chair and the foot rest. Then she also gave me a cover for my eyes. While she was washing, she also gave out some massages. It was such a relaxing moment. After, we were done washing, I got seated back to the haircut seating area, and she begun drying my hair. After drying my hair, she started cutting my hair again more carefully this time, especially the bangs area. She took a great care of my bangs, and I loved my overall looks. After she is done, she gave me suggestions on how to style my hair with the new haircut. After paying, I got escorted out by her. Overall, I would recommend Miyo, she went above and beyond with her services.

Some places are like a best kept secret. HWE hair salon is like that. Rock is a true gem. I don’t live close to the salon anymore but I will take on any inconvenience necessary to get my regular haircut from him. The amount of attention and effort he puts into my relatively simple and straightforward cut really shows the amount of skill and love he puts into his work.

Took our 7 year old daughter to get her ears pierced at Geronimo with Staci and Lakota today. They explained the aftercare instructions very well, mentally prepared our daughter for the procedure and got the piercing done quick, professionally and pain free. My daughter said it didn’t hurt, and she normally have meltdowns about any awie! I’m so glad both Staci and Lakota were there today so both ears can be pierced at the same time. I had a 60 minute Traditional Thai, medium pressure massage with Anna, who is from Thailand. She has a caring, gentle energy while at the same time giving firm, strong pressure whenever it is needed or welcomed. She is also attentive to when you need a more calming touch. I had asked in advance for more attention to be paid to my lower body and she honored that masterfully twisting me into various stretch postures while applying pressure alternatingly with her fingers, palms, elbows, knees and feet. I appreciated the session so much that I booked a 90 minute session with her for the following week!

I come here for facial threading / eyebrow threading. Everyone is very nice here, and they do a really good job. The longest I've ever had to wait for a walk in appointment was maybe 10minutes, so definitely recommend getting your brows done here if you want a quick walk in appointment. Prices are very good as well.

I have been their client for a long time and every time I visit them, I have absolutely exceptional experience with them. My eczema on my hand was magically gone, my frozen shoulders have been melted away. They also give me tips for self maintenance which have been helping a lot.It might be a bit hard to get a spot, but if you need a good therapist, this is the one!

Recommend the RMT massage by Minna. Most RMT's do a targeted massage of the affected area only, but Minna was professional and kind enough do a full body massage in addition to the pain points. The tension in my neck/shoulder was relieved after the massage. The front desk staff were very courteous and were able to direct bill to my 2 insurances. They should develop their website to allow for online booking though. Right now it looks like only phone booking is available.

Came upon Aiko from Meraki Beauty in Burnaby on instagram, followed her page for a while and really liked her works. I made the jump and picked Aiko for my very first ever beauty treatment. Absolutely worth it!! Girl is talented! She was kind and patience, both with me and a student who was there shadowing. She took her time shaping my brows and checking with me for inputs and approval. The result was beautiful! LOVE my brows! I would definitely recommend Aiko and will be coming back to her for all my future touch ups.

Had a lash lift and tint done with Linda and it turned out so beautiful!I have naturally long but blonde eyelashes so I never really get to see them unless I put mascara on.I don’t do these treatments often but I love it because it makes me feel put together with no or minimal makeup/effort.Linda was so professional and explained everything to me. I had had a Yumi lash lift a few years ago downtown that my sensitive eyes reacted badly to (had to do a rinse after that session!) so naturally I was a little worried I’d have a reaction to this as well, but luckily I didn’t. My husband went to see Justin to make duplicate keys for our Smart car. Three blanks were used and cut manually from his machine. Unfortunately, the blanks that were used were no good so they didn’t work at all but Justin offered to use his computer program to cut another 2 blanks free of charge. So my husband went back the next day. After the keys were cut, they still didn’t quite work properly. So Justin did some tweaking right away and the keys finally worked. My husband couldn’t be happier. Justin’s customer service is top notch. We highly recommend Better Lock Group. Keep up the good work Justin!

