I'm renting a house where the landlord made it clear the property was being leased as-is, so any repairs would be my responsibility. Unfortunately, I discovered after moving in that the air conditioning didn't work. Living in North County Inland, that wasn't something I could ignore.
The first company I hired charged me $375, told me the system was fixed, and left. The first hot day proved otherwise. When I called them back, I was told I'd have to pay another diagnostic fee. After I asked for an itemized breakdown of the original work, they chose to refund my money instead.
I asked AI to help me find an affordable, highly rated local HVAC company, and Thompson Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning was recommended. Scheduling was easy, and they had me on the calendar within a few days.
Ricky arrived early, was friendly, professional, and took the time to listen to my concerns. I explained that I wanted an estimate before any work was done since I don't own the house. He quickly diagnosed the problem and patiently answered all of my questions about my 15-year-old system. What really impressed me was that he stood behind his diagnosis. He explained that if the recommended repairs didn't solve the problem, they could be removed and I wouldn't be charged for them. That gave me a lot of confidence to move forward.

Service was super. Omar was on site, focused, efficient, and communication superb! This is Mr. Rooter is the second repair for me. From the moment I called until Omar departed, customer service was exceptional! Work & ABS install was professional. Omar discussed each section of the repair directly with Mr prior to starting. Providing pictures before and after. ChatGPT evaluated pics & stated it was installed with proper products and connectors. And that price was very reasonable for work performed.
The plumber was very explicit about the procedure of installing the sump pump and had it done in just under three hours ensuring that everything was installed securely and checked. He was careful to check all connections twice before leaving, which took a little longer than he had planned, but was appreciated.
I met with the very nice sales associates and toured the two beautiful models. Beazer builds beautiful homes with great open spaces with modern amenities.

Store decor has a touch of rustic industrial. The space feels very spacious, nicely lit, real neat and clean which is rare for a typical barbershop. Comfy and plenty of waiting chairs. They also have a couch & coffee table, and light drinks! Parking is plentiful and a short walk. Ambiance 4.75/5.
Pricewise, they are on the mid-tier of Escondido. $25 per typical haircut when I get there & you pay the posted price.

I was referred to Felicia by a neighbor to correct the damage and unflattering color that resulted from a previous stylist. I've been getting highlights to my naturally dark brown hair off and on for 40 some odd years and have gone to many different people. Some were better than others, as you would imagine. I can say without reservation that Felicia has proven to be the best! She is a gifted colorist, an artist, who achieves exactly what I want without damaging my hair!!! Marci was able to fit us in on a Wednesday afternoon which was wonderful, the last kids hair cut place I tried has a 2 week out wait time. She was great with Chris, did the haircut exactly as requested. She even offered tips due to how his hair is parted so I had her do what she thought was best and he looked fantastic. My boy is shy but she was able to make him feel comfortable the entire time.

Came out looking great. tight smooth and sharp! price quoted was affordable and better than most. Also gave a fantastic shave! Excellent work. Military barbers arent as good as Johnathan is, and I served 4 yrs in the USMC. Great conversations and he did exactly the cut that I wanted. Fridays are student discounts aswell, $10. 10 out of 10, up and coming barber right here. He also works late, about 7pm. Hit him up with your favorite style. I got mine! =D
Haircuts run about $40, but you're not *just* there for a haircut. When you walk through the door, everyone who works there will make you feel like you're old friends from way back. The local, neighborhood barbershop vibe is definitely alive and well at Black Sheep, and the cuts are worth every penny.

Vivian is the only person who does my acyrlics so perfect and beautifully. I honestly do not trust anyone else but her! I've tried countless other places (before here) and nothing compares. She listens to my nail ideas and they come out so perfect. She does work in a studio by herself, and it's nice because it is better than going to a large nail salon where your ideas get lost. I feel like she is my friend and I am always happy with my nails.
This place is amazing! The products they use somehow last so much longer on my nails than any other nail salon Ive gone to. Cindy and Amy are my go-to girls here but all the staff is awesome honestly. Great customer service! Cayla is such a pro! I've had a fibroblast done at another facility a few years ago (Monique's in Poway). It was painful, no results, expensive, unorganized and the owner was rude. I was hesitant to try the procedure again. A friend recommended Cayla. Her technique with the fibroblast gave me amazing results. Everyone at my work is noticing the difference in my face, eyes and neck. Cayla uses top notch numbing cream, so the procedure was painless. Highly recommend if you need to tighten the skin in facial areas.

