In preparing for a big move to another city, I was put in touch with Jack and his team to remove a number of pieces of furniture and other items from my home. The team arrived as scheduled (even early!), quickly surveyed all the items to be taken, then systematically began loading everything on their truck for removal. Every member of the team was congenial and respectful, even when last minute changes for more removal were requested. They worked quickly with expertise during the whole process and took great care not to damage anything in their wake.
I was so impressed with this team’s diligence, that I will be hiring them again for my out of city move!

Burlington Fence replaced one side of our backyard fence (doesn’t sound like a big job but it was) and replaced two of our backyard gates. They were amazing! I had made an appointment for today with Gino who has been styling my hair for a couple of years now to my satisfaction, however today my hair was really too short to require a cut so I decided to let my daughter be pampered by him rather than cancel the appointment. In her entire life the only time she has been to a professional stylist was for her wedding the rest of the time she has relied upon my administrations quite confidently. From the moment Gino began to shampoo her hair and then massage her scalp she began to relax. All her worries instantly left her. He did an absolutely marvellous job on her very fine hair and complimented me on the way I had been looking after it with no formal training.My daughter felt completely pampered and looked gorgeous when she left. She said she could have sat by the bowl having his magic fingers massaging her head for hours, her headache which had been plaguing her for days had miraculously dissipated.Well done Gino I am so very happy that I discovered you.

I was so pleased with my first visit that I came back again. This time, I got a pedicure with shellac, a bio gel refill, and an aura nail design. I came in with a group of 5 guys, and even though we originally booked for five people(5 pedicures and a fill), they had no problem accommodating an extra person when one more joined us last minute. That kind of flexibility really stood out.
The place is super clean, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the whole atmosphere is just fun and welcoming. We were definitely a bit on the rowdy side, but they handled our energy like pros and made the whole experience enjoyable for everyone.

We were devastated when our house sewer line collapsed. Thankfully we were referred to the Plugged Piper. They are trustworthy, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. In no time they did a temporary patch to our sewer and later refined the existing sewer to create a new long lasting pipe. They left my basement spotless and I felt very comfortable with their employees. Overall just an amazing experience and wonderful end result to a very stressful repair in our older home. I had an issue with my washing machine and honestly didn’t know if it could still be fixed, but these guys handled it professionally from start to finish. The whole experience of picking tiles for our bathroom, accent tiles, grout colour and in the end tile cleaner was one of the best reno experiences we have had! Support and customer service were outstanding throughout. At the end of our project they accepted back some unopened boxes of tile and a corner shelf we didn't use, which was very nice. Then we were given a surprise, Brian noticed a pricing error on the original order and offered us an even larger credit! We would never have known the difference but that's service and integrity above and beyond that we really appreciate and is so hard to find these days. Brian unexpectedly put hundreds of dollars of credit back on my credit card! I cannot say enough good things about this location and their customer service. We couldn't be happier with this company. Johan came right to our house to measure the room and to show us samples of the carpet we were interested in. A different company did everything online. (They trusted our measurements, which were wrong, and sent us pictures of different carpets). CarpeatDeals made sure the measurements were accurate. It was nice to have someone come to our house. We used Covering Concepts for our kitchen floor tiles and upstairs hardwood floor. We are very happy with the results. The tiles are quite variegated and they took the time to make sure the tiles were placed to look as natural as possible. The hardwood floor is well laid even in tricky areas. The staff in the store are nice and helpful. This company was recommended by our contractor. They may not be the quickest, but they get the job done well. We would use them again.
No ... I do not recommend Karndean flooring. In 2020, I had Karndean floating floor installed on the entire main floor of a new townhome. I upgraded from what was standard to Karndean as I loved the look of the Karndean floor and was impressed by the promises. Well, was I in for a suprise and major disappointment. After a year, boards had separated in clusters in the dining area, by a staircase, in the hallway, and in the master bedroom. I called the flooring company. The rep came out to repair it. Well, another year later the same thing occurred in the same 4 areas, different boards. This has gone on for 5 years now. At year 3 the Karndean rep and the flooring rep came out to determine the problem. The flooring rep arranged for a crew to raise baseboards that were too tight against the floor. The following year, exactly the same thing occurred. It happens annually. In 2025, the flooring rep and the Karndean rep again came to repair the gaping floorboards and they determined that it was time to make a claim to Karndean to replace the flooring. I recently learned the claim was denied due to tightness of some of the baseboards against the flooring and a bolt for the the closet door in the entry going through the flooring into the subfloor. I just so happens, the bolt is nowhere near the areas of the board boards that are gaping. So do I recommend Karndean flooring? Definitely not. I am stuck with a floor that continues to create gaps annually. And I am disappointed that a floor that I believed to be superior and which was considerably more expensive, performed so poorly.

