I’m a brand new client and was looking for a curly cut/consultation, neither of which I’ve ever had, and was a little wary after my last experience at a different salon. Michelle immediately put me at ease - she asked detailed, comprehensive questions about my current routine and hair goals, and took her time examining my natural hair to give accurate, reasonable input about cut methodology, length, and process for the best result that could be had today, and how to maintain hair health moving forward.
Every step of the process was explained in an accessible way, and also, the scalp detox/head massage was absolutely wonderful. So refreshing! You really get a complete, educational picture of the entire process without judgment and a luxury experience with premium clean beauty products. She showed me how to diffuse properly, detailed product amounts and application methods, went step by step and showed me with a handheld mirror so I could replicate the methodology on my own.
The results are absolutely fabulous. I’ve never seen my hair have such uniform curl throughout.

I desperately needed a hair cut after this long Covid stint of being locked down. I contacted Alisia and she was able to get me in right away. First all, her shampooing skills are the best! I literally could fall asleep in her hands as she washes my hair. She has always had a super clean salon but after Covid it is that much more on point, as she really cares about her clients and their safety. She takes her time with your hair and really makes sure she gives you what you want. She also has beautiful crystals and other novelties which promote a beautiful sense of peace and calmness in the salon. So relaxing!!! Trust me you'll love everything about Alisia and her salon!!

Recommendation: Have a friend drop you off if you have a dye + cut service! Street parking maxes out at 3 hours. I was ready for a transformational haircut and specifically booked with Kim because of her short hair cutting/razor skills. I will note that her hourly rate was higher than I anticipated ($125/hr), but her skills justify the expense. I have long, thick, wavy-curly locks with multiple cowlicks, and Kim was able to sculpt my mop into the pixie cut of my dreams! I felt "unveiled" during the appointment. Kim took direction from how my hair naturally wanted to fall so I will not have to "fight" my hair to style it. I really wanted a low-maintenance, fun cut, and Kim delivered. Very excited to be rocking short hair in time for spring!

Hands down the best nail salon and best place to get a pedicure. I come all the way from Brentwood about 30ish miles for the pedicures. Super clean. Super relaxing the price is great. The owner and everyone is so nice. The mimosa pedicure is so worth the drive. My boyfriend loves it here b/c they don’t do acrylic and it doesn’t smell like paint thinner. Love it here!!

My favorite nail salon! Ha and Wendy ALWAYS do a beautiful job on my nails and I constantly get compliments. Pedicures are also just as great. I can't remember the technician who does my pedicure but she is so cordial and does an amazing job! They are also very accommodating here.
Let me start by saying, I am a picky person when it comes to my nails and it takes a lot for me to be satisfied when it comes to my acrylic nails. Been getting them done for over 30 years. With that said I like my nails with a curve, which is not very common these days. Molly and Tony were wonderful, especially when I asked if I could supply my own curved tips (most places do not carry these anymore). They said of course, whatever will make you happy. Visited them for the 1st time before Xmas, was so happy as I finally had curved nails again. I had previously been with my past nail tech for 14 years until she retired right before the pandemic. Not only did I get my curved nails, Tony listened to all my nit picking about shape and smoothness or angles and basically anything that i saw as a quirk that would bother me and my OCD. Went and got a fill in January and was still very happy with the services. Fast forward to Feb. and I was out of town and used a local place, and even with my own tips, i left feeling that my nails were not up to par and almost wanted to remove them and have them done over at King's Nails upon returning to town. Now I have my next appointment scheduled for next week for a new set to start over and I can't wait. Love Love Love the personalized attention I get there!!!! As others have noted, Yes bring cash and best to make appointments as this husband and wife duo are the only ones there.

This review is for Rochelle! I have been a very high paying client for stylists in San Francisco AND Walnut Creek. It wasn't until I was seen by Rochelle that I finally fell in love with my hair. Leaving the salon I had fresh, bouncy, shiny hair that seemed magically healthier.
Rochelle is quick to respond, come in on days that she is not regularly scheduled, and stay over time for me at the last minute for an event! I can't say enough about her.

