We originally wanted to add a bathroom on our 1st floor for my in-laws. We had a few contractors come, but only one (Adobe Contracting) was honest and realistic about the prospective costs and challenges of what we had envisioned. So intead of adding a bathroom, we decided to renovate our main bathroom to a mobility accessible walk-in shower. Being a large family, we also wanted the powder room renovated to give us some more space.
Both bathrooms were completely gutted -new tiles, new paint, new hardware, new vanity and toilet, new everything! They look a million times better and we are extremely happy.
Additionally, Adobe Contracting extended our fence so our backyard is finally enclosed. So many contractors over the last couple of years we have lived here gave me the run around or outright refused because the project was "too small". Adobe had it up in a matter of hours and we are over the moon about it.
Very grateful that we were able to find a personable, kind, and honest person to do work in our forever family home. I would recommend this company to anyone (already have) and hopefully he will be able to complete some more projects we have for our home on the horizon. Thank you.
I was impressed with how conscientious and detail-oriented Simon was while washing our windows. He took the time to do a good job, making sure the ledges as well as the glass was clean. He did an excellent job repairing our flagstone. He was very careful fitting the stones back together, then came back another day to do the mortar. He is a responsible worker who cleans up the site after he is finished.
Going with Parsa Renovations for our wall construction was a fantastic decision. I was really impressed by how committed their trades were to doing a great job, and they nailed it by finishing on time and sticking to our budget. I can't help but give them credit for the outstanding design they did.

We had our ducts cleaned today and a float put in furnace. The guys that did the service today were both fun and professional. Really nice guys. Vacuumed up any mess they made and super respectful of furniture. They did a great job!

I had a great experience with Infinity. Randy was very communicative and easy to get a hold of. We had to work through some unique details for my gutter installation and he balanced his expertise with my vision in a way I really appreciated. He was also proactive in bringing up some potential issues before they happened so we could come to an agreement about how to handle them if they happened - really set my mind at ease.
I probably would have gone with them for these reasons but they also happened to be the most affordable quote. The work looks great too - we are very happy with the job!

From the moment I stepped into pRO Hair Group's front doors, I was greeted by a welcoming front desk staff member. She confirmed my appointment and offered me a cappuccino with a dash of cinnamon. A detail that set the tone for the rest of the afternoon.
I then met with Andreea, an exceptional Master Colorist who knows color like she breathes it. She started with a thorough consultation and we landed on a beautiful shade of pink that was both achievable, and complemented my skin tone. She weaved my hair meticulously and applied bleach to lighten my strands for color application. My darn hair did not lift easily so it took a few hours but Andreea was very patient. She checked in regularly despite a very busy schedule and she never once made me feel rushed. After applying the color and a thorough rinse, I was blown away by the final result. I finally got the dreamy dusty pink color I had been thinking about for years! It had depth, dimension and shine. The most impressive part zero damaged - can you believe it?!
Andreea then brought me over to Effie, Master Stylist, who gave me a stunning blunt bob, exactly the way I asked for it. I was blown away by her skill and how effortless she made it look. I especially appreciated how she taught me to style it and even offered to touch it up post-appointment if I wasn't completely satisfied. It was a pleasure to be in her chair.

READ FOR A BAD EXPERIENCE TURN GOOD. Has everyone here had only the best experience? I’m not sure how that’s possible because nothing in life is perfect. I did not have a good experience snd I don’t need to go into detail why because it does not matter what the problem was. The reason why I give 5 stars is because they corrected whatever the issue was. They send a text after each appointment asking for feedback. This isn’t a google review thing it’s their own personal follow up which comes right after the appointment is finished. They read that I did not have good experience and immediately I got a phone call. They called to talk to me about it and wanted the opportunity to correct it.. which they did. They have outstanding customer service and they truly care about their clients. I will continue to go back.
I had a great experience at this salon! Leila did my hair and I loved it. The blow dry finish was really smooth and the coloring looked great. She also gave me a fantastic haircut that suits my face shape. The prices were pretty reasonable too. I'm really happy I found this place and I'm looking forward to going back to see Leila again!

