These guys were great. They came precisely on time, knew their stuff, were pleasant and easy to talk with and did the work efficiently. The biggest surprise to me is that the one who came to our house conferred with other plumbers at his home office to help figure out the best/cheapest/fastest repairs. We got the benefit of several plumbers' knowledge, not just one.
Mergenthaler has done work for my 84 year old mother in the past and done great work but when her water heater started leaking recently the service they provided was EXCEPTIONAL. She was in a panic as water filled her basement. Not only did Mike at Mergenthaler talk her through how to turn off the water but when he realized he could not get there right away he referred her to someone who could! As if that was not amazing enough he called a few days later to make sure she was ok! They are not just quality plumbers but a class act! There is no one I would trust more in my mother's house. While cleaning up last night, the sinks suddenly became totally clogged. Plunging not only did not work, it blew out the P-trap under the sink and then we had water everywhere! I called Mergenthaler Plumbing this morning and they were able to get Edin out to me this afternoon.
He quickly diagnose the problem (goofy, poorly fitting tubes, caulked together under the sink!), and he’s was able to fix the problem easily. Also identified why our dishwasher wasn’t draining completely.
So wonderful to have my kitchen back in less than 24 hours!
