I met with Shay for a home consultation recently and was given a comprehensive bid to renovate two bathrooms, a kitchen, and dining room fireplace. He was knowledgeable, detailed and even pointed out potential water damage from an unrelated roof inspection that my husband and I ended up having to handle right away. I interviewed two other contractors and HQR's bid was pretty comparable with consideration of adding the cost of sourced materials. I reached out to HQR cold a few months back, considering a significant remodel with a rough idea of what we wanted to do. I chose three contractors for a first consultation.
Ron at HQR was the best by far. Very consultative and clear about what was possible, his recommendations (not just ideas that could jack up the price) and the process. During the consult, we discussed some prior kitchen remodel work that we had done by another contractor. We had a subfloor issue that was causing bouncing in the floor under kitchen island that the prior contract refused to fix.
