Sharon is the best. She provides great customer care on the current haircut and how to maintain the style moving forward. After having some terrible cuts in the Clarendon area, she is a hidden gem. Overall the whole experience at lifespa is great, well worth the money given other barbers charging $45 for a cut that lasts 10 minutes.
I cannot recommend Micaela enough! She is truly the only hair stylist who knows how to do my blonde balayage exactly the way I like it. Every time I leave her chair, my hair looks natural, seamless, and perfectly blended—never stripey or harsh like I’ve experienced elsewhere. She has such an eye for detail and understands how to create that soft, sun-kissed look I’ve always wanted. I’ve finally found someone I can fully trust with my color, and I won’t go to anyone else!

We started working with Dr. Kim at the beginning of this year due to struggling with weight loss and some general symptoms of not feeling well. In the course of 6 months, I lost 20 pounds and my fiancé lost 35 pounds. On top of that, the constant midday crash that I battled on a daily basis, finally gone! She is a miracle worker, not only for what’s going on internally but also externally as she has also helped me recover from a rough neck injury, along with the work of her fascia specialist, Jacque. Jordan is amazing- she has such great energy & achieved the perfect base color on our first visit (which has proved elusive with more than a few other stylists!) Can’t wait to layer in some balayage at our next appointment. Ashy brunette + gray coverage can be tough to achieve, but I couldn’t be more pleased with how closely this resembles my natural tone. I feel like myself, again. I also love that this is a Milbon salon- they have the best treatments if your hair needs a little TLC!

I also love that her salon is private. She is only spending time with you when you come, unlike other mainstream salons where they might be doing 2-3 people’s hair and you’re being washed and dried by someone else.

Chahira is the best! She really took care of my hair and listened to my requests. My hair was super dry coming in, and I was expecting it to get drier after my cut & dye, but Chahira somehow made my hair feel the healthiest it's ever been even after the bleach and dye. Can't recommend her enough if you're looking for a colorist!

One of the most qualified hair professionals I've ever been to and it shows. I haven't walked out of a hair salon totally happy with the results in years and Dina was able to do that for me. I got a Brazilian Blowout done after years of being on a natural hair journey and feeling burnout out (my hair is 3C/4a combination). It's been a few days since my appointment, so I cannot speak in the long term, but I feel like it was definitely the right decision. My hair is more manageable and easier to maintain. The haircut that came with the treatment also fits me perfectly and is the most even and fitting hairstyle for my face that I've gotten. One of the best parts of going to Dina's salon was the experience of being the sole client in the salon, in an intimate, comfortable setting. Dina truly gives you her full attention and it shows in the results. She also is able to educate you with tips on how to properly take care of your hair. You feel like you are in the salon with your friend and you do get to know her and she gets to know you. You feel empowered talking to her. You also walkout feeling like she wants you to look and feel your best. In the salon, she also has all her certifications lining the entirety of one wall, which matches her 30+ years of experience and gift with hair and beauty. I'd definitely recommend her services if you are willing to pay for her quality and experience. Kamil is talents are well utilized here, very nice man who gives an incredible haircut. They do take walk-ins but in my experiences sometimes you inquire, and they don't have any opening for a while, max wait I had was 30 minutes but it was enough that I would encourage you to make reservation just in case

Based on a recommendation from a neighbor, we took my son here for his first haircut around 1yo and have been consistently coming for the last 2 years! They are very kid friendly and have lots to do to keep kids entertained while waiting, during the cut, and a fun treat once done! My usually wiggly little guy is happy to sit (fairly!) still in the seat for his cut. They have shows, toys, books, popcorn & lollipops! The haircuts are also great - and more impressive knowing they're being done on squirmy little ones! we've had cuts from 4 of the different staff members and each one has been great! Can't recommend this place enough!
The price for the haircut is great, and the haircuts are always good, if your looking for a classic place to get a haircut this place is perfect I got a trim and it turned out great, I also love how the lady in the shop is always quick but still gets the job done, not that many people come here and the store is never crowded, I came in got in a seat and left in less than 20 minutes and loved the haircut, I definitely recommend coming here.

