I went for the first time today and they have such a welcoming vibe. I had to pick up last minute bouquet of flowers and she didn't have to many made up because i came at the end of day, but she was willing to make one up for me. While she was making it we chatted a little bit and she is so sweet and you can really tell she loves what she does. The bouquet she made was so full and beautiful and was right in my budget. I was traveling from Louisiana to California when my hand tied extensions broke. I was unsure what to do in the week that I would be staying here, so I started frantically trying to contact salons in the area. The owner graciously took the time to respond to my messages and find one of her girls available to help me. Madison texted me to set up an appointment within the hour and left her house to return to the salon, after hours, to fix my hair. She was incredibly sweet, and worked quickly and efficiently to completely re-do my entire row of extensions. It's not often that you can find such a caring and genuine business! I'm so grateful for their help!

I have taken my son (starting at 3.5 years old, now 5) to Roy for haircuts. Roy is professional, so friendly, and is skilled at what he does. He has been great with my kiddo, even when haircuts were difficult in the beginning. Everyone there is always so friendly and welcoming. Every time we have went, the results were amazing. It’s the only place I take my son. Go see these guys, they’re fantastic.

Guerro has been doing my hair and my family’s hair for years. Cutting. Coloring. Perms. He is a true professional and a great family man.
I chose this nail salon after seeing the recent reviews for others in the area had negative experiences. This salon is simple and not too fancy. I didn't have to wait for a walk in. Many nail polish colors and options. They don't accept apple pay. My pedicure was shorter than how it normally is at other salons but it still looks nice. I probably had to ask for an upgrade to have them scrub my feet for longer than 10 seconds. I'd probably visit them again when in this area since it wasn't a bad experience.

I never pamper myself with pedicures, but it was my birthday and my feet were in need of love. We booked an appointment in advance and I highly recommend doing that because it gets busy! Everyone who works there is WONDERFUL. Extremely nice and very friendly! They even gave us cold water bottles as we waited. We all got the deluxe pedicure and it was fantastic. The massage chairs, the citrus slices, the calf and feet massage, all of it - pure joy. Andy is great - I loved talking with him, it was like he was part of our group! Even my husband went and he said "my feet have returned back to when I was first born". Next time I'm in town I'm coming back! Thanks for the pampering!
I was hesitant trying a new nail salon after a previous bad experience. I was also nervous because I chew my nails and worried about judgment. Coco was nice and made me feel normal. She has a wonderful attention to detail and checks in at each step to make sure I liked my nails! She was very gentle! Getting acrylics can hurt, but she did her best to make me comfortable. She even worked with me to cover up my natural nail beds when I wanted French tips! I will definitely come back and recommend her to friends.
I’ve been visiting this salon for the past six months. They do wonderful work and are updating their salon with new equipment every time I visit. Julia is the first person who recommended gel fill for my thin nail bed. I left with a big smile on my face that first time and every time since. Julia is fond of saying “every set of nails tells a story”. Today mine say that I’m visiting Alaska on a cruise so I chose glacier blue and silver; but I’m keeping my nails short for practicality and work. Macy is also wonderful! She has done two of my pedicures and is very exacting with her work. The prices are so reasonable and the service is friendly. The salon is close to my office so it is very convenient. Highly recommend this hidden gem.
I have been getting dip for years I live out of state and didn’t have time to go before I came to Bakersfield. I had taken the dip off about a week ago because too many broke over the holidays. I had a dip manicure with tips tonight by Vincent and I am so happy with my outcome!
Vincent is very nice and talented. I like natural looking nails and he definitely delivered exactly what I was looking for! I also am very careful where I go and make sure they are clean because I am fearful of infection. Ok im a plus sized lady, i love that these ladies don’t give me the typical judgemental glares of disgust ive recieved in other more nasty, busy, unsanitary, places. There are two ladies always since i have been coming here. 2018, Lynna, has always greeted me with a warm welcoming tone. Her buddy Diem knows her stuff careful to do the pedicures, knows her craft, has delicately taken care of the beggining ingrown nails that i have try to grow. She always opens a new package of instruments to clip, and use on each customer service! That is a MUST for me! In other busy places! They don’t! And get offended when you speak up! & request a sanitized set of tools! Im NOT with that! Drives me furious! Why would the customer have to ask? They also use new scrubs to do ones feet! Very very good as who wants other ppls dead foot skin on theirs? Im so happy to find them still open inspite of what i think was a break in! Love love love Lynnas nails! I came here to get my hair cut and dyed a few months ago and my experience was great! My haircut was done by Natalie, who was very sweet and listened to all my requests/concerns. When I first walked into the Goddess building.. I was immediately enchanted! The owners, Sasha and Josh have such a cool vibe going on. White walls with hot pink electric light ambiance! MyLee was exceptional!!! I have had pedicures done many many times in the past. I visited magic nail and spa yesterday, having been there before and thought they did a great job; this time Miley did my pedicure. I did a lot if trial make up and found Allie, and i knew the search was over! Allie and her team did an amazing job. I had my wedding and her team took care of me, my bridal party and my family. I got my very first tattoo here yesterday. I was very nervous, a little dramatic, and had a general idea of what I wanted but needed a lot of artistic help with my design as well as placement and size. Tom was incredibly patient and reassuring throughout the whole process. He created an absolutely beautiful design, easily took feedback and worked with me to make sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. I could not be happier with the my new tattoo. Everyone in the shop was very friendly and made my feel comfortable and at ease. I strongly recommend this shop to anyone interested in getting a tattoo.
I have been wanting to get the forward double helix piercings for awhile but the tattoo shop I go to doesn't have a piercer so I was on a mission to find one. Then as I was driving down Rosedale Hwy, I happened to look and there it was...Society 9 Tattoo Shop. Once I entered I was immediately greeted and asked how I could be helped. I let them know what I was looking for and was told that Sarena would speak to me shortly and I was offered water. Sarena was in the middle of doing lip injections so she asked me to come back in about an hour. When I came back Sarena helped me with my piercings. She was super sweet and knowledgeable and helped me figure out which earrings I wanted. She gave me after care instructions and let me know that she is always available if I had any questions. I will definitely be going back to Sarena for my next piercing!

