This was my first massage and although there was no explanation of what I was to do to get ready, my massage was fantastic. My massuese asked for feedback and what my problem areas were. He alternated between different pressure techniques to accommodate what I could tolerate. Overall I'm happy with the outcome and I'll be coming back.

Renovec went above and beyond for our bathroom demo and remodel, a number of upgrades to a second bathroom, installing a new upstairs laundry room, the repair and replacement of overhead light fixtures in two other rooms, and the replacement of rotted deck planks in my family home. (We had our home built in 1970 and needed these upgrades for both maintenance and lifestyle reasons, including making it safer and user-friendly for my elderly mother.)
And honestly, the company and the owner helped rebuild my openness to trust contractors and taught me something about the potential goodwill of strangers after a bad experience with a previous contractor.
After an initial phone conversation, the owner of Renovec came to our house himself and underbid the lowest estimate we’d gotten for the work. He assigned a project manager to the job and a subcontractor, both of whom he was continually in contact with, and he, the PM, and the owner of the subcontracting firm were all invested in ensuring that my family and I were satisfied with the work and progress.
When unexpected scenarios came up (as may happen with multi-faceted jobs, especially with an older home), Renovec did not create change orders but rather came up with innovative, responsible, and aesthetically pleasing solutions that the company implemented at cost. For instance, they reversed the egress direction of a door and replaced it with two half doors to make the limited laundry-room space work, and the owner himself, who is skilled at plumbing, came onsite to create a multi-layered insulation approach to make an outside wall work for plumbing.
The PM always picked up the phone when I called or called me back within a few minutes in response to any question or concern I had, and the owner was also responsive, even though it was clear that the company was not making top dollar on this job. They were just honorable in addition to being skilled.
More than once, someone from Renovec told me that they wanted me and my mother to be happy with the work. From my experience, Renovec is a company that takes pride in what they do and cares about the people they are doing it for. And now I have my dream bathroom and upstairs laundry, which I would not have imagined I would've been able to afford right now, a safe home for my mother to age in place, and a house that is on its way to not only being restored but also luxuriously enhanced.
I am in the process of working with Renovec for a new roof, plan to continue to call upon them as I am able to afford additional renovations over the coming years, and recommend the company highly.

While cancer has been the toughest fight of my life, Dr. Hendricks and the staff at Maryland Oncology Hematology - Bethesda have been PHENOMENAL. I will deeply miss Dr. Hendricks as she's retiring, but I'm so immensely grateful for the care and research-driven recommendations she's provided as well as the responsiveness of the staff. The nurses are the best on the planet, and I couldn't recommend this practice enough. Five stars and beyond.

The staff is attentive, kind, and truly personally invested in the well-being of the residents. Kudos to the therapy staff as well! Their patience and dedication to helping residents maintain their strength, mobility, and independence are unmatched.
I found my new dentist. Every single person was soooo friendly and patient. The dentist and hygienist made sure to explain everything to me! I had a cleaning and x-rays done, and everything went smoothly.
I like that I always get the treatment on time with very little wait time and that there are sufficient staff to help me do the warm up exercises, Dr. Hook’s office has a vibration plate and educational content that are great bonuses to the experience. Dr. Hook also takes care of my needs every time so I keep coming back! Price is reasonable and staff are all friendly. Location is convenient walking distance to the Bethesda metro and downtown area! Parking is easier weekend or weekdays after 11am otherwise could be a little hard for people that don’t like street parking. Overall would recommend this clinic!
Everyone MUST GO to the NOW MASSAGE in Bethesda!!!! Parking is easy and plentiful and the spa is gorgeous! As soon as you walk in you feel your stress melt away. It is truly a quiet, healing, exquisitely appointed environment and the massage specialists are top notch! Whoever the owners are, they hit it out of the park! Hiwot is, literally, the first hair stylist who had cut and colored my hair beautifully in decades. It doesn’t seem as if it should be so hard to find a stylist who understands how to shape curly hair well and who really listens to your coloring desires, but, I have found it is very hard!!! Hiwot is understated and doesn’t oversell herself, she simply listens and delivers exactly what you want!! She is a lovely and gentle soul with outstanding skills. I am in her dryer now and couldn’t wait to leave a review!! She is absolutely outstanding!!!

