I found Radical Mane at Oasis studio by word of mouth from another hair stylist in the area. I was interested in a complete hair overhaul that I'd been thinking of for some time. I was able to text Jordyn from her info available on her website. I initially contacted the another hair stylist about a dramatic cut, but she didn't do color and referred me to Radical Mane for that. Jordyn asked a lot of questions via text to make sure I'd thought through my decision and to understand what I was asking for. I ended up doing both appointments the same day, the color right after the cut. This was fairly easy, since both locations were within walking distance of each other. I'm happy I had two experts each doing what they loved doing best! The cut at Winam Studios was amazing, and I walked over to Radical Mane about a block away, located upstairs by a Himalayan Restaurant. I trusted Jordyn's expertise on what specific color to add to the top to add a bit of contrast between my longer locks and short hair. I've never dyed my hair before, so I think she went with as natural of a look as possible, while still adding the contrast I desired. She mostly added simple highlights to avoid a harsh line that would be evident as the hair grew out. The studio was clean and comfortable, with beautiful art by a local artist up on the walls. Jordyn is super personable and wise beyond her years. We talked about life, and she ended up recommending a book to me! Both the cut and color turned out better than I could ever have imagined! It's comfortable and super low-maintenance. I don't have to wash my hair as often, don't sweat as much, and never need a hair tie. My hair looks amazing after simply messing it around with my fingers and flipping to the side. Friends that have known me for years have asked me why I hadn't had this haircut sooner. They tell me it fits my personality perfectly! I love that I can look chic or punk rock, depending on what I wear and how I wear my hair! Now I look like the artist I am! Her shampooing job is so nice and she takes extra care to ensure none goes in your ears or on your face. Overall, excellent quality and hair coloring on my grandma was great!
Vintage Barbershop Hawaii is the real deal and lives up to the hype! Booking an appointment online was quick and easy, even for a same-day haircut. The staff were professional, friendly, and made us feel welcome from the start. Xavier did an excellent job and offered great feedback on the style I was going for. He tailored the cut perfectly to suit my hair. My wife and I are both still happy with the result a week later. Emily really knows her hair. She takes alot of time understanding your hair and explaining how your hair lays and best way to cut and maintain. Though, at $100 for a basic hair cut, and $80 for beard trim, razor shave and facial. Throw in a 25% tip and you're looking at over $225 + tax before getting out of there. She's a lot of fun, and she's worth the money, but unfortunately, I'll only be able to enjoy this luxury on special occasions.

He knew exactly how to handle coarse Black hair, kept the lineup natural and sharp, and had me interview‑ready in no time. Super chill, professional, and detail‑oriented. If you’re in town and need a real barber who understands the assignment, ask for Ramsey. Respect to the whole team — this spot is solid. ? I’ll definitely be back when I touch the island again.
Short review on the SALON: In terms of the salon, I've seen many great haircuts and happy customers praising Thuy's work. They keep the place very clean and have a loyal following. Her daughter is a sweet heart as well! I've never gotten my hair cut there, but I wouldn't hesitate for either her or her daughter to cut my hair :) _______________________________________________ REAL REASON I'm here though is to rave about HANNAH, the nail manicurist! SHE IS AWESOME! I've tried a lot of other places, but Hannah, hands down, is still my top choice for doing my mani and pedi. PROS: 1) She knows how to prep and clean nails thoroughly and safely! Hannah is skilled at removing excess skin without harming you. My nails are always shaped beautifully, no matter if I ask for them short or long. She is also very gentle in her technique. Whether you'd like your cuticles trimmed a bit or not at all, she will do as you ask with a smile! 2) She is very particular with her designs and makes sure each nail is immaculate! I always get asked if my nails are "fake' after a manicure from Hannah. People always react a bit surprised when I tell them "no." They say: "Looks too nice to just be your regular nails!" I just smile :). She hand paints everything and will do it to perfection. And if you don't like it, she has no problem redoing the design to your liking. 3) She's quick! Most of the time, my mom and I go together, and she gets us both done within 90 minutes. That's amazing for doing two manis and two pedis...with designs! By one person! 4) Her prices are reasonable! For the QUALITY that you get from Hannah, the price is well worth it. My mom and I pay about 50 dollars each for a mani-pedi. At most salons, it's $60+ with addition for designs and the foot massage/bath for ONE person. Plus, these places don't CLEAN, PREP, and take as much CARE as Hannah will with your nails. CONS: 1) She is a one-woman business. She's the only nail person at the salon, so getting an appointment with her can be a little tough. (But hey, she's that high in demand! That's how good she is!) She does walk-ins...but making an appointment is a must to secure a good time! 2) Those needing "refills" won't find what they need here. Hannah does natural nails only. (She does Shellac, but no acrylic.) 3) Parking is a bit of hassle b/c it's in Chinatown, but the Maunakea Parking Garage is not far of a walk at all. 4) Those wanting "3D" designs won't find it with Hannah. She likes nails to look beautiful but also wants you to be able to use your hands w/o worrying about your nails when you work!

