“My daughters took one of our cats over to have vaccinations and a therapy grooming done. They said the lobby is very neat and clean, and the receptionist are attentive. The only things they could improve on were creating an exact list and price estimate of services available on their website, as well as some sort of area stating that cash and credit/debit card are both accepted.Otherwise, everything was great: the services were excellent, and our cat was much better.“

“The best experience I’ve had at a vet! Coordinating through phone and email was quick and the staff were very helpful. They had convenient availability. Prices are thousands less than the LA area. There was a bit of a wait because they are popular, but nothing extreme. Waiting area is smaller so if you have a reactive dog wait outside once checking in. The surgeon we saw, Dr B, was kind and professional and explained everything. This was my second TPLO consult, first with him, but he had an interactive diagram that allowed you to see how the knee works before and after surgery. It was ingenious! He has a small European accent but it is definitely understandable. His follow up phone call after surgery was appreciated. The rest of the staff, especially Shelby, really helped put my mind at ease about the facility and quality of care. I’d recommend to anyone in need of dog/cat surgery.“

“I have been a loyal client of Southwest for over 15 years. They have always been my go-to even when I lived across town. The staff is always kind and compassionate toward my and my pets' needs. They have always tried to squeeze me in when having urgent needs. Dr. Love is one of my favorite doctors but to be honest all the doctors have always taken great care of my two girl doggies. The only reason i can't give them a 5 star is due to their phone lines being tied up (lots busy signals!) and relatively small office. I can say they have truly outgrown this location and could really benefit from a larger office and better phone system.“

“A pack of stray PitBulls (4) Broke into my yard at 2:30am. They killed my Loyal German Shepard and my Miniature Donkey They mauled my miniature cow named Tuesday. I called every single Large animal Vet in Kern County begging for help to save my cows ears and left eye. (I know.... It's so horrible) she was bit everywhere and I was DEVASTATED. I couldn't find a single Vet willing to come out even after hours they all said sorry but NO!...... I was So Desperate and afraid I gave this Vet another call and spoke with the staff girls. I will be FOREVER GRATEFUL to these women for getting a DVM to at least prescribe antibiotics. They even stayed late (45 minutes) So I could make it there to pick up the Medication.. This Vet doesn't usually work on Cows but they made an exception for us. ThankYou for helping me. Sincerely Stacie G.“

“I recently took my 2 babies to this location for check-up and dental examinations and the entire vibe and knowledgeable staff was AMAZING! The waiting room was a little busy, but considering the time of day and the fact they're a functioning animal hospital the staff were very patient and friendly. The veterinarian was EXTREMELY friendly and I really appreciated it that when I'd ask questions she would give me a compassionate but direct answer. I don't know how long they will be accepting NEW clients, but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that if you're looking for a vet to please give this office the chance. I can't express how much they had me at ease with ALL of the staff's compassion and professionalism.“

“Everyone was nice and lovely. Prescription that was assigned worked on the first time. $50 for consult and $20 for eye drops. I was able to get in a week as a new patient, much better than during the pandemic when Vet's weren't taking new patients or if they were, it was months out for an appointment.