The quality of cut speaks for itself. No joke, at least 8 of us go there with age ranges of teenager to grandma and everyone is happy.

Im inexperienced and have no clue what im doing. It ends up being the most embarrassing moment of my entire life. It defined me for the next 3 years. I was incapable of sitting in any barber chair. I avoided salons like the plague. I hope I was the only one that was negatively impacted. Sometimes I wish I could get a do- over. I made serious efforts to educate myself on what a stylist needs from her client. Someday I will make another appointment, I hope. She really is a gorgeous human on the inside. Heavenly treatment is right!! Stopped in for a deep tissue massage with Stephanie! And believe me when I say she is the light, the way, and the truth! She was incredibly intentional with the massage and made sure to check in. My back is a touch demonic, so it takes a patient and resilient had to get it to yield even a little bit. Price for my massage was super reasonable, and I am so ready to make this my go to spot!
“Earlobes touched by an angel” Haha seriously though I’ve been getting deluxe facials from Wednesday since about November of 2025 and they are so worth it. Throughout the facial you get scalp, hands, and earlobes massage (honestly feels amazing). Wednesday is friendly, knowledgeable and professional, I trust her with my skin. It is such a fun and relaxing time when I go, just go and try it!!!

Matt at Brasso Plumbing just completed a re-pipe for me in Livermore. They did an outstanding job and his team was timely clean and they were in and out with no leaks, What else could ask for? They helped with city of Livermore inspections and took care of all the finish work at the end of the project. The crew was awesome, honest and hard working. I was hesitant to leave this review as plumbers are gold and I like to keep them a secret. They did such a great job, I had a give them a shout out.
My water bill was extremely high this month and I had no idea why. I called pg&e and they said I had a water leak somewhere in my house. After calling around I decided on USA leak detector because they were able to get me an appointment the same day. They were able to pin point exactly where I had a leak. Steve was able to come out and fix my problem in 20 minutes which end up saving me a lot of money. He was extremely knowledgeable and didnt mind providing insight. I highly suggest them for fast and efficient work I’ll be calling USA leak detector for all my plumbing needs!

Najib showed up to give an estimate for installing a heat pump water heater as a replacement for a gas water heater. It requireds installing a 240 volt electrical line which Najib is not licensed to do. He should have informed me about that on phone but he waived the $75 estimate fee nevertheless as he cannot do the full job for me. So, I give him 5 stars for his professionalism.
Used Reed plumbing my main was backed up and after our remodel I guess one of the bathroom was done wrong with another plumbing company. Reed plumbing came super professional and fixed our problem. Will be using them in the future. Highly recommend them!

CrossFit 580 is great! The gym is fully stocked with the best equipment and always cleaned and fully staffed. Lindsay has been a great instructor for the 6 am class. The vibe is really good there. All the members a very nice and supportive with plenty of energy. The new owner DJ is super nice is very engaged. I've been going for a month now and feel very excited to continue!
I have worked with Total Floors as an Interior Designer and as a private customer. The quality of sales and installation service is excellent. Ahmed is both very personal and professional, a pleasure to work with. He is excellent at sourcing materials, even those hard to find, and does so at very fair pricing. Out of the other Tri Valley flooring stores, Ahmed was the only one who perfectly matched an existing hardwood floor for a customer that had had the current flooring for over 7 years and was looking to install it in other areas of the house. He was also able to source the exact hardwood floors for my home when I decided to replace carpeting in other rooms and was able to do so at a great price. The craftsmanship was excellent and his team of installers were great to work with and very respectful of caring for my home. I highly recommend Total Floors for your flooring needs.

This is a long overdue review - Gary remolded our bathrooms 4 years ago. We still couldn't be more pleased and satisfied with the finished product. He and his team's craftmanship, attention to detail, knowledge and expertise were all exceptional. Gary provided an accurate estimated budget, communicated regularly and clearly related to status and decision points while the project was in progress. His extensive knowledge of home construction was apparent in being able to provide solutions to uncovered items following demo which helped keep our design plans and materials choices intact. Given his expertise, we would not hesitate to use him for a whole home reno. 4 years later we are still impressed with the quality of work completed and the impressive fit and finish details. We sincerely appreciate the impact Gary and his team made in improving our home.