We needed our bathroom sink drain cleared and the drain pipe connecting to the sink was broken and needed to be reconnected. They came out quickly and addressed the problem right away. He had to come back the next day to finish up only because he needed to get a custom part. We did not get charged extra for the extra visit and he finished quickly and professionally. This is going to be our go to for plumbing services from now on. Great company. I wish we would've discovered them sooner! Very reasonable pricing!

Had a new 20A plug & circuit breaker installed for some medical equipment, that had to be on it's own dedicated circuit, in our residence. I can't say enough about Tony & Austin from Pavletich. They ran the wire under the house and to the breaker panel. They took approximately 3 hours to complete all of the work. They also made sure to clean up any and all debris from both inside and outside. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pavletich Electric!!!!

Our experience with Towers Flooring was excellent from day one. We purchased a house far from turnkey. We had Towers Flooring install vinyl floors, full remodel two restrooms, refresh the kitchen, and interior paint on the entire house. Klint and his staff were always timely. I can't believe how easy it was to find what we were looking for to renovate bathroom. They had everything we needed and at fantastic prices. They definitely had a large project ahead of them since not only did they have to adhere to county standards, but they also had to fix what a previous contractor had started. It is a lot more difficult to fix someone elses mistakes than to start fresh. They were not afraid to take the challenge and put forth their best effort the whole time. I appreciated the detailed estimates and the communication throughout the project. Not only are they professional, but they would take their time in explaining key details of the project and gave me building maintance tips. They walked me through the process and provided me support during intimidating building inspections. I recommend them for any project! They gave me peace of mind and ease that the project was done correctly.

