reUnify Yoga Yoga

“I love the Reunify studio, staff and community in San Diego:) This review is for the Yoga Nidra training taught by Shay! I always felt so peaceful after going to Shay’s Sunday night Yin and Yoga Nidra class so I decide to take the training to learn more about it. It was well organized, well paced and I now have such a deeper understanding of Yoga Nidra. Shay is an amazing teacher and her passion for this modality really shines through. Thank you Shay and reunify for offering this training :)“

“Was visiting San Diego and decided to check out this studio. I’ve never done barre before and it was definitely not what I expected. Within 5 minutes I was already sweating. My instructor was Karli and she walked me through what to expect during the class. She’s a sweet and amazing soul. I would definitely recommend this studio if you’re wanting to try something different“

Honey Yoga Yoga

“About six months after moving to San Diego, an acquaintance suggested I try Honey Yoga for exercise and to meet people. I attended a restore class. Michaela was my first instructor and I loved her calm, non judgmental energy . I looked around the class and saw a diversity in races, age, and body type. It was the first time I’d been to a yoga studio and didn’t self conscious about my body or my ability to do poses. After signing up for the 3-week special I tried a variety of classes. It’s been over year now, and while I’ve tried almost even course they offer, I’ve found my favorites (restore with Michaela, slow flow with Jordi, and high-lo with Kaia) all of the classes have been lovely. Jen’s sound bath class is a must-do-experience. Her voice is beautiful! The staff, led by Ashley (who has the best pose movement count down voice) are so welcoming and knowledgeable. I’ve settled into my routine and love the monthly challenges. I am so happy to have a home away from home.“

Liber8Fit Underground Yoga

“I honestly can’t say enough good things about Liber8Fit! I’ve been on a full year unlimited membership now and it’s easily the best decision I’ve made for my fitness.

What really sets this place apart is the vibe (and the fact that everyone tries to keep it clean, which is a must for me!). It’s such a safe, encouraging, and motivating space. It truly feels like the kindest community ever, which is why I actually show up to class excited instead of it feeling like a chore. ?

The workouts are always creative and engaging. I love that there’s a variety of equipment to play with, from dumbbells, kettlebells, and ropes to sandbags, bands, balls, and even a few machines. Whether it’s a full-body functional training circuit or a low-impact yoga/stretching & mobility session, the programming is always spot on.

Angela, the owner, is just the best. She is so nice, personable, and always full of energy. She and all the trainers are total experts at what they do, and they’re also incredibly accommodating and supportive.

If you’re looking for a motivating gym with community that actually cares about you, this is the spot! ??“

“Truly a special human Janis is. She really cares about her clients and has helped me A LOT. You do not find people like her anymore in my opinion. She really understands the human body, way muscles function. She is well educated and continues to expand her knowledge. I came initially for neck issues but after 3 sessions with her my symptoms are going away. Now able to move onto other problem areas which is awesome. Highly recommend her!“

“I'm pretty inexperienced with yoga and everyone at Sojourn is so lovely and patient. I'm so excited to have connected with them. It's the perfect place to build a new regular yoga practice.

The studio is immaculate and offers plenty of props that are well maintained. Street parking is generally easy to find.

There is a wide variety of classes and workshops that I'm excited to explore more.

Definitely recommend especially with the introductory offer. You've got nothing to lose!“

Radiance Yoga Center Inc Yoga

“Morgan M is excellent for flow—her sequencing is well-structured, and her personality is genuinely kind and welcoming. She makes an effort to include everyone, which creates a really positive class environment. She also takes time to connect with students.

Simpson’s restore classes are unique in a good way. He gets you warmed up first, then has you hold poses for longer periods, which helps you really settle in. He also takes time after class to talk, and overall has a very chill, approachable vibe.

Nicole is my favorite instructor, along with Annie Louie and Sabrina. Her restore classes are especially strong—very yin-focused, with longer holds that allow for deeper relaxation. She is also very polite and takes time to connect after class, which I really appreciate.

Lacee also has a strong flow style, and overall these instructors have created welcoming and inclusive class environments in my experience.

On the other hand, my experience with Ella P was not as positive. Based on what I personally observed, she did not come across as very welcoming, and at times her tone toward me felt unnecessarily strong and uncomfortable. She also did not seem as open to interacting with students compared to other instructors.“

“Diggs Bodyworks provides 10/10 service. I’ve been getting massages for over a decade, and she is by far one of the best I’ve ever come across. She is incredibly professional, highly knowledgeable, and has such a calming, positive energy.

She really listens to your concerns and lets your body guide her to the areas that need the most attention. She asked what type of pressure I prefer, and she got it exactly right. I haven’t walked out of a massage feeling this relaxed and stress-free in years.

I will definitely be going back to see her!“

“I'm very active new to pilates. Powerhouse is clean, organized, and a good price range. I am so happy to have found both studios! I travel for work so the option to do class packs is crucial for me. Other places are outrageous and insist on monthly memberships. Extra plus is both locations are fairly close to home. Instructors are great at cueing and there's a nice vibe amongst participants.“

AquaVie Fitness + Wellness Club Yoga

“I am so impressed with AquaVie. The facility is clean, well maintained, and has great exercise equipment. But, what I love most about AquaVie is the staff and trainers.

Christian did a wonderful job touring me around the gym. He pointed out all of the unique features and he worked with me to get the best membership for my goals. Without him I probably wouldn’t have joined.

I arranged for my complimentary personal training session with Bader. He is great! Very focused on doing exercises that meet your goals and life activities. I can’t say enough about Bader. I have been training with him twice a week for 4 weeks and I lost 13 pounds and feel so much stronger and motivated to continue training.

AquaVie is the best!“
