“It has taken me a while to finally get this review written but my satisfaction with Ryan and his Kelly Roofing team has only improved over time. I had a complete re-roofing done in advance of the installation of a solar power system - which is another story - and selected Kelly Roofing, in part because of the Yelp reviews but largely because of my interaction with Ryan when he came to give me an estimate. Kelly Roofing was the most distant roofer but those closer to our home just couldn't compare with Ryan's knowledge and approach. And in addition to being an expert, he is also a nice guy. We chose the Presidential line of shingles, which I think surprised Ryan as much as it did us. They look amazing and have resulted in multiple positive comments from neighbors and others. Ryan and his crew had to wait a bit for the shingles to be manufactured and available to him but when they began working, it went smoothly and quickly, from our perspective. The entire crew was personable and easy to work with and we are extremely pleased with the entire process with Ryan. I absolutely recommend Kelly Roofing! Now, as for the solar installation, this did not go very well. The solar installation company was TERRIBLE! The solar crew showed up on one of the hottest days of the year and even after warning them that the roof was brand new, they proceeded to absolutely trash it. We lodged complaints with SunPower (which was very responsive and upstanding and who I would also recommend if you are considering solar power) who immediately sent a representative to examine the roof. They, too, were appalled at the damage done to the roof and took responsibility for dealing with the installation company. Long story short, the solar panels had to be removed and the brand new roof replaced at the solar installation company's expense. Ryan, too, was amazed at the damage but quickly got to work to replace the damaged roof - nearly 1/3 of the roof had to be removed and replaced. Sadly, the solar installation company was not upstanding and it took weeks to actually pay Ryan after many complaints by us and direct contact. NONE of this part relates to the work Kelly Roofing did - twice - except to say that once again, Ryan and Kelly Roofing came through and did an OUTSTANDING job integrating the replaced portions of the roof into the existing roof. While I don't think we'll be needing to replace our roof anytime soon, I will most definitely reach out to Ryan and Kelly Roofing and hope that he is once again willing to make the drive. “Liz the admistrative person over the phone was prompt and made sure I reached a sales person over the phone. I didn't reach one and she was very friendly and humorous and we found someone else I could talk to instead. Frank, the sales person, was very knowledgeable, he loves his job, has a lot of suppport and resources to do his job freely, and responsible. “I jumped on the solar band wagon super late and was in a rush to qualify for NEM 2.0. One of my friend recommended AA solar as he was going trough solar installation himself. He referred me to Daniel and I got the quote form him after a brief phone call. I did take quotes from other vendors too and Tesla was the only one charging less then AA but Tesla by that time had stopped taking new application under NEM 2.0.Daniel was very easy to work with and we signed the contract and submitted the application for permit to PG&E. Adam from design team reached out to me on a Saturday and went through some design issues and recommended some solutions.Philip was our installer and he was really very informative person and answered all my questions. He did a clean job and was even present on the day when city came for inspection. Their was an issue with newe sub panel grounding but it was resolved after I called them post instalation.Veena kept me in loop with all the steps my application was going through and informed me when I had received PTO from PG&E.Overall I had a great experience and i have already referred my friends to AA and they were also able to get in at NEM 2.0 rate.The next big question is about the maintenance/warranty support from AA solar, I am hoping they will provide the same customer satisfaction.“