Ruth (the owner) is a woman after my own heart - a grade A perfectionist who takes her time to give you the best service! I see her for my blowouts prior to travel for work or vacation, and she never disappoints. The cost is perfect, striking a balance between Aveda’s outrageous blowout price and the lower cost of DryBar, and the results are exceptional. She’s incredibly easy to talk to (I am a closeted introvert that cosplays as an extrovert, meaning I know ball) and an all around sweet person. I have very thick, coarse blonde hair and she manages to use the right amount of tension to smooth it and works in extremely deliberate, small sections to give me a blowout that lasts for over a week. Her star rating says it all!
I had booked an appointment thru their ig page! It was so easy and quick! The location is right off of 355 in Bethesda in front of the AC hotel. It is also walking distance from the Bethesda metro stop. Brenda was so welcoming and helpful with this being my first time getting extensions with her. She asked what I wanted to do, I also asked her expert opinion and we did a wispy full cat eye which was so amazing! Brenda also had snacks and water in her suite and she made sure I was comfortable during my appointment. It was a great experience my lashes have lasted almost 2 weeks with some shedding but Brenda said it's normal! 10/10 would recommend. Brenda provided excellent customer service and fair prices. The suite was clean, cute and full of snacks!

This barber shop is one of the friendliest places in the DMV. They do a great job cutting hair. They have portable iPads so little kids can be distracted. Their prices are very reasonable.

I went there with my dad so he could get his haircut and I also got a haircut when I found out they did women's hair. There are three barbers now and there is almost no wait time. Very good and very precise. I would definitely recommend.
This is a phenomenal barbershop to go to. The price is worth the treatment. Don’t be discouraged. I needed a haircut for an interview, thinking I was going to get a regular cut. Kimberly, my barber, raised the ball and educated to me as to what customer service is. while I was sitting there, I gained an educated tour as to where is and what is can be doing. She refilled my confidence into my job and connected to me on a spiritual level.
When my haircut was done, I saw a different man and such a damn better haircut then many of the barbershops I have experienced in my life time. I loved the complementary treatments too. She educated me about my hair and what type of products I should be using for my hair and beard. As well as what hot and cold water does.

Tony has been our family stylist for the past 10 years. We followed Tony from his previous workplace to his current location because we trust him implicitly with our haircuts. Since my son was in kindergarten and now through his high school years, Tony's monthly haircuts have never disappointed. Whenever my children bring pictures of hairstyles they like, Tony knows exactly how to replicate them. We are very particular about our haircuts, and Tony always delivers. He's adept with both scissors and clippers, depending on what is needed. We can always rely on him for special occasions like graduations and school dances, as he consistently makes us look our best. Highly recommended!

I recently visited the Bethesda Salt Cave for a classic signature massage with Ryan. This is a beautiful, soulful and therapeutic spot. The moment I walked in, before even beginning my treatment, I felt soothed and my body started to drop in and relax. Ryan is patient, kind and respectful. He listens to what is needed, and is also quite intuitive and body sensing. In addition he is quite credentialed in multiple therapeutic modalities. Janine, the owner, is a darling, patient, kind, and she made me feel right at home. She has intentionally curated a space that is safe, nurturing and healing. After my massage, Janine welcomed me into the Salt Cave for a session. She helped me find a comfortable spot, included a warm blanket and gently heated eye mask! This felt like heaven. Within seconds, I fell into the deepest slumber. My body thanked me. After my time here, I felt completely restored! I am now hooked on that feeling!! I will definitely be returning to the Bethesda Salt Cave to explore some of the other many treatments that are offered, as well as referring others.

Ray is a top rate artist and a really good guy, and is highly skilled in design, line work and exceptional at shading. I went to see Ray after a middling experience from a well-known DC artist for a full sleeve. Ray was able to completely transform my half-done sleeve to a true work of art that is seamless in flow. Prior, it was not well connected, line work was uneven and collapsing in some area and the shading was not cohesive.
Ray pulled it together completely and I absolutely love what he did. I recommend him completely and without hesitation. And for those that think you’ve got to go DC for a top end tattoo you don’t. Hit Ray up. He is the best in the DMV.

We had our carpets cleaned by a different company about 6months ago and were told stains on the picture below would never be removed. We understood the possibility of it but was shocked to see how Devin from Metrogreen changed everything just recently. We were doing a routine carpet steam cleaning and showed him the stains. I hired maids prime to do a move out clean for me. The place was in shambles after I had moved and it most definitely needed a deep clean after three years of living in the same unit. They were there early and they spent three hours completely cleaning every surface of that apartment. I wasn’t there for the clean, but when I went back to do my final walk-through I saw it and even my property manager said what an unbelievable job they did. She said that she had never seen a unit so clean at a move out inspection. I also had an arrival time of 2 to 5 PM. That was a huge gap and I had a million other things to do that day. I reached out to the email and they stayed in contact with me until the maids arrived. I think it’s took them 10 to 15 minutes to respond to me when I asked if they had a better estimate on when they would be there. I will absolutely be using them again for my new house.