My visit to Sun Splash Tan was a pleasant experience while in Waikiki vacationing. I wanted to look sunkissed in all my outfits and pictures so did this on day 1 of my trip. They helped me pick out the formula, type of coverage, and setting duration. I believe they use Norvell products. I was happy to hear an option was one that I just had to let sit for 1-3 hours then could shower. No more sitting in your sticky spray tan overnight.
The gal that did the personalized airbrushing was quick, professional, and informative. She gave clear instructions to me for my first time and I felt super comfortable with her.
Loved the proximity to kuhio/waikiki and the price. It’s in a neighborhood strip between the malasadas place Leonard’s Bakery and Rainbow Drive-In if you want to hit a few hot spots while you’re there. They even called me the next day to ask how the tan application was looking and how I liked it. A+ experience.

Showed up as a walk-in for a pedicure because I was feeling like a spontaneous self-care day was in order. Sang took care of me for an Organic Pedicure. This treatment includes a salt soak, salt scrub, foot/leg mask, and massage with moisturizer. Sang was friendly and professional. Not every nail salon will care to ask for your name, but she consistently referred to me by name & always checked in with me to see how I was doing. I must’ve looked tired because she insisted that I could take a nap if I wanted to. And I did ?
The salon is cute and small, just like I prefer. Not too noisy like other nail salons along Waialae Ave. And the fact that I felt comfortable enough to fall asleep says a lot. I’m a high-alert person & Sang’s kindness totally disarmed me from being on edge like I usually am. This allowed me to completely relax and enjoy.
I think it’s noteworthy to say that this salon takes their time. Other nail salons on island have completely turned me off from paying for expensive services just for them to do a rushed & terrible job. Blissful Nails is the opposite. Needless to say, I’ll be back

I called at 8:30 AM and got appointments for my 2 nieces (11 & 15 yo) and me, for mani-pedis at 10:30 AM. Two gel pedicures, one regular pedicure and three regular manicures. The gel color selection was good. I was very happy and the person who did my services was sweet & professional. Everything was clean and nice. The massage chairs were very nice, and my nieces loved the whole thing. It came to $235, which I charged on a card, and paid the tips in cash. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

I started seeing Kandice a few years ago and have never looked back. For a long time I was on the hunt for someone who could really make my nails last. With my job being hands on and my lifestyle being outdoors (hiking, climbing, swimming, etc.) I could never find a tech that worked for me. Usually my nails would almost always chip within the first week. With Kandice it's never an issue!! She's amazing with her nail art when I bring inspo and I love letting her create her own designs as well. Her shop has plenty of metered street parking and I have never had an issue finding a spot. She's such a fun personality and I recommend her to everyone and anyone! Her shop Magic Hour also holds events all the time and is LGBTQIA+ friendly!! Go see her!

I have no reason to write this. Habib is in such demand, he doesn't need good reviews to keep him afloat. But having bumped into other hairdressers and encountering their tactics, I feel compelled to write about why I like Habib. Habib is an artist. He recognizes the state and shape of your hair and the state and shape of you. He has nuance when he cuts hair and doesn't try to force down a client's throat generic templates of what is "in" or what the industry is dictating looks good. I never feel belittled by his style sense or the choices I make regarding personal style or even products. Don't get me wrong -- Habib is always current. He knows what techniques and looks are the industry standard. He indeed is responsible with his craft. But he knows how to help his clients rise rather than hamstringing them into a dependency on him specifically or his product offerings. Habib is never heavy-handed about how often to get services from him, and he doesn't push products or create product dependency. The irony is that it is just that trait that causes my dependency on him specifically. I cannot say enough great things about him as a person, as an artist and the work he does. I just hope he cuts hair for the rest of my life!
The first time I came in here I was recommended by my WFG partner Shann and only got a haircut. Later on, I saw another boy getting his hair braided and I wanted something different, besides the basic 'upside-down' bowl cut. Soon I was looking fabulous with amazing highlights on my curls. She gave me a referral to one of her girlfriends to have my eyebrows darkened and now I look spectacular! The local aunties here might wink at me and say I'm 'makamaka'! The owner Rattiya's is so nice I called at 0800am before they are opened and she said she can take me in at 1000. I arrived 30 minutes early and she still sees me anyway. I came in with grown out black roots and bleach highlights thru out so it was a mess. I showed her what I want my hair to look like, was a lighter brown tone . She dyed my hair twice and cut it too and worked on me for like 2 hours and 45 minutes and only charged 156 what a steal. Highly recommends anyone if you look for an affordable hair cut and style. She does take walk in but get booked pretty fast so I recommends calling ahead for an appointment!

