She listened to my concerns and shared her thoughts about how to cut my hair for the most volume and ease of care. We recently moved to Olympia and I told her that finding a stylist who understood fine hair was more stressful than finding a primary care doctor, but Yvonne reassured me and I ended up with an excellent cut that will be easy to maintain. “There was a mix up with my appointment so I could not see my regular stylist. However, the front desk staff was very apologetic and helpful and got me in with another stylist who did a great job. Their system is wonky so if you are driving a distance like me, double check the appointment before heading out. Don’t trust the text message, call them to confirm.“

The initial cost is pricey, but it includes a lot of information and training. I like that they offer bang trims for $8 that you can do in between full on cuts. All of the products that were recommended to me were the same price as what I was paying for my hair products from Ulta (which claimed to be good for curls but had a lot of hidden, harmful additives). I also double checked their product prices against the manufacturers websites, and they don’t upcharge at all! Since my haircut, I’ve had less shedding, more curls, and spend less time and heat styling. I was initially worried about getting a curly cut since my hair is usually wavy at best, but they made me feel very comfortable and like I was in the right place! They really emphasized being proud of one’s own hair texture and not comparing to others.“
