I'm an HOA officer x 8 years. 223 homes. Both the HOA & individual owners have utilized Ted's services for many years. For the HOA, he's done a lot of beautiful cedar fence work. He also put a new roof & gutters on the structure over our community mailboxes. For owners, its been all kinds of home repairs, interior & exterior. My standards for a skilled tradesman were set by my father, who was 45 years in the Carpenters & Joiners of America. Ted's work ethic is like my dad's. Show up, get the work done, do it right, do it on time. He doesn't cut corners with things like permits, doesn't use cheap materials that won't last, and he won't surprise the owner with unexpected costs. In fact, if Ted sees something outside the job that needs fixing, he may very well fix it for free, so long as its not too major. Thats just how he is. This is a man who works by the old adage "your word is your bond". It's old school, but it's something you can have faith it. Right now, Ted Hanks is the only contractor I recommend. What else can I say? Here's Ted, between jobs, in the attic space of a dear friend of mine, straightening out the mess someone else made of her dryer vent. Gratis.