I cannot thank Masumi and Makoto enough. I absolutely LOVE my nano brows and look forward to my touch up appointment in 6 weeks. I have had previous microblading , 4 years ago, and let them fade out because I hated them. I have been wanting the nano brow hair stroke for quite some time and finally found an amazing location! Masumi paid very close attention to detail, the atmosphere was very relaxing, I almost fell asleep a couple of times. Suzukoo is definitely a hidden treasure and I feel like I struck gold finding this wonderful place for nano brows! HIGHLY recommend! I have added final photos after my touch up visit.

Giving Lena a review because it looks like no one has done so since pre-pandemic. I went to Lena in September to get my eyebrows tattooed. I was super hesitant because I saw my mom do it in the 1990s and she had an allergic reaction and looked horrible for a week. Anyway, I'm getting to the point in my life where my appearance is still important to me, but I just want to look good without putting in too much effort. Yes, I am lazy. Anyhoo Lena was quick to respond to my email inquiry about what type of brow service I should do. I was initially thinking microblading because it is less permanent and seems to be popular these days, however after consultation Lena suggested getting my eyebrows tattooed. I have sparse non-existent eyebrows. I looked totally different with makeup and without makeup, mainly because I had no eyebrows. I would go to yoga work up a sweat and come out looking like a totally different person because my brows would melt off. After getting my brows tattooed, my husband says it looks like I have makeup on all the time, that's how much of a difference it has made. Like he thought I was hot before, but now I'm even hotter because I have nice eyebrows all the time. Lena did a fabulous job. My eyebrows are symmetrical and perfectly proportioned. The process took about 1.5 hours and I felt very little pain. I went back a month later and she touched up my eyebrows to make sure they were settling in well. Highly recommend Lena! Go get your eyebrows done by her, she's truly a professional at the top of her game.
Lydia is absolutely amazing. She has been working with my sensitive acne prone skin for 6 months now and I see a huge difference. I originally started coming to her in preparation for my wedding, but have been so pleased with my results that I will continue seeing her in the future. She is also a massage therapist and works wonders on my tight neck and shoulder muscles.

The owner Kiku is wonderful. I've gone there off & on for waxing and massages. Lately I've been training for a trail run in May and after a long run, went to have a massage on my tired legs and sore feet. Kiku's new therapist Waco did a fantastic job starting with the soles of my feet. She also worked on some knots in my shoulders that made turning my head uncomfortable. Waco then found some tense muscles that I didn't know were bothering me until she worked on them. I walked out feeling like jello and woke the next day without the usual tightness I normally experience after some hard training miles.Kiku and Waco have both given me some of the best massages I've experienced. They provide other services as well and have promotions on their website. It's a great find that I recommend to my friends.

She give a thorough explanation of what she is doing as well as taking great care with my skin during the facial. I elected for the Retreat Package (2 hours of AMAZING body massage and a facial). It was the most relaxed I felt in a long time. Instructions of arriving were so clear and easy to follow. Upon arrival, Madi is just a sweetheart so felt instantly at ease. Best massage I’ve had thus far. Booked a spur of the moment 2 hour Imperial Hotel special as a vacation treat to myself. I was a little surprised that there wasn’t a room separation from the other tables (there are curtains separating them for privacy) but the masseuse literally made me forget the others existed.
The very sweet and kind masseuse did a phenomenal job on my upper back where most of my tension is before moving on to the rest of the body. She used hot stones as a second layer of care that was incredible.
I will definitely come back again or at least hold this place as the highest standard of judging other massage shops. Just a divine experience.

We stopped in for a visit and were greeted by one of the most beautiful girls that I have ever seen. I showed her pictures of a shark I had recently caught and told her I was wanting a tat to memorialize it. With an amazing warm smile she said she had the perfect artist available. She did too, he was just awesome, he drew the shark and began the tat. The detail in the work was simply outstanding. Bonus- another artist in the shop was able to identify the shark. My wife was able to get a tat as well, a small flower to memorialize our trip had a different artist do her the same time as me. We are both very pleased with this amazing art and will cherish the memories forever. The shop was just great it was like they were all family. One of the best experiences of our trip. Love that Andre works within your budget. Me, my wife and sis in law have gone to him and Aaron twice over the last couple years. Aaron has done memorial pieces for our mothers using the handwritten letters our families left for us. Andre does some of the best and original Polynesian tribal ink work I've ever seen. Place is a pain getting too due to construction on the main road but that's just Hawaii living.

We had a clogged sanitary line and put in a ticket on Sunday night. Monday morning at 7:30 AM they got back to us for an appointment that day! Sam and Johnny cleared the clog and reinstalled the toilet in no time. Everyone was really nice and professional.

