“Just a quick headsup that I did not go with Moore Mechanical for my project.Nevertheless, the proposal phase is also very important so this review is just a recap of my experience working with Kevin from Moore Mechanical, which long story short was a rewarding experience.A brief recap:My 25 year old ducted 10 SEER AC/furnace unit although still working seemed to use more and more power to cool and heat the home, so I wanted to look into installing a new HVAC unit.I contacted several companies to understand more about the systems and quotes they offered and 2 such companies were from the Diamond certified list, Moore mechanical being one of them.Kevin Bradley showed up with a friendly smile and great attitude. He was very thorough in examining my existing system outdoors and indoors in my attic as well. His proposal was similarly very thorough, but to me the price (parts plus labor) was a bit high for me for a system efficiency that I wanted. My point of comparison was another company that said they could install a similar system for significantly cheaper.I understand that oftentimes there is a price you pay for a quality install like the one from Moore Mechanical but as much as my heart wanted it my pocket and wallet liked the more friendly option especially since it used identical equipment.That said Kevin was very understanding of my budget plight. He promptly answered all my questions and addressed my concerns the best that he could.All in all, I was lucky to have met him and learned a lot from talking with him.I would definitely recommend Kevin to anyone interested in getting a new hvac system from Moore Mechanical.“

“Needed repair service for Sub Zero refrigerator in the East Bay. Had the best experience with Hi-5 Appliance Repair. Steve promptly returned my inquiry call. Appointment scheduled and follow-up reminders come by way of text and email. Also, received a call in advance of appointment to let me know that he was 15 minutes away. Steve diagnosed misalignment of freezer drawer that was causing ice to form. He exercised great finesse in “tweaking” and making fine adjustments. The drawer now slides smoothly and effortlessly. Gasket fits as intended. Freezer is now quiet. Steve is pleasant, knowledgeable, highly competent. He exercised great care and tidiness as he worked. Cost is reasonable. We understand that he works on all appliance brands. He’s definitely our new go-to for appliance repair. Very pleased!“

“Another amazing visit from Cory at Clayton Brothers. Yesterday my HVAC unit started making a buzzing sound that kept getting louder. I turned off the thermostat to try to trouble shoot the problem, but the buzzing persisted. This morning I called to schedule an appointment. Cory was on time, professional, diagnosed the problem in minutes. He went to his truck, but didn't have a replacement part with him. He called Nate, who was around the corner working on another customers system. Nate had the transformer I needed on his truck. Nate delivered the part 5 min later. Cory installed it and was done. “This one absolutely a great company. I haven't hired a better company in many years. While estimating, they crawled both my attics, and my crawl space, diagramed the areas, suggested solutions that no other company had even mentioned. I had a rat infestation under my house and in both my attics. After sealing all entry areas, and replacing ruined insulation, I had to replace all my ducting because the rats had chewed through it. This is the only company that suggested I use hard aluminum ducting instead of the cheaper and now commonly used wire mesh ducting which rats can penetrate in minutes. This was more expensive but solves the issue of keeping my ducts rat proof if the little devils ever find their way in again. This company was professional, extremely polite and totally competent. They corrected all my ducts and access and registers to proper size, added air conditioning, and took care of repairs in my top attic. They added dampers after the job was done to make the best even distribution of heat. I am now warm and happy and will continue to recommend this company to all my acquaintances.
