The Grand Traverse Veterinary Hospital provides exceptional care to animals, demonstrated by their willingness to go above and beyond for their patients. The hospital has a reputation for being kind, compassionate, and professional, even in urgent situations. The staff is dedicated to providing peace of mind for pet owners, as shown by their ability to see a severely ill dog on short notice, despite being farther away from the owners' location. The hospital's knowledge and expertise are also evident in their helpful and informative interactions with clients.
The hospital has received positive reviews from clients, who praise the staff's dedication and the excellent care provided to their pets. Clients have mentioned that the staff all seem to love their work and take wonderful care of the animals. The hospital has a few veterinarians, including Dr. J and Chase Murr, who are described as excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable.
However, one client had a negative experience with Dr. Rodes, who was perceived as unempathetic and judgmental when the client sought anxiety medication for their dog during a difficult time when their child was diagnosed with Leukemia. The client felt that Dr. Rodes was unsupportive and suggested giving the dog away, which the client found unacceptable.
Despite this isolated negative experience, the Grand Traverse Veterinary Hospital continues to provide high-quality care and has earned the trust and satisfaction of many pet owners in the area.
I take all three of my dogs here and have always had such a great experience. The office staff and veterinarians are wonderful with communication, and I truly feel like they genuinely care about my dogs. They always treat any concerns I have with urgency, compassion, and empathy, which means so much when it comes to your pets. I’m so grateful to have a veterinary team I can trust with all three of my pups! Special shout out to Dr. Giles ❤
We switched to this vet based on recommendations from several of my coworkers, and vet visits went from being an absolute nightmare with our very anxious pooch to being a breeze. Our old vet said it wasn't possible to cut our girl's nails because she was too reactive. Dr. Marr and his staff were able to do this on Pepper's very first visit! Pepper absolutely loves Dr. Marr, and all the vet techs who visit her room. You can tell how much the staff care for animals based on how they treat our girl to make her feel at ease, and they are conscientious about reactive dogs to limit their stress and anxiety during the visit. The techs are clear and transparent with services… read full review
From the minute a person with their furry friend walks in the door, the staff at GT Veterinary clinic are attentive, kind, and nothing short of amazing. From making our pet (and us!) feel at home to their fair pricing and explanations of procedures, there's no other clinic I'd want to attend. Thank you Dr Marr, Dr Roeters and Dr Dush for your incredible service..and your staff go above and beyond as well. Kudos!