When we decided to remodel our kitchen we randomly drove around looking for kitchen shops. We found SKB open late on a Tuesday afternoon, and Rick welcomed us into the showroom and started chatting. He scheduled us a measure appointment at our house, and it all snowballed from there! He helped us design our kitchen, shopped for each of the design elements, and coordinated all the work through his highly skilled contractors, Dave and Henry. We never felt pressured into making any decisions, but rather Rick and his team are so knowledgeable in what they do we felt confident in their suggestions. I truly feel that I ended up with a kitchen that even exceeded what I had set out to achieve, so much so that when I watch TV shows or look on Zillow at other homes, there's no homes (even at higher price points than mine!) that have a kitchen that i like nearly as much as my own :). Since renovating our kitchen, which in fact was a complete gut and overhaul of our previous kitchen, i have been cooking and baking so much more than before, thanks to newer, quality appliances and the openness of the kitchen. My baked goods are in such high demand at work, and my coworkers want to have our staff meetings at my house just to take advantage of the kitchen and the open flow of the kitchen/living room/dining room. Definitely one of the things that every person comments on is the backsplash (pictured) that Rick helped us pick, as well as the spaciousness and usefulness of the kitchen island and the "Fanciness" of the pantry door. Once the project got started, it actually went so quickly that it finished a few weeks ahead of schedule, which is always a welcome occurrence. I definitely would use SKB again, especially if my husband would let me redo our guest bathroom :)

Best pest control in Bakersfield! Months ago I noticed roaches in my bathrooms and quickly called Killian Pest control. They were able to identify the type of roach and send a technician out ASAP to resolve the problem. It’s been months now from the initial spray and we haven’t seen a roach since. Our tech, Danny was so kind and polite! He came out again this week to spray and I was so caught off guard when he asked how our family was doing! When he arrived, he immediately introduced himself, shook my hand, and asked if there were any issues that need to be addressed. There are many options in our area for Pest Control setvices, but as long as there are technicians like my previous one, Doug and now my new one, Donovan, I will gladly continue to support San Joaquin Pest Control and refer them to family and friends.

I have a large yard and it was giving me anxiety to start a project of my size. Monji wasn't the first company I called. Out of about 5 companies, Monji was the only one that would return my calls. He couldn't get to my yard for a few months, but he did help with an immediate need, which I thought was already being taken care of by another landscaper.
Monji"s design incorporated my already existing pool and gazebo, which I really appreciated. He didn't change anything, but he did take out a bit of cement curbing, but that was all. I struggled with the amount of grass he wanted to take out and the size of planters he wanted to put in, but Monji's garden's are well known for their beauty and I had to trust the process. I don't love every plant in my garden, but every plant has a purpose to add texture or color, and that I do love!
Monji's crew's are workers. Jorge is like this Stealth Ninja, disappearing and reappearing to check on crews, watering stations, and plants, even months later. If they could fix a pre- existing issue, they did. Unless they had to wait on a sub contractor, they were out here everyday, until the job was done.
Monji has worked on projects at my house for the last 2 years. Dan knew what I wanted better than I did. I enjoy my garden everyday. If I have any regrets, it's that I didn't do this sooner!

We met personnel from Rock Bottom Pools at the latest Bakersfield Home and Garden Show. Although I never thought we could afford a pool, I was impressed by Rock Bottom's personnel and their willingness to discuss ways to install a pool in an economic way, so we proceeded to get a bid from them. Their detailed estimate and computer-generated mockups convinced us to proceed with them.
When making an investment like a pool, I believe three things are important: quality, value, and responsiveness (communication). Rock Bottom came through on all three counts. The pool they installed looks wonderful and is set up for many years of low-maintenance use. The cost was very reasonable (significantly lower than our other bid), and options to upgrade the pool were quite affordable. And finally, Rock Bottom personnel were quite responsive. For example, when I inquired about a block wall option, they quickly updated the computer drawings to incorporate it; when we needed to pick out tile, they immediately set up an appointment to do so, and all questions along the way were answered promptly. They also beat their construction duration estimate. We are very happy with the functionality and the look of our pool. I would recommend Rock Bottom Pools to anyone who is even thinking about installing a pool.