I had pipe masters out today for an emergency, I had water going from two bathrooms throughout my first floor, water was everywhere. They came out quickly and were able to diagnose and fix the problem which was a blocked sewer line. They had already given me an estimate on the phone just from me telling them what was going on, and the work they did did not cost anymore than what I was initially quoted. Compared to what other plumbers charge, I thought the price was very reasonable. The plumber that actually came to the house was very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely call them again if I have any issues.
I live in a 50+ year old hi-rise condo in Honolulu. I had a leaking toilet tank and they replaced the bowl gasket. I also had them replace an old toilet fill valve. They take the time to make sure everything is working properly after fixing. The plumbers are very courteous explaining everything to you. They did a great job cleaning up after the work. The price is very reasonable. I will always call Ogami for my plumbing needs. I highly recommend them!

Once again my elderly house was in dire need, we arrived home from 2 weeks on the mainlad to a situation where our water was OFF and there had been a huge leak during our absence. I called Sidney Reyes at 10:30 on a Saturday night and he answered with my name before the second ring. We scheduled for this morning and he arrived 45 minutes early and the repair was complete in 20 minutes. I cannot thank him enough. He makes me feel truly taken care of.

I just so happened to see water dripping down under the house as the shower was running. I thought to myself: Great, I'm going to need new shower values = $$$$.Got a referral to Point Plumbing and gave them a call.Kathi asked what was going on and asked me to take some photos to show her my concern and we made an appointment for Scott to take a look.Scott came on time and looked under the house. He asked me to run the shower to see what was going on. He said the drain had come undone, he went to his truck, got brackets to support the pipe and fixed it in-a-jiffy.whew, no costly repair. Bottom line: I would call them again. (oh, and they are super friendly)Side Note: when we remodeled our kitchen, Scott did the replumbing. I just didn't know it until he said, "I know this house." Ha ha.
Alakai costs a bit more but it is worth it. Experienced and will save you money on labor time.

From my experience, I'd say I really trust this business and would gladly do business with them again.I had a minor issue where we wanted to have an electrician come out to inspect our place for any issues--as we were preparing to rent out unit out.The owner called me back fairly quickly--within 30 minutes. He explained what he could do but recommended I could do many of the steps myself. He actually took about 15 minutes to tell me the important steps to check for, which he would do normally. And if we found any irregularities we could call him back and hire him.Turns out, everything he told us to check for was A-OK. And he saved us about $300-400. I myself am a person running a service business with a clientele of repeat customers, I loved the way he treated me with respect, explained things, and helped me optimize the situation. I'll definitely hire him for future jobs. I also appreciated he had some extra connections via his family for real estate things--so that perspective was really helpful.Compared to the other two electricians I called to for information to handle this issue, Enterprise Electric handled it the best and with the Customer in mind.
Overall 4.5 stars for professionalism, speed of service, and helpfulness.I was having some problems with a gfci breaker and called a handy man to take a look. While resetting the breaker helped temporarily it didn't address the issue. Since place didn't have a master breaker, I needed to get a licensed electrician to operate on the live wire. Progressive was able to quote me a price on the phone, and send an electrician out the next day. Electrician was very professional, very quick and also provided suggestions to simplify the circuits and also reduce costs. I also appreciated the due diligence in testing the different parts of the circuit to ensure all the pieces were lining up right.In the end electrician was in and out in less than 30 min. Cost for parts was $25. Cost for labor was $200, which I can understand (drive time, minimum # hours, etc), but was also much higher than the handyman-- if only i had a master breaker. With that said, compared to other licensed electricians price was reasonable, and I got numerous recommendations from people for Progressive. They get the job done on a tight schedule, so I'm a fan.

I called the number listed on the web site for electrical repairs to a house panel. In the end, I suspect my issue was smaller than what the company deals with. Having said that Customer service was the best I’ve experienced in last 10 years. Within minutes I received a call back from a field worker who requested pictures of my panel. Within minutes I received a call back on where I could obtain the parts and the price on the parts.If I had a larger project this company absolutely would be my first call to hopefully work with!

Our house had major damage from a water main break on Mother’s Day, and Chris was able to come right away to begin cleaning. His crew did a very thorough cleaning and then replaced the drywall and repainted. A very professional job. I would l use his service again but hope I don’t have to!
A water main break in early hours of a Saturday morning caused extensive flooding of our home. MD Restoration arrived within an hour and evacuated the water efficiently, installing an industrial dehumidifier and measuring the moisture over the subsequent week. It was very helpful to have professionals with the right equipment as we would not have known there was water in the walls. We hired them for the abatement and repair as well. Rey and Justin were 5-star outstanding on the abatement and then putting things back in place. Without their help the delay to complete the repair work would have been even more frustrating. Aside of that would give 5-stars.
They did a great job cleaning my 2 bed 2 bath home. They even got out some tough stains in the bathtub. Very easy to communicate with and very friendly.

