I sought out care through comprehensive psychiatric services and was seen by Dr. Sheikh. So far, he has been incredibly patient, empathetic, mellow/easy to talk to, and thorough in making sure he provides the proper care for the appropriate diagnosis. Stop scrolling and call Nisan ASAP for any foundation needs!!! I was accepted into the CRMP's residential seismic retrofit program and started looking for Earthquake Brace and Bolt (EBB) program contractors. I had 8 companies come out for bids. Some never showed up, others showed up late despite them setting the appointment time and date... imagine the frustration! Then came Nisan! He is no non-sense and honest. He won't waste your time! Out of all the contractors, he was the only one that went over the EBB requirements and proposed work, and was honest about another issue with my foundation. Imagine my surprise when all the other contractors ignored a pretty significant issue that needed to be addressed. His bid was very competitive and he took care of everything!!! Other contractors wanted me to pull the city permits for them, and deal with inspections and uploading pictures and documents onto the EBB portal, but not Nisan! He handled everything, was on time, and very professional! You won't be disappointed!
Dr. Eriksen is a totally to die for dentist! He’s fantastic! I had an achy tooth today and am going away for a month. He squeezed me in and immediately found the cause … and was able to fix it! There have been many other times that I had an immediate problem, and he always made time to see me promptly. The doctor is very available.

Got to meet and get a haircut from Cindy yesterday, and she was such a joy. We had to work a bit to find the kind of cut I wanted, but she made it easy. I was referred to Alan by a friend who has been going to him for years for waxing. I was a bit nervous since I haven't been waxed in over 20 years and wasn't sure what to expect. Alan is the sweetest person. Instantly made me feel comfortable and relaxed. My first appointment he explained what he would be doing and answered any questions I had. He uses a high quality wax that seemed to make it much less painful than I remember. I also have very sensitive skin, and he explained how to care for it after the treatment. A few days later I had some irritation where I had been waxed (which is common if you have sensitive skin and are fair skinned like myself!). Alan was amazing and offered to have me stop by that same afternoon and he applied a special moisturizer that seemed to calm the irritation. He provides an excellent service and I will never be waxed by anyone but Alan! Highly recommended!

It's never easy to find a great hairstylist, and when it comes to men's cuts in the East Bay, she's been my favorite. She is very detailed-oriented and specifically focused on every haircut while being an incredibly interesting and great person. I enjoy catching up with Stephanie just as much as I do the haircut! I've been going to Salon Cartier more than 10 years (15??--it's been a while). It's always been the best experience and I look forward to it every time. It goes without saying, Robin and her crew do an amazing job on my hair, but they also make it feel like the most welcoming and friendly environment, almost like hanging out with friends who happen to be extremely serious about making you look good.
I had pretty long hair when I started going there--and I used to think long hair was kind of self-sustaining and didn't require much attention, but I was amazed at how much they were able to do with it to really make me look great--more rock-and-roll and less barbarian hippie (which is where I think I was at when I started with them). Eventually my hair got a bit thin and my hairline was giving me trouble, and I decided to go with a shorter look, that I've stuck with now for years, and it's a great look that downplays any struggles I've had with my quality and quantity of hair. They also do an amazing job on the color--it looks totally natural, though they can make your gray hair look awesome, too, if you decide to go that route.
Anyway, Salon Cartier is highly recommended by me--some men feel weird about going to a premium salon, but you'll feel right at home and it's totally worth it.

