Nina is warm, friendly, caring, professional, and gifted at her craft. This massage was by far, hands down (no pun intended) the best I’ve ever had. I did 45 mins massage and 20 mins of cupping. I left feeling such an incredible amount of relief on my extremely tight back and shoulders. She has a talent for finding your knots, right where they are most tense, and releasing them. Her studio was clean and inviting. I will definitely be returning again!
Joaquín has been taking care of my truck since his early days based out of his home. He did a ceramic coating a few years back and never disappoints when I need a mobile or in shop maintenance appointment leaving my truck better than new! It is no surprise that he now has his own shop because he truly cares and takes care of your car.
Leonor did an excellent job on my drapes. I had a silk dupioni that was very expensive and that I had worked hard to find, so I was pretty nervous. But there was no reason to be. Not only did Leonor kindly agreed to sew the drapes using the fabric I chose (which not everyone will do), but her work was immaculate. There are little touches that show the care that she put into it: the way the lining is laid down so that all possible seams are hidden, and the way the side seams don't show at all from the front are just two.
This project meant a lot to me, and I'm so appreciative of the work she did, and even more grateful that her prices are reasonable. And she was very pleasant to work with. I strongly recommend this shop.

Great experience going to Leon's salon. Easy to get to the salon and huge parking lot. The salon was so nice. I showed Leon some pictures so he would have an idea of what I would like. After trying several other hair salons Leon absolutely got it. I was so pleased and happy that I found a salon and hair stylist who listens and I can trust to accomplish what I have wanted.

I’ve been coming here for about 8 months now and I love it every time. I always come for a pedicure so once I walk in they get the chair all ready without having to ask! I usually prefer a quiet atmosphere for these kind of services and I get that here. It is small so if you prefer it like that you should definitely make a visit here. I get a regular gel pedicure and enjoy it all the way through, great foot scrub and massage.

I made last minute plans to surprise a friend in San Diego, which I also needed to make a last minute pedicure appointment! Z Nail Spa was nearby my home so it popped up first on my Google maps. The reviews looked good and so did photos, so I parked by the establishment. It’s right on the corner and has parking on the side, which is so helpful given the area otherwise does not have much parking available. I was taken as a walk-in and the owner was so kind and welcoming. It seemed like she knew all her clients on a personal level. I will gladly go back. It was quick and well-priced with good quality!

I called in for last minute appointment. It was around 12:45pm and by 1:00 I was there. Soon as I walked in I was seated and Natalie began to cut my hair. I'm very appreciative that Natalie knew exactly how much hair to cut off. I told her I wanted it right below the shoulder and she did just that! She made sure not to over cut my hair. She cut off a good amount without making my hair look too short and Im very happy with the new length because I have wavy frizzy hair and if it's cut too short it puffs up badly. Natalie did not rush through my hair cut and it was fairly quick. She was also gentle. Good price for hair cut too, not overpriced. I was also glad they accepted card payments. THANK YOU!

In August of this year, we contracted with Albion Plumbing to install 2 new toilets and 3 outside faucets. (Hose bibs) The two plumbers who performed the work were, Aldolfo and Eligio. Both were very experienced and professional. They did a great job, from set up to clean up.
Aldolfo was also the person who surveyed our home a few days earlier to verify the scope of work. The estimate was provided by Michael, who helped us with final pricing and scheduling the work. All 3 men were easy to work with.