My experience was pretty good! I got to choose my colors for a dip and extension and worked with Anna. She was super nice and helpful. I will say the dip didn’t dry all the way, and part of it chipped in the process, but Anna was able to fix it. The finished product was worth trusting the process. The colors are stunning and I love the length and shape. First time trying a nail salon in falls church, and these employees made me feel very welcome. Anna did an amazing job on my nails!
The salon itself was very clean, easy to find and played very serene music as the TV played through national parks and major cities to visit in the US. They also have free starburst and a fridge with refreshments for guests, which is so sweet and quirky. Will be coming again!
Karyna is a master artist and consummate professional. Her kindness, attention to detail, mastery of her craft, and cleanliness of her space make every trip to get my nails done beyond enjoyable. She also has an incredible variety of colors and chrome powders that you can’t find anywhere else. She’s the only person I will let do my nails, and I cannot recommend her services enough!!

I had a wonderful first experience at Nilou MedSpa, found via Groupon. Nadia was my technician for a Hydrafacial. They use the real trademarked Hydrafacial machine, which is becoming rare in this area. They were very attentive to my needs and took extra time to figure out a plan for my sensitive skin. I’m happy I was steamed properly before the service started, some places don’t do that. The oxygen chamber addition was extremely relaxing, and felt like it cleared my sinus and headache away. My skin surprisingly healed quickly after the extractions, and felt way more hydrated. I will be returning to Nadia to make this Hydrafacial a part of my skincare ritual, and recommend to all my friends. I can see amazing results after just one treatment and am looking forward to what other services I can add on to my journey towards healthy even glowing skin!

Kiki is the best massage therapist/facialist I have ever known. She is professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and incredibly talented. I have had neck and shoulder pain and the pain is relieved by her massages. I absolutely fall asleep during the sessions because her studio is serene and she has a calming, expert presence. You just know you will be healthier and happier than when you arrived. Kiki is so gifted...she knows what your skin/hair/muscles need and can guide you to feeling and looking better. I see her at least two times per month, more often if I am able. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment.

Aura spa at Vida Fitness in Ballston is a hidden gem. I had the best facial with Elena! I have sensitive skin and the products were very soothing and effective. I enjoyed every step of the facial from the rejuvenating face massage, lymph drainage techniques, neck and shoulder stretches, gentle extractions, hot towels, etc. There was minimal talking so I was able to be present in my body to rest and restore. Ambiance is excellent. Customer service is great. I love the low key unpretentious vibe of this spa. You gotta check it out!
Eva is the best! I used to visit her at a upscale spa in DC until she opened her new place. Even though I am in Chevy Chase she is still my therapist. She knows what she is doing and is professional, kind and really works to identify the problem and to achieve long term pain relief. Highly recommend!!

The shops front office staff was polite and very patient and the overall theme of the shop is artistic but also very clean and sanitary I recommend for any first time tattoo appointments. Both my artist Gilda and the receptionist went over maintenance how it would feel, how to take care of with written pre printed instructions. Not to mention Gilda had my tattoo ready and when it was done it was exactly what I had in mind.

Khalid is terrific. Extremely responsive and attentive. We had a leak in our dishwasher. He came out and could not find the leak. He did not ask for any payment and we agreed I would keep an eye on it. Once I found the source he came right back and diagnosed what parts he needed to order. Again, he did not ask for payment. Once the ordered parts came in, he let me know and came back to fix it. He never asked to be paid until the problem was resolved. He is kind and so pleasant. I highly recommend him. He will not disappoint.
I recently hired Nizar to repair my Samsung gas oven in my rental. He was able to check it out the very next day for an $89 service fee which would be cancelled if we hired him for the repair.I sent him the address and he showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the situation as a faulty igniter. He was prepared to replace it right away for just under $300.I gave him the go-ahead and he shortly had that fixed up and my oven working. My tenant was so happy (he bakes incredible sourdough) and I didn't have to get involved.I definitely recommend Nizar for other landlords!