I have been going to Reagan at this salon for about 2+ years now and I am so happy to have found this place. I get my cut, color, and extensions done here, and since I have thinning hair, Reagan is so thoughtful about making sure not to damage my hair. She also goes above and beyond in finding creative ways for me to get what I am looking for. I have also been looking for someone who can do the perfect ash-brown color for me and I love the mix she has created for me, I always get a ton of compliments on my color. I found Nail Today off of google maps and decided to go there based on all the positive reviews! Davy and Harry were very welcoming and payed attention detail. This set was only $56 which is very reasonable and affordable considering that it is french tip (which usually costs extra) and had a design. The shop was also very clean and cute inside. Cristina was amazing! I've dealt with milia on my nose for as long as I can remember but they've gotten particularly noticeable in recent years. I decided I wanted to get them extracted because they were driving me crazy, and after some searching I discovered Cristina. I booked the Intensive Blemish Treatment with her and she did a wonderful job at extracting all of my milia. She did it with such care that they healed flawlessly. She uses the best lashes and you will never feel your lashes poke you. My lashes are always applied right at the lash line. Bea individually removes the lashes that have been out grown at the beginning of each appointment to ensure your lashes are always on point. I have never had the glue burn my eyes like most lash artist. She specializes in natural, but does an amazing job on my volume. We had a great experience with Abhilasha's bridal and groom hair-and-makeup services for our sangeet, ceremony, and reception. Each of the looks she crafted for the bride were unique and top-notch, and the styling she provided to the groom made him look his best during each event. She also did a wonderful job with bridal saree draping and jewelry setting. If you are looking for a high-end hair-and-makeup artist that brings out natural beauty and creates looks that work well with your outfits, then you should definitely go with Abhilasha for your wedding. One of the first things that stood out to us when meeting with hair-and-makeup artists during the early stages of wedding planning was the fact that Abhilasha had a ton of experience with South Indian brides, which is not the case for many artists. Her Instagram also features a wide variety of looks, complexions, and face types that showcases the strength of her artistry and skills. Based on this portfolio of work and the fact that her pricing was fair (i.e., comparable to other leading hair-and-makeup artists in the Bay Area), we felt comfortable that Abhilasha was the right artist for our South Indian wedding. In advance of the wedding weekend, we exchanged stylistic ideas with Abhilasha to ensure that we were aligned on what types of looks we wanted to achieve. During the hair and makeup trial, we tried a look for our sangeet that didn't quite work. Over the next few days, we discussed different options, and she ultimately helped select a look that turned out great for the sangeet. We really appreciated that Abhilasha listened to our feedback and worked with us to arrive at great looks for the different events. Additionally, Abhilasha provided us with great feedback on the jewelry that we were considering for the ceremony. Because she flagged this about a month in advance of the wedding, it gave us enough time to find a better alternative. Based on our experience, we highly recommend scheduling a bridal trial if you want to test out a unique look so that you avoid any surprises on wedding day. We were very happy we did this as it made us feel more comfortable entering the wedding weekend. During the wedding weekend, Abhilasha was on-time, organized, and professional. She told us to block off 2.5-3 hours for each hair-and-makeup session, which was an accurate estimate. She paid very close attention to detail and made sure that every look was as close to perfection as could be. She also was thoughtful - she made sure there was not too much commotion in the bridal suite during the pre-reception hair-and-makeup session, which allowed the bride to take a nap while getting her hair done. Abhilasha is a fun, sassy, and honest person, which means you will not be bored during your hair and makeup sessions. Abhilasha also did the groom's makeup for each of the events (it took about 10-15 minutes per event). While some people may not think this is necessary, we found that her makeup made sure the groom looked his best during the wedding photoshoots. Ultimately, if you are planning an Indian wedding in the Bay Area or Napa and want an elevated look for your bridal and groom hair-and-makeup, then you should strongly consider Abhilasha. Her work is top-notch and you will walk away feeling extremely satisfied with your looks for your wedding events.

HMS plumbing saved the day! My water heater not only went out Monday, but was leaking all in the garage. I had googled plumbers and was scheduled for next day estimates. I called Harry (referred to by my sister) and he was at my house within the hour. He gave his estimate and was here the next day hours before he originally said. He added copper piping, a relief valve that actually worked, new lines, a tray, pvc piping, etc. He told me step by step of everything he did, how to work the ignition, showed how he positioned the valve handles to be reachable. He had the new heater delivered to the house and took the old one away. I am beyond satisfied with his work, his demeanor, and his honesty.

