“I had no idea fitness could be so fun and actually achievable. I’m pretty new to this only 50 classes in but I can say if I can do it anyone can. You just start where you’re at and the program and coaches at OrangeTheory make it possible.
The staff (Layne and Vy) at this West Olympia location are wonderful. They always greet you by name and often already have you set up for your preferred station. A little thing that makes you feel like you’re part of the family.
The coaches really make the difference in this journey and Head Coach Kaia is fun, funny and pushes just hard enough to make you do a little more than you thought you could. Coach Aubrey and Jake are enthusiastic and encouraging and always watchful of your technique while making you give it your all. Coach Vy is an amazing staff and coach. I would love to see her coach more classes. It’s like having a personal cheerleader!! Thank you all at West Oly OTF.“

“I’ve been training at the Olympia Planet Fitness since May (a little over two months now), consistently coming in 3 to 4 days a week.

Because of my schedule, I’m able to go during the less crowded mid-morning or mid-afternoon hours. I can’t speak to how packed it gets during the pre-work or post-work rush, but during the middle of the day, it’s fantastic.

The Positives:

The Staff & Cleanliness: The staff here are incredibly friendly, and the equipment is consistently clean and well-maintained. I’d estimate about half the people working out actively wipe down their machines after use, which is great.

The General Vibe: For the most part, it is a genuine, judgment-free zone. Most people are there to mind their own business, focus on their health, and get their workout done. There’s no annoying video recording, and the overall atmosphere is kind and welcoming.

The One Downside:

As a beginner lifter who is working hard to lose some weight, I have run into a few young men (or teenagers) who walk around carrying a bit too much ego. I’ve noticed them smirking, looking down on everyday lifters (like us busy 40-year-old dads), or ego-lifting and occasionally snickering at older or weaker folks like myself. It can feel a bit uncomfortable when you run into that.

Overall:
Despite those few bad apples, they are the absolute minority. The vast majority of members and staff make this a highly supportive, clean, and positive place to train. If you are a beginner, a parent, or just someone looking to build a consistent routine without gym drama, this location is a great fit. Highly recommend!“

“I have been working with Aki for a few months now. I have a good background of training and gym knowledge, but I really needed to change it up to reach my goals. The team is incredibly knowledgeable and it was the perfect kickstart that I needed. It's a fun environment and I appreciate that they always target the entire body. I can't recommend them enough.“