Had my eyebrows threaded by Shuku, she was able to accommodate me on short notice which I appreciated. Shuku was meticulous and made sure I was happy with the results. The brows were very clean and even. The cost was $25.99 at time of posting, which is fair for the location in my opinion. Would return again!

I've been going to Antica for quite some time now.
I can whole heartedly say: by far the best barbershop in Toronto.
1st. Location: industrial area, which makes this spot a hidden gem. Very unassuming from outside, but very warm on thr inside.
2. Aesthetic: warm, inviting, vintage countertops and mirrors brought in from Chicago, waiting area is comfortable and almost gives off a cigar lounge vibe and most of all.. CLEAN. very very clean.
3. Service: 1 word, Consistent. Michael is a master at his craft, talkative yet engaging. Also ensures you give you what you're looking for. It doesn't feel transactional like these other barbershops.
5/5 I'd give more stars if I could.

Update for my review: tried something new, Helen helped me choose a magnetic cat-eye colour and I LOVE it! I used to be a nail biter, but since coming here my nails are so nice looking and strong :) as I get different styles I'll keep updating them here, really happy with the service here!
I got nail extensions with a biogel manicure three weeks ago and just had them filled, both times by Helen. I was hard on them and swimming a lot, yet not a single nail chipped or came off in those three weeks! The place is clean and they are all so very nice, as soon as I finished my first appointment I knew this was my go-to place!
Requested style: I wanted something that looked thinner and more natural, and Helen definitely delivered - multiple people thought they were my real nails!
Cleanliness: No nail filing dust in the air etc, smelled cleaner than other places because they have good airflow
Stylist: Helen is the stylist I have been going to, (though all the staff are polite and professional towards me). Really impressed with her work and manner overall!

This was my first time getting either a manicure or a pedicure, so I don't have a whole lot to compare it to, but Tina did the pedicure and I wish I was sure who did the manicure still -- Mye perhaps? They both did a very good job. I have to keep my nails very trim because of my workplace, and also can't keep them painted for very long, so I came in for just very basic services and yet I feel like they were just as careful as they were with clients getting higher end treatments. The manager also checked in on me many times. The price was quite reasonable as well.
I came to Maki to get my first ever manicure, and it was the most wonderful experience! I showed her my Pinterest board of nail ideas and she put together a beautiful design for me - I couldn’t stop staring at my nails afterwards :) She was so gentle and meticulous while filing, and time flew by so fast because she’s great at making conversation. Her demeanour was kind and comforting. My nails are 4 weeks old now with absolutely no chips or issues. Chloe also did my lashes and I was really happy with the results! Even though it’s pretty far from me, it’s absolutely worth the trip and I can’t wait to go back ☺️

This is my favorite nail shop. I was surprised to learn that Emi has been running this shop for 10 years. Since the nail products are from Korea, they seem really good. There are many products, the techniques are excellent, and the service is fast. I love this shop so much that I want to recommend it. One tip is that they offer promotional nail services at a reasonable price every month. It's a good idea to check those out first before you visit!!