I reside in the east bay and was in the market for a whole home generator to assist with frequently scheduled brown outs / general power outages. After receiving several in-home surveys + estimates from various companies (some majorly trying to up-sell me on their large cap generators) I decided to go with TJ. TJ was punctual, knowledgeable, not overly pushy, and his pricing was reasonable. I explained my needs and he supplied me with several options while explaining the pros and cons to each. Ultimately decided to go with a portable generator which his crew was able to hardwire into the house. It works great! Total project time took 2 days. After install, he gave me a crash course on generator use + maintenance and even provided an easy to understand instruction binder with a crate of additional accessories. Overall, I would highly recommend TJ and his crew!
I called H&L Chem-Dry because I had a dark, sticky stain from duct tape on a bedroom carpet. I had duct taped a chair mat to the carpet to finish a sewing project for just a couple of days. This business made an appointment just a few days from that phone call. They arrived on time and went to work. They cleaned up the dark stain, cleaned the rest of the carpet, and restored the beauty of the carpet. Excellent service with success. I would recommend this company and use them again.

I hired Extreme Clean to clean the house in preparation for staging and listing on the market. They did a very good job getting everything clean including the windows. In addition to a thorough general cleaning, we also had them do a deep cleaning of the entryway tile, which was about 35 years old and the tile in the original bathroom from 1957. Both floors came out really well. The entryway had about 1/4" grout, which was restored to its almost original color and the bathroom floor was the cleanest I had ever seen it. It may not be cheap, but they certainly us our money's worth.
We were desperate when our regular house cleaner called in sick the day before Thanksgiving. I went on line and called The Clean Sweep people. Laura answered the phone and assured me that she might have a crew who could clean our house that day. She was very warm as well as concerned and told me she would call me right back. She did exactly that and told me a crew of two people would be at my house at noon. The husband and wife team showed up and did a good job of cleaning my house. The price was 50 percent higher than I had been paying however I had little choice. They were there and did a good job. I would most definitely recommend them.

Robert and his team at Decade Construction are amazing. They helped us with an interior remodel - literally every room in the house including the kitchen and all the bathrooms - and took care of everything WHILE WE WERE STILL IN THE HOUSE (because we are crazy). It really was a partnership, working together to figure things out and make it work. The whole team became our friends - lots of mutual respect. We will be throwing them a big party sometime this summer to celebrate the work they did.
The project had hiccups. None of them were caused by Decade - hiccups happen whenever you do construction / remodels, particularly on a house originally built in the 1950s. And even though Decade didn't cause the hiccups, they fixed them all and were flexible and on top of every situation.
We love the results, and so far all of our guests do too. Excellent work. Stand up people. Can't recommend them more, and I trust them to anything else I need done at any time.

Paul and his crew with Norcal Rodent Proofing did a thorough job of cleaning out our crawl space ( very dirty with lots of insulation pulled down), placing plastic under the house and repairing holes in under house ducts caused by rodent damage. He likes doing a good job and imparts his expectations to his workers - he notices small openings and does a lot of the patchwork himself. He is willing to also work with reasonable owner suggestions or give feedback based on his experience. Rodent clean up and house proofing is hard and tedious work and of course the rodents can find their way back in after a few years so I will be happy to work with him in the future. He has a specific way of working ( being detailed with every client) so often runs late, but is good about letting you know so recommend being open ended about appt times. Have worked with numerous pest business' for my home in the past and I think Norcal has been the best so far in actually doing all of the work required.

I see some old reviews about a Dr Haynes. He sold the practice to a married couple of dentists with the last name Kim. This office was recommended to me by a friend who understands my dental anxiety. I had to take a Valium to get my teeth cleaned 12 years ago and this was the next visit. I took Ativan to clam down for an exam and teeth cleaning. It was so much better than I had even hoped! They were friendly, understanding and very gentle. I had 4 cavities- no surprise there. I am going back to get them filled next week and am not feeling dread or fear. If you have anxiety about dentists, I strongly recommend that you give them a try. By the way, getting twelve years of plaque off you teeth really improves your smile!
Needed a tooth cavity treated which was causing infection with pain and swelling. After reviewing XRays, viable treatment options including comprehensive pricing, we decided that extraction was best. Dr Yi walked me through expectations from start to finish. In retrospect, Dr. Yi made the decision much easier and we are extremely pleased with the end result. Dr Huang changed my life. I broke my foot and was dealing with residual pain for over a year. I couldn't walk on it and it would keep me up in excruciating pain at night. The doctor said it was just arthritis from the after effect of the broken bone. I attempted everything to help it with even placing stem cell patches on the foot to try to heal it. I went to see him for my sleep apnea and breathing. He realized my foot was out of place at the first appointment.
Apparently my foot was out of place, he popped it back into place, and I no longer feel any pain. It is honestly a miracle and a blessing having met this man. I truly thought I was never going to walk on this foot again before meeting him