Carlos power washed my front wooden deck and rear stone patio. The work was done while I was out of town. When I returned I found the rear patio looking spectacular, but I was not thrilled with the front. I contacted Carlos who explained that he was worried about peeling to much stain off of the wood. When I told him I knew it would require some touch up staining he set a time to return and did an excellent job. He would not take my check until I was completely satisfied. I am happy to recommend Sonshine.

In mid November we worked with Beaulieu Floors on the refinishing and staining of our hardwood floor and they did a great job. We love our new floor, the stain is beautiful and the work product is very high quality. Louis, the owner, came out to our home to discuss the project with us. He provided his expertise and suggestions to help us closely match the stain we were looking for. Driss came out to our home before the start of the project and showed us prospective stains. We ended up going with a 50/50 combination of two colors. Communication was outstanding throughout the project. We received frequent text messages from Louis leading up to the start of the project. He also sent us a follow-up email after the project with tips and suggestions for protecting and cleaning our floor. It was a pleasure working with two professionals that cared so much about the success of our flooring project and customer satisfaction. It was great working with Omar and Rene, the crew that did the onsite work. They covered the vents and put up plastic over the doors so that little dust entered other areas of our home. Attention to detail was outstanding. For instance, the cuts on the shoe molding were precise. Cleanup was excellent. Every member of the team was courteous and professional. We highly recommend Beaulieu Floors and would work with them on future flooring projects.

Miracle Painters are a very professional and capable company. They repaired and painted the trim on our house, grinded and epoxied our garage floor beautifully, repaired some carpet and powerwashed and sealed our brickwork. They are fair priced, prompt and do a great job. I highly recommend them to do almost any handy work in addition to painting.

DMV did an excellent job on our bathroom remodel. We had contracted with an online design company who hired DMV and the design company screwed things up from beginning to end. I think the project ended up taking about 10 months (for one small bathroom). But DMV really went above and beyond to get the job completed, and they've come back to fix some small problems we've had afterwards. They purchased materials at their own expense, not knowing if they'd ever be reimbursed, in order to keep construction moving! If it weren't for the professionalism and follow through of DMV, I don't know what would have happened. Since I didn't hire DMV directly, I can't speak to many aspects of their business, but they really saved me from a terrible disaster. They subcontracted out the actual work, but they made an excellent choice and the quality of the construction is excellent. Beautiful tile work, and total respect for my home in the process. I would definitely hire them again.

We are very happy with the brick walkway recently installed by Matt Meyer and the crew at J Reynolds Landscaping. We found it difficult to find a mason willing to undertake a relatively small job at our small colonial in North Arlington (removal of a concrete walkway and installation of a dry-laid herringbone walkway). Matt met with us several times to work out the design, promptly prepared what we felt was a fair estimate, and conducted the work as scheduled. The workmanship (I'm afraid that I've forgotten the name of the principal mason) was superb and Matt was good about accommodating some late minute changes in the design.
Thomas gave a quick and reasonable quote and provided very helpful info on the trees at our new home and even some tips on work we could do ourselves if we wanted. Communication was easy and done via text. Crew did a great job and work was completed as expected.
Arlington Tree Care was willing to do a relatively small job for us, removing several medium-sized, high branches that were located near wires.
Their price was very fair. They were able to schedule quickly and did a perfect job.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Yousefi and Dr. Kousedghi and their team. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine warmth and professionalism. The office is spotless, modern, and calming — a huge plus if you’re someone who gets anxious about dental visits.
The Drs are not only highly skilled but also incredibly gentle and thorough. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure. You can really tell they care about their patients and love what they do.

