The Cottage on State is a gem in NE Olympia. It’s a salon as well as a retail location for unique vintage and antique, new and used items like jewelry, decor and garden items. The owner, Shelley is a lovely, kind, and ethical person. There’s always a treasure to find, and a great conversation to be had.

My husband & I both had acrylic manicures and pedicures. Our appt was at 9am, we arrived about 15 minutes early and they invited us in to get started. This is the best manicure and pedicure we have had in many, many months. We live full-time in our RV and travel the county; we have had some good experiences and some poor one. This was by far the very best. Clean salon and work stations, peaceful and quiet...no chatter between the technicians. We can highly recommend and will come back when we are in the Olympia area again. J & j

Tatiana was absolutely amazing! I went in for a full Brazilian Wax. I used to get them regularly, but it's been a while. I purchased her Groupon package based on other client reviews, and I'm SO glad I did! She is a fantastic aesthetician, and both personable and professional. She made me comfortable, we had great conversation, but she was incredibly thorough and did a fabulous job. Next appointment has been scheduled!

Here I was greeted at the door by Tim, Who was very welcoming. I proceeded to get a pedicure by Helen, who helped me relax, and did a very good job in her massage!! I then got a manicure from Mia Who was patient, kind, and understanding that I wasn’t sure how to explain what I wanted. She explained how certain looks would help with my wide fingers and I got a wider coffin style shaped nail that fits Perfectly!!! I love that the people here listened and explained and help me Figure out exactly what I wanted with a great experience!! I highly recommend!!!

I got the Ultimate Aqua Glow Facial with Amber and it was fantastic! My skin has never felt so soft and looked so glowy. She was so sweet and made me feel super comfortable! Definitely recommend!

Poonam is the very best! I've been going to her to get my eyebrows and lips threaded for many years and she's so knowledgable and professional. Her threading helps me form the best eyebrow shape and I highly recommend anybody to go to "The Arch Maestro" to get threading done. She's so amazing at what she does that she has a no tip policy. Scheduling with her is so easy and she was so so sweet and understanding when I had to make appointment changes.

I needed somewhere to get a perm before prom and I couldn’t find anything where I live, I stumbled upon salon 360 and decided to give it a try and I made a very good decision coming here, Michael did an amazing job on my hair and he was really funny and nice and such an awesome dude to have a conversation with. First time Brazilian with Arisha and she was wonderful. I am plus sized (size 20) and I have a skin condition (HS). Melissa and Arisha looked stuff up about it and created a custom after care plan for me. The salon was very clean. I felt super comfortable and never felt ashamed which is funny given the funny positions you're in. All in all I would recommend them time after time!

I recently got a lucky Chinese cat tattoo at Exile Tattoos in Olympia, Washington, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! The tattooing process took less than an hour, but the quality and detail in the work are outstanding.
My husband and I decided to get a tattoo on a whim, and they fit us right in as walk ins. We first met with Gwen, we was incredibly kind and patient. My husband got the “get what you get tattoo” and he was incredibly happy with the results! Luis, my artist, was super nice and helpful. He paid incredible attention to detail and always checked to see how I was doing throughout the session. His professionalism and skill really stood out, making the experience comfortable and enjoyable.
The studio was clean and welcoming, had the coolest “gothic” aesthetic and the staff made my husband and I feel at ease from the moment we walked in.

Got a new tat today with Tommy Smith. Always knew he was an amazing artist but him doing out tats for the first time blew us away. The tats are clean and look awesome. We love the shop it has so much awesome decorations in it and is very clean. It was nice and cold as well which is a plus during the summer. Definitely our new tat place and would definitely recommend. Expect more business coming your way for sure.

