Sahar is an excellent nutritionist. I worked with her a few years ago, and then reconnected with her either last year or a few years ago. She advised on various health supplements to lower my liver enzyme levels. They have been working amazingly. Sahar is friendly, informative, and helpful. She is easy to contact whether it is through email or phone. If I cannot connect with her right then there, she'll contact me as soon as she can (the same day or next one). If only her company worked with Alta Bates Medical Group. If they did, I would definitely go back to her for health and wellness advice.
I was referred to this office as part of my John Muir Health plan as I prepared for my upcoming Gastric Bypass Sleeve Surgery. I am so glad that I was referred here, especially after yesterday's appointment. It has now been 4 weeks since my surgery and I have not stopped vomiting. At least once a day. Headaches and nausea also have been problems in my recovery. No answers from my surgeon or doctor as my vitals continue to be good. In fact, excellent. Sahar spent extra time with me. First to tell me how she could see the difference in my health as I have lost 28 pounds since under her mentorship and diet plan. She listened to my concerns and symptoms. Took my vitals and weight. Checked my hydration and fat and began immediately making recommendations and fine tuning my nutritional and exercise plan. I lack energy since the surgery. Though I am not much of a sitter as I have too much to do in a day with housework, my dog, shopping, errands and such, I do find myself to be very drowsy since the surgery. The vomiting can be so bad that it tires me out and I crash. No workout on those days. Sahar made excellent recommendations such as opening my capsule vitamins and putting them in my morning smoothie so that I do not have to take so many pills all at once which upsets my stomach now. She gave me new guidelines for my servings of food. Calorie intake including how much protein and sugar I should allow myself each day. No less on the protein. More is ok. Creative ways on how to get water in me for those days that I am just so full, even water upsets my stomach. She recommended water with my Health Wise drinks as a way to stay hydrated. Making popsicles with them or ice cubes. Great idea. Sent me a link to purchase my pills with electrolytes, licorice and aloe vera to help settle the acidity that I am experiencing. Thank you Sahar for another great meeting yesterday. Your tips and tricks are appreciated and I am actually feeling a bit better today than I was yesterday. Look forward to seeing you again in six months and would recommend her to any of my friends or peers who are experiencing the same problems as I have been. 5 star. Diamond.
