I'm not sure if the reviewer before me was referring to the same Hollis Landscaping... my friend recommended John and his team to me and they have been incredible with our yard!! We can't afford too much aside from monthly maintenance and we did a backyard upgrade with lots of new shrubs, new path, and groundcover. I cannot say enough good things about them. John got back to me right away with very reasonable estimates. His workers show up as they are scheduled-- right on time. The prices are very good and we are so happy we hired them to help maintain our yard. They are also very friendly. John is an exceptional landscaper so he had great suggestions within our budget. Highly highly recommend giving him a call or shooting him an email (he emails as well as returns calls). They have made a huge difference in the appearance of our home!

She's incredibly knowledgeable and the most trusted skincare expert I know. If you're lucky enough to snag an appointment with Ally, do it! You won't find a better esthetician.
I saw Ellie yesterday after lunch at Comelones Tacos. Her prices are 75 dollars for a haircut. She was prompt and was serving two people when I saw her. My appointment was at 12 noon and that is when I sat in her chair. The salon itself is very small with one chair for waiting clients. There were three stations and all three ladies including Ellie looked like true professionals. I didn't see any chatting or joking but complete attention to their clients except for Ellie who checked her cellphone several times and also talked on her cellphone while cutting my hair. Since I paid 90 (after a 15 dollar tip) for a 22 minute service, I felt a little cheated. Ellie washed my hair for five minutes from 12:00 to 12:05. At 12:22, I was outside getting into my car which meant that my haircut was 17 minutes. 90 dollars for a 17 minute haircut just doesn't feel right. My haircut was very basic, a few layers in the back and I didn't really see much layers framing my face which she promised. I would have liked a little more detailed framing. I will see how my hair grows out but I am unsure I will come back. Also, Ellie doesn't take credit cards so I had to pay her cash which she appreciated.
Building is clean, staff is very nice, and helpful. Rooms are always being cleaned and laundry is clean.

I followed him from Sharp Barbershop to Silver Fox Barber Co as he is a true artisan, has a great eye, precise and true to his craft. Dr G. Did an amazing job on our dogs teeth! The before/after pictures I posted speak for themselves! We have had wonderful experiences each time we have taken our pets to Orinda Vet. We have one dog and two cats. Cats can be difficult to handle, but Dr. G was truly a professional. I've been to many other clinics that scruff my cats without giving them a chance to behave. So one of my favorite characteristics is transparency. From the front office to Dr. Sandhu, they were all very thorough with all explanations. And you feel a genuine sense that they look out for your well being as well! Yessie explains the billing and works with you, since I had a ton of dental work this year she was able to anticipate my limit and gave me a few options. They submitted the claim just in case it was approved and credited any extra to for future use. Glad I found this dental office!
Take it from someone who has had a lot of dental work done, Dr. Heckler is clearly an expert in his field, and you can trust him with your dental health. He will take care of everything you need, and no more than you need. He is gentle and thorough, and he clearly explains his findings and recommendations. If you are looking for a dentist, do not hesitate, Dr. Heckler and his wonderful staff are there for you.
If you want the best in Pilates, this is your place. Too many pilates classes are taught by untrained instructors. Carolyn was trained by one of the original pilates teachers. She meets you where you are and works with you. She's smart & charming and unlike so many storefront pilates places, she knows the human body. She keeps you flexible and in shape. You won't find anyone better.

I've been a coaching client of Paul's for the entire past year, and a professional friend and associate for several years prior to that through professional organizations where we've both been members and held board positions.
My business was strong to start with, but had plateaued. With Paul's guidance I've been able to reach a new high. His ability to help me see past all the decision fatigue of running a business, to show me what really needed my attention, has been key to my growth. This guy has a business brain. He thinks in the language of business. I'm an artist who went into business to make art, giving scarce little thought to business, and having similarly low enthusiasm for all of that. Paul has been patient and consistent and tireless in keeping me on the straight and narrow, and it's made a real difference. If anything, I've underutilized his assistance. Someone who wants to scale WAY up could learn even more from this man.
And BTW, we all know how the internet is sometimes… the one star review here is from some random bad actor who's never worked with Paul. Ignore the bots. Paul's advice is nuanced and thoughtful, interactive and adaptive on an ongoing basis, and comes from decades of experience. And it's up to YOU to follow through on it and keep him in the loop so he can offer the best counsel.

I can't speak highly enough about this place and the people here - I am so grateful to have found them. Over the past year, I have had many items dry cleaned and they have done an incredible job. Many of the items had been brought to other dry cleaners previously and the stains were not removed - it was Hail Mary to bring them in here and they look like new! They are very reasonably priced, I mean I would have paid much more for these services, but price is subjective. It is a 30 min drive from my house, but I will never get anything dry cleaned anywhere else. I wish I had before/after photos to share.
