“Super responsive. We needed a runner installed on some wooden stairs that we had purchased on line and required putting two runners together with padding. It was clear via his specific questions that he was very knowledgeable (compared to others I was in communication with who only asked a few questions). He asked for photos, patiently responded to a variety of questions (even when it was an evening on a weekend) and was prompt, very clean, and did a great job. Very friendly and personable. Quote was lower than others as well. Would definitely recommend.“
“We recently wrapped up our down-to-studs bathroom remodel with the Handyjew team, and we had an incredibly positive experience.Josh was always available to chat and delve into every minute detail and question that I wanted to discuss (there were a lot). “I shopped around for flooring, originally on a mission to get vinyl plank for a major house addition, and through that process, I learned that what mattered to me most was was service, knowledge, and support, and most stores just didn't measure up in this regard. But Baila was different. It was clear to me that Michael cared about the products on offer, stocked good brands he stands behind, and was willing to steer me away from brands that were showing consistent problems with installation.After a couple of visits to look at the waterproof (vinyl) flooring (all very nice), I decided that putting plastic floors down in my old house was not going to make me -- or the environment -- happy long term, so I switched gears and visited the store a couple more times to look at the engineered hardwood. When it came time to make a decision, Michael coached me through narrowing the choices, sent me home with five samples, and gave me what felt like a great deal on my final choice.Bonus: arrive after 3PM on a Friday for an eye-opening display of Oakland's finest street walkers!“

“Reading through all the past reviews; looks like 2014 was just a bad year. Fast forward to 2023, and with Medine at the helm, we had a FANTASTIC experience. She has a very sharp eye for detail, and when she gives you a time for when she'll show up, she keeps her word. We got a kitchen island installed for MUCH, MUCH less than other contractors we spoke with. She communicates well via phone and text, and from our experience, she delivered everything as promised. She was knowledgeable about all the necessary housing codes, and everything worked out amazingly well in the end. It's too bad yelp only goes as high as 5 stars; we'd give a perfect 10 in a heartbeat if we could! We look forward to hiring her for our next big project!“