Sanitizing Oahu came to our office and did a disinfection treatment. No one in our office has been sick but just better to have the precaution and peace of mind! They first sprayed a sanitizer and then another product that puts a protective layer on all the surfaces, like desks, walls and ground. They said it was all organic and nontoxic and continues to protect the surfaces for a long time. We couldn't smell any odor after the treatments. Everything smelled clean and sterile. We all feel much safer in the office now. The price was very reasonable for how big our office is. The staff were very professional and courteous. They really know what they are doing. The sprayer makes the work go very fast. Thinking of having them treat my home as well. Would definitely would recommend them.

After getting several other over the top estimates to replace my carpeting with vinyl, I contacted Ceramic Stile. Their estimate was far more reasonable. They offered practical solutions that didn't break the bank. It took about three and a half days to do the work. Jim's son helped other than the first day. Both are professionals, pleasant and easy to talk to, they cleaned up after themselves, didn't block our driveway with their vehicles, kept the music and chatter down although the latter wouldn't have bothered me. They came and left when they said they would. We are very pleased with the end result. The flooring is exactly what we wanted. It's really hard to have carpeting when you have dogs. There's no way to really keep the floors clean even if you vacuum regularly and steam cleaning periodically. I would definitely hire them again for flooring work.

The owner came to the house for the initial consultation, and was very transparent, communicative, and kind. After that, I worked with two veteran employees who were incredibly respectful, kind, helpful, professional, and trustworthy. I was very comfortable with them in my home. Kahala Floors was incredibly responsive to all my questions - I mean within a half hour of texting! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to redo their floors. I will be going back to them in the future, for sure.

After interviewing several contractors and viewing works completed and in process, we chose Homeworks for a design/build project for a total replacement of our 60 y/o Waialae Iki home. No regrets- we had our share of odd requests and HW architects and interior designers found ways to accommodate all of them and provide design suggestions we had not thought of but are now grateful for. The construction team did a masterful job translating it all into reality and worked tirelessly to get everything right- even when we were admittedly picking a few nits. Through it all, HW's senior management was always accessible and responsive.
Hi i wanted to share a little about HK construction and what its been like working with them, so they are very helpful and know how to design they have brought up features and things i needed that i didnt realize i needed along the way. but when designing my designer brought the design up on there what looks to be 70" screen and did a 3d walkthru it made complete sense and made me and my husband feel completely confident that my team at hk knew what they were doing, and then once we accomplished that HK helped walk me thru the nightmare of the Honolulu building permit system, what a nightmare. but the design department helped me me and my family on tract. overall its ben a very enjoyable experience, if there's anyone that can help you thru the process better i dont know but my expierence has been very positive and welcoming definitely would recommend.

Dean rescued us following an unethical builder on a total remodel. We have since hired him for 2 smaller projects ($5,000 range). We were scammed by an unethical builder who is now out of business. Dean was the only contractor of the 9 I tried who would take on the project. The result is a beautiful home that is built right. The reason it is beautiful is that he kept providing us with options such as trimming the windows differently. He had the knowledge and a design vision to take the project to the next level. We had a project at our daughters. The problem was access on a steep slope. Again, nobody wanted the job or their solutions were unbelievably expensive. I did not think Dean could do it because he has a small crew but he offered to come see it. He said he had done similar projects with pump jacks. The difference was that he knew about a method that nobody else considered. The third project was a replacement entry lanai on an older home. His work with Trex on the entry of the large project was so beautiful that I told him my expectations were high. I was not disappointed. The more challenging part of the project was cement work for the sidewalk approaching the lanai. Again, he knew about materials such as rebar that cannot rust and cement additives so we would not have to totally remove the old section first. Obviously Dean enjoys a challenge and thinking through to a solution. He has an amazing knowledge base of materials and options. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Worked with them on two projects on my home. Adding double wall construction to my downstairs single wall construction home fixing remote eaten wood and adding a lanai. Then 7 years later we used them to do our kitchen and bathroom. Victor was great to work with and let us know what was going on during the project.
I was so pleased with the bathroom renovations Trevor and his Ion Builders crew did for me several years ago. So when I was ready to take on a kitchen renovation and house painting, there was no question that I wanted to work with him again. The excellent quality of work goes without saying. It's the additional details that I really appreciate: the consistent communication throughout the project; my questions and concerns were addressed; I always knew what was happening with the various stages of the reno; his crew was delightful to work with, respectful of my home and furnishings, checked with me throughout on various details, arrived on time each day and left the house each evening after cleaning up as much as they could. One final note: I didn't fully appreciate Trevor's decision to install my new range and dishwasher when he first told me. But I came to realize what a gift that was as his crew really worked hard to make sure they were installed correctly. I have happily recommended Trevor Yee and Ion Builders to others for their renovations and I look forward to many years of enjoying my new kitchen.
DTC did a complete (to the studs) remodel on my 1100 square foot 1958 condo on the Gold Coast. Greg agreed to take over the project after there were major issues with the original "Contractor" and "Interior Designer". I was so grateful that Greg agreed to come in and take over the job. No small feat to try unravel what was and was not done. The DTC team was excellent and I was extremely lucky to have Jason Schweitzer as my Project Manager. Jason's attention to detail and thorough follow through made me feel like he was treating my project as if it was his own home. Billing was very detailed breakdown of materials and overages (of course i had some...!) They offer access to an online calendar update that allows you to see the time frame and progress of the project. The end result is a jaw dropping, gorgeous custom home. Ive recommended DTC to several people and will continue to do so. Words that i continue to use when describing Greg and DTC: ethical, honest, and beautiful craftsmanship. I highly recommend DTC.
I was a tenant in a building managed by OBM and they did a great job. The building was well maintained and clean and the staff were polite and proactive. It was a big contrast with the previous office space i leased where the tenants and repairs were clearly not a priority for the property manager.