Deanwood Decks just completed my home's deck and their attention to detail, efficiency, and cost of service went above and beyond my expectations.
We got a couple quotes for our deck renovation. The other companies told us we had to demolish the current deck and start from scratch. Deanwood Decks was the only business that saw the potential in what we currently had and offered us the option to keep some of the materials, and they would only replace what was necessary. The quote Deanwood Decks gave us for this deck project was 50% lower than the competitors. It was an easy choice to select them for the job.
Deanwood Decks is a father and son team. The quote was given by the father, and the son completed the deck repair by himself. It was remarkable how quickly the son worked. In under 2 weeks he repaired the structure of the deck with a mixture of the pre-existing wood and new wood, built a new staircase for the deck, put all new wood planks down for the floor of the deck, and finished a brand-new railing with vertical spindles. The work would have been even faster if the heat wave did not intervene with the work week.
My husband was especially impressed that before each wood plank was screwed in, the wood was aligned to be perfectly parallel to the neighboring plank. Each wood plank has slight imperfections and thought, and care, was taken to make sure the planks aligned as well as possible. Deanwood Decks does not just complete a job to finish it, they take a lot of pride in their work, and I was impressed with the craftsmanship at such an affordable price.

We've hired Mason and his team for two separate projects, both bathroom renovations. They did a fantastic job doing all of the following:- demoing everything- replacing drain lines- reframing- new insulation- adding a window / outside framing- adding a sun tunnel- custom niche construction out of marble- tile work (shower flower & walls, tub wall, main floor)- new electrical / fans- new component installation- paintingThe only problems I had were with the suppliers (which is on me -- we picked out all our interiors ourselves). If I had it to do over again, I would make sure every piece of tile was in my house before the job starts. I would not accept tracking numbers or even a phone call assurance that the pieces have arrived. But once we had everything, it went flawlessly.
Our timeline was around eight months from start to finish, and communication stayed surprisingly consistent the whole time. The site supervisor usually answered texts the same day, which made the process less stressful. One section of flooring had to be redone because of a finish issue, though they handled it without arguing. The final result feels clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed.
The FRED team performed a relatively small, but complicated project. They removed a basement window below grade and the corresponding window well surround. They sealed and waterproofed the exterior of the window opening, filled in the well and finished the exterior with a concrete top that is flush with the existing patio at grade. The interior was finished with framing and drywall. I found the project price to be reasonable and the quality of the workmanship is outstanding, inside and out. I have other projects in mind and l am going straight back to Steve Magill and FRED Home Improvement when the time comes to get them done.

We recently filled in our dilapidated 30-year old in-ground swimming pool and hired Bethesda Garden Design, LLC (BGD) to re-landscape our entire backyard, which was overgrown with ivy and weeds. Debbie Friedman and Andrea von der Pfordten, BGD’s two principals, produced a creative design in keeping with the character of our house within a few weeks and recommended a local landscape company to handle the project. After checking the company’s references, we hired the company to handle the project and Debbie and Andrea to manage it. We were very happy with our decision. They managed the entire project, ensured that the landscape was installed according to plan, and provided outstanding oversight and quality control. They explained what they were doing every step of the way and were very responsive to our questions and requests. The project was a huge success! We now have three beautiful patios, two large gardens, stunning stone paths, hundreds of plantings, and a beautiful pea gravel path leading to our stone fireplace. We highly recommend BGD!

My cats' treatment has been wonderful at Kenwood. They couldn't have been more caring when one of my cats dropped dead. And they greeted the new cat (a Siberian) enthusiastically, and on his fourth visit called out his name when we entered for a checkup. The assistants and the receptionists are also very welcoming. Yes, with a Jaguar parking can be difficult but the advantages of having caring vets and staff makes up for it.

This was my first massage and although there was no explanation of what I was to do to get ready, my massage was fantastic. My massuese asked for feedback and what my problem areas were. He alternated between different pressure techniques to accommodate what I could tolerate. Overall I'm happy with the outcome and I'll be coming back.

I found Vicki's business through internet search, and based on the reviews, I decided to give it a try. For almost two years I have had a frozen shoulder which seriously impacted my range of motion. Vicki treated my shoulder last week. Prior the treatment we had a 30-minute session to discuss the issue, and all my concerns were addressed by her with maximum empathy. While she was treating me, she was very careful when loosening the muscles, widening the range where my arms could go. The whole time, with every stretch I felt she was healing me. At the end of the 30-minute session, I actually tried one PT exercise to extend the range, which I have never managed to do without pain, but after the massage, it was very easy. I will definitely come back here. Vicki is very professional, a real healer, she helped me already with one single session. She really knows her profession.

A friend recommended that I consult Don Diggs for accupuncture treatment of my plantar fasciitis. I was leery of starting cortisone shots with my MD, especially with the warning that tendons can become more brittle that way. With five accupuncture treatments now, I am down from a 9/10 on the pain scale to about a 1 or 2. There are days I don't feel it at all.