From the beginning of the project to the end, everything these guys have done has been great. I was impressed by how professional and knowledgeable every single person I talked to was. From answering my questions when I set up an appointment, all the way to last minute tips on maintenance before they left, they have been wonderful. They helped me understand the technology involved and gave me ideas for what to do in the future. Our technician, Geoffrey, was friendly, worked fast, and communicated everything very well. Garth and the team at Ridgecreek Plumbing are the best. Ridgecreek did the plumbing for a major remodel at our house we did a few years ago. That work was top notch. We recently had a problem with a leaking bathtub drain. A plumber from Ridgecreek came by soon after I called and diagnosed the problem (the tub drain hose had a hole, apparently caused someone or something chewing on it) and fixed it. So glad to know a plumbing company that is responsive, professional, and does great work. I highly recommend Ridgecreek Plumbing.
I called Longo's Plumbing to relocate and install a new hot water heater. Cameron arrived as scheduled, was professional and did an excellent job start to finish. I had a great experience with Plumb Line laying an underground natural gas line. The two employees that did the work were very friendly and shared helpful and informative advice to me regarding other projects. They even repaired my water main line that I personally damaged while digging the trench for the gas line. I only received one other quote for this job and it was from a company that was highly recommended to me from three separate individuals, however Plumb Line was about 20% cheaper. I’m glad I went with Plumb Line, they did good work and I saved some money.

We had a pipe begin leaking at a valve after the cold snap even though there weren't signs it froze. All the local plumbers were full up and we needed help quickly. They sent Scott, who was very honest about the risks with our old house, that the pricing is mid- high, and gave us some general estimates on doing the remaining work our house needs. He was able to successfully fix the pipe despite the risks, install a nicer valve and give us a heads up on any upcoming problem areas. Much appreciated.

I’m not always the glowing review type of gal, but these guys are truly top-notch. Our pipes froze and also the on-demand water heater froze and broke during the recent storms. Despite being slammed by many other similar calls, Chris took the time to reassess the system we had in place since it had never function very well. He recommended another system and did all the calculations in the middle of his busy day in order to get us set up.Both the plumbers that came out to get the septic working again, and the plumbers that came out to install the new hot water heater were excellent.It is rare to find a company of this quality these days, so it feels pretty satisfying to write such a glowing review.
Amazing service! We had 3 light fixtures replaced with 3 complex ceiling fan light fixtures (to include ceiling fan box installs) and the service was both time and cost effective. They take care of military families too as they are a veteran-owned business. They are very kind and upfront about the costs and they have affordable set prices and don’t try to run up prices like a lot of bigger electric companies and electricians. We called Mr. Electric Because of a problem with a light, not knowing if the problem was in the light fixture or the wiring. We made an appointment which required a wait of two weeks. Before the day of the appointment, they called to reschedule, and we waited an additional two weeks. Once the electricians arrived, things went very smoothly. We were very pleased with their work and their professionalism. They were pleasant, and took the time to explain what needed to be done and what they were doing. We had some additional work done in the house and were pleased with all they did. Mr. electric is expensive, but we would call them again.
Preface, I personally was not the client. I was just an employee of the company that hired Reliable. I was working alongside Richard and John in collaboration on a larger project involving industrial machinery.They had absolutely no need to take time out of their days to help the millwright out with my side of the project that was outside of the scope of their contract. But they did. They took the time to teach me a lot of tips and tricks on conduit bending, making wire pulling easier, how to make things look tidier and last longer. My 8yr old discovered this giant nope nest playing with her friends. We have coverage from another company and they were answering their phone on a Saturday. I called 2 other pest control places and no one answered their phone. My husband found Jason and Jason came to the rescue within 30 minutes. I have two young kids and a neighborhood full of kids who love to play in our yard. I cannot express how grateful I am for him coming out on a Saturday to deal with a bald-headed hornet nest! I even had a door to door pest control come to my house this morning and they wouldn't even remove the nest that they swore was wasps. Jason even said he would be back tomorrow, A SUNDAY!, to pick up all the nope nest and make sure they are all dead. 10/10 would recommend!
I bought some sod yesterday, it looks way better than what they sell at Lowe's or other places. They cut it the night before or the morning of the day you pick it up. So it doesn't sit on a pallet in the parking lot for days or weeks.And !! It's priced better than the other stores. I wouldn't buy anywhere else from now on