EZ Honolulu is truly the best! I have used their monthly service now for the last 3.5 yrs. My service tech and the whole crew over there are amazing. They schedule your service with the same tech every month, which is very comforting. They also give you a monthly courtesy call the day before your service, and he is ALWAYS on time, with a smile on his face! My family first hired Kula's Landscaping to care for my grandma's lawn when she turned it into a rental property and moved into my parent's house. Needless to say, she has had many landscapers, but none of them have shown the care, attention to detail and level of service that Kula's has. It is true--you get what you pay for. Once we saw the quality of work they did on my grandma's property, my parents hired them to work on their yard. To date, the Mossman brothers are the only people my dad has ever entrusted (aside from himself) to care for his lawn. We truly couldn't recommend them enough.

Brian came to our house to provide an estimate within 48 hours of us requesting one. Within a week, he and his team (2 other guys) were completing the job. They trimmed back 3 large trees, thinned out a collection of palms and even removed a small dead tree we had (no extra charge). The area was as clean when they left as it was when they arrived. Easy to work with and did what we asked taking care not to "hack" our trees but gently prune and ensure the health of the trees.
Good communication on job expectations, and the work went exactly as we wanted. No complaints.

Dr. Rosala and his staff run an excellent dental practice. I really appreciate Dr. Rosala’s hands on approach. He has a small office and is engaged at each step of the visit / treatment. He actually does the cleaning himself. Other offices employ hygienists to perform cleanings, but Dr. Rosala does the work himself. By doing the cleaning he’s able to get a closer look at everything and identify potential problems before they become major issues. Over the years, Dr. Rosala has also helped me with implant work. He does a wonderful job with both the installation of the implant and any follow-up work that may arise. I like that he takes ownership for, and pride in, all of his work. I look forward to the friendly atmosphere at every visit.
i have been with uncle since 2007 and now it's almost the ending of 2024, uncle and aunty barb and Doreen has show nothing but love. yes i have went to other dentist offices but they are not like them (i would always complain to my parents that i would want to go to uncles office). every time i had a tooth ache i would come in late and UNCLE would still take time out of his resting nights to come and take of me. i went from crying and praying to not wanting to go and get checked up but now i'm more motivated to come in, not only are they my dentist doctors they are my support system, lawyers, therapist, and accountants (lol) they have helped me so much financially and they still take time out their days to call my insurance just so i can get covered (thank you aunty barb). Also thank you aunty Doreen for following up with my family too, for always find ways to fit my family in on their scheduling. if u ever need a good doctor pls come to their office, nice welcoming family and most importantly they will take care of you safely.

Every time I see Rica we have good conversations & she makes me feel at ease. I’m moving off the island soon, but I’m glad my experiences here have been as great as they’ve been. Everyone here has been nice & professional towards me. The front desk receptionists have worked with me. For example: I showed up on the wrong day for my appointment one time. I forgot her name, but she was very understanding. The dentists that have seen me are also professional & care about my concerns if I happen to have any. They work very effectively & efficiently. The check in process convenient and easy. I told Dr. Harada about my problem and he was able to analyze the problem fast. He told me my back was uneven and had to be adjusted. I’ve been to see Dr Chang a few times over the years. He and his staff are amazing and are always super kind and patient with my chickens. With my first chicken he saved her life after she likely ate something toxic and she ended up living another few years. My second chicken made it to 8.5 years and when she finally passed (naturally) their team sent my family a card ?.

Dr. Leara and his entire staff are wonderful! They're very warm, friendly and supportive- and provide excellent quality care for our 3 precious doggies. Dr. Leara is exceptionally knowledgeable, well experienced, gentle with our doggies; and also open minded about holistic care for them . He and his vet technicians are also patient and great with our doggies . The clinic in Kaimuki is clean and a good location for us - with parking lot in front their building . I was preparing a stressful moving trip off island with my two cats and they were very helpful every step of the way. From preparing Health certificates that are required for airports, to treating and tending to my cats with love and care. They even double checked documents to ensure I would have no trouble during the trip to our new home. They are a wonderful team and I wished I stayed on the island to continue working with them.