Steve helped with installing an extension hose from our laundry washer to the drain. There were some challenges getting the extension to connect but he was able to get it done. During his visit, he was always professional, polite and showed he cared. We had to reschedule a 2nd visit to complete the job and I was happy they were able to send him again. These guys showed up after weeks of shitty weather to do an emergency repair on my roof when no one else would even return my call. They patched it up then came back in the slow season to finish off. I don't know if they were expensive since it's the first time I've had to call a roofer and I've no idea how complicated the work was. But they were easy to deal with; office staff and roofers were very pleasant and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Nice and professional roofing job for my Vancouver house. It's a torchon flat roof replacement, Benny came here and visited here a couple of times before starting the job. His crew has been always very busy all the time, and my roof has been postponed for two and half years.\nMy roof is almost 30 years old, and it's a little bit complicated. There are many decks with glass railings at different levels at both north and south of the house. Some decks have curved curbs. Anyway, it's very complicated.\nHis crew are doing great jobs during the roof replacement. Remove glass panel railing without any damage, remove the old roof carefully, they also cleaned up the ground everyday. We are very happy with their jobs. And would like to recommend them to other people who need the roofing services. BTW, they do roof replacement, vinyl decking, and leaking repairs, etc.\nPlease give him a shout if you need.

Our 30+ year old property had a long wood retaining wall spanning the entire back yard. From the first time Chris came to look at the project, he was helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating! Three adjoining properties also required that their walls be replaced and the project ended up spanning 4 yards. I have been dealing with Para Space Landscaping for a few years as they provide services for our building. This year I engaged them in planting on my own balcony. As a result, we have very nice planters with the grass we wanted, which were installed quickly and painlessly on the balcony. 2 to 3 pieces of my hardwood floor were bowed due to water damage. Other companies suggested one option and that was to replace the pieces, sand and re-finish the entire area at a cost of $1800+. It’s a very good clinic, and I can see every employee cares about health’s patient. I am getting my treatment with Dr. Daelyn and Ali. I can see that I am getting an improvement every day. I strongly recommend it.
Had an amazing experience here! After my favourite vet hospital closed, I spent another few days reading hundreds of reviews in search for a new place as I wanted the best for my fur babies. I took a chance on Hastings Veterinary Hospital for my cat's neuter and was extremely happy with my experience with them! Took incredible care of my cat, called me for periodic updates and even cleaned my cat's carrier after he pooped in it while he was on relaxants. AMAZING PEOPLE AND AMAZING SERVICE!!
My favorite vet in British Columbia.If you have a cat, nobody knows more about them than here! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and have the highest standards!When bringing my cats to a vet, I always hope they will not get sick from the visit - that never happens here.The Dr has a way with cats that you can only get when you have your own and really spend quality time with him - the cats love him!There is nowhere I would rather bring my cats!
We had a great experience here bringing our little ol guy in for a senior check up. The staff were so kind and courteous during our visit. We are becoming regulars since we have to bring in our Miki every couple of days so they can help us with an IV drip thing and each time we go they make us and our cat feel at home.
Dr. Hans and staff are the only ones we can rely on when it comes to our dogs. Our problem boy, Leo, has required lots of urgent care over the past 5 years, and it is this clinic that’s always found a way to squeeze us in to save him. We moved to the island two years ago and have not been able to find another clinic as dependable as this one. Always grateful.
Both my dogs have done agility here, my older one for over 2 years now starting in foundations and my younger went right into sport puppy. They love it so much, they know exactly what day of the week it is and when it is agility day and are excited to go the whole time. We have had multiple trainers both for full courses and as substitutes and everyone is great at what they do and love seeing the dogs improve and have fun!
Serena is a great trainer! Outdoor classes in various locations with other dogs really helped socialize my puppy to different environments as well as dogs. The classes were super helpful in teaching me how to teach my puppy and my puppy loved her !
Dee was a fantastic help in training my puppy. She is super knowledgeable and provided such a great foundation for my puppy and gave me tips as he gets older. Very flexible, interactive, and attentive to my concerns -catering our training sessions to what fit best our household & lifestyle. Totally recommend!