Kirsty was an expert in carpet selection and putting this big 2 day project together and her installer did a perfect job in our upper 4 bedrooms of our house. I recommend splitting a 4 bedrooms re-carpeting project into 2 different installation days if you have lots of furniture already in place as we do. We did the install on a Thursday and Tuesday and I was able move the dressers, beds, desks, chairs, books, closet clothes out over the 2 days before each install day. I slide the dressers, mattress, book cases, on sliders available in a kit at Home Hardware. It took us about 4 hours to clear out 2 rooms and move the contents to the other rooms. It took about 2 hours to move it all back after carpet install was complete. We repeated this process for the next 2 rooms as well. We declined having the installer move the furniture which saved us about $280. This project requires a lot of careful planning on my part to avoid chaos and damaging walls or floors. Fortunately planning ensured no damage anywhere and the carpet by Anderson is beautiful.
We cannot say enough AMAZING things about Alex and the team at Artisan Contracting. They recently completed a major renovation on our home, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish.
The project involved removing our existing kitchen and creating a much larger, open-concept living space. Alex and his team installed a beautiful custom kitchen with quartz countertops, custom cabinetry and oak hardwood flooring. They also removed the entire back exterior wall of our home and the existing deck, installing a large support beam for a large new family room addition.
Alex and team are extremely skilled at what they do. Their quality of work and attention to detail was outstanding. What impressed us most, beyond the fantastic quality of work, was the professionalism of Alex and his team. They were incredibly organized, respectful, and kept the job site extremely clean throughout the entire project. Because of this, we were able to live in our home during the entire renovation — even when there was no back wall on the house!
Alex was incredible when it came to communication. He responded quickly to every question we had, always providing thoughtful, knowledgeable, and honest answers. At no point did we ever feel pressured or rushed into making decisions. He was always patient and gave us the time and information necessary to make choices we felt confident about.
One of the things we appreciated most was the transparency throughout the project. Alex provided daily updates so we always knew what work had been completed, what was happening next, and how the project was progressing. His quote was detailed and transparent from the beginning, with no surprises along the way. The project was completed on time and on budget, aside from the upgrades and changes that we chose to add ourselves after the initial quote.
Another huge benefit of working with Alex was how he handled all of the permits and inspections required for the project. He managed the entire process and ensured all requirements were met. It was completely worry-free for us.
We are absolutely thrilled with our renovation and would highly recommend Alex and Artisan Contracting to anyone looking for a contractor who is skilled, trustworthy, and professional. This place is fantastic! I had terrible pain in one of my molars but didn't have a dentist to go to. Dr. D’Souza saw me one hour after I called, did an assessment, and scheduled me in the next day to do the required root canal. Procedure went well and I was only a little sore for a couple hours after, which was much better than my previous root canal at another office years ago. This office showed a level of care and empathy that I've never experienced at a dentist's office before. I was nervous, anxious (like most people having to go to a dentist), and obviously in a lot of pain, and the way Dr. D’Souza conducted herself made it clear that it mattered to her that I was properly taken care of and pain free asap. Every member of the team I interacted with was not just a top level professional, they all also just seemed like genuinely good people that wanted to help me. If anyone is putting off going to the dentist (it had been YEARS for me), just go to this place. You will be taken care of and there will be zero judgment if you haven't been in a long time.

We took our 4-year-old small girl to Dr. Silveira for the very first time, and it was such a pleasant experience for my partner, me, and most importantly, our dog. She is adopted and, due to her past, she is quite anxious and fearful.
Dr. Silveira is the first vet we’ve encountered who took the extra, extra time to comfort our girl before anything else. Our girl’s mood remained stable and not as nervous because Dr. Silveira and this clinic uses a “fear-free” method. Dr. Silveira did not coerce or “pin down” the animal; instead, she worked around our girl’s boundaries. We saw it with our own eyes, and it made a world of difference in our girl’s comfort level, who is currently napping away peacefully :)
I also appreciated how detailed Dr. Silveira’s notes are (compared to our last vet who barely wrote anything after a visit). Front reception was super kind and attentive too!
Despite the 45-minute to 1-hour drive, the exceptional tender care, professionalism and expertise we receive are more than worth the traffic. We would do anything for our girl and are just incredibly happy we found the perfect match.