Visiting DC area for my daughter's graduation and had a tooth ache that was getting worse. My sister-in-law referred me to Dr. Ahmadian and Arlington Advanced Dental Care as she has had significant work done over the past year and is extremely complementary. I called and mentioned I had been referred and they fit me in that afternoon! Arrived at 1:30pm, the reception was professional, very friendly, and efficient. Had the X-rays w/in 20 min of my arrival and Dr. Ahmadian saw me within 10 min. He highlighted I had a broken tooth and asked me if I was aware. "Well that explains the jagged edge I can feel with my tongue!" I said! This reminded me of my last cleaning when my dentist highlighted it would likely be an issue soon.Dr. Ahmadian illustrated the risk of how close the base of the cavity was to the nerve and was upfront and honest there was a significant risk of hitting the nerve. if so, a root canal on a Friday afternoon was in my immediate future. Additionally, Dr. Ahmadian highlighted the issue of the implant which was next to this tooth. The bone and the implant looked very strong and no issues, but the gum line was inflamed and would need some additional investigation when I got home and could see my regular dentist and oral surgeon.Dr. Ahmadian's care, easy going manner, and complete honesty of the issue was GREATLY appreciated. Multiple shots of novocaine before the drilling, a few more as they were unfortunately needed, and extremely efficient work by him and his dental assistant to clean out the old filling, clean out the additional cavity sections, and then fill the cavity and repair the exterior where the tooth had cracked and broken. AND HE DIDN'T hit the nerve!!Most importantly, Dr. Ahmadian highlighted his concern this work could be temporary as the size of the cavity and the thinness of the actual tooth's exterior at this point could very well result in an eventual root canal and implant need. This honesty and counsel of the best course of action was extremely important and he took the time to make sure I understood. I accepted this risk and I am very glad I did as of course his steady hands and care did not hit the nerve!Dr. Ahmadian advised me to avoid chewing on that side for a couple days, try to eat soft foods regardless, and to expect it to be tender for a few days. It was definitely tender and still is a bit but because he took the time to speak with me on the whole issue, I wasn't concerned.When Dr. Ahmadian highlighted the importance of my finding my dentist to see as soon as possible and to make sure the gums by this tooth and the implant were looked at, I inquired whether there was any infection and should I go on an antibiotic to be safe. He highlighted there was no infection but the tenderness of the gums was to be expected and it was important to see a specialist for a follow-up.Thank you Dr. Ahmadian for your expert care, your honesty and taking the time to make sure I understood every aspect of my situation. You explained and illustrated the issue, the risks, and even though you weren't sure if you could avoid hitting the nerve, you were able to and I consider myself extremely fortunate i was referred to you from by my sister-in-law.Thank you to the reception staff, the dental assistant, and the efficiency of the entire process!! She's a chiropractor specializing in the treatment of car accident injuries. After my accident, I came in with constant pain in my neck, back, and shoulders, and thanks to her experience and dedication, I've had a remarkable recovery.
I came in with low mobility in my hip and pain every time I put weight on my right side. After following their schedule and letting them do their thing with inputs on how I'm feeling, I'm able to walk without any pain and have mobility back! They walk you through every step from x-rays to at home care! They redo tests regularly to ensure they aren't over correcting anything. I haven't been to another chiropractor that listens this much, has supporting evidence, or has helped with my various aches and pains!
I can’t say enough good things! I was dealing with crazy shoulder pain, tightness, headaches, and lack of mobility. Dr. Murray did a great job figuring out the issues and really getting into muscles that were causing issues. Not going to lie, it can be pretty painful but the improvement in mobility immediately after was shocking - it’s worth it! Eric also was very helpful in demonstrating the exercises to do at home. I had 3 sessions and feel so much better. Highly recommend to anyone!
UPDATED FROM MY 3/2021 review: I have recently returned to Dr Ziegler's practice with a separate set of problems involving my lower back...as with previous encounters with this practice, I did not have to wait too long for an appt though it had been over 4 years. I went in, spoke with Dr Ziegler about my problems and he was very reassuring! He immediately began a program of accupuncture, stretching, heat and electrical current before sending me off for x-rays at a nearby hospital. Dr. Ziegler was very thorough in his explanation of my films when I returned and a plan of care was initiated. It has been a few weeks now and I can finally drive/sit comfortably and my walking is much improved. Staff are excellent, providing text reminders,free parking and no waiting-unheard of in most practices today. I especially value our conversations of current medical practices in the alternative medical "space" and Dr Ziegler's knowledge of supplements and nutritional aspects of health. As a nurse, I am very comfortable recommending Dr. Ziegler to my family and friends.

