(thank you UCSD) Carrie gave me simple yet powerful exercises to improve my posture and strengthen the muscles required. I have never regularly done exercises before. The exercises have limited my pain and given me back the ability to walk 2-3 miles a day. This program is really training for an active lifetime. I highly recommend it.“

1851 San Diego Ave #100-A, San Diego“I've had a great experience training with Justin at Leo Fit Lab. He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in his clients' success. His expertise goes beyond strength training. He also has a deep understanding of overall health, recovery, and wellness, which makes every session valuable.
Justin creates workouts that are both challenging and enjoyable. He has a positive, encouraging attitude that keeps me motivated, and he's always happy to answer questions and explain the reasoning behind the exercises. He's also consistently punctual and well-prepared, which I really appreciate.
If you're looking for a trainer who is knowledgeable, motivating, and truly cares about helping you reach your goals, I highly recommend Justin.“

5AM - 6PM
2100 Kettner Blvd, San Diego“I've been going to BFT since October 2025, and it's had a really positive impact on my fitness. I'm stronger, more confident tackling movements I used to find difficult, and my stamina has improved significantly. I feel healthier, more capable in the gym, and I've even noticed a big improvement in my running, I get less tired and recover better.
The biggest downside is the cost. It's an expensive membership, which unfortunately makes it less accessible for a lot of people. That said, the price is fairly comparable to other boutique fitness studios in the area. For me, it's still worth it because it's within walking distance of my home. I'm on the 8-classes-per-month membership. I was initially frustrated that unused classes don't roll over, but it actually helped keep me accountable and ensured I made the most of my membership. The staff have also been great about working with you to find a plan that meets your needs.
One thing to consider is that I still keep a separate gym membership so I can do my own workouts. While BFT is fantastic for guided training, the fixed class schedule doesn't always fit around work and family commitments, so it's helpful to have another option for more flexibility.
Overall, if the membership fits your budget and you enjoy structured, coach-led training, I'd absolutely recommend BFT. The convenience, coaching, and results have made it worth the investment for me.“

6663 El Cajon Blvd E, San Diego“I recently had to leave Landform Fitness only because I moved and the commute became too long, but I wanted to share how great this gym really is. It’s easily one of the best values you’ll find — a true 24-hour gym with simple keyless entry, super affordable pricing, and a setup that feels almost like having your own personal gym.
There are rarely more than a few people inside (most times I saw 3–5 max), so you can just zone out and do your workout without waiting for equipment or being bothered. The space is clean, quiet, and has everything you need for a solid session.
If I still lived nearby, I wouldn’t have left. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a no-nonsense, low-crowd gym experience.“

13289 Black Mountain Rd Suite 7, San Diego“Good workouts with enough variety to see improvements without getting bored. Great community and coaches. 6AM - 8PM
7898 Ostrow St, San Diego“Not only did Ciarán heal the initial issue I got recommended to him for, he then upleveled my understanding of what was going on and how things worked and introduced me to a whole new way of taking better care of myself. The initial intensity of repairing the overuse toll from running too much evolved to maintenance and learning each time I had a visit. And to do it all with humor, patience, encouragement and belief in 'it can and will get better' made all the difference in the world. Thank you for believing in me and what else is possible!“
6AM - 6:15PM
6765 Mira Mesa Blvd Ste 148, San Diego“I’ve been going to F45 for a while now and I honestly love it. Every workout is different, so it never gets boring, and the coaches are always encouraging and make sure you’re doing the exercises correctly. The atmosphere is super welcoming, whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been working out for years. It’s definitely helped me stay consistent, get stronger, and actually enjoy working out. Highly recommend!“

“Great instructors and love that the class is only 40 minutes. Perfect amount of time.“
7:30AM - 7:30PM
1612 W Lewis St, San Diego“Morgan M is excellent for flow—her sequencing is well-structured, and her personality is genuinely kind and welcoming. She makes an effort to include everyone, which creates a really positive class environment. She also takes time to connect with students.
Simpson’s restore classes are unique in a good way. He gets you warmed up first, then has you hold poses for longer periods, which helps you really settle in. He also takes time after class to talk, and overall has a very chill, approachable vibe.
Nicole is my favorite instructor, along with Annie Louie and Sabrina. Her restore classes are especially strong—very yin-focused, with longer holds that allow for deeper relaxation. She is also very polite and takes time to connect after class, which I really appreciate.
Lacee also has a strong flow style, and overall these instructors have created welcoming and inclusive class environments in my experience.
On the other hand, my experience with Ella P was not as positive. Based on what I personally observed, she did not come across as very welcoming, and at times her tone toward me felt unnecessarily strong and uncomfortable. She also did not seem as open to interacting with students compared to other instructors.“