Great experience for my 5yo daughter. She's been asking for many months to get her ears pierced. I wanted needle piercing for her- (supposedly) less tissue trauma/better healing, not to mention aseptic technique any reputable piercing shop will adhere to. Converted laundry room into a scullery by adding extra dishwasher, garbage disposal and fridge. Added 2 extra dedicated 20 amp circuits to service DW and GD and extended another circuit by adding outlet to service a coffee bar. Also added two wall sconces. The electrical work was top notch and completed in one day left clean. I will recommend and use again.

At last...a real Technician who will solve the problem!
So my neighbor gives me a slightly used 10 year old Briggs&Stratton whole house 18KW natural gas generator as it was not compatible with his new house battery system. OK, great...only problem is it starts and quits. I start calling generator repair companies in San Diego county and no one is interested in coming out to look at it. I am not even asking a price cause it is worth it at most any price to get a free generator running. The companies including some big names either say they don't service that brand or all they do is change oil and battery for a fee. I actually went on EBAY trying to find manuals for it and found nothing. So the generator sits for over a month and I finally find and call Sun Ray Electric and their Technician answers the call from a job site. He asks a few questions about the model number and says he does not normally work on Briggs, but he thinks he has a manual on it. We set up an appointment and he arrives on time, even texting me ahead of time to let me know he is en route..wow! He arrives in a Sun Ray truck, dressed professionally, and is very pleasant, reassuring me that he likely can get to the bottom of the problem. He starts troubleshooting pulling out the old manual and a multi-meter (volt/ohm meter). He calls the factory several times and they are of little help. He finally resorts to old fashioned schematic wire tracing and within 20 minutes realizes that the people that removed the unit had not reconnected the voltage output sensing wires connected to the circuit breaker (pictured). He connects them after verifying schematics an voila, the unit starts and runs great..problem solved. He turned my dead generator from not worth much to really valuable in about 45 minutes. The price was fair and I can not say enough about Sun Ray. They are now my go to company for anything electrical. Bravo Sun Ray!

We hated this newer machine because it met all the guidelines from the Fed. Government. Couldn't adjust water level, couldn't adjust water temp, Cycles with double rinse were limited. And the damned lid locked making it almost impossible to conveniently add anything once the cycle was started. So I looked online and found Kemper Appliances on Enterprise in Escondido. I called and talked to Omar and told him I wanted an older (pre-2019) top of the line "used" Kenmore and he said they had one that had just come in. He quoted me $350 for the used machine with a 90 day warranty. I ran right over and met the other people in the shop and was impressed with their friendliness. The machine needed cleaning up... but had all the features we wanted. (None of the government mandated crap). They charge $150 for delivery and pick up and we signed up. Right on schedule Omar delivered the new machine and carefully removed our old one. The new one is fantastic. We have all of the old manual settings we missed and the machine is super quiet and does a great job. Recommend these people highly. Excellent service, fair pricing, and friendly. A super value in today's world

I cannot express how thankful I am to Eilers Electric. I have used them twice before.They came out last Thursday, because the GFCI in the garage had tripped, and would not reset . Since the GFCI was probably at least 30 years old, it was replaced with a new one at a fair price. It worked fine for about a day and then went out. So I messaged for another appointment and they were able to come out today. After courteously working for quite a long time trying to find out what the problem was, it was discovered that a jug of water was leaking over a power surge protector and causing the short. I highly recommend them and will contact them over and over for future projects.