I used to go to Ayros before I got to know of Posh! Checked google and got to know about Carmen and her husband! And god I love them! I have two dogs Simba and Shaeru! They did a great job on both and them and I would love to come recommend them.
Sabrina is amazing for grooming. My mother-in-law brings her dog Teddy here. They are very kind, and take such good care of him. The daycare is also great. They take really good care of him. He quite enjoys them especially when his friend Thor is there. Thérèsa is really great with teddy. Even though they no longer live in Burnaby they are still welcome there. If you need a great place I strongly suggest them

I brought my old Ragdoll cat there. Her hair had gotten thoroughly matted over the years. It was a tough job but they handled it with care and finess. Highly recommended?
I discovered a puddle of water under and around my washing machine. I live in a condo so I needed someone to find the leak and hoped it had not affected my neighbours below. Harmonious Appliance Repair was close by so gave them a call. Instead of an expensive service call, I got great advice on a do-it-myself diagnostic. As suspected it was debris around the door seal. I offered to pay for his time and advice. He thanked me and asked me to post a review instead. I am going to put my next broken appliance in his hands.

Had my initial application get lost in the crowd, but Roanne responded promptly after I sent a follow up.Edgar was a great instructor, using diagrams and drawing out scenarios on his phone. Passed the Class 7 test on the first try!
I had Dave as my driving instructor and he was fantastic. He is flexible when booking lessons and will accommodate where possible. He provides lots of feedback throughout the lessons and guides you through various situations that would be relevant to the actual road test. I would highly recommend Best Driving School and Dave specifically. I passed and got my N on the first try thanks to him! Lots of practice, his calm demeanor and his guidance definitely helped me to get there. Make sure to ask lots of questions too!
I passed MELT 1 and get my class 1 CDL at one try. The main reason is we have very strong instructor on road / In cap and theory course in this school. You will learn lots of skill, information and experience from different instructors that I am very love it. Also, owner Dan is very professional to help us and Gordana is always help us to make flexible schedule for us and help us to reschedule as our request. Very highly recommend if you have any bad experience from another school or when you are looking for a good driving school. Give them a call / email.
Highly recommend this place. Was fortunate to get Henry as my instructor. He is such a patient and kind instructor. He pays attention and gives feedback instantly to help improve student skills. His feedback is fair and helpful. He knows the driving routes and ICBC requirements which is a big bonus in helping students pass. I passed my road test in the first attempt after taking only 3 lessons with Henry. ?

Mauve Hair Salon just recently opened up in Burnaby area, and I am so thrilled. I have been wanting to book for a haircut for quite some time, but their Richmond location is way too busy.Finally, I have decided to hit the new Burnaby location up, and it did not disappoint. I came in early, got sitted and waited for my stylist to come. This place has no free parking available, but they have plenty of street parking. The rate is $3 per hour. Miyo was my hairstylist and she took a really good care of my hair. Before she started cutting my hair, she asked my preferences; such as my habit (how I style my hair or if I just uses hairdryer, my plan (growing hair), and what kind of style I want to go for. Then she started cutting, and after she cut my hair half way, she asked me to move to the washer station to wash my hair. Once I got seated, she gave me a blanket to cover my legs. She covered the back side of shirt around the neck area with plastic wrapper and some towels to make sure the water did wet the shirt. Afterwards, she setup my chair and the foot rest. Then she also gave me a cover for my eyes. While she was washing, she also gave out some massages. It was such a relaxing moment. After, we were done washing, I got seated back to the haircut seating area, and she begun drying my hair. After drying my hair, she started cutting my hair again more carefully this time, especially the bangs area. She took a great care of my bangs, and I loved my overall looks. After she is done, she gave me suggestions on how to style my hair with the new haircut. After paying, I got escorted out by her. Overall, I would recommend Miyo, she went above and beyond with her services.
Sophia is an amazing therapist! I left feeling relaxed and more mobile. She used the right pressure and asked if i need more on the tight ones. I look forward to my next treatment.
Fara's multi-disciplinary approach to healing is quite unique among the practitioners that I've encountered. He uses a combination of acupuncture, massage, sound bathing, herbalism, and at times even just cognitive therapy to help you with your individual needs, depending on what those are. His goal seems to be going straight to the root of whatever your issues is, which is something I really appreciate in contrast to the highly symptomatic/reactive world of common medical care.
I've attended several Pilates classes here, and I must say I really enjoy the lessons. Lily, the instructor, is incredibly professional and patient. I look forward to experiencing positive changes in my posture after completing more courses.