The kitchen remodel included moving a wall, electrical upgrades, and even a charming but silly barn door and he sailed through it. Furthermore, he has a great heart and integrity. I feel so happy finding a great contractor that always strives to do the right thing. His crew is very nice, polite, and produced beautiful work. At the end of last year, Dennis and his team completely updated the interior of a home I own. He took it from super dated 1970's to clean, classic, updated and open. The entire process with Dennis was great. To be honest, I dreaded doing this project as I know home construction can be unpredictable and stressful. But I can honestly say, he and his team made the process easy. To begin, he quoted each step of the remodel (floor, kitchen re-do, bathroom re-do, etc.) separately. This was helpful, because if we had a change to due to budget or for any other reason, it made the process of updating the proposal simple and quick. Additionally, as each step got completed and we made a payment, his office sent me the receipt and what it covered, so there was never a question as to where we were in the process, and my family and I could plan for and always see where we were in the budget. His pricing felt totally fair and he often gave me alternate options if something was not in my budget. The quality of the work was great. His team was thorough, they were clean as they went, and they were totally trustworthy and friendly. When we did hit a delay (not due to Almeida, but due to a material delay), Dennis was open and set my expectations for ETA of materials, so there was no wondering and waiting. He listened to me along the way and made some adjustments I requested. The quality of the work was exceptional. All the details were tied up when finished. I highly recommend Almeida and Son Painting and Construction, and plan to use their services again in the future on another home.

We have services at our Meeple Valley location. We are mainly concerned with insects outside around the building. Alex has been great. He provides some of the best service! He handled 2 wasps nests that were starting to be set up outside the front day. He came in after hours to make sure that the nests were gone and the property was properly serviced. Could not recommend higher thanks to Alex's customer service and dedication!

We worked with Landscape Experts Inc (LEI) to revitalize our wild yard, cutting back swaths of overgrowth and transforming it with a variety of beautiful California native plants and nine fruit trees. They also carved out a lovely hillside with custom stairs, a spacious terrace, and game trails perfect for enjoying the view. LEI works with YesPlease.Garden (YPG) who managed the design process and Fresh Coat Restoration who completed the new fence. The partnerships were well integrated and it felt like working with a single team. See my Google Maps review for more on YPG. We are very happy with our project and would recommend LEI because they were professional, courteous, reliable, and provided clear and upfront pricing. Documenting decisions in writing proved helpful for keeping everyone on the same page. Any problems we had were resolved fairly, such as correcting the direction of our stairs. Aaron is a man of his word but prefers to conduct most of his business through texting. We first contacted LEI and they promptly scheduled a time to visit our property with YPG to see what was possible within the budget we set out. We completed the design with YPG and LEI scheduled a time for the project demolition. A later approximate time for planting was set, but that was dependent on the availability of the various plants we had selected. Everything scoped in the design was completed within the budget and any add-ons we later requested were priced separately and fairly.
We are so happy! Kat worked with us to establish our design goals for a whole new front and back garden and deck. She took into account our desire for low maintenance, drought tolerance, mostly native plants, and some turf, as well as the handful of existing features that should stay. Then she quickly turned it into a beautiful custom landscape design, with detailed plans.When Kerri Landscaping (her recommendation) implemented the plan, they had to change almost nothing. A few minor position issues to keep the arbor away from the house and adjust the re-purposed concrete for the retaining wall. For a project of this size, which took about 750 hours of labor, that's incredible foresight. She guided us into making the finishing touches to our taste and was extremely responsive every step of the way. We contacted Davey Tree service for a few different reasons- maintaining tree health, tree trimming, removing dead trees, and thinning out and de-fruiting an olive tree. Patrick came out to do the initial inspection and to provide an estimate. He was great! He was very knowledgeable about many tree species, and he explained his reasoning and their process for the different suggestions, and we felt very comfortable moving forward with them. Their communication with scheduling was so easy, and their quote was very straight forward. They have been out to our home several times over the years to follow up and continue treatments and maintenance. Last week a crew came out for our olive tree (Salvador, Santos, and Fernando), they were AMAZING! They did such a beautiful job thinning out the tree with an artesian touch. They were true professionals and also very knowledgeable. They were efficient, clean, and kind. They did a terrific job with the tree and also cleaning up everything when they were done. I would happily and highly recommend them to anyone needing tree service/maintenance!
I was so impressed by this company! They were on time (even a little early), so kind and affordable. The staff was personable, professional and tidy. You would have never known there was ever any work done by the way they cleaned our property after three trees were cut and three trees including a very large one trimmed. If you have dental anxiety, as I do (from a childhood dental accident), Dr. Ross is your dentist. She explains procedures step by step, and stays very calm. She can read my body language if I start to feel stressed and encourages me to raise my hand if I need to take a break. After decades of dealing with issues, it is a relief to be in the hands of a dentist who is proactive about taking care of dental problems.
The absolute best experience possible! I went in in absolute pain with a abscess and root canal needed. Left with a smile and absolute relief. Literally, I cannot recommend her highly enough. Thank God I went to this place for my cat who was sick! Last vet visit at Del Valle was a good experience except for the price which they don’t explain the breakdown of cost before treatment, and never treated my cat for fleas which was what was making him sick, and cost me close to a thousand without giving me flea treatment!
Animal Medical Center was professional and came with the computer to show me what each treatment cost before hand! For families that are on a limited income, this place is way better in explaining treatment! Got 4 medications and walked out the door under $200.00! Will be coming back to this clinic for further treatment if necessary!!