I had reached out to Josh about 2 years ago and he was so nice and kind back then that when I was actually ready to do the job he instantly came to mind. I paid a little more than originally quoted but I still thought it was a fair deal considering. His company did the most awesome job for us. They came out and within a few hours all of our annoying blackberry bushes were gone. Like gone gone. I was so shocked when I saw it that I can't not just go out and stare at it. I know those bushes were pushing on the neighbors fence and it was stressing me out. The price was so spot on and perfect for what they did. I'd recommend this company any day for anything they offer. Once I said yes to the job he made it happen in the perfect amount of time. One thing I wish we would have done was the clean up but if we have them come out and do it after the fact I'll update my post w more pics. I got estimates from three companies. The quote from Dead or Alive Tree Service was the lowest. They showed up on time, removed the Cypress Tree that was up against the deck and damaged in the recent wind storm in an afternoon. They cleaned up and hauled away everything. A great job.
Erik and his crew have done a great job with our trees twice in the past year. Last fall we needed trees and shrubbery trimmed away from our house to secure homeowner's insurance, and they created a nice clean border all the way around--which is saying something, considering the yards hadn't been maintained for some time. More recently, the plum tree in our backyard lost a big limb in a windstorm and another was cracked from the weight of snow. Olympia Tree Team got the limbs cut back and cleaned up, chipped them, and left us the woodchips as requested for mulch. They worked quickly and on our schedule. We'll definitely hire them again to help keep our trees tidy!
Contacted Tim about a very large dead fir on our property line near my neighbor's shed. Tim came out and gave an estimate within a day or two, and Tim and Josh were back today (about a week later). Josh climbed and made quick work of the tree. Start to finish they were done in 2 hours with no damage and all the logs exactly where they said they'd be. We really appreciate their attention to detail and making sure our neighbor's property wasn't affected.Their work was really impressive.

I have been dealing with severe pain of tailbone/coccyx for over 2 years and no one could figure out why. After my initial consult Dr. Neely took the time to review my X-rays, and by my second appointment he had figured out the problem and referred me to a specialist to be able to correct the problem. I finally have a light at the end of a very long, and painful tunnel and I am so grateful to him for finding a solution. 10/10 recommend.

The first time I visited, Dr. Tim took me as a walk-in. I was in a lot of pain. Neck, leg, lower back. I came back a couple of times a week for the first few weeks. However, within the first adjustment I was feeling better. He is empathetic and professionally skilled at adjustments. I live in Eugene Oregon and I have not found a better chiropractor. Needless to say I try to get up here at least once a month for him to keep me in shape and see a massage therapist in between. He also has a sense of humor, you won't be sorry you chose him.

I love oly cats. They take great care of my cat. She's pretty scared of everything, but they always handle her with care. They have always cared more about what is best for my cat than making an extra buck. At first, I was put off by their new rule about charging before going, but sounds like they had no other choice because people did not show to their appointments. They are a trustworthy vet, in my opinion, highly recommend.

