4425 Treat Blvd, Concord“My AC went out a few months ago during the heat wave. The original company that installed the AC 3 years ago didn't want to take responsibility of fixing it. After a couple of months of trying to find someone to fix our AC, a friend recommended MechPros. I emailed MechPros of what has happened to the AC, Kelly was fast to respond. She got Paul to call me and I gave him details of why the AC stopped running. We texted to try to get the unit fixed. They ordered the part, squeezed us into their very busy schedule and their technicians came and got our AC up and running.
That's a great company!!
I would recommend MechPros to anyone that needs their AC repaired.
Thank you MechPros Team!!! ?“

280 Crestview Ave, Martinez“Hammer's Heating and Air Conditioning, was a great experience from beginning to end! I contracted Hammer's to install a new hvac system in my home. The quality of the hvac components provided, coupled with Mike's installation and professionalism cannot be beat, all at a great price point. Everything went extremely well, even when he encountered those problems that inevitably come up with an aging home, Mike was able to handle them with ease. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. If you need help with an hvac issue, Hammer's hvac is the company to call. 10++ I could not be more satisfied! Thanks Mike!

Every one of them was patient caring and honest. Juan and Emilio were very thorough in the inspection and cleaning of our AC and furnace. Both of which are running like new. This is very impressive given that our furnace is over 30 years old.
The entire staff was very patient with us and made sure I clearly understood my options and provided the most cost effective solutions.
Thank you so much Smart Heating and Air Conditioning for your excellent service.“

1244 60th Ave, Oakland“I discovered Ambient Experts using a Google search for Bryant HVAC dealers in my neighborhood. Adam recommended pulling an 8-wire thermostat cable to install a true hybrid gas-electric heating system. He finds power extenders to be unreliable and unnecessary in my case. The next morning, he came out with his crew and rewired my Carrier heat pump, Bryant furnace, and EcoBee thermostat. They did a standard dual-fuel system wiring in about 2 hours. It conforms to industry standards, and the price was very reasonable. I am happy, and believe that my system will be much more reliable in the future. I would use them for warranty service any time. I wish I had known about them when I got bids for the job.“

2912 Park Ct, Martinez“I didn't end up using their service, but feel compelled to give them a top review. I wanted to have my pool removed and have someone to relocate my HVAC compressor to clear the way for the project. Got referral from the pool removal service I chose, mentioned by some of their happy clients who used Saroni. Marlon picked up my call. Knowing that I live outside their service area, he was very apologetic about it, which made me feel that he felt bad he could not help me. He then went ahead to give a good 5 minutes of tips I should be aware of, when I look for the right service, from the weather of days I plan for the service to what kind of contractors I should be looking for for HVAC relocation. Then at the end, Marlon apologized again, and saying they can't ask their service guys to go too far out of their regular area. He left with, if I have any additional questions I could always call back and ask them. And this was just a cold call for a quote from me. All this makes it hard for me to believe that they don't care to make their customers taken care of. Thans Marlon. You are awesome.“
“TLDR; If you're looking to electrify and/or increase your home's overall energy efficiency, hire BPP - you won't regret it. How it started: We bought our 1951 home in the summer of 2020. As the weather cooled, we realized we'd bought a cold and drafty house. You could turn the thermostat up as much as you wanted, but it didn't make a difference. When the furnace quit on us in early 2022, we decided to just ride it out wrapped in blankets while we conducted a thorough search for the best contractor to help electrify our home. We started with an energy audit from the excellent Energineers, who informed us that the walls of our home had "no insulation." We now had a clear plan of action from a company that had no stake in what we decided to do, including blowing in insulation, installing a heat-pump powered HVAC system, asbestos remediation, and electrifying our ancient, gas-powered water heater. BPP was on a list of contractors recommended by Energineers, and we are so glad we went with them. Energy efficiency is science, and we are not scientists:As new, first-time homeowners we came into this project with no understanding of the basics of HVAC and insulation, let alone more advanced topics like heat pump technology. The owner, Curtis, was beyond patient with our many questions, meticulously explaining our options. While we went with a state-of-the-art heat pump system, he never pushed us to spend more on a higher-end solution, and in fact encouraged us to consider more budget-friendly options as well. When you're electrifying your home by switching to a heat-pump powered HVAC system and/or water heater, it pays to have someone who understands electricity leading your project. Curtis was able to design a comprehensive upgrade to our electrical system that would support our new equipment. His background in electrical gave us confidence that his solution would work and was right-sized for the project. We received multiple opinions about the best way to heat our home, which had multiple challenges including being built into a hill, a partially underground lower level with concrete walls and a slab floor, and a pre-existing extension on the back of the house with questionable ductwork. Curtis recommended installing a single exterior condenser, a ducted mini-split to heat the upstairs (replacing the asbestos-wrapped ducts with new, modern, energy efficient ductwork), and two mini-split heads on our lower level. I was honestly skeptical that our entire downstairs area could be uniformly heated with two mini-split heads, but the system he designed, in addition to being priced very fairly, works like a charm. How it's going: A company can be great to work with, but when you have someone working on your home, what matters most of all, of course, is results. And BPP delivered results, far above our expectations. Energineers had promised us that if we followed their recommendations, our cold, drafty house could become warm and cozy. Deep down, we didn't really believe them. But it was true! The insulation work alone increased the temperature inside our house by nearly 10 degrees. We love having the 3 different heating zones enabled by Curtis' system, so we don't need to heat areas of the house we aren't using. And our entire house is now as warm as we want it to be. As a bonus, the heat pumps include A/C for the occasional heat wave. Rebates, Permits, PG&E, oh my:Projects like this can mean a lot of paperwork. Curtis and the office manager Kathy made the entire process painless. They took care of everything for us, helping us to get the maximum possible rebates, which cut the cost of our project by about 25%. In addition, they handled the permitting process with the City of El Cerrito, and also navigated the application and approval process with PG&E for the electrical panel upgrade. What it was like to work with BPP:Everyone at BPP was a true pleasure to work with, from Curtis and Kathy to the crew who worked on our home. Adam, Austyn, Javier, Juan and Lando w“
“My son owns Dobson Construction Inc. in Martinez. I always call him for recommendations when I need service work at my home. For HVAC he said to call Compare Heating and Air. My furnace quit working and the weather was quite cold. I called Compare at 7:15 AM. Jayne dispatched Brandon who was at my home by 9am. He quickly found the problem, an ignitor. He went back to the shop to retrieve the item and had it installed and running before noon. This is the 2nd time I have used their services. I appreciate they diagnose and repair rather than wanting to upsell to a new unit. I will always use Compare for any HVAC needs in the future.“

