The new J Thomason Salon is absolutely stunning. It’s spotless, beautifully designed, and has such a relaxing atmosphere. I was visiting from out of town and decided to treat myself to a luxury blowout and style with Susie.
Susie did a wonderful job. My hair looked gorgeous and held up for several days before I needed to wash it again. The luxury blowout includes a treatment, and while my hair felt great afterward, I wasn’t quite sure which treatment I received. I would have loved a little more consultation about options based on my hair needs. The products used smelled amazing and made my hair feel so healthy. I actually asked what they were because if I had been shown or offered them, I definitely would have purchased to take home and support the salon.
Both Susie and the owner were kind and welcoming throughout my visit. Susie was also super easy to chat with and gave me fantastic recommendations for local spots to eat and shop. Overall, I really enjoyed my time there and would happily come back the next time I’m in town!

What a GREAT experience I had with Teresa! I was pretty nervous, as I’ve never had any permanent ink, much less on my face! But after arriving to her very clean and very pretty studio, in just a few minutes I was put at complete ease as she explained the entire process and checked in with me periodically as she worked her magic. I just went to Cherry Eyebrow Threading for the first time today. It was a wonderful experience. I loved the way Amira shaped my brows in a natural way. My face feels so soft after my first threading. It felt stimulating but not painful. Well worth the time and money for the amazing results.

Vincent gives an awesome cut and beard style. Friendly atmosphere and easy appointment booking. Washing the hair after the cut was a really nice touch that i haven't gotten from other salons. I'm definitely going back when it's time for a touch-up.

Love this old school -walk in only- barber shop. They have always made me feel comfortable which I so appreciate! And their walk in services make it really quick and easy to stop in and freshen up. Price is always affordable, the best I have found in town - and I experimented with a few shops while I was finding my style. So it says something that this is where I always go back to! Feels like home.
My kids like it here,so it's a fight to get them to go somewhere else. They do a good job but it's definitely on the pricier side for a 15 minute haircut. Not a dig to the business, but money is money and there are other places in town that can do the same cut for almost half.

Great place for red-light therapy and infrared sauna: was on vacation getting my sessions for overall health, when I ended up with multiple grade-5 sprains and BOY did those sessions ultimately speed up the healing process, so I was able to get on a plane home-1
Nice place--could be a little higher end (the floors are painted cement with rugs that could be a little nicer) but it is what it is. Nice receptionists and beds normally available. Not sure what Judy S what talking about cash only but that is NOT correct. They take credit cards. I would recommend this place.

Montana at Polished Nail Boutique is now my absolute go-to for pedicures in TC. The space is inviting and cozy, with a great mix of gel options. During my visit, I brought in a nail color they didn’t have exactly, but Montana worked with me and helped me find something so close I ended up liking it even more!
I love that Montana took her time and focused on the details, so my nails always look perfect without feeling rushed. At larger nail salons, I'm almost always in some sort of pain (cut of the cuticle, rubbed my skin raw, poked me with their tools). But Montana's services was absolutely painless and refreshing! I've never felt better after a pedicure, truly.
Booking online is simple, which makes planning ahead a breeze. Between her skill, professionalism, and friendly personality, I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

Tracy always does a fantastic job on my nails, I literally recommend tc nails to everyone I met. This last time she did black nails with little flowers and leaves on them and they look AMAZING. The details are perfect, I don’t know how she does it.
The nail tech I seen was working on his 32nd birthday and had plans to go home and make a nice dinner. He still took the time to make sure my nails looked literally perfect. I can’t recommend this place enough. Not to mention I was a walk in and walked out less than an hour later.

Bob installed a water softener, drain, sink and reworked some plumbing for us. I had a rough idea on how I wanted it and he worked with me to get it perfect. Bill saved me today! While changing a light fixture in my 1893 home I ended up causing a wire to disconnect in my attic! Afraid of causing a house fire I panicked and started calling electricians. Apparently many are not servicing private residences anymore. Bill was so kind and understanding. He came quickly and secured my wiring and will be sending someone this coming week to run new wire and make sure my home is safe. There are no words to express my gratitude.

We are repeat customers of Pristine Floor Care. We love the ease of scheduling and the attention to detail that the technician provides. We have never been disappointed with the results. We have four pets and there is no trace of pet odor in the carpeting when finished. He is also great at removing pet stains. I just unrolled the two nine by twelve Persian rugs Scott cleaned for us. He did a gorgeous job! They look as good as the day we brought them home. (20 and 30 years ago). I hadn’t realized how drab (dirty) they had gotten. Colors are again bright, fringe is white, no odors or issues at all. It is without reservation that I recommend Scott’s services. Thanks Scott!

Gone for the weekend came home to a toilet that had been running since we left. Flicked the handle and it stopped. Water in bathroom, bedroom and some in living room, ugh! Called Serv Pro and Cameron and Ryan came out the next day. They set up a dehumidifier and five different fans to dry things up. Cam came to the house two other times to check things out. 8 days later we were dry. Ryan came and took out the dehumidifier and the last fan, we are dry now, yay!! Serv Pro did an excellent job! Wouldn’t hesitate to call on them again, although I hope we never need them again.
Lee and Chris were very friendly and efficient. There was apparently a miscommunication regarding what services we expected and Lee adjusted the bill accordingly. Nice customer service! We discovered a mar in one wall where the paint was damaged, possibly by the large hose or something smacking into it. Wish they had admitted to it before they left. Maybe they didn’t realize it happened. But we’ll fix it, not a huge deal. Will definitely use GTCC again, good guys!