Had another great visit to Evergreen Veterinary Hospital this Monday. My tiny bantam hen got sick last week on Thursday , (lethargic, puffy, eyes closed) and Dr. Hamilton got me in on his first day back in the office (Monday morning). I was so thankful for how thorough he was with her. He did an ultrasound and ended up manually checking her vent and discovered that she had had a soft-shelled egg pop inside of her and the shell was stuck. He was able to remove it and she's now on antibiotics to combat the infection and is feeling SO much better! A few more days and she'll be good as new. By actually taking the time to remove the source of the infection (rather than just prescribing antibiotics and sending us on our way) he absolutely saved her life! I am so grateful! I've been telling everyone who asks how wonderful he is! So, in case your staff share the reviews with you, Dr. Hamilton, please know that my family and I are so grateful to you for saving Peachy. <3
I can not begin to express my gratitude to Boulevard animal clinic. We have 3 little dog's that are basically Just like children with fur. We care so much for them and by having Dr. Braun as their veterinarian makes us feel that they are in the best care possible. Dr. Mike is always great. Best bet I've been to and always takes his time to explain everything. I have a reactive dog and he is the only vet that is allowed to touch him.
I was immediately impressed! I found a wounded kitty on the side of Steamboat Island Road who needed immediate help. It was almost 6pm on a Friday eve. I drove there and the door was locked, but I knocked anyway. Two very friendly techs answered the door. I explained the situation and they could see how upset I was. Even though they didn't have a vet there, they took the kitty in and told me they would make it comfortable until the vet could examine him in the morning. I was so appreciative of their professionalism and compassion!
This clinic has always been on top of the care for our sandy. They even made arrangements so we could pick up some medication after hours since we live way out of town. They fought as hard as we did to keep our elder dog (18) as healthy as could be. They were very kind when bone cancer showed on X-ray along with a fracture and waited tell I could get there after work so I could say good bye.
This review is a little late, but better late...when Dr. Green first came to the area, my corgi, Zoe, was diagnosed with scaring in her esophagus in 2 places that kept closing up. At a medical conference Dr Green found out about a ground-breaking procedure and prototype. I was able to have my Zoe quite a few good years because of his williness to work with me and the inventors of that prototype. THANK YOU, DR GREEN!!
I had an exceptional experience with Mandy! She provided top-notch grooming services for my dog, leaving him looking and feeling fantastic. Her attention to detail and care for the animals is truly commendable. I highly recommend her services to anyone in need of a skilled and caring groomer. Five stars all the way!

My little guy Mickey can hardly wait to get out of the car when we arrive. Carrie does a fantastic job on him, he always looks so cute and clean. Also I love that the dogs get to socialize, nobody is in a crate. During the Christmas season Dave takes a holiday picture of your best friend and post's it, so you can have that beautiful memorie. You won't be disappointed in this place.

I decided to try this place out! I gotta say I had the best back massage ever since I went overseas! They walk on your back and massage every muscle that really was bothering me and they got it! Nothing sketchy nor bad about it plus reasonable price for 30 mins $35 or 1 hour for $60!

Barb is amazing and her office is very comfortable. I was surprised how in depth she went regarding my overall personal health and health history to understand what was going on with me. She spent more time than I expected investigating the reasons why I was experiencing my headaches. She reviewed everything from my current activities such as work and home daily routines and past activities or injuries. I was really impressed.
Her office was very clean and relaxing. I had not had a massage in the past and had zero idea of what to expect. 24 hours later I am still feeling the results of my neck and upper back being significantly less tense, (even after a fairly stressful work day).
100% recommend and look forward to my next appointment.

Jessica is a well trained masseuse. I suffer from numbing and tingling fingers and from pain in my neck and shoulders from years of labor intensive work. I did the therapeutic massage which is her highest cost massage and it was the best I've ever had. It was intense pressure but it's what my body needed from years of pain. If you know what you're getting into and going to suffer some slight discomfort from the intensive pressure you'll know that you're causing healing in those painful spots. I'll definitely be back and recommend to friends and family.
Trey is one of the most wonderful people I have had the pleasure to meet and work with. I suffer from EDS, a hypermobility diagnosis, and in the 6 months I have been seeing Trey things I have been making marked improvements. Epic IS epic! We are sad to have completed everything because we shall miss the fine souls at EPIC. My daughter had major foot surgery and we made the best choice imaginable by continuing her therapy here. We shall cherish this gentle time of healing in a vibrant atmosphere.

It is great to have someone that thinks in the same manner as I do for health in a natural way, looking to deal with the root issues instead of simply addressing symptoms. Very satisfied with my experience, instructor's did a great job, they truly want you to succeed. They were even willing to let me have extra time at the facility after I was done with schooling to stay brushed up for my testing. Mud flaps