For a couple of years, I dealt with terrible hip pain that affected my daily life and forced me to stop playing soccer. Kaiser told me surgery was my only option and that I likely wouldn’t play again in high school. Dr. Cancel took a completely different approach. I had a wonderful visit at Empowered Family. They took amazing care of me. Their first visit is super affordable at $125 and I decided to upgrade to get the massage portion and I was so impressed. I came in with severe sciatica hardly walking and left without pain. Dr. K and Dr. Russ are extremely patient, talked me through all of the treatments, and spent a good amount of time making sure I feel better. I really liked how it didn’t feel like a factory. The office is very cute with beautiful posters along the walls, the diffuser made the room smell like citrus, and the calming music made me relax. I have been coming across the country to see Dr. Lee for more than 20 years, and since I have started seeing her I went from looking like I was 65 to looking like I was 25!! I started off with terrible Rosacea and sun damage and she began with Laserlite treatments which were FAR more effective at eliminating redness than any other laser treatment I had had from any other dermatologist!! The Laserlite is Dr. Lee’s proprietary laser cocktail, and her specialized combination of lasers has a synergistic effect that is exponentially effective on redness and skin damage! Over the years she has used a multitude of lasers on me and has done miraculous wonders to my skin texture, tightness and complexion! Dr. Lee is a pioneer in her field and has several dozen lasers, many of which she has helped to develop. She knows what combination of treatments will work best for each person, and since she has all of the latest lasers at her disposal, she is able to offer unparalleled treatments/results to all of her patients, whatever their skincare needs are! Dr. Lee takes as much time as she needs to get the job done correctly, and always goes above and beyond when it comes to taking care of her patients whether it be for a laser treatment or for aftercare. Everything went good . The staff is extra nice you know it's no fun to go to the doctors but you have to go . They were very patient Lola and with us the doctor dr Hamilton is a very nice and bright young person . They stay on top of things via text and let you know what's going on
Great customer service and referrals. They are backed up 16 weeks, but they were so nice and accommodating with referrals, suggestions, and information. I hope I can get my pup in one day. I want to apologize for my misinformation. The rehabilitation program for this vet is backed up by 16 weeks, not the hospital itself.
We have nothing but praise for the staff and the care here. We started going here for physical therapy for a 13 year old dog at Canine Rehabilitation Center. He had arthritis and was also receiving treatment for cancer at SAGE. The physical therapy work they with him made a huge difference. The cancer ended up taking him, but he had very happy, energetic and enjoyable live up until the end.
We now use Muller as our primary vet for two dogs. The vet we were using previously was bought by Thrive and the quality/availability of care became unreliable. The prices are reasonable and the staff are great.
We have been bringing our pooch here for his annual exams and vaccines since we adopted him 5 years ago. They are very responsive and friendly. We have had to have some more intensive treatment too. He had a cyst that they drained and did a biopsy on. It was benign but we decided to have it removed because it kept filling up. The procedure went smoothly, they called as soon as he was awake and able to be picked up, they called us to check in on him that night and the next day. We are so happy with the treatment he receives at this veterinary hospital that come all the way from Oakland for them.
My elderly pup was a new patient and I am very grateful to have come here for my dog because everyone I came across who worked here was so compassionate and caring. The environment and establishment is welcoming and felt at ease here. I really do recommend having your pet come here because I trust that you and your pet will be taken care of!
I have a 115 pound older male Bernese Mountain Dog who can be difficult when being groomed. He is also a little nervous in new situations. I was a little nervous myself about dropping him off, but Vivian and her staff made me & my dog feel comfortable and welcome. When I came back to pick up my dog, he didn't see me at first thus I was able to watch him walking around with the other dogs (it's open). He looked very relaxed and happy. AND best of all, he is clean and well groomed. I am very happy with Posh Pup and we will be going again. I have already recommended them to a friend. Thank you!

