“Training Ground is well-equipped for a variety of fitness goals and client types. Their fitness equipment and training space is well-maintained and clean. Their personalized fitness plans are dynamic and thoughtful, and trainers explain how each exercise helps your body, while also correcting form and offering encouragement. My own trainer, Josue, and every other trainer I observed were motivating and kind, and they always brought positive energy to the space. I would highly recommend TG for a beginner wanting to learn how to workout, and for an advanced client with specific fitness goals!“

“After having my second baby (2 kids in 2 years), I was feeling a bit disconnected from my body, to say the least. I looked different, I felt tired, and I was determined to find a way to get healthier, feel more confident, and increase my energy. Enter Ultimate Performance. I was skeptical at first. I had worked with personal trainers before, was this really going to make the difference? Was I going to spend the $$$ and have it be the same as any other trainer? I am so happy to share that it has turned out to be 1000% worth it. For me, the big differentiator between UP and working with other trainers in the past is the focus on the nutritional aspect along with the actual training--and that shift has made all the difference for me. In the past, I've worked with trainers who primarily focused on exercises without delving into the nutritional aspect. They would suggest certain foods or exercises without thoroughly explaining their rationale or providing follow-up or guidance. At UP, they truly serve as your personal wellness coach, regularly checking in with you for accountability and support. I feel like I have a partner in my fitness journey, which helps me stick with it and celebrate the small daily wins. Their app alone is the best fitness app I've used for tracking meals, steps, etc. However, while this approach has been beneficial for me, I could see how it might feel overwhelming for people who are less inclined towards a structured, disciplined process or for someone seeking a more relaxed experience. They mean business at UP, so they do check in on you regularly to see how you're progressing. Personally, that's the experience I wanted. The community at UP Bethesda, specifically, is super professional and collegial, everyone is friendly and I enjoy going there. I have been training with Zach and he's been supportive, positive, and consistent. He also takes the time to explain things - whether it's the why behind doing a certain exercise or the reasons behind certain nutrition recommendations. If he doesn't have the answer to a question in the moment, he always follows up with me afterward. He's also just a kind person, and I feel like he wants me to succeed just as much as I want to succeed. It's been a 10/10 experience for me. I've been training at UP for 3 months and I look better than before I had kids--and I feel better too. I am eating healthier, have more energy, and even my family has benefitted from my dietary changes. This is not to say it's been easy. It's required diligence and commitment, and there have been many (many, many) days where I want to cave or stray from the plan. But, in fully committing to the process, I can say it's actually worked for me. I'm happy to chat with anyone interested in UP Bethesda about my experience.“
