“I originally called the company when my heat did not go on on a cold morning. They took the call immediately and had someone out within a few hours. The tech man gave a thorough assessment of what the problem was ( heat exchanger cracked, some other issues of rust and debris in the unit as well as the assessment that it wasn't originally installed by another company that installed it 11 years ago. He presented all the evidence of the problems on an iPad, with photos of everything that was broken, dirty, rusty or problematic. He priced out the repairs. Given the major issues (cracked heat exchanger being the worst) I asked to price out a new unit. A separate. person came out that afternoon (this was a Thursday). I talked over my options and chose to go with a new unit. A crew of three were out two days later and installed a new furnace and AC. They were punctual, friendly, knowledgable and efficient in their work. They made sure I knew how to use the new thermometer, spending an additional 15 minutes on that. Overall I was quite impressed with the entire organization and highly recommend them. These are people who know what they are doing and are not out to pull the wool over their customer's eyes. Definite 5 star company--Im pressed with Jake, the original tech, Jordan who set up the sale, and Stefan and Dan who installed (plus one other fellow whose name I forget). I also had my ducts cleaned as well. That crew came a week later and brought the same professionalism to the task, showing me via video the before and after of their work. “Eric did a great job fixing all three issues I had. He knew right away what the problems were and why I couldn't figure them out myself. He was knowledgeable, polite, and communication was great. The time range they gave when he would come out was accurate, and I liked how he called a half hour beforehand. He was also time-efficient-- he was done in the time I expected him to be done, and payment was easy. He provided an itemized receipt e-mailed to me which I also liked. He also gave some maintenance tips for the future. The work was a little on the pricier side but the quality of it was great. I'd much rather pay extra for a company that hires licensed/certified people than go with a cheaper place that does unreliable, half-baked work. Would definitely use again.“
“A leak due to an older shower faucet upstairs caused damage in the wall and the downstairs ceiling. Instead of trying to repair the old faucet, we decided to replace it. Due to old style setup, installation of a new faucet required pipes infrastructure changes. “Wow! I was asking in our local FB group for recommendations on an HVAC company. A few people recommended BRC so I decided to give them a call.I live over an hour away from my mom who was having heating issues and she has a home warranty company that basically told me to find my own contractor.At first when I called, I was told they’ve never worked with the HW company we’re using but they’d get more information. I figured I probably wouldn’t hear back but a few hours later, I received an update and they called the HW company and figured out the exact process of working with them.I’m blown away by how helpful BRC has been so far! We haven’t had the tech come out yet/completed the warranty process so I’ll provide a review update as that process moves along but as of right now, I’m very impressed.“

“I have nothing but good things to say about HWHR Chicago. My water heater unexpectedly starting making horrific noises on a weekend in the middle of the night. I called HWHR the very next morning. Jim was lightning fast in responding to me. Not even two days later, Jim and team were able to come out and replace my heater before something went wrong. Outside of excellent communication, Jim answered all my questions and addressed all of my concerns. Furthermore, as a condo building resident, Jim was respectful of all HOA rules and kept common areas clean/undamaged when moving tools and the old heater out of the building. Pricing was very reasonable compared to other quotes I received (especially given the heater location, which is difficult to access). “I had an amazing experience. I came out later Thursday night to my water heater leaking water. After multiple calls to a few "24" hour emergency places that had no openings, I was beyond frustrated. I decided it's probably best to replace vs fix and reached out on thumbtack to see my options. Duct Professionals responded so quickly! Not only that but they had a whole proposal laid out for me to review, a great price, and were available to come that next morning. “Patrick did an incredible job replacing our furnace. It was a complex install because the old furnace was original to the condo construction and tucked into a closet in such a way that it could not simply be slid out (ducting on one side, wall on the other side, doorway jutting into the space in front of the furnace). The first contractor we talked to claimed we would need to destroy the drywall doorway, swap the furnaces, and repair the wall. The second claimed we would need to remove and rebuild the ductwork to the left. Patrick saved us from these destructive, expensive, and time consuming options by dismantling the old furnace to remove it. Seems obvious now, and I can't believe no one else suggested this. We are so pleased with this outcome. We got our AC replaced at the same time and this was thankfully very uneventful! Great job to both Patrick and colleague who came out yesterday. Highly recommend :)“

“Jeremy and his team are responsive, professional, knowledgeable. We were having major issues with our boiler (constantly getting airlocked). He knew exactly what to do, how to fix it, giving us multiple options for how extreme we wanted our updates to the system to be. When, after the work, it wasn't working exactly as smoothly as we had hoped (it was heating, but there was some unevenness in the system), he and his guys came out again and modified the work to resolve the issue completely. These systems can be delicate and touchy and I really wouldn't trust anyone to work with our boiler system except NorthSide. 100% recommend.“