9161 Chesapeake Dr, San Diego“Just finished the 12 week plan and am having a great experience. I’m moving better, feeling stronger, and in the best shape I’ve been . My mobility has improved 100%, and friends and colleagues have noticed the difference.
Sean and his team, Molohi, Jonathan, and PJ, who just moved back east, do a great job building a positive, supportive environment and consistently pushing to improve. They clearly guide me through the workouts, actively keep me on track, and help me build confidence each week. I’m really happy with the progress I made in just 12 weeks and would absolutely encourage people to go there.“
6AM - 7PM
1727 University Ave 2nd Floor, San Diego“My first time to Barry’s and it was challenging but such a great workout. I decided to try it out for the first time when I saw the theme: Swiftie Saturday. Maya was the instructor and gave a tour of the studio when I arrived. She went over how the class goes and it was easy to follow along to her cues. I felt so energized and strong just in one workout. The studio was really clean and easy to find and park. They provide towels for the workout so you don’t have to bring your own. The workout kicked my butt but it definitely motivated me to become stronger and push myself, and I will plan to come back again.“

5260 Riley St, San Diego“I first started training with Chris Keith in 2005, and 21 years later, he is still the only person I trust with my fitness journey. Chris is incredibly intelligent when it comes to muscle groups and nutrition; he taught me the science behind meal prep, and his gentle demeanor makes every session a pleasure. He got me in the best shape of my life back then, and after training with him on and off over the years, I’ve recently started back up again. He’s doing it all over again now! I highly recommend Chris Keith.“

2161 Kettner Blvd, San Diego“I was visiting San Diego from out of town and was looking for a bootcamp-style workout while I was there. Most local gyms seemed to focus on memberships, so I decided to give F45 a try with a guest pass... and I'm so glad I did!
From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The facility was clean, the workouts were challenging and well-run, and my sessions at F45 ended up being some of my favorite parts of the trip.
A special shoutout to Braden for the warm hospitality and for recommending some great local restaurants and bars. Everyone on the team went above and beyond to make me feel like a regular member rather than just a visitor. I will definitely be returning next time I am in town!“

It has dumbbells up to 175 lbs, a full boxing ring, 3 cable pulleys for pull downs and cable rows. The owner Scott is very generous with his time. He genuinely cares about his staff and helps them improve their business. Scott is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to business. He sets his staff up for success. He talks to everyone in the building and brings life and culture into the facility. I highly recommend this facility. This is the best gym in San Diego!“

7160 Miramar Rd Ste 110, San Diego“A couple of years ago I went to Moises when I was very new to strength and to lifting in general. A few sessions with him were tansformational in terms of practical knowledge. I still train, and still use his technique. Never needed any additional training. Beside all the good training I admired Moises's honesty and directness. He is not one of those who want you to stay dependent on them so you buy more sessions. He simply teaches you how to train.“

“I started working out at Iron Orr in February 2026 and I was warmly welcomed by John for my initial evaluation/conversation. He dove into why I was looking for a trainer and what my goals were. I was candid with him - I didn't like the way that I looked and I needed help to look how I wanted. He asked a lot of pointed questions to decide on the best game plan and we were off to the races.
Oscar has been my trainer since February and he is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. I have a few injuries for which exercises need to be modified and Oscar has always found a way to help me push without risk of injury. He knows when I can push harder but he also recognizes my limits. Oscar has helped me greatly with my nutrition and he is always encouraging when I feel stuck. I've also trained with Fernando, and he is extremely encouraging and attuned to nutrition and form.
The whole team is super nice and encouraging, and I am always greeted warmly when I arrive. Iron Orr is truly full service, not only from building workouts but they will guide you with nutrition to ensure that your goals are met. John has even offered to make grocery lists and suggest recipes in the event I didn't have time.“