Big love for my new bathroom cabinets from First Choice! ? They nailed the modern look I wanted, and the storage space is a game-changer. Every interaction with their team was a breeze – they’re the kind of folks you trust instantly.
We obtained proposals from two contractors, including San Diego Landcare Systems Inc., to upgrade our front and back yards, based on a plan we contracted from an independent landscape architect. Unfortunately, the final plan did not fit within our budget. We worked with Ron Parks to scale back the project, which was then limited to the hardscape elements, e.g. turf removal, paver installation, arbor construction, railroad tie slope pathway construction, boulder installation, and incidental electrical and drainage work. We are very pleased with the final results: the 5 stone paver pattern exceeded our expectations, affording an expansive look to our backyard; the railroad tie pathway had to be redesigned in the field to be practical and aesthetically pleasing; the additional drainage work was a smart call; the arbor built to support the lateral load of our cable shade structure is very sturdy and shows well; and the effort to place the boulders was well coordinated. The work was accomplished in a timely manner. All of the workers were courteous and skillful in their trades. The work area was cleaned up at the end of each work day. Ron and his crew members were responsive to our concerns and discussed with us the schedule and optional construction details. We are enjoying our new look and have proudly shared it with our neighbors, who have been impressed. We do recommend San Diego Landcare Systems Inc. to others.
We were looking for somebody to remodel our guest bath and laundry room. We were referred to Harvest Home Improvements by at least 4 individuals, who raved about the quality of their work and their professionalism. We reviewed a couple of their projects, and they were impressive in design and construction. We then contacted Pete Taylor the President of the company. He met with us. Within a few weeks he prepared a design and estimate of the cost and timing of the project. If you’re looking for the best pool builder in San Diego, stop scrolling and just call Marc at Sundancer Pools. We did a full backyard transformation... pool, spa, hardscaping, BBQ area, the whole nine yards and Marc absolutely crushed it from start to finish.
From day one, his design ideas were great, we made some tweaks on the fly and he had no issue handling our modifications with great input on what would and would not make sense. He took the vision we had in our heads and somehow made it look even better in real life. He had solutions for things we didn’t even know were problems yet, and every recommendation he made ended up being the smarter, cleaner, long-term play. You can tell he’s been doing this for a long time and actually cares about how your space will look and function years from now, not just on photo day.
His team was awesome too. Super friendly, super professional, and shockingly efficient. They showed up when they said they would, worked hard, cleaned up, and kept the project moving. In true unicorn fashion, they even finished on time... something you don’t hear often in the world of big home projects.
But here’s the real test: how people act after they’re paid in full. That’s where Marc really separates himself from the pack. We had a couple small things pop up after completion, and instead of dragging his feet or ignoring calls like so many contractors do, Marc fixed everything quickly with zero drama. That alone made me a permanent Sundancer fan.
I recommended him to family which is always a little nerve wracking because if things go sideways, it gets awkward at the holidays but Marc and his crew delivered another home run over there too. It’s rare to find a contractor who makes you look good for referring them.
If you want a backyard that looks like a resort, a pool builder who actually communicates, and a team that does what they say they’re going to do, Sundancer Pools is a 10/10. Can’t recommend Marc and his crew enough.

Palomar is my go to backflow tester. Recently my backflow looked like it had a slow leak, but I called Palomar and they sent a tech out the following day. The tech reran the rest and confirmed everything was working nominally, including explaining why it might occasionally drop when normalizing pressure. I expected to be charged for the checkup, but they said no worries! I'll definitely be using them for all of my backflow testing needs. Thank you.
We happened upon GHD by complete luck. When we were unimpressed with another company, we ventured by their showroom and just happened to be lucky enough to meet Mrs. Brown, who impressed us enough to set up an appt with George. Although the pricing we received from GHD was not less than the other company, the service model was much more desirable, and the owners extremely personable. George has his hand in every step of the process. In the end, we were not thrilled with the effort put forth by the individual overseeing our project (general contractor, maybe?), but that didn't matter all that much because George was so heavily involved. For every error the GC made, George had an immediate fix, and the crew was obviously extremely accountable to George multiple times per week; in the end, George was, at least for our project, much more of the GC. Had it not been for George's oversight, I am sure our experience would have been typical of that with the average GC, but with George's involvement, GHD is fantastic. I would easily work with GHD again, just requesting a different GC. I will add, mid project, we ended up with a flooded house (completed unrelated) and George immediately shifted to add that repair to our project list so that we did not have to juggle a repair company with the work already being done. This made what was a nightmare, well, slightly less of a nightmare. ;) I am extremely grateful he was willing to take on that unexpected event also as it made my life a million times easier. I/we have utmost respect for George, his eye for detail, his involvement, and his resolution of any concerns ASAP. Please do not hesitate to use this company!Services: Bathroom remodeling

Our small yard needed intensive weeding after the long season of rain; we could barely step outside with how overgrown it was. Troy was great! After making calls to three companies, one never called back, another one was booking out 4 months, and Troy answered right away and came out that same day to give me a bid. His prices were fair, and he offered us a discount for booking right away since he was already going to be in our area the following week. We were shocked to see how quickly he and his guys took down our 20-ft carrotwood and 30-foot palm! He also actually listened when we said we wanted a very minimal lacing of another tree (as opposed to a previous company that took out a lot more than we wanted), and the crew cleaned everything up well when they were done. Very satisfied, highly recommend!