Alisa did a wonderful job on my bridal makeup! I did a trial in advance which went smoothly and she helped me discover my perfect colours. My artist, Alina, led me through the steps on getting my tattoo and how everything will be done and what she will do. She made amazing designs for me with adjustments that I asked for and made them look even better than the originals. I fell in love with a particular vinyle flooring and the salesperson did everything to ensure that I could purchase it within my budget. He actually called the supplier and did negotiating on my behalf. The delivery was easily arranged and accommodated my complicated schedule.Even after I made the mistake of purchasing too much flooring, they renegotiated with the supplier for the return of the flooring. I hired Grand Building and Contracting to complete exterior renovation on my house and I am very happy I did. This is a family business that stands behind it’s word, Alex the father was the lead on my project.When I met Alex, I can say it was refreshing having someone be upfront and honest on cost, progress updates as the project was underway, and both Alex and Jason his son were amazing to work with. The finished product of my house looks amazing! My neighbours stopping me on the street to compliment me how beautiful my house looks. The renovation included the porch, new stairs and portico, stone work, siding, new flashing around the windows to create a uniform look.It took me many years to save up the funds to complete the renovations and I have had some issue with some past contractors promising you things but then not delivering or increasing the cost as they go along, but that was not my experience with Alex, the cost quoted is the price I paid. Alex and Jason went above to provide the quality product and design I was after. The contractors were professional and did quality work. I engaged Ground Up for a major renovation of my house. The plan was to remove a single-story portion of the house, to rebuild it, and to move the kitchen into the newly-constructed portion of the house. Ryan and his crew were professionals all the way through. My house is old, and renovations on a building of this age always contain surprises. Ground Up was crystal clear not only about estimates but also about unknowns and surprises we might encounter. They were also extremely flexible about how work would proceed and collaborative about costs and options whenever a surprise came up. All of the crew and subcontractors were cheerful and friendly, and the job site was kept neat and safe. There were no issues during inspections. I was impressed, and would cheerfully recommend their services to anyone. I have a lot of experience with building renovations and managing contractors, and this particular experience was rewarding.
Slava was great to work with, always responsive, and great with solutions, staying on budget, and listening to us. We bought a house, and decided to do water proofing and have them re-pour the concrete floor. This meant the basement had to be gutted. I didn't expect it to be so hard to find someone to rebuild only what we wanted to do. Everyone was only interested in doing everything as a package which included a bunch of stuff I didn't want. I got in touch with Slava because I saw a bunch of reviews that specifically said how he easy to work with in only doing the work that was asked. So when I said we want to put walls back up, and rebuild the bathroom that was taken out with the addition of a shower there was no pressure to do anything else. Slava offered suggestions when things came up as they do with any project, but these were always really useful. He suggested rerouting some ducting to get height in the new shower (which our HVAC contractor did).Since we'll eventually replace our windows, so he made it easy to remove the inserts... Knew we eventually wanted to redo parts of the kitchen and upstairs bath, so suggesting running some of the plumping through the basement now to make it easier to do later. He figured out how to make it so we could get our standard appliances into the basement (saving us from buying new, smaller ones), etc. So a couple of additions, but also knew we were on a budget and so was not fused about something like putting the floor down (I can handle that). I think he was only surprised we didn't want them to put a ceiling up (I use the basement in part as a studio/recording space, and have a plan which doesn't work with a drywall ceiling). All pricing was transparent, and provided all receipts for materials that he arranged, or had us go pick out what we liked and brought it back.

I was so tired of having to clean my balcony because of the pigeons. I tried holographic tape but it doesn't work. Building management suggested Pigeon Tom. Due to unexpected events I had to change the date of the appointment several times, but Sean was endlessly patient and polite. I have a very long balcony, so it took a lot of webbing, but the price was very reasonable. Sean had the webbing installed in no time. He also did another extra little job for me that required a ladder and was very gracious about it. Now when my lovely neighbours throw their cigarette butts and beer cans off their balconies, their garbage doesn't land on my balcony any more. And as for the flying rats, they fly towards my balcony but then have to change direction in mid flight because they can't leave their calling cards on my balcony. It's very entertaining to watch them.

It's been 2 years since we had the rehaul on our landscaping. Aryat and his team are very skilled and had great workmanship. Aryat was very helpful with meeting our needs and budget. We wanted to reuse our interlock to save some money, this doesn't always work out, but he made it work. He met us at the stone yard to help us select some of our product. This was just another way that showed his commitment to customer service! When problems arose he always gave helpful and cost efficient advice. The work was done on time and the site was always left clean at the end of the day. He came back to do some minor repairs when some of the stones shifted. I would definitely recommend Canada's Gardenland.

Platinum Dental is the best of the best! The space is clean, staff is friendly and professional, and the dental hygienists and Dentists are all excellent! I highly recommend Platinum Dental. Dr. Berman came highly recommended to me, and I’m so glad she was able to take me on as a patient, years ago. And as a bonus, there is free parking in the plaza where they are located (which is not so common for Toronto!).