Our experience at Vetco Hawaii Kai has been great! We are usually greeted by Lisa at the reception area. She's so pleasant, and goes above and beyond to assist everyone that walks in or calls over the phone. I've been taking Bailey, Kenzi and Catalina to see Dr. Stibbard and Dr. Wallace for their veterinary care. Both of the Doctors and all of the Staff have great bedside manners with my dog/cats! Sometimes you just have to be an advocate for your dog when they get older. I noticed her eyes were going bad from diabetes and I really wanted to see an eye specialist. There are two on this island and this one was preferred out of the two options. It took several months for the first original appointment, which to me seemed kind of normal to see an animal specialist. But once you get in the other appointments seem to be easier. I think the one thing I noticed is that they seemed to be kind of old school. Appointments were scheduled over the phone and manually on a appointment book. Receipts are also not soft copies either to emails. A lot of times you're leaving a voice message on their phone, but it seems like the receptionist has several jobs to do there. Otherwise, everyone there is friendly and we really liked the doctor. She was so very patient and kind to nala which we really liked and always had her best interest. Some key notes - you must have a face mask on if you want to go inside. Prior to your appointment you must wait outside until you're called in for yours. The location is on a one way street in a alleyway so it's very easy to miss.
Dr Scott and his team have been taking care of my 15+ year old Shih Tzu since he was a baby. He saved him through many challenges and keeps him very healthy on the daily. He, Christina and all of his staff are always very kind and caring. Jeffrey loves Dr. Scott and we appreciate everything that they do!! We fully trust Dr. Scott, he's the best veterinarian and absolutely amazing!!

Super friendly from the time you walk in and leave. Dr. Wong and her assistant was super friendly and they answered all my questions and I’m very grateful and satisfied . As a bunny mom to two different breeds of rabbits, it’s hard to find a vet that specializes in rabbits not just dogs & cats . I would totally recommend them to any bunny mom’s or dads out there looking for an exotic vet for their rabbits this is the place to go ??.

After we moved we struggled a bit with finding the right vet who could help our cats. They’ve been struggling after the change, two have been fighting and one has been isolating.
Our first visit we met with a vet who suggested environment changes and setting up spaces for each cat so they could feel more comfortable. She gave us a print out as well with suggestions and tips on how to deescalate cat fights and it even had a list of suggested toys and trees! This helped a lot, we got a wheel for our Manx who has a lot of energy and she stopped fighting our male cat, the cat trees also helped our other female to have spaces and spots near my husband while he’s home who she absolutely adores. The only one who still wasn’t settling was our male.
Our second visit was to talk about our male cat specifically. We were concerned that something was happening that we couldn’t see. Pain, anxiety, or some other factor as he was pacing the house, meowing constantly, and completely inconsolable. The vet was completely on track with us, she suggested a blood panel to check for an underlying condition as well as a pain killer since he is older and is high risk for arthritic pain. We are waiting for an appointment to get the blood panel done since he needs to be sedated for it (he’s spicy but we love him), but we are very pleased with our experience so far ?
Update: the painkillers helped our boy so much and he became so much happier and cuddlier after this pain was managed.
We unfortunately had to say goodbye to him in September when he had a urinary blockage. It was an extremely hard time for me, he had been my companion for 10 years and played a huge part in my life and in the lives of others who knew him. This hospital did an amazing job being compassionate and kind during the whole process. They handled everything delicately and professionally while also being willing to work with and communicate with us on every aspect. I cannot emphasize how much this hospital has solidified a spot in our family’s heart.

I’ve been taking my 15 year old shih tzu here for over 5 years. This is the best place I’ve been in the area for grooming. They do a good job and I can tell my dog enjoys herself while she’s there. I’ve had experiences at other groomers in the area where my dog is very anxious when I pick her up…but never here. That’s how I know the groomer does a fantastic job with the dogs making them feel safe and loved while they’re there. You know the non-verbal communication you have with your dogs? Yeah, that’s how my dog told me she approves. She now wags her tail when I ask if she wants a haircut. ???

I began participating in classes at Iyengar Yoga SDC at the old center in Moilili in 1985. I took a Hot Pilates HIIT class and it was so much fun! Everything was quick and efficient. Soon as I booked the appointment all of my answers about the spot were texted to me before I even knew to ask.The class was challenging and upbeat. The instructor was super fit and very motivational. I’ll definitely be back.