Dr. Singh is an amazing veterinarian! He and his team are very knowledgeable and kind. My dog is typically afraid of the vet however Dr. Singh calmed his nerves and was able to address every concern we had. The vet techs are also incredibly helpful, efficient, and compassionate. We’ve been with Altamont Cat for 8 years. We love it that Dr. Mathews and vet tech Laura are always so gentle, caring and empathetic to our kitties. Seeing how they gently talk and pet to make our kitties feel good about the procedures always gave me tears in my eyes. They really take the time to be with their patients. They call to check in on our kitties regularly. They always accommodate us when last minute needs arise. They embodied the utmost high quality vet care.
I feel like I have to give Altamont Cat a five star review after one of our cats’ contrasting experiences at a different clinic that he received specialized care from.

I have taken a few of my cats here and they have been great. My cat Kenzi got feline diabetes and the diagnosis gave me the option of 2 extra years with her. I am so thankful for that. If anyone ever tells you it is too expensive to take care of your cat when they have diabetes it is not. The insulin was $50 and it lasted 3 months with 2 shots a day and the needles you could get on Amazon and they were $20 and they lasted 2 months. So it is very manageable if ypu want more time with ypur pet.

I could feel their ability to deal with my babies needs were spot on. I knew and so did my little one that they spoke and understood cat language and behavior. I came in for a 80min Swedish massage with firm pressure, Megan was amazing! She made sure to go over everything during the consultation so I got the most out of my massage session. She hit all my target areas I requested (mainly lower body) and was really good with her pressure. Definitely walked out feeling 1000x better than I came in!

Dr.Jens is the best acupuncturist I’ve ever seen. He cured me of a life long allergy and did the same for my family and friends. He actually saved my friend from a dangerous life threatening allergy and she no longer needs an EpiPen. He’s also helped me with some health issues that impacted my life. He cured a terrible facial pain condition for my mom that made it so she couldn’t even drink water. It took only 1 visit to get her life back and 3 to cure it. He always makes me feel welcome and he always explains what he’s going to do. He is not a hard sell (which I love) and he will always be in your best interest. I highly recommend him. If you have allergies, health conditions or pain, don’t wait any longer. Go see Dr. Jen’s as soon as possible.
