“Great collaboration with this team! Little shaky in the beginning about communication but once we touched based again communication was superb. They put in a brand new laundry room, brand new bathroom, and renovated kitchen. Extremely happy with work. They were able to reconfigure an electrical outlet through the wall to accomdate an electric stove we bought with very inconvenient outlet intake, very expertly done.

“The FRED team performed a relatively small, but complicated project. They removed a basement window below grade and the corresponding window well surround. They sealed and waterproofed the exterior of the window opening, filled in the well and finished the exterior with a concrete top that is flush with the existing patio at grade. The interior was finished with framing and drywall. I found the project price to be reasonable and the quality of the workmanship is outstanding, inside and out. I have other projects in mind and l am going straight back to Steve Magill and FRED Home Improvement when the time comes to get them done.“

We got a couple quotes for our deck renovation. The other companies told us we had to demolish the current deck and start from scratch. Deanwood Decks was the only business that saw the potential in what we currently had and offered us the option to keep some of the materials, and they would only replace what was necessary. The quote Deanwood Decks gave us for this deck project was 50% lower than the competitors. It was an easy choice to select them for the job.

Deanwood Decks is a father and son team. The quote was given by the father, and the son completed the deck repair by himself. It was remarkable how quickly the son worked. In under 2 weeks he repaired the structure of the deck with a mixture of the pre-existing wood and new wood, built a new staircase for the deck, put all new wood planks down for the floor of the deck, and finished a brand-new railing with vertical spindles. The work would have been even faster if the heat wave did not intervene with the work week.

My husband was especially impressed that before each wood plank was screwed in, the wood was aligned to be perfectly parallel to the neighboring plank. Each wood plank has slight imperfections and thought, and care, was taken to make sure the planks aligned as well as possible. Deanwood Decks does not just complete a job to finish it, they take a lot of pride in their work, and I was impressed with the craftsmanship at such an affordable price.

“We've hired Mason and his team for two separate projects, both bathroom renovations. They did a fantastic job doing all of the following:- demoing everything- replacing drain lines- reframing- new insulation- adding a window / outside framing- adding a sun tunnel- custom niche construction out of marble- tile work (shower flower & walls, tub wall, main floor)- new electrical / fans- new component installation- paintingThe only problems I had were with the suppliers (which is on me -- we picked out all our interiors ourselves). If I had it to do over again, I would make sure every piece of tile was in my house before the job starts. I would not accept tracking numbers or even a phone call assurance that the pieces have arrived. But once we had everything, it went flawlessly.“
