Antica Barbershop feels like stepping into a an old school New York—Italian barbershop. The chairs and fixtures are original pieces from the 1920s–1950s, which gives the space real character.

For context, I came in with a rough haircut from elsewhere that I did not think was salvageable. While it could not be completely undone, Michael reshaped it beautifully, and it ended up looking great. His level of skill is not accidental. He comes from a lineage of barbers that began with his great-uncle in the 1930s, then his father, and now him—generational skill passed down through decades.

Michael is hilarious and instantly makes you feel comfortable. He is a natural connector who goes beyond surface-level conversation, asking real, thoughtful questions. You can tell he genuinely cares about the person in the chair—not just the haircut.

“I can’t say enough great things about Toronto Fades Barber Shop, and especially Kyle. Every time we go in, the experience is excellent from start to finish. Kyle is truly one of the best barbers around. He takes his time with every haircut and never makes you feel rushed. You can tell he really cares about doing a perfect job and making sure his clients leave happy.

My son gets his hair cut by Kyle, and he is always super happy with the results. Kyle pays close attention to the details and makes sure the haircut looks great every single time. What I really appreciate is how patient and friendly he is with kids. He always greets my son with a smile and takes the time to ask him how he’s doing, which makes the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable.