I was 21, just finished college and was experiencing a lot of mid back pain that was getting worse- probably 5 in pain and consistent throughout the day. i've been going to Chiropractor's for many years, and this is the best by far! I had pretty much given up on finding a solution to my back and shoulder issues. I’m so grateful for the care Keegan has received at Tsavo’s. We came in thinking his limp was caused by torn ligaments in his back knees, but the team quickly discovered the real issue was his spine. They adjusted the process and let her rest in between steps instead of rushing everything. Her fur looked fluffy and evenly trimmed afterward, especially around the legs where other groomers tend to leave awkward patches. I appreciated getting a quick update text during the appointment too. It made the whole experience feel much more personal and reassuring.
I can't say enough good things about Liz. She has been an amazing groomer for our dogs and you will be impressed with her professionalism and the way she interacts with your pets. When we first met her we had a labradoodle and an older black lab. She was so great with both dogs, and they loved being able to go into her van together. She is meticulous in her attention to detail, spend a lot of time bathing and grooming them and the dogs always look amazing. When our black lab got older and less mobile, she was very gentle and it was really the only way we were able to have her bathed and groomed towards the end.
When we lost our lab, we got another labradoodle and Liz has been grooming her as well. It is so convenient to have a groomer that will come to you and treat the dogs with so much TLC.
You cannot go wrong hiring Liz to groom your furry family members.
They trimmed a broken nail on my corgi on a same day notice just to help with his pain levels. I appreciate their help ☺
Mandy has set the standard and is the only person I will get massages from anymore. She has created an amazing space with beautiful energy. She has such a calm and inviting spirit, never have I ever been uncomfortable in her presence. I will recommend her over and over!!

Not only does she leave you feeling like soft marshmallow, she also provides the closest thing to a mother’s touch. Gentle massage or deep tissue with lovely hot stones. Lovely person inside and out, I wish I could go once a month!!
Moise was incredible! One of the best massages I’ve had. He was professional, attentive, and made me feel completely relaxed throughout the session. He took the time to focus on the areas that needed the most attention, and I left feeling refreshed and pain-free. I will definitely be back and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great massage experience.

I’ve been to a lot of Asian massage places and this one is truly a Chinese cultural experience… and here’s what I mean by that:

Ok so first of all their goal is to just get you in & out of there as soon as possible. Their pure goal is just to take your money.
I got there and felt so rushed by the front desk lady. Incredibly efficient. But not relaxing.
So if you’re looking for a gentle, nervous system regulating, relaxing place… this is NOT it. If you’re looking for someone to work on you like they’re tenderizing chicken… this place IS IT! 😂
I’m giving 4 stars because it actually did help with the shoulder pain i was having… and the massage therapist listened to my request and really put her elbow grease in there.
She was definitely on a mission.
She was just rough. Felt more like a car wash than a massage. But she was determined to get the knot out!

I find that with a lot of Chinese massage therapists in general, they’re not really tuning into your body… they’re just focused on following the motions and getting the job done.
She was not concerned with my comfort at all. In fact as she was “tenderizing” me, she would just carelessly place the massage oil bottle between my legs in a rough manner.. and then when we moved onto cupping she straight up just put the freakin box on my legs!
I asked her to get it off me & put the box on the massage table right next to us…
I mean, what??? 😂 why would u even do that!?
I’m giving it 4 stars cuz again, it wasn’t a bad massage & I don’t believe they mean any harm. In fact they’re incredibly authentic and I find that funny & entertaining.
But just don’t expect American manners or anything remotely close to a relaxing spa experience.
If you’re looking to be tenderized & slightly amused, this is your place!

came in here after a failed trip to urgent care for shoulder pain. it was my first time ever doing acupuncture and cupping. there was immediate relief after my session and i was shown some stretches/exercises to continue on my own. already scheduled a follow up appointment. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area
Pain relief 10/10. I suffer from chronic pain and after visiting Sisi Chen here twice a week my pain is much more manageable! I went from pain level 8 to 2! Sisi is gentle, attentive, & knows what she’s doing; I highly recommend visiting her office. She does acupuncture, cupping, and massage!

This is a great school ! If you’re interested in getting your Class A, B, + endorsements, etc. this is a great school to get you on the way to your new career path. They will teach you everything from the online courses, they offer books that you can keep, inside and outside inspections, skills that are required for you to know how to operate the commercial vehicle you wish to drive, how to operate the commercial vehicle on the road, and much more ! I came to this school with no prior experience from any other school and I passed ! Im glad that I chose this school to get my Class A CDL ! Thank you America Truck Driving School !

My instructor Andrew C was very patient and understanding throughout my lessons. He explained everything clearly, made me feel comfortable, and really helped boost my confidence behind the wheel. Thanks to his guidance, I passed my driving test on the first try! Highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive.