We, unfortunately don’t live here in Traverse City, but our experience with these folks was exceptional. We have been RVing for last 6 weeks and ran into this business. Not only did they allow us to stay overnight in their parking lot but they also had a 30/50 amp electrical box for us to plug our camper into. AND they have WiFi for their guests that works better than any campground we’ve stayied at. Brock even came out to our spot and made sure we saw where the plug was. Then we wound up chatting for probably 20 minutes. Super nice guy and well spoken. I would do business with these folks in a heartbeat. As homeowners ourselves and recently had carpet replaced, Brock is definitely someone I wish we had the pleasure of working with.

Paul and Luke did a professional job and then some when they laid flooring in my house on 9/6/22. All joins are tight; all lines are straight. No floor squeaks; no loose spots. They solved a problem I didn't expect to be solved: some rooms already had floor strips; I didn't think it and the new strips in the remaining rooms could be made to line up. Luke and Paul lined up the flooring to make it look like it had all been laid down in the same job. Beyond that, they work smoothly and efficiently. They don't look rushed, yet they don't waste time. I imagine Bay View's other crews are just as professional. But next time I call Bay View, I'll ask for Paul and Luke.

Heritage Wood Floors did a tremendous job of installing a beautiful maple hardwood floor in my house! I give them the highest recommendation possible. The humidity level in my house was especially low, too low initially to allow for a proper installation and Bill (owner) made numerous out to my house checking and working with others to ensure that the humidity level was increased to allow for an installation that would stay nice and smooth after the humidity increased in the summer and not buckle the floor. This included bringing out the manufacturers rep for his opinion and recommendations. Doing the right thing, the first time is a great practice. It may add a little extra time to the project, but in the end, it is very much worth the wait. In all, they installed a lovely floor expertly. Thank you so much for a lovely floor!

Hallmark Construction has completed two projects at The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park and we have been extremely pleased with the quality of their work, their consistent communication throughout construction and their willingness to bend over backwards to meet our timelines and expectations. The beautiful 3-tier Silo Fountain and the new concrete switchback ADA ramp are wonderful additions to the Botanic Garden. Kudos to Hallmark! (By the way, they were also the low bid for both projects - fair and reasonable estimates).

I just had THE BEST experience with Basch Excavating. We needed a new waterline installed from the street to the house and they did an excellent job. We had a complete home build done by Pinegrove and they made it as easy as possible. Matt and Blair were very friendly, professional and always stayed in touch during process. From the beginning, TOMS was professional and responsive for our hydroseeding inquiry. Tom provided all of the information we needed to get started including pricing and step by step instructions. By the time we booked, he was out within the next week to seed. The whole process was quick and easy! His 40+ years in the business don't go unnoticed. He was beyond helpful in answering all of our questions. He even came back to reseed the washed out areas after an unexpected torrential down pour a few days after application. 10/10 would recommend.

I wish I had found Zimmerman's years ago. A little inconvienent for me but sooo worth it. I found a few things I had been looking for,some I wasn't looking for and what I didn't find they very willingly ordered it and in good time. He has been very helpful in finding the out of the ordinary for me. I try to buy native,wildlife plants and trees that are hard to find. I had intense pain in both of my wrists for over a year. I took medicines and tried different physical therapy’s and even got my hands viewed by a specialist and nothing changed. I was scared I would become disabled as it became painful to hold even a mug of coffee. One visit and a quick manipulation on my wrists and I got my life back. Dr Pluhar is a healer.
I was in town for a work trip recently for a few days and was all out of wack. My lower back felt so tight and neck was achy as well. I found Dr. Strasko and she was able to work me into her schedule. Although I was only able to get in for a couple adjustments during my stay, I’m feeling 100% better and so thankful for her. I don’t know how I’d have been able to get through the trip if it wasn’t for her. Thanks Doc! Hope to see you again soon!
Dr. Sherry Weir was absolutely amazing! My usual chiropractor was out of town and I had some very painful spots rise up out of nowhere. She was able to get me in right away and listened to everything going on with me. She was very knowledgeable, caring and friendly! I highly recommend her <3 thank you so much!

My dog was bit by another dog on one of our up north trips, we were closest to Long Lake Animal Hospital so that is where we ended up and I am so thankful. They were so kind and quick getting us in to be seen and were so kind when I was obviously upset. They were so nice to my rescue dog and were extremely thorough in their examination and follow up instructions. The prices were very reasonable. Thank you SO MUCH to Faith, Emily and the rest of the staff that helped us, our dog is doing great.

Dr. Mason does a wonderful job taking care of our two dogs. We have an older Samoyed who requires pretty routine (and a lot of the time sporadic) care, and Oakwood is always very accommodating in getting her in on a short notice.

Missi led a Pilates session for my husband, my daughter and me. I have done Pilates for years while my family is new to it. She easily instructed us all based on our individual abilities. My family got to see why I enjoy the exercise and how good instructors can make a huge difference. I would highly recommend Pilates Sestina for individual or group instruction.