696 San Ramon Valley Blvd, Danville“There is no one better than Don. Simply put, he's the only one in the business I trust. He's not going to B.S. you into spending money on something you don't need. I had two different AC companies this past summer tell me I needed a new furnace and AC system because I had leak in my system. Cost would be over $20K. Don came over and found a small loose gasket which was leaking gas, which somehow the other two companies missed after being here four times , and possibly even intentionally caused (I was also charged over $1K to refill the puron gas multiple times). Don had a gas detector that didn't pick up any other leak. Net net, Don saved me at least $20K which I'll be forever grateful for!!“

“Elliott Air Systems did a phenomenal job with the installation of a new Carrier heat pump system in our home. They carefully removed the 80 year old gas furnace from the crawl space and patched all holes. They installed the air handler in the attic and carefully cut in all new vents in the ceiling. Duct runs in the tight attic space are installed with the highest level of care and craftsmanship. They were extremely diligent about managing dust and mess; the only sign that they had been in the house were the new vents in the ceiling. As an architect, I have the opportunity to work with a lot of different contractors. Based on the great experience I had working with them in my home, I highly recommend Elliot Air Systems to all of my clients. Great value, phenomenal work; EAS earned my highest recommendation.“

“Been using Matt to do work for us for nearly 20years. Have openly recommended him to friends and family. This guy is as honest as the day is long, will give you an up front answer about your work, and estimates he sticks to He's done numerous repairs, replaced two water heaters, a dishwasher, toilets, shower mixer valves. He doesn't upsell, but makes recommendations for products that will last. He also will provide parts, or you can purchase your own, and he takes care of disposals (for a dump fee).“

363 Diablo Rd, Danville“I recently had the pleasure of using the services of AC Repair Danville, and it was an exceptional experience. The technician who showed up was Patrick, who was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly efficient. From the moment Patrick arrived, he was courteous and respectful, making sure that I understood every step of the process. His expertise was evident in how he quickly identified and resolved the issue with my air conditioning unit. Patrick didn't just fix the problem; he also explained the cause of the issue and provided practical preventative measures to avoid future problems.Pat not only possessed excellent technical skills but also had an outstanding customer service approach. He was friendly, patient, and meticulous, which made the whole process smooth and trouble-free. Patrick stood out when good customer service was becoming less common.AC Repair Danville's efficiency, competitive pricing, and quality work have made me a loyal customer. But what sets them apart is their staff, especially Patrick. His dedication, professionalism, and commitment to customer satisfaction were genuinely commendable.I strongly recommend this company if you are in Danville and require air conditioning or heating services. Furthermore, if you are fortunate enough to have Patrick as your technician, you can rest assured that you are in capable and caring hands. In my opinion, five stars are inadequate to rate my experience with Patrick, who has set a new standard for HVAC services in Danville.“

100 Garden Creek Pl, Danville“What great service all around. Found out my air conditioner stopped working and it was 10pm on a Saturday night. They were able to come on a Sunday at 2pm. Diagnosed and repaired in 70 minutes. David was very nice and poor guy had to work in the attic for about 40 minutes. It was 97 outside, so much hotter in the attic. My transformer and fuse to the furnace (which is connected to the AC connections outside). House is only 6 years, so I was praying for a 'repair' bill and not a 'replace' bill. Very thankful it was a repair. I will recommend on my Facebook Tracy Rants and Rave page too. Thanks again David. Feels so nice and cool now and both of the cats are much happier too.“