I called Carlos tree service after the last wind storm, where 2 palms started leaning ready to fall. I sent him some photos and he quickly gave me a reasonable estimate. I can't say enough good things about this company!! I mostly dealt with Monica who was incredible. She was there with me every step of the way when my 35 year old tree blew down during a storm. It was a week before thanksgiving and they were able to come out the next day to get it taken care of. I spoke to them at 5 pm the night before. Monica showed up with the crew and explained how everything was going to go. They were fast, professional with my yard and property. Monica then helped assist me with my insurance claim to make sure it was exactly what they needed so I could get my claim closed. It's stressful when life throws you a curveball but they truly made it all so much easier than I was anticipating. Quick responses, and everyone I dealt with or spoke to was very kind to me. This is my first time going to Dr. Krauss’s office. The waiting room was very clean and inviting the staff was amazing. Amber and Daisy are perfect at the front reception area. Sometimes patients are nervous when they go to the dentist they make you feel ant ease and welcomed. Dr. Krauss was very professional kind and explained everything in detail. First Choice Dentistry is very skilled and professional. As part of my treatment plan I was referred to UCLA. When I went to the dentist at UCLA, the team there “ooohed and ahhhed” at the work that had been done on my mouth by First Choice. They were so impressed. I was an avid runner, recovering from old chronic use injuries. I transitioned to HIIT style workouts that combined strength/resistance, cardio/plyometrics, etc. I ended up with terrible pain deep in my hip/groin which limited mobility. I thought I just pulled something. After about 2 weeks of worsening symptoms, I decided to just go to a chiropractor. I googled around, looked at reviews, and decided to go with Active Life. I’m so glad I did. Dr. Walker helped me greatly. To begin with, on my very 1st visit, he did some mobility tests, and told me I may have a labral tear in my hip. Dr. Walker continued on with modified adjustment, being extra cautious with my injured hip/groin area. He recommended I see my primary doctor, and get an MRI. (which I did ASAP, and Dr. Walker was 100% correct; I had a torn hip labrum) As a result, I’ve been able to modify my workout routine to protect, and strengthen that area. Plus, my regular adjustments with Dr. Walker have helped me so much in my recovery. Each time I go, I feel so much improvement in the way I stand, walk, run, and jump. I have much better mobility, strength, and overall stability. All my pain has decreased, and I feel so much more positive about my ability to return to a fully active lifestyle. As a final shoutout, the front desk staff, and all the PT-assistants that provide e-stim treatments are all so positive, understanding, and professional. It works no pain i'm 86 years old and have put up with lowerback pain for years . After the spinal decompression therapy i can do physical work with out any back pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Hoffman. I was a bit skeptical at first that I would be able to get back into alignment without painful manipulation. I have a bad shoulder and chiropracting has always involved a lot of pain to get my spine back into alignment. Dr. Hoffman's Gentle Chiropractic method fixed my issues without the painful adjustments.

Everyone here acts like a professional, with focus on the pets. Dr Rakow was wonderful to squeeze in my rabbit for an emergency spay. Price for surgery was very reasonable.
If you own a horse, you know they can be expensive. It's not only food and boarding and equipment, they occasionally need medical care. If you are a pro-active horse owner, you can sometimes head off major medical expenses with preventive care. We use Bakersfield Large Animal Hospital for all our needs. There are three vets in residence and they are all very good. Dr. John Tolley is the head vet and heads the staff. Dr. Gonzales has the second longest tenure. He is very conscientious and great with the horses. Dr. Ordonez-Jones is the newest addition. He speaks Spanish. He graduated from Davis and came to Bakersfield. Every other year we take our horses in for dental work. Dr. Tolley did the horse's teeth this year. They use mechanical tools to get the teeth just right. (Horse's teeth grow throughout their life and have to be "shaped" on a regular basis). We like using Bakersfield Large Animal Hospital because all the doctors there are willing to talk to us, answer all our questions, and give alternative treatment programs. They also talk to each other. They will discuss cases and try to come up with the best diagnosis and treatments. When you're dealing with veterinary care, I consider this VERY important. The rest of the staff - Rudy, Katherine, and the others - are very good at handling the horses and keep things running smoothly. Bakersfield Large Animal is on Taft Hwy. They have a full service equine vet hospital.