It’s been a few weeks since our new kitchen floor was installed, and I wanted to share how happy we are with the outcome and with the work. Almost every day one of us will stop in the kitchen and say “wow it looks so beautiful.” Flamingo's Flooring showed excellent attention to detail, and the craftsmanship and care shown by the installers really make the difference. For a smaller operation they easily compete with and surpass any "big guys" out there. We had fast, personal, and courteous attention every step of the way from the home visit to installation and after. They have the inventory and experience to do any job from a small vinyl installation on up. What's more, it's all personal, one-on-one, and caring -- no 800 numbers or anonymous websites.
I'm not usually one to write long reviews, but CG interiors pulled through. Finding discontinued flooring is usually a nightmare, but he handled it like a pro. Not only did he source the exact wood I needed from the distributor, but he actually looked out for my wallet and got me a lower price than he initially quoted.
What really blew me away was the installation masterclass he gave me. He walked me through everything: how to do 'noise-cancelling' by running underlayment up the wall, overlapping seams perpendicular to the floor, and using flexible caulk for my tile transitions. He even gave me the lowdown on chemical refinishing so I can keep my floor good as new forever.
I loved how easy it was to communicate with him. I work a hectic night schedule and we coordinated everything via text. If you call the shop and get the voicemail, definitely give a listen to the greeting :) --he's super responsive and made the delivery stress-free.
If you're doing a flooring project and want a master who truly cares about the final result, this is the spot. Thanks again for all the help!
Exceptional Remodeling Team — Quality, Care, and Craftsmanship
We completed a major remodel of roughly half our 1951 home with LB Construction & Remodeling, including reconfiguring walls, adding a brand-new bathroom, and completely reworking an old one. Because the house is older, we needed thoughtful ideas to make the space work better for how we actually live today. Liran came in with creative, practical suggestions that we ultimately moved forward with, and designers were brought in to prepare plans and permits.
Throughout the project, Adi, our project manager, was an absolute standout. He is one of the kindest, most attentive people I’ve ever worked with—always communicative, frequently on-site, and uncompromising when it came to quality. His attention to detail was exceptional, and nothing escaped his notice.
I also have the highest admiration for Flavio, the lead contractor. His craftsmanship is outstanding. We didn’t choose the easiest design solutions, but the end result—especially our primary bathroom shower tile—is truly a work of art and something everyone comments on.
We are extremely pleased with the entire LB team and highly recommend them. They hit that rare sweet spot: high-quality work at a price we could afford.
We asked Oscar to help us remodel our condo and from the get-go, we realised that we made the right choice. Oscar was very patient, and understanding and went above and beyond to ensure that our home looked great.
As we were both newbies, he had very helpful advice on where to buy materials from, and he also pitched in with things that he thought would enhance our aesthetic. For instance, we bought a kitchen backsplash tile that had to be special ordered and Oscar got us an accent end for our backsplash that complemented the tile perfectly.
I could go on and on. The project took about four weeks from start to finish and I don't remember feeling any anxiety about it at all. Oscar has this way of putting your mind at easy.