We started working with Dr. Kim at the beginning of this year due to struggling with weight loss and some general symptoms of not feeling well. In the course of 6 months, I lost 20 pounds and my fiancé lost 35 pounds. On top of that, the constant midday crash that I battled on a daily basis, finally gone! Follow-up two years later - They are still so wonderful with my cats and I still highly recommend them. Their pricing for care seems on par with other vets in the area and I never feel like I’m getting scammed or oversold services. Original review: So great! They were really good at handling my nervous cat. They took great care of her and seemed to love what they were doing, and were very affordable. I’ll be back for all of my cat’s future care.

The staff took excellent care of my senior cat! It was a calm environment which helped my cat feel comfortable and not so stressed. All of the staff were so kind and knowledgeable. Dr. Tores explained the exam and results well. I felt like they really listened to my concerns too!
Switched to CAC North from another vet in Fairfax and I wish we had started here from the start! I have two Italian greyhounds and have done an international health certificate here, and also been in for: routine vaccinations, anxiety medication management, parasite deworming, and GI issues. Luxor and Pharoah love to see Caitlin (tech) and DVM McCrory, but when we needed to get in asap for my newly adopted iggy who wasn’t holding down food, Julia (tech) and DVM Gottlieb were incredible! When I was struggling to get my adopted iggy’s previous vet records, the staff were able to get them on file for me. Prescriptions here are so easy to fill in office or on Chewy, and their online booking system is awesome. Italian greyhounds are weird, anxious little guys and the staff is always willing to bend over backwards to make them comfy. We are going to start seeing their vet behaviorist for some help with our reactive new little guy, and we know we will be in the best care! Receipts and post-visit instructions are always emailed and we usually always get phone calls after visits to see any add-on care is needed. This place is incredible!!

This is the best Groomer for small dogs in the DC area. I am very particular about my doggie looks and they did a fantastic job with Chelsea. I highly recommend and will return for sure!
They let my pup free roam the room after service until I could pick him up, which both pup and I highly appreciate! They were kind with his old age and anxiety, so we will be returning soon!
Highly recommend the Sunday morning flow classes, it is a great class to help get ready for the week.

Amazing instructors - Kylee, Dani, Ellie, and Bronte are all rockstars! By far and away, the best workouts I've ever done.
Janeen is the best instructor at this studio. I've continued my practice at this location because of Janeen. She is patient, doesn't have you switching between lots of pieces of equipment at lightning speed. She tells you before class begins what pieces of equipment you're using. That mentally and physiologically prepares a student to get the equipment easier and be able to keep up with the pace of the class. I wish more of the instructions were this way when they implement equipment changes. Janeen gives encouragement throughout the class and you can understand every word she says. She acknowledges the progress of the regulars and assists new students.

Omg what an experience! The team at Ziva Wellness is absolutely incredible. This was a total sensory immersion and I cannot recommend it enough. I did the foot and scalp session and it was so relaxing, and calming and I felt amazing after. Definitely give it a try - I will certainly be back!
A fantastic massage therapist and wonderful person! Her experience with Reiki and Hypnosis have also been very helpful for me. I have been her client for at least 4 years . I wouldnt go to anyone else and now my wife sees her too!
Angelee is the best massage experience my wife and I have ever had (and we've had many over the years). She is calm and thorough and amazingly effective at finding and working on sore or injured areas that need attention. And she is a wonderful teacher as well, explaining her process and how to best help yourself continue to heal or avoid other injuries. The very best!!

