“My three year old has a blast going and dancing. The studio is upstairs in the second floor. They are very interactive and, at least for the 2-3yr old class, BTATJ is wonderful. I highly recommend them.“

“I love the Aerial classes like crazy. Stephon is probably my favorite mat class instructor. He is so genuinely himself when he teaches, and it makes his classes unique. He is great at slowing things down and explaining why we're doing what we're doing which helps me focus. He plays music I love that's different from the other classes. Probably my favorite thing is that he makes room in his class for time for you to work on whatever your body wants most. He does it in short bursts so the length isn't overwhelming or intimidating. It feels like he's handing his students the tools they need to create their own practice and honor their own bodies. HIGHLY recommend.“

“This studio offers a lot of options for classes that fit individual needs. It’s not cheap and not close by to me, but I am still happy to go! I’ve been going to the prenatal yoga classes, which is a class rarely offered by yoga studios in the DC area. Friendly staff and professional instructors that make me feel safe and welcomed!!“

“I love this little corner of self care. It is truly a huge component in my effort to maintain good mental health in a otherwise quite demanding life! The diversity of classes, affordability, ethical business model, social justice engagement are huge plus for me, but the variety of teachers is what really helped me make this place mine, finding my right class (depending on the week and how I feel). I am beyond grateful that this place exists in my neighborhood.“

“I finally found my yoga home in DC! It took years of trying other studios here, but Epic is the most unique, supportive, welcoming space I've found here. The space itself is beautiful, but it's the teachers that really make it worthwhile. Amie's "peak pose" class is one of my favorites, it's a great class to deepen your practice and learn new poses. But seriously all of the teachers are great people and bring something unique to their classes.I'm also in their YTT program and highly recommend it to anyone thinking about doing it! They've really put so much thought and research into the coursework and materials. You learn so much about anatomical cueing and sequencing - more than many other programs, I think. I've learned so much from Emma and Amie (the lead teachers + studio owner and director), and feel like this program has really launched a new phase of my yoga journey.“

“One of the first classes I took at Willow Street Yoga was with Joe Miller. and I knew right away that this studio was unlike any other. The teachers practice careful alignment, incorporate breath and meditation seamlessly, creating a space that allows for steadiness and ease, on and off the mat.“

“Erica is a wonderful massage therapist. She truly cares about getting to know what you need, listens to what you request, and provides it. She ensures a relaxing and peaceful environment and knows how to work trigger points in a firm but gentle way (if that’s the sort of thing you want!). I feel amazing and whole whenever I leave her studio.“

“Since beginning my yoga practice in 2007 over the years I have taken classes from many different instructors at many different locations around the country and world. This studio is by far the most rooted in the spiritual basis of the Yoga tradition that I have been to. Every chance to participate in a class with Gopi is a chance for more spiritual grounding and growth. There were many times her words seemed to read my soul and mind with what I was feeling or going through. It is as if she is divinely connected to the pulse of the DC community and reflects back to us what we need. This place is a true gift. You will be pushed physically, but more importantly you will gain such wisdom and peace that will help you on your life's journey.“

“I am fortunate enough to have found this studio several years ago. The space is perfect: welcoming, cozy, clean, with tons of natural light, and skylights to look at just before you do Shavasana. Keith Moore is extremely knowledgeable, and his kind, gentle demeanor and corrections are mood boosting, so much so that you don't even notice what a demanding practice it can be!!! I like it so much that I take 3 different types of classes: 1) Led ashtanga, 2) Mysore and 3) Mixed-styles (with Cleo Kung) and I can't decide what I like best! They will work with you through health and injuries, making sure safety is always first. Try it out, you will LOVE it!“

“I've taken a handful of classes here, that were expertly designed and taught. The studio is big and airy. They had ample supplies and props so even in a very full class we had plenty of space and enough equipment. Most recently, Heather subbed for Denesia and it was great!“