I've called a few contractors but only requested 1 inspection and it was with these folks because they've provided confidence from initial contact. Extremely patient, answered all of my questions and thorough at every step of the process. Timeline for scope of work was accurate. Price felt fair for the work, thoroughness, and confidence. Highly recommend.
I highly recommend Villatoro Construction. They performed a number of renovations at my home and in addition to being extremely competitive in price, they created a realistic schedule and stuck to it. Victor Villatoro was very easy to deal with and his crew was wonderful. I could not have asked for better communication or more painstaking care of my home and its contents. They are careful, thorough, and take pride in their work. Best of all, any issues I had during and after the work was completed were speedily and satisfactorily addressed. This is the kind of company we all wish we could find, but which seems to be increasingly rare today.
A year ago, the total remodel of our kitchen in our 1936 home was completed. I waited to write a review to determine the lasting satisfaction of the remodel. The remodel was a full demo of the old kitchen including removing a wall to add an arch between the kitchen and the dining room. Replacement of two windows. Full custom cabinetry allowed us to have exactly the fit and function we desired. All new up-sized appliances (from Friedmans Appliances in Pleasant Hill...highly recommended). The new kitchen was fitted with new hardwood floors that were made to perfectly match the existing floors in the living room and dining room Overall, the kitchen is gorgeous and its function fits exactly how we want to use a kitchen Welte was great to work with. It started with a thorough review of the plans and a detailed proposal which included what work was planned, expected timeframe and committed costs. The project itself went very smoothly. Protection of the existing spaces was always top priority (including awareness and care of our two indoor cats). Some change orders along the way were added to cover requests that were not part of the initial plan. Welte used some subcontractors for things like flooring and dry wall construction. They stood by the quality of those that did work for them. The people were very professional and personable. It was a pleasure to work with them, which included a project manager (Andrew), project coordinator (Julie), lead craftsman (Rick who was on site every workday) and assistant (Al), and specialists as needed (e.g. electrician). Bill Welte, the owner, was always accessible and oversaw the project to assure top quality, a very easy job for him as the skill and talent of his crew was top notch. There may be less expensive contractors but we got full value from the high level of quality and workmanship. As a thank you from Bill for trusting Welte Construction with our remodel, after the project was completed he paid to have all the windows in our home professionally cleaned. A very nice touch. So, one year later... We are still totally enamored with our kitchen. The quality was put in from the get go and I know it will stand up for years to come. I highly recommend Welte Construction for any projects you may be considering. The bigger the better I believe.
What a wonderful experience I had working with The Garden Girls!
I wanted to work with a small, local company who could give me ideas on all new plants for my front and backyard, as well as planting them. After doing some research, I decided to go with The Garden Girls and called Barb. Since she lives nearby, she was able to come out that afternoon, and while talking to Barb, I knew I had made the right choice. She's passionate about her work and is extremely knowledgeable of her plants and what works best in the area.
Barb sent me drawings of the plants she chose and where they would be placed, along with descriptions of each plant. There were a few that I had in the past and didn't really like, and so Barb selected other varieties for these with no problem at all. She also suggested some minor changes be made to the existing rock landscape. These small changes made a huge difference!
Ed and Stacy did the planting and changes to the rocks, and are the most hard-working and dedicated workers I've seen. Their attention to detail is beyond, and they were always ready to answer any questions I had.
While planting, Stacy suggested putting a succulent garden in an existing cracked birdbath I had in the backyard. Ed did the planting for this, and was extremely meticulous when doing so. When finished, it was absolutely beautiful, and so I had him do the same to an old birdbath in the front yard.
My yards are beyond gorgeous and bring me so much happiness now.
Ed and Stacy also removed and replaced mulch in my Mom's front yard, and Ed created yet two more beautiful succulent gardens in her backyard. One being in a three-tiered fountain that had leaked and was no longer being used. Once again, Ed did an amazing job and the succulents have added so much color to the yard.
I highly recommend Barb and her team to anyone looking to have landscape work done.

Love nice teeth dental. I have had ADHD my entire life and this is the first dentist who didn't make me feel badly for missing appointments, or not having great childhood dental hygiene. They also always explain my options instead of suggesting the most expensive one and working backwards. They have parking, the staff is great + theres always a great house music playlist playing. 10/10 have recommended to everyone I know.

At 72 years of age, I have many years of experience with dental offices and dentists.
This provider stands out for several reasons so I want to let others to know the reason I am recommending them.
1. They serve both HMO and PPO Delta Dental patients!
Many dentists will not accept HMO MEDICARE which often serves folks unable to pay higher premiums, because the HMO plan reimburses dentists at a lower rate. Unfortunately, the ones that do, in my experience, often pad their bills by adding procedures not coveted by insurance. These costs are passed onto patients as out of pocket costs. The providers often refused service unless I was willing to pay!
2. Cali care dentists offer the most current dental care practices which Delta refuses to cover. Fortunately, CALI Care will let you know which costs are not covered by insurance before they initiate the care.
3. The front desk is very knowledgeable and responds quickly via phone.
4. Their hygienists and dentists provide the most thorough deep cleaning!
6. You feel welcomed as soon as you enter the office; and feel you are amongst friends!
Every other DELTA HMO provider I DELTA’s Medicare HMO program (tried4) referred me to, with one exception, employed very deceptive practices designed to earn money for procedures not covered by the HMO Medicare plan. CALI-Care is different; they are honest brokers whose owners are onsite and seem to have their patient’s best interests as their primary goal. Kudos to them!”
Our family has been coming to Dr. Hipolito for 16 years. He has uubeen the only dentist our 3 kids has seen. They have never feared going to an appointment, even as toddlers. The staff is always friendly and on top of reminding us of our appointments. Dr. Hipolito is gentle and has a great connection with the kids! Can't rave enough about this office.
I'm so glad we found Dr. Brian, went in for a second opinion since her previous dentist wanted to try anesthesia right away for her cavities. Dr. Brian gave me options and luckily laughing gas worked for her. Michelle, is super nice and the rest of the staff that has worked on my daughter's teeth as well. Will continue to refer them to my friends and family.
Everyone was very professional and attentive. I didn’t have to wait long. Every procedure was explained thoroughly and I felt very comfortable.
I had a filling from 2009 replaced today, and the entire procedure was smooth. The numbing process was quick and painless and I barely felt the injection. Dr. Scott’s skill, care, and calm presence made the whole experience painless. My family has trusted him for nearly 20 years, and that long standing care really shows. I highly recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for a truly excellent dentist.