After our at the time 5 month old Frenchie broke one of his hind legs we were looking for a surgeon that could get us in ASAP. Bakersfield regional veterinary surgical specialty got us in on the next business day. The love, care and attention our baby received was amazing. The staff were very helpful and understanding throughout the process. Dr. B was absolutely amazing! We couldn't have asked for anything more. We paid a pretty penny but it was expected and worth it we just wanted our baby to be taken care of. I would recommend and take him back should he ever need it.

A friend referred me to Dr. Thurman and team and I cannot thank her enough. I recently took the first of two cats for an annual exam and introduction. I immediately felt "at home" from the moment I walked in. I also appreciated not having to wait an extensive time; I feel like they schedule appropriately to see the animals (and their humans) in a timely manner.
Upon my first call, the office was not accepting new clients. While disappointed, I admired that they did not over schedule themselves. I have since been able to secure a spot thankfully.

Great Hands is very professional and easy to work with! I loved my massage from Debbie. As a pregnant mama with a toddler, you can imaging all the aches, pains and tensions i walked in there with. I got 90 min and SO worth it. Debbie knows exactly how to work out tension and tend aches with NO pain unlike some less experienced therapists. She has wonderful cussions, and support tools for all your massage needs. Will be back again and will be sending my husband, mom, sister, and so on. Very trusting, secure, clean environment! My husband and I get massages every week from these massage therapists. They are great at what they do and very knowledgeable of the problem areas that we need work on. The heating pad on the massage table is a nice touch, and the atmosphere of the room is very relaxing.

This establishment is very clean with friendly staff, the massages feel amazing, I got a 4 hand massage and it felt great, they are very professional, the room colors are also very pleasing to the eye. This is my personal opinion of this establishment.
Jay provided a great massage! He created a very relaxing atmosphere and can be very gentle at times, but also knows the body really well and gets into your problem areas to remove the aches and pains. I personally love a deep massage but he can provide anything in between to fit whatever your needs are.
Very professional and you can't beat a heated bed!! I just found this place on accident back in September 2024 and it has been my go to from ten on. Every time, Ling does a Phenomenal job on making sure that all knots are out. She does her best to even notice recognizable pains that may need a lighter hand. The only thing that is missing from the massage is the hot stones for which they did have on my first visit. All in all I don't go elsewhere because I know what to expect and I know how I like to feel when I leave and they do it every time.

I’m writing this review for shujuan zhang who has restored my faith in natural healing. I came to her with more than a hand full of problems. She’s honestly the ONLY Dr. who leaves me better than the way she found me emotionally and physically. I left telling her “I love you”. I usually do not tell people that ? especially people I barely know. I trusted her from the moment we got to talking. I even was hesitant to write this because I don’t want to attract her more business. She’s already always busy with patients. She’s rare gold and she is only 10 minutes away from me, too. Dr Lu is the best acupuncturist ever! He will exceed your expectations. He will listen to your needs. I always come out feeling relaxed and my pain level is always much lower.
I booked an appointment for cupping therapy, and Kim did it very well, my arms and back pain was so much better after one session. Am sure I will be back soon.

Fairly new to acupuncture, have now been 4 times for my TMJ . Let me tell you , relief has been a godsend . I do not want to continue to rely on medication, Dr Zen took his time to talk and listen . Both Dr Zen and Eva have been amazing .
We started acupuncture 3 weeks ago for my husband and so far everything has been outstanding. Even after his first visit he started to see results. Dr. Kim and his staff are very nice and very accommodating for me and my husband. I would highly recommend their services.
I have been experiencing extreme pain in my leg from Sciatica for 3 months, I went to the hospital, private clinics, but they only gave me medication for pain, honestly none of that makes me feel better.When I came to see Dr.Lin, I could barely stand. I recommend Akal Driving School. I got 8 driving lessons behind the wheel because I needed practice before taking the driving test. The instructor Ish was very patient and helpful in making sure I knew the rules of the road and that I knew how to drive to pass the test. I passed the driving test 1st time! Thank you Akal Driving School! I recommended them to everyone wanting to pass the driving test and becoming a good driver!