As a chronic 'beginner' (due to lack of practice between classes), I really appreciate Elaine's skill and patience in helping everyone who attends the Saturday mid-day 'introductory' sessions. Elaine never seems annoyed if you can't get a pose right on the first try--even if she's shown it to you many times before. She also is very attentive to people who have medical conditions that limit their abilities, and knows which props to use to allow them to participate as fully as they can. The people attending the 'intro' class are very welcoming and interested in their fellow students. Nobody competes to be the best (or the most fashionable), and everyone is really supportive of each other. Since you don't have to bring any equipment and it's pay-as-you-go, it's a great way to see if Iyengar yoga is a style that suits you. My wife takes a week off from work to go to the Kofi Busia workshops every year, because she finds them so inspiring. Elaine and her colleagues have created a very nice environment for learning, and there's even plenty of free parking in the studio's basement!
Everyone was so nice, such a great spot, the class was very engaging, hard yet manageable. I hope to be back before I leave!
Just in town visiting my sister, but she loves this studio and invited me to come to class with her. First class I took was with Marcus… he was so much fun! The class was super challenging and he was very warm and welcoming. I’m taking two more classes while I’m here and I can’t wait! Definitely recommend.

Located on the second floor in a suite that accepts walk in. The smell might be the first thing you notice when u walk in here. Sadly they would'nt give me every aroma they used in there to put in my apartment Came in at 1130am on Thursday with no reservation. Was told we could wait til 12 in their lobby or walk around and come back Once we were in the room no one came in for about 10 mins. Just laying around in my underwear. They apologized many times and offered a hot stone treatment to make up for it which my mom quickly accepted and loved. They definitely listened when i mentioned too much pressure being applied. I didn't want to be sore for days. The one thing that confused me was they asked beforehand if you had specific areas u wanted attention to and they never focused on that. Other than that and the comments about my body and being in the gym a lot it was a great massage lol

I can't say enough about Lily Spa! My boyfriend and I travelled to Hawaii for the first time and while there celebrated his birthday. I knew before we arrived that I wanted to treat him to a spa day but it was so hard to find everything I wanted in a reasonable price...until I found Lily Spa. I spoke to the owner prior to arriving and asked if she would be willing to decorate the room for his birthday and she gladly said yes. We arrived and they met us in the parking lot to walk us inside. We felt welcomed and taken care of from that moment until leaving. We had a 90 min full body massage, 30 min body scrub (followed by a shower) and finished with an hour foot massage. The ladies working n us were both so nice! We are both larger people and we never felt judged, uncomfortable or like an inconvenience. They constantly checked in to make sure the pressure was ok and it was perfect! I wish I had time to go back again before I returned home, but the service was so good I would go back over an over. Honestly it's better than any massage i have received on the mainland. I carry a lot of knots in my neck and shoulders and typically I leave a massage sore for a few days I didn't have any soreness when leaving. I'm not sure hoe they managed that but 5 days later, I still feel great!

Sharing this on behalf of my mom. She feels so much better after working with folks at Orthosport. She looked forward to her sessions with Kevin. He would check on how she was during the sessions, and was very attentive to her needs. He was positive and encouraged her to stick with my program. Initially, Mom went to Orthosport for back pain. After her sessions, she feels better and plans to continue working out there on her own. I’m so grateful for the support of Kevin and all the staff at Orthosport. Business is located at Imperial Plaza 2nd floor on right of it is Fong Eyecare Vision Center which I go to. I was referred here from my friend who works at this company. My doctor's office made a request to do my physical therapy. My physical therapist Harvey did an evaluation on what I needed to work on in terms of exercises to help with my neck and shoulder. 2 physical therapy assistants looks in my file to know what exercises that I need. There is a machine which pt assistant set up so it can massage my neck for 20 minutes and heating pad under my back. While I am doing my exercises, they are helping at least 2 other people with their exercises. After I am done with my exercise, Harvey massages my neck and back. HMSA will only allow me 10 physical therapy sessions. At last session, physical therapist will do his evaluation.
This was such a wonderful experience!
I thought my injured shoulder was a lost cause, however, after a session of cupping and acupuncture I felt a significant difference and over time my shoulder is starting to heal!
The energy in the clinic is Zen and peaceful. The energy coming from the healers are positive and impactful!

I've been battling Army injures and some wear and tear for a long time and have had several massages at places where I felt I had been beat up. Not here. My shoulders had really been giving me a lot of problems this week and I came across HK acupuncture. I had a upper back/shoulder massage today and I'm so grateful for some relief. Dr. Jen has miracle hands. I've had this chronic pain on both my knees and within 1-2 sessions, I've experienced less pain and much improvement. She's thorough and gentle at the same time. 1- Become a competent, confident driver on Hawai'i's unpredictable roads.
2- Minimize the risk of accidents as close to zero as possible.
3- Beat driving anxiety with so much proof of my ability that doubting myself would feel ridiculous.
In just two two-hour sessions, Daniel exceeded my expectations:
Uncovering the Unknowns: Daniel helped me recognize 'unknown unknowns'—crucial skills many beginner drivers overlook. He taught me precise visual cues for turns and techniques to sharpen my situational awareness. His vehicle is very easy to drive and what I appreciate most is he let me choose where to meet and where to end each lesson. He has a very funny but level-headed demeanor (imagine your cool asian uncle).