This was my first time going to a physiotherapist and I can confidently say the Madison clinic exceeded my expectations. The staff and physiotherapists were very helpful and professional - my physiotherapist in particular, Viatcheslav, was very polite, professional and greatly aided me in my recovery process. Would highly recommend him and the clinic in general. UPDATE: Had to go for another rehab session due to a new unrelated event with my back - received the same superb session as before! Can't recommend the team and Viatcheslav enough!
I was seeing a physiotherapist weekly for 3 months for chronic back, leg and hip pain. After each treatment I would get relief but the pain always came back. After 1 treatment with Dr. Shyu, I had instant and lasting relief. After 3, I was able to carry on with my regular activities. Dr. Shyu is thorough, knowledgeable and incredibly skilled at what he does. If you're not getting relief from your therapist, call Dr. Shyu immediately!
I am having an amazing experience at Total Health Chiropractic Center. Doctor Dinos was able to explain my condition no doctor could do before. I was depressed and had little hope, I thought I was going to be under Cortisone for the rest of my life, but with the chiropractic sessions I am receiving from Dr. Dinos I am getting my health back, he truly connects with the patient and his expertise makes you feel confident. Emily, the Health assistant, is always focused on patient care, makes you feel relaxed, and has excellent interpersonal skills.
I highly recommend Dr Payam for your chiropractic adjustments. Ever since my first assessment he’s been attentive to my concerns and has helped me feel my best. I’d experienced persistent back pain for many years and with consistent adjustments, I’ve had no issues. He is very kind and always remembers his patients despite the short amount of time we spend in an appointment together! He has given great advice for any out of the ordinary pain I was feeling.

Chris is the best chiropractor and physiotherapist I have ever seen! I’ve been to many, but none compare to him. In September, I trained Brazilian jujitsu and I got caught in a shoulder lock and I heard a couple pops in my shoulder. I could not move my shoulder or even shake someone’s hand. I went to see 3 different doctors and each told me I needed surgery, but under no circumstances did I want surgery. I went to see Chris and after the first day, there was significant improvement in my shoulder. With Chris’ knowledge and expertise in Physiotherapy, my MRI has shown improvement and a full recovery! After 3 months of physio, I am back full time at the gym. There is clear knowledge from Chris in regard to how the human body works, he truly knows how to repair injuries. He is the best in the game!!!!

Our boy, Jello, is generally easygoing but tends to get anxious in new environments, especially around water. The Groom Room has an introduction session called the Puppy Practice Visit, and we are glad we started with it. Last week, Jello had this meet-and-greet and this week, he went for his first bath experience in Canada.
Lori was amazing throughout the entire process. She sent us the updates and shared a number of videos of Jello because she knew we would get nervous at home, too, as first time dog moms. When we went back to pick him up, it was clear how much Jello already loves Lori.

This store was re-opened (but I don't know when). The place is clean, the environment is comfortable, and the price is very reasonable for the same area. The massage therapist who performed my massage was very experienced and had good technique and sufficient strength. It is not easy to find an excellent masseur in Toronto. Many RMTs only know theory and lack experience. After all, massage techniques cannot be practiced for a long time. Highly recommended place if you need authentic, experienced masseuses.
I've come the Sunshine spa several times and I really love everything here such as nails, spa, waxing, and so on, especially their working style. The staff are extremely nice. Thanks Vahn for treating my lower leg pain. Before the treatment, i was having burning sensation on my shins due to overuse. He told me that i am very close to having splint shins and helped loosen the muscles surrounding the bones of the shin. He also taught me exercises to help loosen muscles. Since im on my 2nd trimester, he was very careful not to put too much pressure on my lower back area and used some pillows to cushion my belly. I feel so much better after each treatment. I would highly recommend him and would go back whenever i travel back to Toronto. The prices here are quite affordable. They are able to do direct billing. However they currently dont have an online booking system (need to book via email, online live chat or phone)... I think that an online booking system will definitely help increase their business. I have been visiting this place since early 2024 due to back and ankle pain from long-term physical labor, and have been visiting this place continuously until this month. While receiving acupuncture, chio, and physiotherapy here, many of the places that were hurting have been cured.