Reiki, I’ve had reiki done a few times by different practitioners, mostly it felt like the rest your soul needed.But with Krisstal, my reiki treatments have been a journey. The profound healing and work that has happened in our sessions is insane. Krisstal has a gift of healing and you’re fortunate if you put yourself in her hands.
My massage therapist is super knowledgeable about the human body and works deeply on problem areas which produce pain relief over time, and stress relief immediately.
I was very pleased with Peter and his treatment of my muscular problem. He was knowledgeable and competent with his therapeutic massage. I felt better immediately after my first session and felt even better the day after. I expect to continue with Peter in the months ahead.

All of the staff here and so kind and accommodating. My fiance and I were in the area and got a couples massage, we frequently get massages back home. (He had Nancy and I had Yaya.) My goodness…this was the most incredible massage that either or us has ever had! Hands down! They take the time to pinpoint your trouble areas and really work out tension and knots. Dr. Hamidi provided superb support during my recent visit. I had a complex, seemingly intractable problem in my right leg, and I was touched by how much time he took with me to diagnose it and to offer several steps to remediate it. He was careful, methodical, and completely reassuring. I didn't feel rushed and could not have asked for better assistance on this issue. This is consistent with treatment he has provided me over the years.

This is a joint review by me and my wife Mavis, both grizzled veterans of PT. We both highly recommend Drs. Anjali Ghodake, Eva de Leon and the others at the N. Harrison Street facility in Arlington. They helped us work through an old injury and post-surgery recovery and gave us ways to keep it from causing pain in the future, with exercises that do not require a great deal of time but produce maximum benefit. And they are easy to get along with, which is important given how much time PT always takes.
Dr. Rosalie was exceptional. She gave me lots of stretches and strength training exercises that promptly resolved my running injury. She knew exactly how to target my issue with a large focus on improving my range of motion. She has a very high level of knowledge and is very personable. I highly recommend her.

Had a fantastic experience recovering from chronic tendinitis. My therapist, Karly, was pleasant, diligent, methodical, and above all patient with me as I overcame some early inconsistency with completing my "homework." It's almost a year later and I'm back to running and playing soccer after over a year on the sidelines!
There aren't enough good things to say about Melissa. My injury continued to heal every day because she sure knows what she is doing. She is absolutely amazing and so caring for your health and well being. I had other health issues going on and she even reached out after my treatment to make sure I was doing okay. The rest of the staff is so welcoming and truly cares about you. Michael also had a positive impact on my experience after working with him for one day. I strongly recommend this PT business and recommend to anyone I know to go here.
Would recommend NOVA Pain & Rehab - writing this review as an active mid-30s person with a long history of chronic issues. I've made great progress since working with the team over the last ~2 months about 10 sessions in (main complaints lower back pain and shoulder pain). The team provides a holistic scope, with my sessions consisting of electrical stim (this is optional), and a guided session through rehab/prehab movements, followed by a session with Dr. Ward for any manual work.
All that being said I have been dilligent about doing my prescribed exercises, but in a vacuum that is not enough, the targeted physical work makes a difference. Dr. Ward is very knowledgeable, I am active in CrossFit and weightlifting which means I have 'luxury fitness problems', a regular doctor would tell me to go home and rest for a month but this does not suit my lifestyle. I am on average feeling better than I have in many years (comparable to getting a 90 minute bodywork session + chiropractic every other week). If you follow the recommendations I believe you will see progress, and if you are like me and value understanding the big picture and the 'why' of exercises and treatments, the team has been excellent in answering these questions. Lastly as an honorable mention, appointments can be booked online or through text during business hours - no more playing phone tag with receptionists, yay.
I'm sure there's more highlights I could mention, but I would recommend going in for a session to see for yourself. Thanks to the whole NOVA P&R team!
Dr. Ziegler's integration of acupuncture, chiropractic techniques, supplements, and education is very thorough - he spends time explaining his approach and gives his time generously to his patients. The staff is very professional and friendly. Appointments are always on-time. Highly recommend as a complement to primary care.

I go to her when I have a stomach issue, I go to her when I have a shoulder pain, I go to her when I have a Carpal tunnel issue. All could be solved by Emilys amazing skills.
