“Today was one of my visits to Define Dentistry. . for my dental needs . As always , I got the best treatment with utmost care . The hygienist was very thorough and explained everything as she did her work.Dr. Charlie is a brilliant dentist and in my several trips to Define Dentistry I can vouch for her honesty in her work . She goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and is very thorough in her work. My husband accompanied me to the office today . He had a few extractions, and Dr Charlie’s expertise was evident as she worked on his teeth . Amazing !!The staff is so polite and the office is so welcoming and is well equipped with latest equipment.And our 4year granddaughter was with us , who was welcomed by all there . “A good friendly neighborhood dentist's office - the staff members are always very kind, proficient, and welcoming. Dr. King isn't afraid to take on challenging issues ( which I have some) that most the other doctors shy away from. The dentist answered all my questions patiently, I always thought "cleaning" was more of a cosmetic procedure for a sparkly smile but little did I know, it actually prevents bone degeneration and much more. I was given some solid advice, things to avoid & to follow until the next visit. I feel very optimistic and look forward to continuing my treatment at her office. I feel confident I am in very good hands.Also, previously b/f pandemic, Dr. King waved the fee of $145 for the cleaning procedure which my insurance failed to cover, minor insurance glitch but she didn't even question or hesitate to take the burden which I found a very rare gracious gesture.“

“Where do I begin. I've been going to Dr. Kamena for the last ten years and I can say that he is more than just a dentist to me. I guess you could say, his office is one of my safe spaces. The minute I walk into the office, I am greeted by the friendliest receptionist, who knows my pronouns, which makes me feel very comfortable and accepted, and I have a lot of them. Dr. Kamena is the most inclusive dentist in the Bay Area and I feel other Dentists could learn a thing or two about creating an environment where all persons are accepted. He should strongly consider doing regional trainings on DEI...Dentist, Equity and Inclusion. Sometimes when he is cleaning my teeth, I feel like he is also cleaning my soul while I'm watching HGTV. His staff is also very friendly, accommodating and accepting of who I am. It's almost like they have been on this journey with me. So, to all of my LGBTQIA2S+, I strongly recommend you give him and his team a try, you won't be disappointed.“
