“My barber, Thang, is so masterful while being so kind and friendly. He began cutting my hair when I was 12 or 13 at a nearby shop that he and his brother owned on St. Elmo. After I left the DC area for some time, I found out 9 years ago when I came back that he was still in the area and so I returned to him as a client. So yup, the same guy is cutting my hair at 39 that was when I was 12. He’s irreplaceable in the Bethesda community.
Thang has an incredible command and eye for detail, takes his time, and his three-plus decades of experience is always evident. He will absolutely leave you feeling happy with a handsome haircut. I recently took my 9-year-old nephew to get his hair cut by Thang, and it was very emotional to see my nephew be the “next generation.” He loved his hair, looked great, and even told his mom about it.
While I don’t have any experience with the other barbers in 8k, they all seem skilled and are all so friendly. Plenty of smiling faces and good haircuts leaving these chairs. The barbershop is sparkling clean, very attractive, has wonderful prices, and even has a small play area for children while they wait. Great rack of magazines, a water cooler, lollipops, and a couple widescreen TV’s. The shop is a Bethesda gem, and while I’d say any of the barbers will do a good job, I can’t recommend Thang highly enough.”