Love everything about this yoga studio! The lobby/shop is so inviting and the merch is all gorgeous (books, crystals, pillows, clothes, jewelry, tarot cards, beautiful handmade gift cards). The teachers are excellent and care about form and watch the students to help them improve.
Great teachers and nice space. Been going here for years and enjoy it very much. Parking can be difficult but free parking is located down the block.
I have taken Pilates for several years but this was my first time at this studio. I took a private with Rebecca who is a first class teacher. She understands body mechanics extremely well. I have signed to take weekly classes from her I highly recommend her!

I had the most amazing Reiki light session with Tamara! She guided me through a deep cord-cutting and energetic cleanse that truly helped me release what no longer served me. Her calming presence and intuitive guidance made me feel completely safe and supported throughout the experience.
Tamara also introduced me to the power of forgiveness and helped me shift some emotional blocks I didn't even realize I was carrying. To top it off, her tarot card reading was spot-on and gave me so much clarity.

I had a mountain bike accident years ago, and believed chiropractic care was the best course for my physical health despite still suffering from regular pain. Thankfully, my chiropractor referred me to Clayton Francis for an evaluation to see if Clayton could help me. I've been seeing Clayton now for almost three years and feel better than I have in many years. He explained to me why I still had the pain from the bike accident, and gave me exercises to help develop the surrounding muscles. Clayton explained to me why my back hurt (I was wearing bad shoes), he showed me how to take care of my feet so exercise would be more beneficial, and he's taught me many more things that are invaluable. When I first saw Clayton 3 years ago, I was severely stressed (loss of job, death of a parent after years of caregiving) and in a great deal of pain just about everywhere. At that point, I needed to see him weekly or every other week to get stabilized. Now, I only see him once a month. Leah is an amazing massage therapist. She absolutely is the best massage therapist I've ever had. Her space is clean and has nice ambiance. She is responsive to instruction and aware of concerns or injuries. She is knowledgeable about her craft and has varied skills. She knows the proper technique for manipulating the covers to ensure you feel comfortable. She is such a lovely woman and I always feel more relaxed in body and mind after visiting her.

Although I am a Kaiser patient, they do not have enough pelvic floor physical therapists, so when I asked for physical therapy to help with stress incontinence (no, Kegels weren't the solution for me), they referred me to PHRC. I was able to get in for my first appointment quickly thanks to the friendly office staff. Melinda Fontaine, PT, DPT, was my assigned therapist and I cannot say enough how thankful I am for that. She is warm and open and so very knowledgeable in her specialty. I felt immediately at ease and was able to share with her my symptoms and what I hoped to achieve with therapy. She listened intently and without judgement, asked questions, performed a physical exam, and then set up a treatment plan for me. After demonstrating each exercise, she would then watch me perform them until she was confident I knew how to do them correctly. At each appointment after, she again would ask questions and make adjustments as necessary. I noticed improvement in my symptoms by my second appointment! I have been very vocal in telling my friends, family, colleagues - anyone who I think may benefit - how wonderful Melinda is and about the good and necessary work that is being done at PHRC. And now I'm telling you.

I have been seeing Dr. Pan weekly for almost 2 months for acupuncture and TCM. Dr. Pan and her assistant are very friendly, experienced, knowledgeable and very good at acupuncture and TCM. She takes her time to learn the patient health issues and designs a custom treatment with acupuncture and Chinse herbs. I am amazed how well she can pinpoint the health problem by reading my pulse. She has an excellent hand with needles and the treatment is almost painless. If you need acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine treatment, you should give Dr. Pan a call. You will be glad you did.