I’ve been going to this dental office since 2001. Dr. Ching took over from Dr, Bich and she made a great decision in turning over the practice to him when she retired. I loved the service with Dr. Bich. Dr, Ching, Christina, Linda, and Crystal really took care of my major and minor dental needs over 15 plus years. They are always patient about explaining before every procedure, even if it’s just x-rays. I drive from the Berkeley area 2-3 times a year and never regret it because the quality of service and care.
I have been going here for my dental care a few years now and it's always a pleasure to see Dr. Alicia and the rest of the staff. The front desk staff alway acknowledges me when I come in and are so kind.
Dr. Alicia provides excellent care and explains everything to me in a way I can understand it. The Hygienist are also kind and make me feel comfortable with the experience I have. When you hear the care team interact with eachother you can tell they are a tight nit group and that is important with any team.
I'd strongly suggest going in for your dental care needs and maintenance! ^_^

Super convenient location for me! Classes are a fair price, the cheapest so far for me. They have a lot of equipment available for people. The only con is street parking. Might get lucky or not finding close parking. I had to park 2 blocks away when I went for the first time. I do look forward going back when I don't feel like going far for my usual yoga classes.

I went to Jim after having foot and ankle pain for a long 11 months post partum. I had tried everything (stretches, various types of yoga, strengthening, foam rolling, self massage, acupuncture etc) and although I would get small incremental relief, it never lasted long. I read the 5 star reviews and knew I had to book. I booked for 90 minutes and asked for a focus on calves and feet, I briefly explained my problem and when it began and he got to work! I let him know I typically like deep pressure when he asked but never interrupted him while he was working even though there wasn’t a “deep pressure” on my calves that I thought my calves needed, I could tell he was doing something different.. man am I super glad I let the master do his work because apparently I still had residual fluid in my feet and ankles from pregnancy that I had no idea about and he worked it out of my feet. Swelling I didn’t even know I had went away immediately after and continued to go down a little bit more the following days and the tightness and soreness I had been feeling in my calves is gone and my feet/ankles are soooo so much better even 2 weeks after my massage. When he did work on my back a bit, I also felt that deep work pressure I typically like for deep tissue and I can’t wait to get to that bodywork next because I know it is going to not just feel good “pain” in the moment but the actual underlying healing will be profound. So glad I found Jim! He is incredibly knowledgeable and intuitive.
Nina is warm, friendly, caring, professional, and gifted at her craft. This massage was by far, hands down (no pun intended) the best I’ve ever had. I did 45 mins massage and 20 mins of cupping. I left feeling such an incredible amount of relief on my extremely tight back and shoulders. She has a talent for finding your knots, right where they are most tense, and releasing them. Her studio was clean and inviting. I will definitely be returning again!
I've been a client here for five years and have seen four different massage therapists in that time. They are all professional and skilled healers who provide excellent draped massage. The facility is clean and comfortable. The aroma and music they use are very relaxing. They've helped me recovery from major surgery as well as keeping me limber during strength training. Haven Day Spa is my go to spot for last minute fixes whenever those random knots start making themselves known. I usually see Lucy who is amazing, but I have had a couple of other therapists who were great too... I just cannot remember their names. One thing I really appreciate is that the hot stones are basically included without an extra charge. I hope I am saying that right, but either way it is always a nice touch.
